30 Year War


Prewar:  Kane and the Apostles slowly gather in strength and form groups of rebellious mages wishing to rid of the Atran King.

Year 1:

Kane sends several mages to cause havoc in areas across Atros.


Year 3: Percival, a playwright and court wizard assassinates the Atran king in a play. This sets the stage for the Apostle's first attack.

Apostles quickly overwhelm Atran forces, kill the Archmage Kam Lorne. They take over the country and leave Atros without an Archmage.

Apostles gather all artifacts from the Atrans to use for themselves.

Year 5: Kane begins conquering smaller countries, targeting particularly powerful Magi within those countries to help bolster his forces and/or power (by taking their artifacts if they refuse to join)

Council of Elders discusses the warmongering nature of Kane.

Kane is warned to settle down. 5 years of Silence follow, Kane rules Atros. His organization covertly undergoes missions that involve stealing or claiming artifacts for themselves. (At the time, no one knew these missions were occurring.)

Year 10: Kane declares war on Fyria first, and sends Pera to devastate the nation.

Pera lays waste to countless Fyrian cities. Zhengese Archmage Kwane moves into Fyria to help defend his allies.

The Golden Circle begins to be formed by King Uriel IV

Year 15:

Pera focuses on the noble Fyrian houses. Slaughters a few different noble families, and manages to kill Sumiko and Archmage Ryozen Himura




Year 17: Several Apostles are sent over to invade the Valmastren side: Alucard, Temur, Lorcan, Diana. They're all backed up by Percival's war machines.

Alucard, Diana, and the war machines focus upon Barione. Diana razes everything into the ground and blasts settlements with devastating fire magic.

Alucard converts anyone unfortunate enough to survive the genocide, turning them into his thralls.


Year 20:

Lorcan and Temur decimate Floria and parts of Valmastre. Lorcan razes and pillages everything in his wake, ripping their souls out and turning them into ghosts to do his bidding.

Temur reanimates the remaining bodies into shambling zombies

Lorcan slays the Florian Archmage, Simon Bellarose

Year 22:

The circle attains a huge victory with the defeat of Pera, who is defeated by Kwane and Izumi

Izumi is appointed the new Archsorceress, replacing Ryozen.

Year 24:

With Pera struck down, the threat to Fyria is mostly gone. Izumi and Kwane turn the tides together.

The Malkanese {Harpy} Archmagus Kyran, however, is slain by the Apostle Armel

Feylin, Izumi, and Kwane easily defeat Armel, along with the rest of the Apostles in Dolarum(Zhen, Fyria, Malkan). With their side secured, they set for defending Volarum.

Feylin becomes the next Malkanese Archmagus

An Atran rebel, Nickolas Vissarion (former  apprentice of Kam), manages to gather information for Percival's war machines. Nickolas invents war machines of his own using these diagrams.


Year 27: Clyde Bellarose defeats Diana, Archmagus Gustave and him team up to 'defeat' Alucard by draining his blood and sealing him beneath the ground. (Alucard cannot die due to his cursed artifact, Bloodwell.)

Clyde is given the new title of Archmagus

Clyde manages to defeat Temur, while Gus defeats Lorcan.

Year 29: Izumi, Kwane, and Feylin team together to defeat Cecile and Percival.

Year 30:

The battle for Atros begins. With no war machines, Kane is forced to rely on his few standing Apostles and loyal Magi.

Unfortunately, the Circle outnumbers them at this point, in both skill and number.

Kane is defeated by a large team; Gus, Izumi, Uriel IV, and Clyde

Uriel is slain. Right when Izumi was about to bite the dust, Gus and Clyde managed to defeat Kane together.

Uriel's son, Uriel V, is designated as king of Valmastre. So begins the Age of Recovery!
