  25. How many hours are you able to spend on ArcadeWars per week?:
  26. 25+
  27.
  28. Have you worked in a professional setting before? Moderated a community?:
  29. Mine-Zone [20+ Players] (Closed) - Helper -> Admin - This was the first server I ever worked on and I owe it all the credit for who I am today. It taught me the basics of being a staff member and set the foundation for everything I know now.
  30.
  31. ArcadeWars [600+ players then] (300+ Players) - Helper -> Senior Moderator - ArcadeWars was my first big break in which I learned a lot. I started to understand more about servers as well as learn how things should be done. A few of the staff members there were very supportive and understanding which was really how I started to learn and grow. As a new helper I had access to history, warn, and tempmute which really limited the number of problems I could solve. However, I quickly realized this was a genius idea because it taught the new helpers to communicate with the higher ranked staff members for bans, unwarns, etc. It was a great learning experience and showed me the true meaning of being staff.
  32.
  33. ArkhamNetwork (300+ Players) - Helper - I learned a lot about toxicity and how you shouldn't let it get to you. They did things a lot different from ArcadeWars so it was hard to change but I learned a lot about adjusting to new things.
  34.
  35. NoxiousPvP [100+ players then] (Failed) - Helper - I learned a lot about working with a team to put together a release, sadly this server was extremely rushed to put together and I saw 0 chance of the server working out. I decided to leave, but the experience I received carries on. I now understand that you can't rush updates and revamps, but you also can't take too long either.
  36.
  37. VanityMC [700+ Players] - Helper - It was the largest network I have ever worked for and built on to my problem-solving, multitasking, and dedication foundation that was put down by the other servers mentioned.
  38.
  39. Why do you want to become a staff member?:
  40. My Minecraft experience is filled with servers, in fact, all the memories I have made on Minecraft have been with servers. I have many experiences in my community and real-world thinking. I am doing marching band, and marching band has taught me that not everything is going to be easy, but no matter how hard of a bump life throws you, you have to stick with it. Another thing is that it takes a lot of determination to stick with marching band. Once I started, we had one week known as "band camp". During band camp, we wake up at 8:00 AM (EST) and start at 9:00 AM, however, we are outside for 3 hours (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM). Then we continue inside playing until 6:00 PM (6 hours). Then we finish the day by 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (3 more hours outside). Just to wake up and start over for the rest of the week, which is not the easiest thing to do considering there is more after that. Also, I can solve problems that are thrown at me, decently well. I am in a program called warrior tech, and in WarriorTech it teaches you what you need to know but in a different learning style. This unique learning style lets you work in groups most of the time. Meaning, that everyone's grade in your group is relying partially on you, so you have to be very responsible, and get everything done on time. This learning style is focused on your collaboration and communication skills.
  41.
  42. Apart of being in the marching band is having strong leadership and communication skills. I want to lose the fear of trying to help someone in the band out by teaching them something they do not know how to do or is struggling with. Teaching others is a huge goal of mine, however, it is a little difficult because of the communicating aspect of it. I really hope that this experience could help me conquer that fear of speaking out and leading a group.
  43.
  44. I've been in the community for a while, and it doesn't take much time to realize how entertaining the server is. You have an amazing server being run here, and I would love to be apart of the staff team as it would teach me more things that I need to know about in my Minecraft life, and the real world.
  45.
  46. Personally, I'm applying to help better the server with a winning attitude, Dedication, and hard-working staff member. The server could use some more unique ideas. Luckily I am a fast thinker, and if I get a lot of time I can give a lot of ideas.
  47.
  48. I tend to desire to help others, I always put 110% into everything I do, but once my mindset gets set on something, I get dedicated. Plus, I am always looking for a way to better myself, meaning I am always open for suggestions. Just like how I will take your feedback on my application, and use it to appeal to the constructive criticism by editing it.
  49.
  50. I am known in my community for being able to cope with peoples needs. Meaning I am a good problem solver, and a dedicated player. My dedication comes into play with my activity. If I enjoy a server, it does not even take a staff rank to be active. I just enjoy growing with the community.
  51.
  52. I take my job as staff on any server I'm on very seriously. So, when I start a project I do not tend to slack or even procrastinate. I do not let many things get in my way of helping a server. It takes a lot to get me off of a server once I lock in. So I am applying for your server to help as much as I can.
  53.
  54. ArcadeWarswould is a great opportunity and learning experience that many other servers would lack the ability to create. However, I think I would make a good Trainee because I love to help others and meet new people.
  55. Personally, I believe that I could be a great addition to the team in more ways than a typical staff application that you see. As I said I am a strong believer in goals, and as a result, I tend to set myself goals all the time. As for being a staff member on ArcadeWars, I hope to learn more that could help me with real-life experiences, such as moderation, communicating, and leadership. For in-game experiences, I would like to learn more about how servers work, how to solve conflict between two players, and how to be a stronger writer.
  56.
  57. ArcadeWars would be able to push me back in the right direction with my communication by really pushing for teamwork. I hope to be able to have a conversation and work with other members of the team well as well as being able to encourage other members to work hard.
  58.
  59. What is your opinion on the current state of ArcadeWars?:
  60. It's an amazing server! The only thing is that the server has "2 sides" so to speak. Instead of being 1 server with multiple universes it feels like two separate servers. People on Mario seem to be slightly rude to the skyblock players who join. However, that's just the bad because once you join any of the servers, you can easily find someone to fit in with and to talk too. Once you join you can easily form a family that could last your whole time on the server.
  61.
  62. If you could change just one thing on ArcadeWars, what would it be, and why?:
  63. Personally, I would try everything in my power to help the new players feel more needed, as they are the future of the server. Eventually, all the players that have ranks will leave and the only people that are there are either people who haven't joined yet and our current gamers. If I could find a way to prevent the gamers from this problem then I would make that my top priority.
  64.
  65. Have you been punished on any server before?:
  66. I have no punishments for wrongdoings, however, I was demoted from ArcadeWars for dual-staffing. It was entirely my fault, and there is no one else I can possibly blame.
  67.
  68. Is there anything else you'd like us to know?:
  69. To everyone who doesn't know the real reason I was demoted, and why I haven't been allowed back yet, is because I let the power get to my head, it was extremely immature and I’m really sorry. To me I did not see it as an honor to be even allowed on the staff team. Instead, I took it for granted and wanted more. I wanted attention. I didn’t realize at all it was ruining my friendship with all my friends. I had resigned from Sr. Mod for school purposes and partially for attention, it was extremely immature of me. Then when I was given probably my last chance to be staff for ArcadeWars, I went and messed it up again. I was demoted for dual-staffing, and it was a completely logical punishment because I had just been striked for the same reason.
  70.
  71. Chances are this application will be denied, and I don't blame the admins, but I want to think anyone who supported me through all these mistakes that I have made. It means a lot to me, and even if this application is denied I won't forget the things I've learned here.
