  14. While we primarily discuss Team Fortress 2, TF2-adjacent games and mods like TFC, TF2C, and Open Fortress are allowed. However, be aware that these will likely not attract as much discussion as TF2 itself.

  29. Backpack.tf is what most TF2 traders and players use to check the value of their items. However, some users don’t use it and check the prices of the items by visiting trading sites, including trade.tf, stntrading.eu, tf2trade.tf.

The cause of death was never disclosed, so tf2g users were quick to make up a joke that b4nny (his teammate) ate him, using pictures of b4nny's undercooked steaks.

  78. Konata Izumi is the main character of the anime series Lucky Star, which had its peak popularity in the year TF2 came out (2007). As such there was a ton of crossover between the two, and Lucky Star characters were featured on the famous map mario_kart (as seen on trade servers, Team Fabulous 2, etc). So, over time the users of tf2g have started to consider her related to TF2's cultural identity.

  105. Since tf2 is so poorly optimized, a lot of people still have trouble running this 17 year old game. Use a maxfps config such as https://comfig.app/app/ (recommended) or the ones in https://cfg.tf/ (outdated but still used).

  109. The TF2 Emporium is the largest collective of workshoppers (people who make content for the game). It started on the Facepunch forums and later became a discord server. This server is responsible for a maintaining a pseudo-monopoly over the game's content via a combination of harassment, gatekeeping, and nepotism. They hoard the esoteric resources and knowledge for making items for themselves, prioritize only working with members of their own secret club, and have actively chased out people who are not members of the inner circle despite claiming to welcome newbies. Some members (Drew and Metabolic) have even gone so far as to dox and commit identity theft on people they don't like. Members of the TF2 Emporium have been caught browsing tf2g before.

  121. scrap.tf- Stocks keys, scrap, hats and other items. You can also raffle here but a lot of tf2gs are banned from the "Footrest Incident." If you do decide to raffle here, make sure it's private and hide the url in an image. Due to the automated nature of the raffles, non-tf2gs would be able to enter otherwise. Run by Geel and jessecar.
