What kind of relationship do you think these two have? Fenex (Phoenix? idk) and Stolas are both Ars Goetia, but are they Stella's family?

Well, in pic related we call the white bird Augustus. He also also married to another birdemon Layla. It's thread canon stuff. For example, you can see here >>43438695 by the based drawnon August and his wife Layla having an or gy with Stella and Stolas. Here's one also >>43440542

As for phenix, we don't really have a face for him other than some fanart of other similar looking birdemon. There are a few greens about Phenix and his misadventures. Maybe those can give you some sense or inspiration of their relationship.

As the sperg who writes for Phenex for some God-Forsaken reason I personally think Phenex is antagonistic to Stella and Stolas. Stolas because he f-ks Imps which Phenex sees as improprer and degenereative. For Stella he finds hers pathetic for not being able to control her life and for being cheated on for an imp. But for the Pennas, Phenex is neutral/friendly with them. He simply thinks the couple is perfect.

For his looks I’ve always thought of either the Chinese Fenghuang or Slavic Folklore “Firebird”. Honestly, I lean more to the Fenghuang because some say that the Fenghuang was basically a Golden Pheasant and that’d be a neat look for an Ars Goetia.

I see. He seems to be more of lax trickster to me, so I like to imagine even if he is antagonistic or critical, he isn't outright mean or aggressive to them about it. He just has his thoughts about them but wouldn't really go out of his way to call them out. He's someone to slide in some clever refence or allusion to it for the antagonization, like referencing it but indirectly. After all, he is meant to be an "excellent poet"
But here's the thing which I kinda got from the Stella enjoys the Pennas fanfic (it's been a while so I might be remembering it all wrong), he still respects (or at least respected) Stolas as his superior and Stella. Phenex is a marquis while Stolas - a prince. So, I think in that fanfic it was well done with how he got very surprised over the things he learns about the couple and naturally as a poetry and science themed demon he did get more curious about them to follow their drama during that fic. I think you handled that character well with him not being that overtly antagonistic. He is much more clever than that.
Maybe that's really random but I just remembered that about him from your fics I've read. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong though.

I dunno. I wrote the bulk of the Pennas and Goetias greens, and the Phenex parts were written by someone else. But as far as I remember, he was portrayed as a vindictive stalker and information broker, who progressively lost all respect he had for the Goetias, and then threw a hissyfit when Lilith told him to behave. He wants to get back to Heaven, most of his family is one, and the one son he's left with is a disappointment. On top of that, even his accomplice, President Ose, thinks he's an ass for trying to use the Queen's swinger party to get dirt on other nobles, since the entire thing was thrown in the name of hedonism.

Honestly, it's very interesting to see people discuss Phenex. He's a neat character and I'll do more with him in the future.

Generally, I use Phenex as either a witness or doing something minor in the plot of a greentext. For example, when some Anon wrote about I.M.P watching Satanon and a part talked about the I.M.P van getting torn up I decided to make Phenex be the one who tore it up.
