1. [collapse=Highbornes]There are two main topics that are crucial to explain in this canon: The Highborne as a species, and the azureweave. ([small]and how they are interconnected as a whole[/small])
 2.
 3. For the sake of simplicity though ([small]avoiding TLDR[/small]), we'll only go through what a Highborne's most noticeable characteristics are:
 4.
 5.
6. [big]Age[/big]
 7.
Highbornes can be considered ageless after a certain point in there life. At a certain point in time between the young adult years to adult years, a Highborne will cease aging physically, and the reason as to why this happens ([small]besides the obvious connection to the azureweave[/small]) isn't fully known at this time, nor what triggers this to happen. ([small]think of it as a second puberty[/small])
8.
 9. [big]Physique[/big]
 10.
While Highbornes are inherently tall by nature, with the majority being approximately 6'9" [~2 meters] in height, they are also more busty and curvy in general; however, 'over-eating' with Highbornes isn't something that will cause any form of physical manifestations, even with excess gluttony over long periods of time. ([small]see: metabolism[/small])
11.
 12.
With the use of azureweave, however, their physique can indeed be changed at will to varying degrees. They can also grow limbs of a less complex nature, such as tentacles; however, they could not replicate a full arm with adequate bone structure, muscle tissues, nerves, etc. Simple limbs however, with certain functionalities are something they can do. These limbs also become part of their body while they exist. ([small]though most Highbornes will most likely remove them after they've outlived their usefulness[/small])
13.
 14.
Highbornes inherently can heal themselves rather quickly, and actually be technically killed; however, if they still have remaining energy at their disposal ([small]connection to the azureweave[/small]), they will eventually heal and return to a 'factory default' state. This takes place at a molecular level and is not something they will be consciously doing; moreover, they can regenerate fully from a singular molecule, given they have enough energy to do so. Though if this happens, they will also suffer from loss of memory ([small]permanent amnesia[/small]) throughout the complete loss of physical consciousness. ([small]This is, of course, assuming the Highborne is capable of storing this incredible amount of required energy[/small])
15.
 16.
Highbornes are inherently more stretchy than most beings due to the nature of how they come by their sustenance.
17.
 18.
Highbornes also have venom glands which secrete into the bloodstream of a bitten host through the canine incisors, the side-effects of this toxin are: Increased sex drive/libido and greatly increased production of urination and semen ([small]up to ten times![/small]) This can also also lead to potential downsides if the liquid is not purged. These downsides range from discomfort potentially to rupturing one's bladder and/or prostate.
19.
 20. [big]Metabolism[/big]
 21.
This is where the most interesting of a Highborne's traits lie.
22.
 23.
Food for a Highborne is not what one would normally consider sustenance, but instead it's feeding off of other being's bodily fluids life-energy ([small]semen, urine, blood, milk, etc[/small]) to refill their 'energy' pool. Due to this, they do not have a functioning digestive system in the regular means, and do not excrete solid waste. While various bodily fluids will be of a different kind of 'meal' for Highbornes, it's something they do require to survive. Over-eating will cause no benefit for a Highborne, effectively causing them to release said energy into the environment around them. There is no buffer for this, and many times energy is simply wasted away as it's digested. If semen is excreted while half-digested, it appears as a sticky, viscous greyish goo.
24.
 25.
Highbornes still require adequate hydration to function, and thus they still require one of the normal means of producing biological waste. ([small]urine and perspiration[/small])
26.
 27.
A Highborne's bodily fluids are rather unique in they have various properties that enhance their ability to find a suitable partner to feed from. These include but are not limited to: Being mildly addictive, a mild aphrodisiac and contain an tissue elasticizing agent.
28.
 29. [big]Mortality[/big]
 30.
Highbornes are considered 'immortal' by traditional means, but they are still very capable of dying. Once they go through their transition and become ageless, they will be able to live an indefinite amount of time; however, that's assuming that they keep their bodies at sufficient energy levels.
31.
 32.
Energy is a Highborne's general level of 'health' and their ability to use the azureweave. If they use too much of the azureweave and do not replenish their energy stores, they will eventually lose corporeal form and effectively expire.
[/collapse]
