  1. >You turn your head and suddenly something impacts against you
  2. >”What the!”
  3. >It’s a young light orange filly with a purple mane
  4. “Snow Slate!”
  5. >You freeze as the filly starts to rub her face against you and hugs you
  6. >That’s your full name
  7. >You usually don’t share it with ponies, but this filly knows it, that means she knows you
  8. >You feel something moist as the filly starts to cry against your coat
  9. “I-I though I would never see you again...”
  10. >The filly lifts her head and looks at you straight in the eyes
  11. >And you stare back at her
  12. “S-snow Slate?”
  13. >You push the filly away to get free from her grip and then get back up as the filly stares at you with worry
  14. >”Listen kid, I need you to tell me everything you know about me”
  15. >The filly stares at you with shock
  16. “W-what are you saying? Are you ok?”
  17. >You feel a light headache incoming
  18. >”Out with it, I haven’t got all day, I’ve lost my-“
  19. >The filly looks devastated and as a few tears drop from her eyes she suddenly takes off running towards the woods
  20. >You waste no time running after her
  21. >”Come back here!”
  22. >Ugh, this is why you hate kids...
  23. >You look around but see no signs of the filly, but you do notice something else
  24. >a couple of birds on the ground, flapping their wings like their life depended on it, yet still remaining on the ground
  25. >”Kind of like my wings...”
  26. >Suddenly your ears twitch as you hear sobs coming from your right
  27. >You quickly run after the sounds, jumping over roots and plants while dodging trees as you gallop
  28. >You arrive to a very small clearing and you stop moving so you can listen and survey the area
  29. >You can’t pick up her sobs anymore, but you do notice something else that’s off
  30. >the similar kind of frost, all over various plants and on the ground
  31. >that makes no sense... frost would have melted away by now, it’s not the warmest but still not that cold
  32. >Suddenly you hear a scream
  33. >It’s definitely the sound of that filly
  34. >You run towards where you think you heard the sound as you pant while your head pounds
  35. >You knew you were not in the best of shapes but to be this out of breath...
  36. >You stop dead on your tracks as you see the filly lying on the ground as a small cloud of haze seems to settle down around her
  37. >”No...no way...”
  38. >The filly is lying on the ground, before an open flower
  39. >”You’ve got to be kidding me!”
  40. >You kick the ground angrily
  41. >It’s an Amnesia blossom
  42. >You angrily bite your mouth shut as you glare at the already drooping flower, but then you collect yourself and walk over to the filly
  43. >The pollen does not stay active for more than a few seconds since it’s a defense mechanism of the flower if anything gets too close to it, now that the pollen has settled and fallen to the ground it’s safe to say it’s harmless
  44. >You lift the filly onto your back and as you do so you notice something else
  45. >there’s a lot of that frost looking stuff near the base of the flower, maybe that has something to do with the fact that you have come across another one of a flower that’s considered very rare and some ponies never see one during their lifetime
  46. >You turn around and start walking towards the house
  47. >hopefully this filly will remember something of use when she wakes up, and since you have no idea where you actually are you do not really feel like going adventuring, especially with this extra baggage you have to carry now
  48. >you keep walking in grumpy silence while surveying more things that are unable to fly, like butterflies and dragonflies, flapping their wings on the ground in panic
  49. >The walk back does not take too long and soon enough you see the familiar house with the freaky sculpture
  50. >You go in and set the filly on the couch before sitting down and sighing
  51. >”Great, just bloody great...”
  52. >You’re back to square one, your only lead so far a filly who most likely can’t remember anything useful with your luck
  53. >You look at the filly as she sleeps soundly
  54. >Her long mane is fixed in a ponytail and she’s yet to have her wings grown on her
  55. >Why on Equestria would this filly know you? You don’t really get along with children, nor do you care to
  56. >And no way could you loose so many memories from an Amnesia Blossom that she could be yours in any way
  57. >Unless you got really drunk and adopted one while being drunk off your ass...
  58. >You decide to look around the house a bit more instead of thinking any further
  59. >And this house, it’s in too good of a condition to be abandoned, where the hell is the owner?
  60. >You hop off of the chair you were sitting and pace back and forth while thinking
  61. >Maybe you should just leave this filly here and go search for a village or a town, she most likely won’t be of any use once she wakes up
  62. >No, that would not be nice... but why should you get sidetracked by her? But she did seem to know you...
  63. >You stop pacing
  64. >But you just can’t sit here and just waste time. Ugh, if only you had a drink...
  65. >You walk over to the small kitchen area of the house and open a few cupboards
  66. >pots & pans, plates and glasses, flours and sugar...
  67. >you open the last one and only find paper, pencils and other mundane things behind it
  68. >well, you did not find anything to make this situation tolerable, but now you have a way you can go and explore
  69. >You’ll leave a note to the filly, that way she’ll stay put if she wakes up while you’re looking for any clues where you are and why
  70. >You scribble a little note and then place it on the filly’s forehead with some tape
  71. >”You lost your memory. Don’t go anywhere”
  72. >Satisfied with the note you turn around and walk to the door
  73. >But as you open it you pause
  74. >...she’ll most likely be scared, waking up somewhere without any memory how she got there
  75. >and there’s no guarantee she’ll actually stay put once she does
  76. >You think about tying her hooves up so she can’t run off, but then you groan and slam the door shut and walk back to the filly
  77. >You rip the note off of her sleeping face and then sit back down
  78. >And then you just stare at her and wait
  79. >and wait more...
  80. >and more...
  81. >You get up and walk to the fridge
  82. >it’s mostly empty, but you do find some milk that still smells fine
  83. >Let’s see, you also saw some honey in one of the cupboards, there
  84. >You heat up the milk on a small kettle by the fireplace you lit up so it’s warm and mix a hefty heap of honey into it
  85. >Not the best, but it’ll do
  86. >As you sip the drink you glance outside, and to your surprise it’s getting rather dark already
  87. >Well, seems like you’re staying the night here then
  88. >You put on a few lights and think about returning to your search for alcohol but then the filly starts to mumble in her sleep
  89. >You turn your attention to her as she sits up on the bed and looks around
  90. “Wha...Mommy?”
  91. >The filly rubs her eyes and looks around again, looking much more awake now, and then she notices you and looks panicked
  92. >She quickly hides behind the blanket you threw on her when you set her on the couch
  93. “Aaah!”
  94. >You just stare at her as she peeks at you cautiously from within the blanket
  95. “W-who’re you? Where am I?”
  96. >”I’m Snow. You’re at some house somewhere”
  97. >A little bit more of her head appears from within her blanket shield
  98. “A-am I kidnapped?”
  99. >You give the filly an unimpressed look
  100. >”Listen kid, you’re here because of your own stupidity”
  101. >The filly’s expression becomes sad and she retracts some of her head behind the blanket
  102. “O-ok...”
  103. >”You know what an Amnesia blossom is?”
  104. >Now the filly’s whole head peeks from behind the blanket
  105. “Isn’t that a magical flower that makes you forget things?”
  106. >You raise an eyebrow, but at lest you don’t have to explain that to her
  107. >”Yeah. You ran into one”
  108. >The filly tilts her head a little
  109. “I did?”
  110. >”Yeah, but this is important. Do you know me or remember me?”
  111. >The filly shakes her head
  112. “No... do you...know me?”
  113. >You sigh and slump against the chair
  114. >”Can’t remember, but you did act like you knew me”
  115. >The filly tilts her head again in confusion
  116. >”I ran into an Amnesia blossom as well”
  117. “Oh...”
  118. >”What’s the last thing you can remember?”
  119. >The filly looks up at the ceiling for a while as she thinks before answering you
  120. “I was with my mommy and daddy, at my birthday...”
  121. >The filly looks back at you now
  122. “Are my mommy and daddy here?”
  123. >You shake your head
  124. “Oh...”
  125. >The filly’s ears and antennae droop as she looks a bit sad now
  126. >You rub your forehead with your hoof
  127. >”Listen, we must be near your home village or town, so tomorrow we’ll go there and you’ll find your parents there”
  128. >Whatever to keep her from weeping for the whole night
  129. >The filly gives a little nod but till remains sad
  130. >”What’s your name anyway kid?”
  131. >The filly lies down on the couch while looking depressed
  132. “Honey Mug”
  133. >You nod but the filly is too busy being sad to notice so you just walk over to the kitchen
  134. >You have on place you haven’t looked and-
  135. >You can’t help but to grin, jackpot
  136. >A bottle of booze, half full
  137. >You open it up, but then you pause and glance at Honey Mug and sigh with irritation
  138. >...you close the bottle and put it back
  139. >”If you’re hungry there’s some milk with honey in the pot by the fire”
  140. >You walk by her and grab one of the couch cushions and set it on the floor
  141. >”It’s late, I’m going to sleep. Tomorrow morning we’ll look around if you can tell where we are. Don’t wander off.”
  142. >You lie down on the floor and close your eyes as exhaustion washes over you
  143. >you didn’t realize you were this tired
  144. >As you feel your consciousness slip you can hear a few quiet sobs...
