Being a minion of Bowser's is not the most enjoyable role. I mean, let's face it: Mario is unstoppable. Bowser can throw infinite enemies in his path, but Mario will just stomp on us, hit us with a hammer, or throw fireballs at us. I feel like we are just Mario's punching bags. He practices by beating us up and then moves onto the boss of that particular stage. With each passing world, he becomes a stronger fighter. Bowser is just a buffoon who can never be successful. Not [i]once[/i]. That's just my honest opinion. Go ahead and tell him if you want. He rages to all of his minions whenever he fails, so I am used to his tantrums.
 [p]Today, I'm assigned to a jungle world. Unfortunately, I'm teamed up with the weak and pathetic Goombas. I mean, just look at them. They look like a couple of walking potatoes! All Mario has to do is accidently step on one and it's a goner. Maybe this is why I'm teamed up with the Goombas. Bowser needs some tough guys to go against Mario when the goombas fail, so it might as well be the gruesome Piranha Plants!
[p]Us Piranha Plants have two tactics when it comes to fighting. Some of us like to stay hidden in the ground and then sprout up once Mario approaches and attack him. Heck, some like to tease with him and continuously disappear into the ground and pop out in a new location, kind of like Whack-a-Mole. The second tactic would be to find a warp pipe to hide in and then pop out and attack Mario as he is crossing one. Since not every warp pipe has a Piranha Plant hiding in it, Mario does not expect when it will hold an enemy. I picked one of those bad boys this time.
[p]Just ahead, I hear the squeals of Goombas being beaten, so I get ready. Mario's feet clatter against the ground as he gets closer and I get ready to lunge. As he jumps onto the warp pipe, I extend my stemmed-body, open my mouth, and bite down onto Mario. A clean hit! Large letters appear: GAME OVER. Yes, I did it! Bowser will be so proud of me...
[p]...until Mario respawns and destroys me next time. NOT COOL.
