  1. Draebet Empire Fluff
  2. The Draebet empire is a 'naval' based civilization populated by amphibious 'fish' people. Located on a plane that is mostly water, the system it inhabits is primarily filled with gas giants. It primarily inhabits the fourth gas giant from the sun, lovingly known as Ophilla. Though the planet itself is not exactly friendly to life, materials have been found that allow floating ports to inhabit the upper atmospheres, the tops of which push into the Solar Sea above. These cities also serve as ports for a special submersible used to do many things, from hunting the wildlife of the Sea, to making short ventures to the airless husks that are the first two planets, as well as several moons nearby.

  4. The Empire primarily looks for minerals they call 'The Six Primes', four of which make life far more easy, if not out right possible, and two of which hold mysterious properties. Thankfully, or possibly unfortunately, one of the Primes comes in the form of a 'infestation' from what is believed to be a different realm. This mineral grows in both isolated clumps, as well as infects various life forms, slowly changing the body into more of it, but also driving the creature to infest more like it. Regular culls and inspection of crops and food have to be taken in order to keep the material at bay, despite it's useful properties when processed.
  5.
  6. Their primary fleet, known as the Home Guard, keep watch in the waters around Ophilla, making sure both to prevent natural disasters as best as they can, but also to keep the near by waters as clean of the infestation as they can. The troops are both competent in underwater fighting, but also in more general 'void combat', as far as it pertains to their plane.

  8. Special Minerals:
  9. (Atmosphere generator) Catalyt Crystals - Much like plants they absorb energy and turn carbon dioxide into oxygen and carbon. It reacts with other gasses more rarely but it does happen. Used on ships to maintain air cleanliness.
  10. (Antigrav) Grav Crystals - A strange crystals that immediately turn energy into motion. Even force will do it and are commonly found in floating islands around the gas giants.
  11. (Strong Metal) Adamantine - A tough metal to work it is a difficult metal to damage, dent, or corrode.
  12. (Tiberium Proxy) The Cursed - A crystalline material that spreads and devours other materials. It mutates life to help spread it before they die and become Cursed as well. The properties of the material are known to have changed over time and scientists believe that they may change based on the materials it absorbs. Highly virulent. Your people use magic to deal with it. When processed it turns into a solution that can be used as a very potent fuel source that releases magical energy and direct electrical energy.
  13. (Magic Enhancer) Luster Oil - A prismatic liquid found on the barren rocky worlds and theoretically the others if you can reach it. When it comes into contact with magic it will immediately react and enhance the magic at the cost of burning itself up.
  14. (Bolt Crystal) Energy Crystals - A strange crystal that looses a bolt of energy from the points of the crystal when provided with enough energy. The type of energy loosed depends on the energy provided, such as magic providing a magic bolt and electricity providing a bolt of pure directed force. Impurities in the crystal seem to also have an affect on the bolt.
