- A single look around is given. As far as he's concerned, though, there seems to be not much of a presence of leadership that he was looking for - or rather, the people that he's convinced to be pushing for war.
- His gaze, instead, turns towards Malia.
- "Where's Romani? And-"
- A glance is given over to Walter. It seems that it's one less person he'd be looking for.
- "Nevermind. Walter is right there."
- (Basil)
- Eliza was just chaining along, holding on to the cloth of Basil and just swinging around with him.
- Osrona did look nice, too nice, but... the grass, the flowers, the weeds and the trees?
- Gone.
- Hm.
- (Eliz)
- Walter turns on his heel, jade stare now piercing past the length of the square and over to the rhoynish. "Hi. Need me for anything?"
- (Walter Docro)
- Yuri walked around the sit right behind Eliz, following her like some sort of lost pup. While the place was grand and great there was something... off about it. He whispered to the girl.
- "Why is there only grass here?"
- (Yuri)
- Basil's appearance is noted with a slight bit of curiosity, wondering if this was the long awaited visit. She makes to answer his questions quickly enough.
- "The Stellus is indisposed currently. Church matters or somethin'. Walt's there, obvious, as am I, given I stand now with equal authority."
- She moves to take position beside the tall Kitsune as she speaks, hefting an eyebrow once she reaches him and turns back to Basil.
- "Whats up?"
- (Malia Arsali)
- Walter Docro says, "What she said, yeah."
- Walter Docro assumes the Inferno Blade stance!
- There are a lot of things that could be said about this.
- Although, truthfully, what seems to leave him somewhat questioning in this matter is what exactly the two of them were thinking about it, or what they had on their minds about it all. But to digress..
- "The war on Nysea."
- "Heard about Yersin's death a while ago. I figured that it'd look suspicious to you all, considering that Nysea has no benefit of announcing itself as perpetrator, especially when they're not ready for such confrontation, but.."
- "I heard it's not about that either."
- A pause, to which he adds.
- "So I wanted to ask."
- "What is it about?"
- (Basil)
- The child keeps an attentive ear, figuring out how to do these political things Basil's own special way. She never left the side of the King, however.
- (Eliz)
- Walter Docro assumes the Inferno Blade stance!
- There's a lengthy, almost wholly lackadaisical pause from the commander in turn. Viridian crosshairs narrowly flicker upon mention of the late Yersin before they briefly avert the Alabastran Harbinger's focus. For the reminder of his inquiry's extension they'd remain lost, lacking focus in his silhouette, only for them to return in a naturally aloof effuse.
- "Their lack of compliance in denouncing the monarchy." Barely more than a mutter, as if no grand importance was being cast on the subject. "As well as a disinterest in paying reparations for their repeated sponsored offenses, even in wake of formal banning of their presence upon Nuosronan land. Our patience has dimmed, that's merely it.
- We're reabsorbing their remnants."
- (Walter Docro)
- Romani arrives in the square, after tending to matters, with his lunch and begins eating.
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- She tilted her head in Walter's direction.
- "Walt's hit the nail, but also because so long as the monarchy exists in the region, its likely to try and take tha city back. A war now to prevent a worse one in ten years, yeah?"
- Her limited contribution, at the moment.
- (Malia Arsali)
- A simple blink, she didn't know much about it all, but it does sound like it's something that bad people would do.
- "But they don't want a war in ten years, it just sounds like you're being big meanies for no reason!"
- A tsk.
- (Eliz)
- "Ah."
- That's something to be expected. Had it been the case that they wish to depose monarch for the sake of deposing it, then perhaps he would be getting a lot of questions out of it all as well..
- Even if he bears the title for sake of leadership representation.
- "Two sides of the same coin. Figures the reasons would be different, yet same at the same time."
- But what is the issue here, really? For as far as he's concerned, their concern over monarchy potentially striking back is one that is justified completely- something that he did not even seem to speak on much but merely give a nod of acknowledgement.
- "Understandable."
- "Though I suppose you've talked to Alexander about it before already, haven't you? I believe he's under impression that none of you intend to speak on the matter on resolving it with non-violent means."
- "And perceptions can ruin a lotof things before they even begin."
- A single pause; he doesn't rush on ahead to really suggest or say anything directly, because Basil knows one thing better..
- Before making a statement, it's best to assess the situation carefully; yet, his gaze turns back towards Eliz for a bit.
- "They're concerned over protection of their livelihood."
- "It's fair to be concerned about that. Before you make judgment, it's best to understand both sides - unless you want someone to just refuse to listen to you."
- (Basil)
- Yuri whispers something.
- It had taken a few moments for him to begin to listen to the conversation, to hear what it was about before his eyes squint. An exhale breathes past his lips, shaking his head, before rising from the bench.
- "50 thousand crowns,
- the identity and life of Yersin's killer,
- the end of Slander against Osrona,
- the end of violence against Osronan citizens,
- Members of the Western Celestial Church to merge back under the Eastern Celestial Church and accept the Eastern Church's values,
- An official apology from the ruling party of Nysea for the assault on the Baleford Bridge,
- And the surrender of Alexander Petrakis for trial and sentencing at the hands of the Coalition, to take place upon Starfall tower."
- "These were the terms for peace. We have bee in discussion with Nysea over these reparations. They said they were unwilling to fulfill Reparation seven. I said that all need to be fulfilled enable to fully have peace."
- "They already attacked us once on the bridge. Their people have attacked us through Del, and most recently Misha and Makenna were attacked while guarding the bridge again. They have been making violent advances for a long time, and have paid for NONE of it."
- The Stellus would state, rising form the bench with arms behind his back, shaking his head.
- "If they want peace, they must meet the reparations. That is all there is to it. And I told them they had until the end of the Election. They did not accept. If you wish, I could retrieve their latest letter."
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- Yuri spoke down low to Eliz amidst this more politically-charged debate before them. His words are noticable as tension does rise, however, despite being mere whispers.
- "I thought King Alexander was a good guy trying to take back the city that was taken from him... Is there something we don't know, 'Liz? A-Are we trying to help the villains?"
- The worry on his face grows as he looks around in an attempt to find an answer. He finds none.
- (Yuri)
- Basil says, "Politics are complicated, Yuri."
- Basil says, "Very, very complicated. It's rare there's any true, defined evil."
- Their eyes focused upon Yuri for just a brief moment, only to speak a little louder at the notion. It was true, they were defending their own right of passage and how to live, but at the same time, it wasn't about that.
- "It's not that it's 'evil', it's just that they are not afraid to beat up kids to get to someone, and even harm others who want to defend their home. It's bullying, to an extreme..."
- She simply looks over towards Basil for a moment.
- "No one here is a Villan, and no one is evil or bad, but different sides not agreeing to something, and it makes me sad."
- (Eliz)
- Yuri says, "But... It's-"
- Yuri asks, ".. is there even a way out?"
- Eliz asks, "...what do you mean, Yuri?"
- Yuri exclaims, "Out of this fight!"
- Yuri says, "Usually you can just run away, but..."
- Yuri says, "A city can't run."
- Yuri says, "Buildings don't have legs."
- Eliz blinks.
- (Eliz)
- Romani cos Montclaire says, "Two ways. People can evacuate the city. Alexander can agree to be tried, not by Osrona, but instead by all nations of the Coalition, three members of each all attending on trial at Starfall."
- Kaalthar returns from his stint at the end of the bridge, settling down upon one of the benches. Seems there was something amiss, however, so he'd pay close attention to the conversation as best he could.
- (Kaalthar)
- The young woman nodded to Romani.
- "Frankly, I could care less about half those demands. One isn't relevant -Yersin wasn't killed by a Nysean, as Walter discovered- but also I really don't care about the Western church. Let 'em have their religion. Honestly? I'd be happy if they gave up claims on Osrona, paid a bit'a coin for the rebuildin' and deposed the King ta be tried by the Coalition, given he's a war criminal."
- Granted, some of their number surely classified too, but they were the winning side, in the end. History was written by the victors, after all.
- "All'a this blood and death from the war belongs to two people; Asta Hargrave and Alexander Petrakis. Asta's dead. Alexander needs ta be held accountable."
- (Malia Arsali)
- Walter rolls his eyes briefly. "Basil - they've been averting my attempts to reach a cease fire for the better part of five years. It's hardly like that, we're not animals."
- (Walter Docro)
- There seems to be a misunderstood intent by Walter..
- For while he speaks of not being animals, the Rhoynish King only shakes his head to it.
- "I accused nobody, Walter. I do not intend to judge either."
- "Behind me are children. Wide-eyed, innocent... perhaps, a little hopeful and naive, but they mean well. They want to be the light of tomorrow, and they want people to come to peaceful terms."
- "The path ahead of them is a difficult one. I chose to show them why right now."
- Is it merely a test for the two children that stand by the Rhoynish King, then? A showcase, about just how complicated the world is, about how difficult it is to achieve agreement between two sides that have problems with one another?
- Even when you can speak to people directly?
- "Though.."
- "I doubt that they would give up Alexander, ever. There is power behind his name - and it isn't due to him being Petrakis." A pause, to which he elaborates.
- "Even I loathed Petrakis bloodline. Pelleaux, Grimmore and Astor bloodlines too, for that matter.."
- "The Pealleaux butchered my ancestors. Grimmore enslaved them. And Astor almost personally killed my wife."
- Whatever the notion that Basil is making here, to think that he's merely talking about the war itself is to be foolish- and surprisingly, there's hardly emotion involved when he speaks of this. Almost as if..
- It was a cold realization of truth.
- "The cycle of hatred as you know it won't end with the death of Alexander. Nor it will with destruction of Nysea."
- "So long as there's power behind a certain name, it cannot be killed." A glance given to Walter, first.
- "He knows it, because there's power behind the name of struggle." Another glance towards Malia. "She knows it, because there's power behind duty to Njorun and our people." And the last, to Montclaire..
- "And you know it, because even as Teraphim ran rampant through your city, you refused to let the city of your parents and grandparents to fall apart without leadership."
- The agenda that Basil holds here may be misunderstood - heavily so. In fact, it likely would be, for he doesn't expect them to understand.
- Not now. Not even later. But.. when he gives a single glance to the children behind him?
- There's always hope they just might.
- Maybe today is a different day.
- "Alexander said he's willing to abandon many things to stop people from dying in this endless cycle of hatred."
- "Are you?"
- (Basil)
- Eliza can understand why it would be so difficult to make the world a hopeful one, especially when everyone couldn't agree to one similar thing. Thankfuully, she wasn't being thrown into the fray, but given snipets and help for the satisfaction of learning.
- Yet, it was this little hint of reality that made her not cower away, but actually get closer to the situation at hand. As Basil spoke the words of truth, she would only listen and nod when she could truly wrap her head around it. In her perspective, it all came down to history.
- People are born to change regardless fo the situation, the person of yesterday is not the person of now. People do things that they need to be reprimanded for, but nothing that is so serious as to go the extra distance as killing.
- Of all the things that she would do, killing was never the answer to it. Killing was the ultimate thing that she would have to be physically forced to do with a guiding hand to do if she had to do it. Perhaps that is why she didn't have the courage.
- But in the face of the adults, she was wide eyed and learning, wanting to get the experience, but when Basil said those words at the end, she questioned herself:
- What would she do to stop this cycle of hatred, and would she go into the abyss just a little to stop it?
- The dainty, little fingers of the child grip firmly to the cloak of Basil even further, but her voice was loud;
- "I'd put my own body at risk if it means that people can stop hating one another; I hate fighting, but I will do what I can to protect the people I call friend and family."
- "Even those not related by name, are my family, and I would do anything for them."
- Pure of heart, and her head was in the right place.
- (Eliz)
- Well, she wasn't exactly a Njorun-ite, but there was no need to bring up differing clan beliefs. Instead, she moves for a direct answer.
- "Three years ago, I reckon I'd'a said blood was the only way. I ain't no fan of the Petrakis or the whole Royalist group, given they enslaved our people, including my grandmother. When it comes down ta it, though? I don't want more people bleeding unless its a certain end. They fled ta' one village, and no-one in the Coalition seemed bothered with makin' sure they didn't get back up, brush themselves off, and return ta war."
- "I'm willing ta give up vengeance on tha whole city, and its people, but I can't do it for nothing. Alexander is tried by the Coalition. He steps down in favour'a someone else. Nysea respects that Osrona is a separate city with its own people, not some prize ta be reclaimed. That's my price, I reckon. My fellows may disagree, but that's it."
- (Malia Arsali)
- The Stellus side eyed the Elected.
- "Yersin's death is a detriment. There is not a better way to help soothe relations with a hostile nation then to be mutually working towards the same goal. It is not just about Yersin being dead, it is about smoothing relationships after peace is made."
- "The same with the unification of the Churches. Del was often on about 'false gods' and about looking down upon people. We need Faith willing to build people up, and that will not happen with two faiths at each others throats."
- "You may not see these things as progress, but every reparation on that list had a reason behind it, Malia."
- His words are spoken with bitterness in them, towards her tone at him. Fists ever ball towards his sides before turning to look back towards Basil.
- "Alexander can willingly come in, or it would be a war to make him come in. There are people who support the Royals, and people who wantnothing more then to see him killed and torn down. By trial, we can make it so that he is fairly judged. Not by any single place's judgement but by the coalition as a whole."
- He grit his teeth, shaking his head while looking towards the Rhoynish king.
- "That is the difference between Alexander, and at least me. He is all too willing to abandon, to discard, use things, use people, and then leave them behind."
- "I do not discard. I prevent death with work forwards. I use my words, and my wit from my experiences. And if push comes to shove, peace can be had through war."
- "If they accept the reparations, there is peace. If not, there is no peace until people are willing to follow the peaceful way."
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- So that's what it felt like to stand behind a King when he spoke. His green eyes went wide as each and every word that came out from Basil's lips were more and more convincing. Why was there a need for war when all it would do was bring more war? The Rhoynish before him defied it plainly, and made Yuri fall a bit more in adoration with the man. It's no wonder Eliza thought of his as a father: He was a great guy.
- For so long as someone believed in the power that Alexander and his family held there would be struggle. Yuri... understood what it meant. He could see it. He may have been a coward but if anything were to threaten his friends he wouldn't hesitate to stand up for them.
- Aeliana was part of that friendship circle now, too, leaving him as one of the people who would stand if something happened to the Petrakis in the long term of things.
- It was light had shone down upon the entire world at once. Yuri could see it clearly now despite the fact it wasn't there: The Kingly cape fluttering in the wind behind Basil and the crown on his head. In spirit alone he was a leader.
- Eliz's own dedication brought Yuri to finally step forward, to stand by his friend rather than behind her.
- "I.. I'm not really strong, or any kind of hero, but I have friends who have done nothing wrong and they'd be hurt by something they've never had control on. I-I don't think that's right.
- .. Even more because King Alexander said he didn't even want Osrona back anymore..!"
- A bit of determination from a budding young soul.
- (Yuri)
- The power of symbols?
- Was that the strength Basil was appealing to one of influence and values? One of imagery and social zeitgeist warfare?
- "So?" He's impossibly languid this time around as well, even in wake of further questioning of the self. "If what the High Lord of Myllenoris has reported onto me is correct, the royal agenda has been disowned by the very same angel that gave them divine right to begin with."
- Petrakis.
- Their grip on the spectrum was not commendable, but obsessive.
- "The fact that they have not bowed their head at all in wake of their recklessness, and continue to sponsor assaults at our expense by not addressing or owning up to their monolithic hierarchical responsibilities speaks all but healthily of them.
- He is not willing to give away the slightest ounce of his pride. Every pawn and minor figure will be scapegoated and hauled in the way before he acts like a king.
- There's more than enough evidence of the fact, Basil.
- It's not about the lineage, it's not about divine right no longer. Future generations will have to remedy their misdeeds - yet that does not change or excuse his current state of indolence."
- His gaze squints slightly, making open judgement of his pancea statement. Tension spirals upwards.
- "I had thought you better, Basil. Figured you for far more than a pansy. Guess I was wrong." Walter displays clear vulnerability upon being spoken back to. "If they refuse to bow in humility as we have, then they'll have to kneel in compliance."
- (Walter Docro)
- Eliz says, "My dad isn't a pansy..."
- "The matters of the church seem a lot more personal to me. People would always choose to believe what they want to believe in, regardless.."
- "But the end of hostilities between each would be good." Although he doesn't comment on it, he realizes that the death of Del may have just made the tensions much lighter. After all, with how zealous the woman was, he doubts that she would ever settle for anything at all.
- "As for Alexander.."
- "I believe he was willing to relinquish the attempts to have Osrona a while ago by now. At this point, all he wants is to keep his people safe within Nysea."
- "And the reason they'd want him around is because they have nobody else to look up to." A pause, to which he adds. "Times have changed. So did he."
- "But I don't intend to have you make any sort of decision here and now. This is food for thought, and perhaps you'll want to look intoother alternatives."
- "Ones that will not condemn this country into eternal cycle of hatred, where past actions are used as means to start new wars."
- It is both a remark to Montclaire and Walter; for while he understands their plight with Alexander, it is rather evident that Alexander was, perhaps, willing to budge after all. Though..
- His gaze turns to Walter, of all people.
- "I recognize that look."
- The careful assessment by the Rhoynish King follows. The insult does nothing to the dignity and pride of Basil, and it is discarded all the same. Instead, he speaks on something else.
- "You had to claw your way up, Walter. You had to fight through countless things, do questionable decisions.." A reference to the Family once trying to sell a person to the witch, perhaps? Or something else? ".. but all to survive and make sure that the loved ones at your side make it through."
- "That your heart aches for your loss, that anger boils in your veins, even if you don't show it. You talked about making it, about all of you standing on the top, but.." Not everybody made it. Not everybody is still by his side.
- "It hurts, doesn't it?"
- To see people around you fall apart, or become something else entirely.. or simply die. Perhaps the man before the Rhoynish King doesn't realize it yet, but..
- "We're one and the same in this, Walter."
- "And the paths I once walked are available to you as well. Although they may diverge.. I know what you're going through."
- "But do know this--"
- It is here that he makes a pause, to which he promptly adds.
- "It hurts the most when you realize you forgot everything you once wanted to be."
- (Basil)
- "They aren't going to hand Alexander over, and you all know it." Ophelia commented, out of the blue. Perhaps more willing to speak on matters after her small run-in with Sethon. "They're willing to do everything else but that."
- She paused, turning to look at the trio quietly in a squinted gaze.
- "Don't be like Serea was with Theria, and request things that you know are impossible. That screams that all you desire is war. Everything else I had managed to get Bastiel to agree to, and the one thing he refused to agree with was something I didn't blame him for."
- "Kneeling to Theria. Telling them you want to put Alexander on trial is the same point. Don't be stupid. If you truly don't want war, prevent it. But if you want it, don't be stupid and act like you don't."
- (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
- Basil says, "Whether you can live without Alexander being six feet under is another question, but.."
- A hand rises, and rather quickly juts out, motioning towards Basil as Romani's gaze looked towards Malia.
- "Basil gets it. The Church needs to end hostilities. A Stellus needs to be elected that unifies Celestialism. That Stellus can not be one who spreads words of violence upon our citizens like Del did." There was a squint of his eyes, before nodding towards Basil.
- "After the trial? I do not care if he goes back. But he must be tried. He must face the consequences for his actions. The fall of his city, the death of his cousin, my wife's poisoning, and his appearance on the Baleford bridge and fight there."
- "Because they, right now, refuse to let him pay for any of these things and instead applaud him as innocent. They insist so." His voice is almost a low hiss of aggravation, before shaking his head.
- "But regardless of all else? He must be tried. And if they are not willing to let it happen, then it must be brought to happen." His eyes then glanced towards his wife, shaking his head.
- "He has to be tried for the things that he has done, by the Coalition. It is a must, it is essential, for without that the cycle will continue. The trial allows for it to come to an end, no matter what is ultimately ruled."
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- Basil says, "He is already willing to relinquish claim on Osrona, and cease hostilities."
- The Triumvir looks to Romani. She can hear the bitterness, and not intending to engender such feelings moves to clarify. She gestures at Basil.
- "He's right about faith, y'know. Ya can't force sometime ta believe something else, that's how divides like the current one happen. Coexistence is possible between religions; even now, with their Stellus gone I ain't heard nothing 'bout seeing us as demons, yeah? Ain't tryin' ta tell ya your ideas are worthless or nothin', and if the churchs mend that's great, but when it comes to what I'm willing ta sacrifice for peace, most of those reparations ain't do or die, ta me. And ya ain't gonna force reunification."
- Her attention shifts then to Basil himself.
- "I get wanting ta keep ya people safe. Thing is, there is a way to keep his people safe, one we've made abundantly clear -realise that he needs ta take accountability. The previous war was to hold him accountable, and so will the next, if he doesn't come ta terms. And his refusal to submit to being held accountable is exactly the reason I believe that in the end this war will happen. I don't even care if he's alive or not at the end of it. If we have to concede to execution not being on tha table, that's fine, long as he's not King I don't care if he's still breathing."
- (Malia Arsali)
- Though there's no immediate response once the much more personal disposition of Basil's discourse perks up, Walter does visibly sulk on the prospect. In his natural choleric fashion, the full width of the kitsune's jaw tightens up over it's hinge. Eyes are woven shut in tense pensiveness, as he vows to bare the angst and dread of his own mutation.
- He was right, painfully so.
- His heel pivots as the turning point, with the commander now facing southwards altogether.
- Walter mutters in a strained chant of his intent.
- "If he were, he'd be actively punishing his forces for messing with our folk." There was no true reason that indicated why Nysea was allowed to have an army to begin with, even if he had pushed for the order's dismissal during the coalition meetings. It was only natural that they'd resume aggression the second they believed themselves to be capable of damage.
- "He'd also be paying reparations. Our demand should bare no less weight than theirs, we too had to rebuild our lives from the ground up in the aftermath of war."
- A face hidden from view, as none face him head on. He seems eager to make his leave.
- "To top it off, not only are they routinely expanding - but doing so in wider flare than us.
- It is only fair that they compromise economically in wake of their offences."
- A single step is carried southwards. His resolve, clearly having faltered from obsessive violent intent.
- "That's all I have to say - if you wish not for war to transpire, remind them of our compromise again.
- A definitive cease fire on Osronan forces. Fifty-thousand crowns." An interval.
- "We'll accept a payment plan, if need be.
- We need proof that they're to be trusted.
- Final chance."
- (Walter Docro)
- There are times in which he knew that certain compromise has to be made for the greater good.
- And it is obvious that the past cannot be easily forgiven. In truth, he doesn't even try to make them simply forget it.. because the past is riddled with things that could not be forgotten at all, nor forgiven.
- And the Rhoynish King understands that. He truly does.
- It took years for his own anger to subside; for his own rage against Osrona and many other to begin to dwindle. The man that once pursued violent means in life, the man that fought with fervor like no other, with the golden-eyed frenzy..
- Now wiser after the years.
- "I doubt that they're against reparations."
- "I doubt that they're against any cooperation in finding Yersin's killer, even if they had nothing to do with it.. and I doubt that they're against resolving matters of the church."
- "What they would be unable to do is to allow Alexander to be killed - even if he undergoes the trial, they would definitely be against the possibility of his death."
- "They will have nobody else otherwise." A single glance is given towards Ophelia..
- She understood that well. She understood the point that Basil is trying to make- that they could already relinquish the claim to Osrona and even help rebuild it. But..
- "I'm sure it's not difficult to understand why they haven't paid yet."
- "They're uncertain. Afraid. Anxious."
- "They have no guarantees or assurance that they would not be attacked and slaughtered. They have no means to know their future if they take this route."
- "A living being is always apprehensive of what's to come, no matter what side they take, no matter what they define themselves as."
- It's simple as that. Although, when his gaze trails to Walter, he knows of the pains that he experiences- of the killing of Yersin, the man that has gone too soon. Before the commander can leave, the Rhoynish King speaks out.
- "--Walter."
- "Do not misdirect your vengeance." A brief pause, to which he adds.
- "I was haunted in my own nightmares by a witch. I was spoken to about many revelations that you'd like to hear - revelations that are likely related to your family, too."
- "As they are related to mine." The story of Basil killing Tiernay is unlikely to have not reached this place. Though..
- "We will speak later."
- "We share common enemy - and we can end them together."
- (Basil)
- Romani's gaze would narrow towards Malia at her words, his mouth curling into a frown before turning to the south and seeing Walter begin to walk away. Hands continued to hang behind his back, taking in a breath.
- "If you do not push point seven, Walter? Then I will not. I do believe that was the one /you/."
- With that? His teeth grit, staring for a few moments towards Ophelia. A deep breath was taken, aggravation in the air still before turning.
- "Reparation one through six they were willing to agree upon. If they are still willing to meet the rest of those reparations, and Walter sees no desire to push point seven, then I am willing to approve peace. I believe that would be at least two thirds of the triumvirate."
- "If Walter does not want him tried, I will no longer care for it. I will let such feelings leave and focus on what I see was more important matters."
- His tone is venomous, and rather quickly? The Stellus would begin walking towards the east, shaking his head.
- "They agreed to points one through six in a prior letter. Double check it with them, and again, I am fine with the rest." He simply says, waving off the rest of everything.
- (Romani cos Montclaire)
- First, a brief word towards Basil.
- "I'll vote according ta my own judgement, but I'd be a lot more likely to be satisfied is Alexander could publically acknowledge that the recent conflicts were his mistake. Quite a few Osronans are angry at Nysea, we'll need some significant response to justify backing down."
- When it came to Romani, a frown given is one returned, the Elected Triumvir annoyed that so quickly they seemed to have set against themselves. A sensitive topic, surely. His words are something of a surprise, but she didn't challenge them. As the man made to move off, however, she spoke direct.
- "Stellus, hold a moment, please."
- All three Triumvirs were currently pleasant. She'd prefer they get back on the same page, and one of them walking off was hardly going to achieve that.
- "You too, Walt. I'd rather us convene given all our current presence. Get on the same page, yeah?"
- (Malia Arsali)
- The cycle of hatred is one that had to end.
- If anything, at least until the witch threat could be removed and their own plights dealt with- but while he understands the reason that they speak of this, he's more than sure that Alexander would never be given into the clutches of death.
- "As I said.."
- "I doubt that they would mind this publicity, or even trial, so long as they're sure that he isn't going to be killed for it - simply due to fact that they're unable to be without him."
- At least, for now. With all the other words said, however, this was a more realistic, direct statement - one that he's sure that others realized as well.
- "I'm glad you heard this out."
- "Perhaps, it would become a new page for the livelihood of Esshar as a whole." And unless there was much else to be said, the Rhoynish King turned to take his leave..
- Seeing that the rest were leaving too.
- "Be well."

- The quintessential anti royalist cornerstone yields in his fury, though not before a bizarre outburst of his temperament takes place in plain light of the day. It's about as bizarre and animalistic as his earlier iterations, when the bull terrier still roamed the land in pursuit of vengeance and retribution. The cathartic outburst is initiated by a piercing wail, in which Walter rids himself from years worth of built up tension, straining his larynx to the limit in it.
- A roar, a groan, disconformity leaving his body.
- "GHHHWAAAAAAAAAGH!"
- The brutish length of the kingpin turned triumvir connects against the flowerless square, leaving no more than a dent in the ground, yet projecting an orange beacon baring the length of a tower, projecting upwards, clearing a full circle of clouds that loomed above Osrona from desperation alone.
- He does not regard his equals just yet.
- Were they anything if at his adolescent fury's disposal as of recent events?
- Even his fueling ire would yield, coming to terms with it eventually. For once, it was not weakness, but maturity. Yet even such is hard to gripe with, even if possible. Every muscle in his face curls and tenses into an abrasive frown to no avail.
- "... The coven killed my brother." He echoes, having received confirmation from Pericles and subsequent interactions with his underlings.
- "Asta. Her wraith put an end to his life. Another figure of numbing power and egomaniac properties, no different than the ideals we'd clashed with prior. A meager death. No different from our Rhoynish brother, Demius."
- Meditatively, and as his knelt position straightens once more, Walter's jades avert the floor, instead chasing the cloudless halo he himself had generated.
- Malia is the vague receptor of his following words, too.
- "I cannot divide my efforts anymore. I'm too selfish. I'll compromise, take a leap of faith.
- Until I have slain all three of them, I will not find rest and clarity."
- Even in his visible physical struggle, however? The kitsune is almost humbled in regards to their ally.
- "Basil..." There were things to discuss still. Yet this would be more than either party could handle for the time being. "... thank you."
- He understood.
- (Walter Docro)
- He knows of this rage.
- He knows of what it feels like; the same fury that he felt ever since encountering Henrietta within his own nightmares, ever since seeing what Tiernay has become. Because in the end, while the witch might've tried to get in his head and claim that he's the one who destroyed his own family..
- All he can see it as would be coven taking him away from the family.
- In many ways, it's true. Tiernay was never the same after interacting with Henrietta, and the more that they stuck to one another, the more he changed - to the point of being unable to see the world as anything else.
- But something to be destroyed.
- It's almost funny.. that he pursued the agenda of witches, as if he were a servant of Dark Lord, despite never being one. But he knows, that day? He killed not his brother, but the pale shadow of what he once was.
- In Walter's case?
- They killed him before his true prime.
- "Their reckoning will come, Walter."
- "Soon."
- It was merely a promise of what's to come.
- (Basil)
