  1. Ready to Move Forward Edition
  2.
  3. 'Sup, doods!
  4.
  5. This has been quite the past month for me. From getting an eviction notice, to looking for new places to live, to pushing the Tetris Attack tournament to its conclusion, to all of the forms that I had to sign to get into the place I am about to call my home, I have had to get a lot of ducks together in a row to get to where I am at now. I think I am about ready to move forward.
  6.
  7. Today, doods, I should be in the possession of the keys to my first ever owned house. I didn't think I would be ready to be in this position so soon, but home ownership will feel good in the end. It hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows, however. If you watch my YouTube members only video version of this update, I might go into greater detail over what has gone wrong throughout this process. I'd rather not reveal too much in this space. Let's just say that we are stumbling over the finish line due to a lack of cooperation.

  9. I'm also moving forward to Pokemon Puzzle League season, doods. I wasn't sure when I would be able to make the time to play it again this week, but I wanted to get it out of the way now and not when I will probably be busy moving things around this week. (I'll find some time for Tetris Attack this week, though.) I don't know if I got in the right frame of mind to play PPL on Saturday, but I did by the end of qualifying end up with the third ever recorded sub-hour Easy – S-Hard run, thanks to a 12 min V-Hard and a 20 min S-Hard. I should be good for the first seed in May 17th's Erika Open. I wonder if I'll be moved into the new place by then.

  11. By the way, doods, the power situation got a little fricky wicky this past week, explaining some of the on-stream issues. I lost power on Tuesday like a lot of my neighbors did when a highly windy storm came through. Fortunately, my power came back later that night, but it sure was a setback in getting things done. Friday night also gave me an extra worry when my power went out in the middle of my stream. Turns out that I got hit a power surge wicked enough to set a nearby power line on fire. I actually lost a surge protector and the use of an entire outlet as a result. I ended up out for six hours as a result. I really can't get out of this place fast enough.

  13. Now if you'll excuse me, doods, the timetable has officially started on moving things to the new place. I need to be able to look at my piles WITHOUT making my head spin.

  16. Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:
  17.
  18. Goal #1: record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. The scripts are done! I am now challenging myself to find time amidst my tournament duties to work on recording the gameplay. I would then need voice-over on top of that. I plan to start this once I am fully settled in the new place and have some time away from work.
  19. Goal #2: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts. The home situation keeps pushing this date further and further back.
  20. Goal #3: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process, though I'm not currently motivated to stream any other part of it at the moment. Next major objective is to make alerts. I have stream reaction clips to put in. Emotes, one or two alternate overlay themes, and alternate timer themes would come soon after. As soon as I think of things to put in, I will add them to the list. I added a list in a dedicated channel in my Discord server. If you have any time to kill and want to contribute, check it out.
  21. Goal #4: catch up on video archives that I have yet to upload since I restarted streaming. I may put them on a separate channel.
  22. Goal #5: edit personal best videos in Tetris Attack Easy – V-Hard (post commentary recorded) and Normal (post commentary recorded)—and everything I did in Pokemon Puzzle Week—and that S-Hard PB—and that V-Hard WR—and that Easy – S-Hard WR—and that TA Easy PB—and another Easy – V-Hard PB (twice). Standalone archival videos are already attached to my speedrun profile. I'm hoping to make eye-catching productions from each speedrun. I'm considering it to be my personal test to be a YouTuber. I was failing miserably even before this moving thing became a thing.
  23. Goal #6: finalize the tournament layout once and for all in a way that I can adapt for every game we might play. I have a volunteer to help broadcast the matches in my stead, but I need to get settled in my new place before I engage in too many projects.

  26. This week's schedule:

  29.
  30.
  31. That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, be decent to each other. Later, doods!
