  1. *Melokhia Skye fired her Kamehameha forth, but... it just wasn't fast enough. The ray Michael fired pierced through her chest in but an instant, hitting her straight through the heart and destroying it. She coughed up blood, and could only smile, as she fell back, her consciousness beginning to fade. She shut her eyes once, and thought about things, as her blood began to pool up under her.
  2.
  3. Of course... her life improved since she dealt the finishing blow to Duma. She grew in power, resolve, and... she fell in love. She fell in love with the most wonderful of women- Loraine Skye. She settled down. She had a family. She was truly happy. And, in her last moments, she died happy. She was satisfied above all else, more then she ever had been in her life.
  4.
  5. Was her death regrettable? Yes, it was. But she died standing up for what she believed in- she died to offer someone a chance at redemption, just like she did to Duma.
  6.
  7. Nobody ever truly deserved to die, she believed. Everyone always had a chance. Even Void, who killed her, still deserved a chance- at least in her opinion. These people wouldn't offer him such a chance, but... he fought for what he believed in as well. He had pride, and he had a goal- a tragic one, but one nonetheless.
  8.
  9. "It's quiet now. I don't think it's ever been this quiet before in my whole life. This is what I sought. And yet, now that the time has finally come, I long for the noise of the past. I long for those hectic and chaotic days that once were. But this too, is pleasant, in an odd sort of way."
  10.
  11. She opened her eyes one final time, flashing back to their marriage- the high point of her life. She reached into her pocket, pulling out one final object, which she held to her chest, where her heart once was. She remembered her final vows, and opened up her mouth, uttering her final words to Loraine.
  12.
  13. "I... love you."
  14.
  15. And thus she shut her eyes...
  16.
  17. "It was a good life, I think. A good, good life..."
  18.
  19. Those last thoughts in her head, Melokhia let her body go cold, her hand slipping from her chest to the ground. Left would be the picture of them at their honeymoon, smiling upon entering their vacation spot- holding hands, smiling, happy as could be.
  20.
  21. ...and died with a smile in her face.*
  22. *Loraine Skye let out a painfilled whimper as she would zanzoken to Mel's side, taking in her words, she couldn't respond, she only stared in disbelief, her eyes swelling with tears as she looked down upon her wife, she didn't know what to do, she placed her arm under her head as she sobbed, "Mel!" she cried out, gazing down at her lifeless face, she had known happiness, love and an eternal bond, and now it was gone, dissapeared in an instant, she leaned her head over her chest as she nestled her head upon Mel's body, "N-NO!" she cried, letting out a gut wrenching series of whimpers, her heart felt like it'd been stabbed, pierced.. ripped out of her body.
  23.
  24. As she continued to sob, her tears seemed to drop, almost like rain drops onto the body of her mate, as she glared down at her face, "M-Mel.. wake up.. Mel.. wake... up.." she whispered, as she shook her in her arms, her body quivered as she struggled to breathe, she couldn't comprehend what just took place, her tears seemed fluent, never ending, "Wake up Mel.. wake up.." she whispered, leaning her head down to her ear, "It's alright.. I'm here.." she said, as she leaned in, planting a firm kiss on her forehead as her lips trembled, "D-Don't leave me.. you can't leave me.." she sobbed, her hand still supporting her head, "R-Remember.. what you said on our wedding day?, we'll be together forever.." she continued, she didn't know what to do, her whole world had been shattered in a single attack, as all the foreplay, all the fun times and all the loving times they shared, she could never share again.. even just cuddling up in bed, and chatting, exchanging small talk, being with Mel was the happiest she'd ever felt.
  25.
  26. She leaned up, as she gazed down at Mels face, "I love you.." she whimpered, as she cuddled into her, holding her tightly against her body, she didn't want to let go, she didn't want to accept the truth, it was to much to bear, to much to swallow.
  27.
  28. "T-This is my fault.. we should have stayed on the beach.. why did I.. why.." she continued to go over it in her head, each time it hurt even more, "Y-You can't leave me!" she screamed, as she gently rested her head against the floor, before curling up next to her, resting her arm accross her chest as she sobbed, she felt her body tremble with agony, emotional agony, nothing compared to this pain, this emptyness, she couldn't imagine life without Mel, and she didn't want to either.*
  29. *Rumble watched onwards in absolute disdain and horror at the sight of utter cruelty being unleashed before the three of them that had stood-by. All of it simply rushed through him like a bullet being pinned to his face at point blank range, as if the potential feelings that would rush through anyone else here would be seen by him in an empathetic blitz of cinematics. How the death of one person so kind could cause so much pain, to that of the young boy standing near him, to Loraine who would probably grief through the rest of her days as nothing more than an aging widow.
  30.
  31. Mouth agape, he observed the death of someone so kind, someone so caring and forgiving, that he had been brought back from the brink by nothing but her absolute love for most living things. Comatose in position, a waterfall of running tears escaped the ducts of his sweltering eyes, the only thing keeping him sane as of the moment a distant sense of humanity burning up from within, repressing back the dark spark that lingered around the core of his agonised soul.
  32.
  33. Not only did a set of perfectly opaque makyo tears flood his face, but another set would flow down afterwards, of an entirely different nature. Fleeting a moment as it was, Melokhia wouldn't be departing from this world alone, as a warmth escaped from Rumbles pounding chest, and perhaps, for just the briefest of seconds, she would be able to see a figure standing above her with a cape rippling in the breeze, the charismatic silhouette of the provident masculine frame leaning towards her, planting but 'one' simple kiss.
  34.
  35. Offering her a hand, it grinned, tilting a pair of shapely shades with a single index finger technique. '' Let's go, babe. '' *
  36. *Somchai Skye (Pre-teen) reached forward as his mouth was impaled through her chest. His eyes widened, his throat became dry as he scrambled to his mother's side. She ignored him, predictably, in favour of her lover. That didn't concern Somchai. His mother was dying, and for the first time he actually know what it felt like to be truly helpless in a situation.
  37.
  38. Tears began to well up in his eyes, prattling in slow bursts next to Melokhia's deceased form.
  39.
  40. "No...It's not fair...you were gone for 7 years..." he whimped in a pathetic tone, his fingers digging into the tile of the ship.
  41.
  42. "YOU CAN'T DIE!" he screamed. "You've been gone...I waited everyday for 7 years! ...I ...I was so happy when..." he'd but cut off from his own choking tears. His head slowly lifting and glaring toward Void.
  43.
  44. "You...killed...my mom."*
  45. *Michael Jones stares down at his hand, trembling. He had done it. The last enemy with which to be destroyed, or so he felt. A triumph, an unending triumph. He felt as though the statue of Saint Michael, standing atop the serpent of which he had slain. Was it right? Of course not. To end a life like this. A moment passes in which reality fades for him.
  46.
  47. A scream pierces his ears, the nightmare that had haunted his childhood. The end of all things, as he knew. Before he cast aside his humanity, before he became the ruthless monster that he was. A moment of sadness. To witness the same event over, Deja Vu in it's finest form. Even, perhaps, poetic irony? He needn't know now, but the enlarged pupil dilates back into it's thousand yard stare, the heightened sense of nirvana splitting away from him.
  48.
  49. Snap back to reality.
  50.
  51. He felt weightless, unnatural. Engulfed in both a rush of adrenaline and euphoria. He had won. He had finally won, but, the haunting nightmare plagued his mind. At what cost, had he won? To strip a family and tear it asunder, much like his own. For a moment, his eyes flitter to the Makyo's form, and then back to the fallen foe.
  52.
  53. Was he no better than those whom he believed to have murdered his own, all those years ago?
  54.
  55. Was the weight of the situation clouding his formerly one-track mind?
  56.
  57. ".. Quis ut Deus. Who is alike God?"
  58.
  59. Hesitation.
  60.
  61. "Am I?"*
  62. *Loraine Skye unwrapped her arms from around Mel's body, before leaning in and planting another kiss on her cheek, she rose to her feet weakly as she locked eyes on Michael, "Y-You bastard!" she cried, as she rushed at him, she was in no fit state to fight properly, her punches would be nothing more than flea bites to Michael at this point, she continued attempting to send her fists at his shoulders, as she remained in a frenzy, tears still streaming down her face as she continued repeating over and over, "Bastard, bastard, bastard!" she screached, unable to control her emotions before falling to her knees, curling up on the floor as she sobbed into the ground, her body shivered as all she could do was whimper, unable to even speak at this point, her breathing was nothing more than gasps.*
