Metroid

With Metroid prime 4 possibly on the horizon I have decided to embark on a long procrastinated journey to becoming a Metroid fan!  I plan on playing through all the Metroid games in the series, plus AM2R.  I'll include below a brief list of the games I have played and a short review!

Metroid Prime 1:  The first 5 hours of this game took my breath away, I did not set the controller down for a long time.  Unfortunately I fell victim to Prime's greatest flaw.  The backtracking.  I was so sick of getting an item and having to trek all the way back across the over world that by the time I made it to the end and was ready to face Ridley I was hating the game.  Then I found out about the twelve artifacts and turned off my gamecube.  That was the last time I played Metroid Prime.  I might end up streaming the game later on, but for now I do not intend on returning to it.

Super Metroid: I loved this game and consider it basically flawless.  Unlike the backtracking that I detested in Prime, this game does it right.  First off the snappier movement and faster ways of getting through the world make it a lot less draining compared to the slower pace of movement in Prime.  I ended up playing this game in two sittings and will end up streaming it down the road.
