It was Sunday afternoon. John was reading at his couch with music playing in the background. He sighed in contentment and glanced at his watch. 2:12 PM. He made sure to properly mark his page before closing it and placing on his lap.

"She should be around here right about now--"

Just as he said that he could hear the door opening since it was practically slammed open, based on the sound it made on impact. Right on time.

"John~!"

"Right here, Teika."

He scooted to the couch's right side to make room. Teika sat on the other side before taking away the book from his lap. She plopped her head on its original position. Her legs were hanging on the couch's side since it couldn't exactly fit within the couch. His hand automatically went to her hair and began to comb it, untangling some hair knots along the way. This is usually how it goes when she visits him.

"What are you reading?"

Teika was curiously examining the book in her hands.

"Pride and Prejudice"

She hummed in response, placing the book unto his awaiting hand which wasn't occupied with her hair. He placed it on top of the table beside the lamp.

"How was the party last night?"

John could sense that she was anticipating and waiting for him to ask her that.

"It was nice~ Did you know that..."

Teika began to ramble as her hands did gestures. She either complained or praised what she was talking about.

She paused for a bit, intently looking at him.

"Were you listening?"

He nodded and began to recount the stories' important details and information she pretty much dumped on him. Teika looked pleased at his response and continued where she left off.

"Mind accompanying me to a party tonight? Chara is hosting this one."

"Why don't you take a rest from parties, Teika? Also, doesn't she usually host those that last up to early morning? I don't think your professor would appreciate you being late again."

She looked slightly conflicted. Teika wasn't exactly the type of person to turn down something anything and struggled to say no.

"But don't you think it's rude if I don't show up?"

"I don't think she'll mind if you didn't come."

"Hmm..."

"We can play that game I was talking about, and I'll tell her myself if you--"

"Deal! I'm telling her myself though."

She interrupted him before he could finish his offer, knowing fully well what John was about to say. Teika didn't want that.

"Alright, alright."

He placed his phone back in his pocket before standing up.

"I'll get it. It's in another room."

He left her to tinker around with her thoughts. Teika admits, John was kinda her rock, her reminder that she still needed to rest and not be constantly with people. Her weekends were usually more hectic than this, but this slight change to her Sundays felt nice.

"Found it!"

She wouldn't replace these moments with anything in the world.
