  1. The Venetian Chronicles: Gin Synrio
  2. Yuuko: (fumbling with the camera before mounting it on a tripod. Before adjusting the focus on the camera and Clearing her throat) this is Council envoy Yuuko Shirakawa, agent of the dragon, and historian for the archives in Dublin Ireland. As part of the Chronicles initiative, I am interviewing active agents from the 21st century so that future generations may better understand the context in which events are taking place. This session is being recorded on 02/01/2017 in Greenfield Ireland, at the Green residence.
  3. Yuuko: Could you please state your full name, date of birth, affiliation and rank.
  4. Gin: I can give you my chosen name, for the sake of protection. Gin Syn’rio. I was created during the time of the Gezer calendar. Translating it loosely would refer one created during the Month of May or rather, the month of reaping - 950 B.C. Of affiliation and rank - I currently have none, truly, beside my own oath to protect the Hivehum. I did recently, in past decades, work for the Templar Order but I have finally resigned from that position.
  5. Yukko: Can you tell us about your family?
  6. Gin: I have quite a big family. At the moment, my immediate family considers my wife; Patina Syn’rio as well as our children: Princeling Syn’rio (8 months old), our adopted Brownie children - Eiple(8), Reepl(8) and Weiple(7), Elisabet Bourbon (322 years old) - my daughter from my first wife, Lucinde; and Elisabet’s own daughter Mirth, our granddaughter. It is safe to say there is quite a bit more, especially with… excluded family-- the Clan Matriarchy whom didn’t approve of one leaving on my own.
  7. Yuuko: Where did you grow up?
  8. Gin: I grew up where I was created, in the Palace of King Solomon. My clan was subservient to him and his people. Our clan was one of many.
  9. Yuuko: How would you describe your childhood?
  10. Gin: Mindless. During my first few years I just did as I was told; as I was created. I did not start to fully break out of such a mindset until King Solomon passed away and lessened the grasp of bindings upon my clan. Even then I wasn’t truly free until centuries later.
  11. Yuuko: How were you first introduced to the secret world?
  12. Gin: I intermingled in and out of it during my travels around the 46 BC. It’s been quite awhile since I have delved between the various factions. I’ve come to make it my pleasure to had introduced myself to such humans; in a way of amusement. For example, I tend to send the Eye a hundred boxes of Meme Pants every year. The mayhem that ensues in the loading office cracks me up.
  13. Yuuko: Did you have any contact (either directly or indirectly) with your society before your powers awakened?
  14. Gin: Well, since I was not a human and was in full control of my powers when the societies were young, no.
  15. Yuuko: Can you tell us what a normal day looks like for you?
  16. Gin: A normal day for me sets in neutrality. I tend to stay on my family’s Isle and take care of the displaced species of magical creatures, such as Centaurs, Satyrs, Dryads and more. Sometimes I check in on my friends whom do work more intensively into the Hivehum than I do now - but thankfully it has been quiet for us.
  17. Yuuko: Has your work for your society ever brought you into contact with anyone who would be considered historically significant (world leaders, celebrities, scientist and engineers.)
  18. Gin: Thinking back to it - when I was forced to work for the Templar Order during 1970s-2014.. Hm. Not many I met during that time, truly. My work in the Order focused on the deportation of non-approved demons to the Dimensions.
  19. Yuuko: Have you ever seen an event reported in the media and known that it was a lie and if so can you tell us what really happened?
  20. Gin: To be quite honest, I didn’t pay much attention to human media. I know Ghoul Tech posts some things that I look into - though.. Perhaps only just the incident during ground zero in Tokyo where the news showed many of my friends as terrorists when they were fighting the Orochi.
  21. Yuuko: What was the last event you can remember that shook both the secret world and the mundane equally?
  22. Gin: As of late, Tokyo. That’s the only recent one in the past years that I can consider. Most else is covered up pretty well from the prying eyes of non-magical humans.
  23. Yuuko: Have you ever participated in an event considered historically important to the mundane world and if so was it on behalf of your society
  24. Gin: An incident with the Black Plague, and no, it wasn’t on behalf of the Templars. There was quite the dark era that I participated in, shamefully.
  25. Yuuko: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us Gin.
  26. Gin: Thank you for having me, Yuuko, darling. I hope this somewhat sheds light on an old Djinn like me.
