GIU Fanfic Outline

Odie approaches a strange dog garbed in the robes of an assassin, this dog seems to know odie and odie hires him to go after garfielf and friends.

Garfielf and friends are followed by this strange dog as they go about their day, the strange dog recognizes garfielf and becomes enraged and begins to focus in on garfielf

They have fights on and on throughout the week as he tests garfielf's power which later culminates in a full on fight where garfielf learns how to use his powers in different ways to deal with this menace and his powers, which essentially allow him to "Skip Time".

His identity is revealed as Marmaduke, the descendant of the one who was killed by the overlord garfielf all those years ago, he's searched for garfielf's descendants for all this time so he may exact vengeance for the death of his ancestor.

Garfielf explains that he is not responsible for the sins of his ancestor and that that happened a long time ago and as they fight, marmaduke's resolve begins to waver as he senses the pure heart garfielf has, he's searched for vengeance for so long and yet...this garfielf isn't bad and uses the strength that the overlord used for light and good.

As they fight, marmaduke, an assassin without equal and feared by all who dare speak his name finds himself on equal terms, garfielf's cunning and strength matches his own and soon his quest for vengeance turns into a warrior's quest to find an equal fight, an opponent he can go all out against and fight without reservations, without hate. he runs from the fight to recover his strength and dwell upon this

He battles garfielf one last time and explains all this and explains that he was hired by odie and he asks garfielf for one final fight, without hatred, without reservations. Two warriors duking it out for the sake of the battle alone. Garfielf grants this and without reservation they battle, their cunning and strength going head to head. Their battle ends with garfielf coming out the victor by the skin of his teeth and Marmaduke tells garfielf how he's happy..to finally have an opponent he can call his equal, as he passes out he sees a vision of his ancestor who tells him to let his hatred go and to let the past stay in the past, he wakes up and reveals that odie had hired more assassins before leaving into the shadows before telling garfielf that maybe someday they'll meet again as friends and allies.
