Heinel: At the edge of the Milky Way, the third planet in the solar system… As reported, it’s quite beautiful. It was worth coming all the way out here.

「プリンス・ハイネルご到着に先駆け、
すでに戦力の第一波を差し向けてございます」
Jangal: Prince Heinel, the first wave of troops have already been dispatched prior to your arrival.

ズール
「後は、存分に殿下の力をお振るいください」
Zuul: All that remains is for you to exercise your power, your Highness.

「よし…!
地球征服軍全兵士に告ぐ! 戦いの時は来た!」
Heinel: Alright...! This is an announcement to all soldiers of the Earth Conquest Army! The time for battle has come!

「我らボアザン帝国の栄光と名誉、
その薫り高き文化を普く宇宙の隅々にまで
及ぼさんがため!」
Heinel: For the honor and glory of the Boazan Empire, we will spread our culture far and wide to every corner of the universe!

「地球を征服し、虫ケラのごとき地球人どもを

Heinel: We will conquer the Earth, and put the Earthlings under our heel like the bugs that they are!

Kenichi: Suspending our training...? Mother, what are you talking about!?

それで今度はいきなり中止だなんて、勝手すぎるよ!」
Hiyoshi: We’ve been training for the past year, without even knowing why... How can you just call it off like that!? That’s way too selfish!

Daijiro: Mother, you’re treating us like a bunch of toys!

Kenichi: Huh!?

3人の息子たちを平気で放り込む…

Ippei: *whistles* You’re the kind of mother that would throw all three of your sons in front of a firing squad if they’d even try to escape... You’re not a normal parent, that’s for sure.

Ippei: Megumi, practitioner of the 18th generation of the Koga Style, you were thinking the same thing, right?

Megumi: Well, who can say?

「だがな、俺は健一たちやめぐみとは違って、
親にここへ放り込まれたわけじゃねえ」
Ippei: Of course, unlike Kenichi, his brothers, and Megumi, I wasn’t tossed in here by my parents.

そろそろ俺たちをここへ連れて来た
本当の理由を聞かせてもらおうじゃねえか」
Ippei: Hamaguchi, you old man. I think it’s about time you told us the real reason you brought us here.

「いいだろう。
君たちをこのビッグファルコン基地に呼び、
訓練を受けさせた理由…」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Very well. The reason all of you were called to the Big Falcon Base, the reason you were given training...

「それは、この地球を守るために
戦ってもらいたいからだ」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Is because I want you to fight to protect the Earth.

「地球を守る?
[ネオ・ジオン]との戦争にでも駆り出そうってのかい?」
Ippei: Protect the Earth? You mean you recruited us so we could fight [Neo Zeon] in the war?

浜口博士
「違う。
宇宙からの侵略者が、ついに現れたのだ!」
Dr. Hamaguchi: No. You must fight against an alien army, here to conquer our planet!

「!」
Ippei: !

浜口博士
「侵略者であるボアザン星人は、
ワープにより大気圏内に出現し、
各地の連邦軍基地を襲撃している」
Dr. Hamaguchi: They hail from the planet Boazan. The warped into Earth’s atmosphere and began their attack on several Federation bases.

日吉
「そ、そんな!」
Hiyoshi: N-no way!

めぐみ
「父がいる伊豆基地は無事なんですか!?」
Megumi: What about Izu Base, where my father is!?

光代
「岡長官は、今も基地で戦闘指揮を執っておいでです。
そして、あの方と私たちはこのような時のために
『SR計画』を進めてきました」
Mitsuyo: Chief Oka is directing the battle at the base as we speak. We have been working together on the “SR Project” precisely for a time like this.

「SR計画…!?」
Kenichi: The SR Project...!?

光代
「このビッグファルコン基地は、
今は行方の知れぬあなたたちの父親と私…」
Mtsuyo: That is something that we have been working on here at Big Falcon. Your missing father, myself...

光代
「さらに、めぐみさんのお父さんである岡長官と
浜口博士が協力して造り上げた物なのです」
Mitsuyo: As well as Megumi’s father—Chief Oka, and Dr. Hamaguchi.

浜口博士
「そして、君たちには
スーパーロボットのパイロットとなるべく、
厳しい訓練を受けてもらった」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Yes. It was necessary for you all to receive such rigorous training, in order to prepare you for becoming super robot pilots.

「スーパーロボット…!?」
Daijiro: Super robot...!?

浜口博士
「そうだ。
健一たちの父親、剛健太郎博士が
精魂を傾けて造った機体が、ここにある」
Dr. Hamaguchi: That’s right. This is the mech that Dr. Kentaro Go, your father, put his soul into creating.

浜口博士
「その名も超電磁マシーンボルテス…
ボルテスVだ!」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Its name is the Super-Electromagnetic Machine Voltes... Voltes V!

「ボルテス…ファイブ…!」
Kenichi: Voltes... Five...!

(Alarms are blaring.)

「他の基地の状況は!?」
Chief Oka: What’s the status of the other bases!?

「突然の敵襲で、どこも混乱状態です!」
Federation Soldier: The sudden enemy attack has caused confusion everywhere!

岡長官
(むうう…ボアザン星人がワープを用いて
襲ってくることは予期していたが、
結局は水際で対処するしかないとは…)
Chief Oka: (Hmmm... I assumed the Boazanians would attack using their warp technology, but it looks like we’ll be facing off with them on the coastline...)

岡長官
(だが、剛博士の言葉どおり、
彼らは初手で決定打を放ってこなかった。
そこに反撃のチャンスがある…!)
Chief Oka: (It’s just like Dr. Go said. They didn’t start their invasion with a decisive blow. That means we have a chance to counterattack...!)

「長官、
ビッグファルコンの浜口博士から通信です!」
Federation Soldier: Chief, we’ve just received a transmission from the Big Falcon! It’s Dr. Hamaguchi!

岡長官
「繋いでくれ!」
Chief Oka: Put him through!

(Hamaguchi hologram appears.)

浜口博士
「岡長官、ビッグファルコンから
ボルテスチームを出撃させました」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Chief Oka, the Big Falcon has launched the Voltes Team.

岡長官
「めぐみたちを…!?
しかし、まだ合体訓練をしていないはずだろう!」
Chief Oka: Megumi is...!? But wait, they still haven’t finished their combination training!

浜口博士
「今は一刻を争う事態です。
空中でのボルトインを敢行します」
Dr. Hamaguchi: It’s a battle against time now. They’re going to have to risk a mid-air Volt-In.

岡長官
「ぶっつけ本番というわけか…!」
Chief Oka: You mean without any practice...!?

「健一、聞こえるわね?
そのまま5機のボルトマシンで
V型編隊を組みなさい!」
Mitsuyo: Kenichi, can you hear me? You need to make a V-shaped formation with the 5 Volt Machines!

(The Voltes Team are on comms.)

健一
「ちょ、ちょっと待ってくれよ、母さん!」
Kenichi: J-just hold on a second, mother!

大次郎
「いきなりこんなもんに乗せられても、
そうスイスイと操縦はでけんど!」
Daijiro: We can’t exactly pilot these things smoothly when you just throw us in here all of a sudden!

浜口博士
「黙れ! 今までの訓練はなんのためだと思っとる!」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Quit your whining! What do you think your training has been for!?

健一
「け、けど!」
Kenichi: B-but!

光代
「しっかりしなさい、健一!
シミュレーターと同じよ!
お父様の造った物を信じれば良いのです!」
Mitsuyo: Get your act together, Kenichi! It’s just like in the simulator! Have faith in your father’s creation!

健一
「お父さんの…!?」
Kenichi: Father’s...!?

「そ、そうじゃ、このマシンには!」
Daijiro: Y-yeah, this machine has...!

日吉
「僕たちのお父さんの魂がこもっているんだ!」
Hiyoshi: Our father’s soul in it!

健一
「わかったよ、母さん…!
俺たちはやる! やってみせる!」
Kenichi: I understand, mother...! We can do this! We’re gonna do this!

Kenichi: Let’s go, everyone! V TOGETHER!!

Kenichi: VOOOOOLTEEEEES! FIIIIIIIIVE!!

「やった! 合体成功だ!」
Hiyoshi: We did it! Combination successful!

「すげえ…!
これが超電磁マシーンボルテスVか!」
Ippei: Amazing...! So this is the Super-Electromagnetic Machine, Voltes V!

めぐみ
「みんな、こっちへ何か来るわ!」
Megumi: Guys, something’s coming this way!

(Boazan Saucers appear.)

大次郎
「あ、あれは…!」
Daijiro: Are-are they...!?

浜口博士
「奴らめ、もうボルテスV に気づいたか!」
Dr. Hamaguchi: So, they’ve already noticed Voltes V!

健一
「じゃあ、あれがボアザンの…!」
Kenichi: Then, those are Boazanian’s...!

浜口博士
「そう、円盤兵器だ!
直ちに撃破し、伊豆基地へ向かえ!」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Correct, they’re flying saucer weapons! Crush them at once and proceed to Izu Base!

健一
「了解! みんな、いくぞ!!」
Kenichi: Roger! Everyone, let’s go!!

(Battle 1 begins.)

(This line triggers when Voltes V battles an enemy.)

健一
「侵略者どもめ、ボルテスのパワーを見せてやるぞ!」
Kenichi: Let’s show these aggressors the power of Voltes!

めぐみ
「頼むわよ、健一!」
Megumi: We’re counting on you, Kenichi!

大次郎
「特訓の成果を発揮する時ばい!」
Daijiro: It’s time to show the results of our special training!

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

健一
「よし!
このボルテスVなら、どんな敵が来たって戦える!」
Kenichi: Alright! With Voltes V, we can take on any enemy that comes our way!

日吉
「さすが、お父さんが造ったロボットだ!」
すごいや!」
Hiyoshi: As expected from a robot our father built! It’s incredible!

浜口博士
「ボルテスチーム、調子に乗っている場合ではないぞ!
危機的な状況であることに変わりはないのだからな!」
Dr. Hamaguchi: Voltes Team, this is no time to be getting carried away! The situation is still critical!

健一
「わかっています!
これから伊豆基地に急行します!」
Kenichi: We understand! We’re heading to the Izu Base right now!

(Scene ends.)

(Next scene begins with several Boazanian mechs surrounding the Izu Base. The World 2 gang are all inside a control tower.)

メグ
「ま、また出てきた!」
Meg: M-more are still coming!

竜馬
「ちっ、キリがねえな!」
Ryoma: Tch, well there sure are a lot of them!

凱
「奴らは軍事施設だけを狙っているのか…!」
Guy: They’re only after the military instillations...!

竜馬
「ワープなんて手が使えるんなら、
最初に大型爆弾でもブチ込めば、
それで片が付くのによ」
Ryoma: If they can use warping, then the first thing they ought to do is drop a big bomb on us and be done with it.

メグ
「じょ、冗談じゃないですよ!」
Meg: D-don’t even joke about that!

ユンナ
(敵には、それをやらない理由がある。
地球側の軍事拠点を再利用する気か、もしくは…)
Yunna: (The enemy must have a reason why they aren’t. They must intend to repurpose the Earth into a military base. That, or...)

「高熱源体接近! 10時方向より真っ直ぐ!
数は1! 識別は…」
Federation Soldier: A powerful heat source is approaching! From 10 o’clock, straight ahead! Only one target! Identifying now...

(Didarion appears on the map.)

Didarion: ...

メグ
「ディーダリオン…!」
Meg: Didarion...!

竜馬
「あいつ、また現れやがったか!」
Ryoma: So that guy’s shown up again, huh!

メグ
「ディーダリオン! あたしよ、メグよ!
返事をして!」
Meg: Didarion! It’s me, Meg! Respond!

「………」
Didarion: ...

ユンナ
「メグ、今は彼と話している場合じゃないわ」
Yunna: Meg, now isn’t the time to talk to him.

メグ
「で、でも…!」
Meg: B-but...!

「極東方面軍司令部へ!
こちらはボルテスチーム!
これより戦闘に参加します!」
Kenichi: Far Eastern Army Headquarters! This is the Voltes Team! We’re joining the fight!

岡長官
「おお、来てくれたか!」
Chief Oka: Oh, they’re arrived!

凱
「あれがボルテスV か…!」
Guy: So that’s Voltes V...!

めぐみ
「お父さん、大丈夫!?」
Megumi: Father, are you alright!?

岡長官
「めぐみ、戦闘中だぞ。プライベートな通信は控えろ」
Chief Oka: Megumi, this is the middle of a battle. Refrain from any private communications.

めぐみ
「ご、ごめんなさい」
Megumi: I-I’m sorry...

日吉
「厳しいなあ、めぐみ姉ちゃんのお父さんは」
Hiyoshi: Megumi’s father is so harsh...

竜馬
「おいおい、あっちのチームは子供ばかりかよ。
大丈夫なのか?」
Ryoma: Hey, hold up. That whatever team is just a bunch of kids. You sure they can handle this?

「並の子供なら、あんな機体に乗って
ここへ来られないさ」
Guy: Normal kids wouldn’t have made it here in a mech like that.

竜馬
「それもそうだな。なら、お手並み拝見といくか」
Ryoma: Guess you’ve got a point. Alright, let’s see what they can do.

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

「戦域内の敵機、全て撃破!」
Federation Soldier: All enemy machines in the battle area have been destroyed!

岡長官
「引き続き、上空を警戒せよ。
それと、他基地の状況を報告してくれたまえ」
Chief Oka: Keep monitoring the skies. Also, I’d like a report on the other bases.

連邦軍兵
「は!」
Federation Soldier: Sir!

健一
「これで終わりか…!?」
Kenichi: It’s over...!?

一平
「ああ、連中が現れそうな気配はねえな」
Ippei: Yeah, doesn’t look like any more are gonna show up.

弁慶
「まだ予断を許さん状況だ。
各機はその場で待機しろ」
Benkei: There’s still no telling what’ll happen next. I want every unit to remain on standby.

竜馬
「おう」
Ryoma: Gotcha.

ディーダリオン
「………」
Didarion: ...

(Didarion moves to the edge of the map, then disappears.)

メグ
「あっ!!」
Meg: Agh!!

竜馬
「またどこかへ行きやがったか」
Ryoma: And there he goes again.

ユンナ
「しかし、ここは伊豆基地です。
監視網からそう簡単には逃げられません」
Yunna: But, this is the Izu Base. He won’t be able to escape our surveillance network that easily.

メグ
「そうね…」
Meg: Yeah, I guess...

健一
「さっきのロボットは、SR計画と関係がないのか…?」
Kenichi: That robot just then, it doesn’t look like it’s involved with the SR Project, does it...?

一平
「どうやら、そうみてえだな」
Ippei: Well, it doesn’t seem like it.

メグ
(ディーダリオン…
あたしはあなたと話をしなければ…)
Meg: (Didarion... I need to speak with you...)

「地球人どもめ…!
ロボット兵器を使っておるのはわかっていたが、
予想以上の抵抗を…!」
Jangal: Those Earthlings...! I knew they were using robot weapons, but this resistance is more than we accounted for...!

ハイネル
「ふふふ…ふはははは!」
Heinel: Heh heh heh... Mwahahaha!

カザリーン
「ハイネル様…!?」
Katherine: Lord Heinel?

ハイネル
「見事だ! 見事だな、地球人め!」
Heinel: Well done! Well done, Earthlings!

ジャンギャル
「………」
Jangal: ...

ハイネル
「ジャンギャル、第1次攻撃は終了で良いぞ」
Heinel: Jangal, the first attack is over.

ジャンギャル
「し、しかし…」
Jangal: B-but...

ハイネル
「地上の主要軍事拠点に然るべき損害を与え、
奴らが混乱している内に、我ら本隊が
地球へ侵入するという目的を果たすことができた」
Heinel: We’ve dealt sufficient damage to their surface military bases. Now that they are in disarray, we can safely say we accomplished our initial objective with this invasion.

ハイネル
「そして、予想通り、
宇宙にいる地球人どもの軍勢は
ほぼ動かなかった」
Heinel: And, as predicted, the Earthling’s military force in space has barely moved an inch.

ハイネル
「奴らは、この期に及んでも
一丸となれぬことが確実となったのだ。
それだけでも充分な収穫よ」
Heinel: They proved with certainty that even despite the situation, they are unable to come together in a crisis. These results are satisfactory for now.

ジャンギャル
「ですが、我らに
もっと軍勢が与えられていれば…」
Jangal: If only we had been granted more troops then...

ハイネル
「言うな。
皇帝陛下からお預かりした戦力で、
事を成し遂げて見せねばならぬ」
Heinel: Stay your tongue. These are the forces bestowed upon us by the Emperor. We will show him that we are up more than capable of handling the task entrusted to us.

「そして、それは余の意地でもある」
Heinel: My pride is at stake.

日本とやらで新たに現れたロボットだ」
Heinel: At any rate, I have an interest in this new robot from Japan, or whatever it was call.

Katherine: Why, my lord?

「あれは本当に地球で造られた物なのか?」
Heinel: Is it truly something created on Earth?

(…司令官殿も同意見のようじゃな)
Zuul: (...It seems the Lord Commander was thinking the same thing.)

「ズール、あのロボットを調べるのだ」
Heinel: Zuul, I task you with investigating this robot.

ズール
「ははっ」
Zuul: Yes, sir.

(地球人どもよ…
この宇宙でボアザンに楯突き、生き長らえた者が
いないことを思い知らせてやる…!)
Heinel: (Earthlings... I believe it’s time you realize why there is no one in the universe who has ever defied Boazan and lived...!)

「ご苦労だったな、ボルテスチーム」
Chief Oka: Good work out there, Voltes Team.

健一
「いえ…」
Kenichi: No, it was nothing special...

めぐみ
「お父さん、地球の状況はどうなの?」
Megumi: Father, what’s the situation on Earth like right now?

岡長官
「ボアザン軍に襲撃された都市はない。
しかし、ここを含む地上の主要軍事拠点は
同時に奇襲され、損害を蒙った」
Chief Oka: The Boazanian army has refrained from attacking any cities. However, every major military base on the surface has suffered a simultaneous surprise attack, just like here. They’ve done quite a number on our forces.

岡長官
「各基地のモビルスーツ部隊が奮闘してくれたおかげで
全滅した所はないが…危機的な状況であることに
変わりはない」
Chief Oka: The Mobile Suits squadrons stationed at each base fought hard to prevent total annihilation... But unless something changes, the situation is still critical.

竜馬
「ここはまだマシだってことか」
Ryoma: Sounds like we got off easy compared to those guys.

岡長官
「うむ」
Chief Oka: Indeed.

「岡長官、宇宙の方はどうなんです?」
Guy: Chief Oka, how are things in space?

岡長官
「ボアザン軍は、月やスペースコロニーに
手を出しておらん。彼らの主力は地球の
すぐ近くにワープアウトし…」
Chief Oka: The Boazanian army hasn’t gone after the moon or the space colonies. Their main force warped out of Earth’s vicinity right after the attack...

岡長官
「さらに円盤兵器を地上の連邦軍主要基地のみに
ワープさせたようだ」
Chief Oka: Furthermore, it appears they only warped their flying saucer weapons to major Federation army bases.

竜馬
「ふん…
瞬間移動戦法なんていう手段を持ちながら、
コロニーや月には何もしてねえってか」
Ryoma: Hm... So they got these teleportation tactics, but they don’t take a stab at the moon or the colonies?

竜馬
「だいたい、連中はその気になりゃ、
こっちの基地や都市を一瞬で破壊できるだろうが」
Ryoma: You know, they could just destroy a base or a city in an instant whenever they feel like it.

弁慶
「彼らの目的は、
地球人の殲滅じゃないってことだろうよ」
Benkei: They could, but their purpose isn’t the extinction of the human race.

竜馬
「じゃあ、なんだってんだ?」
Ryoma: Oh yeah? So what IS their end game?

弁慶
「地球を自分達の植民地にし、
別の星へ攻め入るための橋頭堡にするとか…な」
Benkei: They take over Earth, then use it as a bridgehead to attack another planet... I think.

メグ
(あたしたちの世界でも、
エルツァードやディーダリオンの存在で
異星人がいるってことはわかってたけど…)
Meg: (In our world, I know there are aliens because of the Eltsad and Didarion, but...)

メグ
(現実に彼らが攻め込んでくる事態が起きるなんて…)
Meg: (I never thought I’d see an actual invasion happen...)

岡長官
「いずれにせよ、ボアザン軍の第1次攻撃は
なんとか凌げたが…」
Chief Oka: In any case, we managed to survive the Boazanian army’s first assault. However...

岡長官
「地上の混乱は、宇宙で
再起を図るネオ・ジオンにとって好機となり得る。
引き続き、厳重な警戒が必要だ」
Chief Oka: With the Earth in turmoil, Neo Zeon in space could see this as an opportune moment. We’ll need to keep a close eye on them.

一平
「異星人が攻めてきてるってのに、
下手すりゃ[ジオン]ともやり合う羽目になるのか。
やれやれ」
Ippei: We’re already being attacked by aliens, and now we’ll have to fight [Zeon] on top of that? Good grief.

健一
「もう地球人同士で争ってる場合じゃない…
力を合わせ、ボアザンと戦わなければならないのに」
Kenichi: Humanity can’t be fighting amongst itself... We need to join forces to fight the Boazanians!

「その理屈が、過去にコロニー落としを仕掛けてきた
ジオンどもに通用するかな」
Ryoma: Not sure if the Zeons are gonna care about that. Remember, these are the guys that dropped a colony on Earth before.

Kenichi: ...

竜馬
「奴らが本気で潰しに来たら、
正論をぶつけたって無駄だぜ。
やられるのはてめえの方だ」
Ryoma: If they seriously want to take you out, sound reasoning ain’t gonna mean squat. You’ll just get yourself hurt even trying.

健一
(なら、ジオンとも戦うしかないのか…?)
Kenichi: Then, will we really have to fight Zeon too...?

竜馬
「ところで、ディーダリオンの行方は掴めたのか?」
Ryoma: Anyways, have we figured out where Didarion ran off to?

「結局、こっちでもロストしたよ」
Kei: We ended up losing him again in the end...

「完全に消えちまったってことか」
Ryoma: Completely vanished, huh.

「ステルスやEPの類いを使ったとしても、
この基地周辺で消えることなど不可能なはずなのに…」
Yunna: Even with some kind of stealth or EP, outright disappearing should have been impossible this close to the base...
