COOKING WITH CONNOR COOKIES

Alexithymiaa: -Brad waas in the process of setting up his tripod positioned in front of the kitchen counter so he could film Connor and his friends baking and decorating cookies. Without hesitating, he reached for a handful of chips that were on the counter for the kids to snack on, tossing them into his mouth and leaning down to pull his camera from his bag, screwing the mounting plate into the bottom of it.-
Covet: Kelsey was having all the boys get their hands washed up in order to do the video, then gave Connor a kiss on the head which he took in an embarrasing fashion, because his mom had been overly doting on him over the last day. "Okay Momma, now you have to get out of the shot, please." He told her. Kelsey stepped out of the way and leaned against the back counter not far from where Brad was set up. She had a fairly guilty look on her face, not even telling Brad about why Connor was so upset, having just written it off as him having a conveniently timed nightmare.
Alexithymiaa: -Clipping the camera onto the tripod, he turned the camera on and angled it perfectly to start with a wide shot of all the boys in the kitchen. "Everyone get in your spots so we can starat!" He called out before looking over to Kelsey. "Doing okay? There's a lot going on."-
Covet: Kelsey gave a slight nod, crossing her arms over her chest as she did her best to hid her mild impatient agitation due to her recent bad habbit. Thankfully the guilt was making it mostly easy to ignore. // Connor stood in the center and got his buddies around him so that he could introduce them once Brad gave him the signal to start. "Hi, welcome to another episode, I brought some new friends with me this time too. These are my pals from school and today we're going to show you how to make and decorate halloween cookies."
Alexithymiaa: -As Connor spoke and introduced the video, Brad held his finger on the zoom button, applying a slow push on the shot so it wasn't entirely static and boring. Caarefully lifting the tripod from the base, he walked it down the length of the counter to take in each of the boys' faces standing at the counter with him. Everyone needs their feature.-
Covet: Kelsey stood off to the side and just watched the kiddos, waiting to come in when she was needed to move things to the oven and such as needed. // Connor continued to talk about all the things that they needed as far as ingredients and decorations went, "Okay, Now we're ready to begin. First we need to make our dough so first we need to cream the butter and sugar. Can someone put the sugar and the butter into the mixing bowl?" He asked. "Then when that is all mixed, we'll add a couple of eggs and the vanilla to mix it all up too, and set it aside while we get our dry ingredients mixed."
Alexithymiaa: -He leaned in with the camera to focus on the button aand sugar going into the bowl before pulling back to a wider shot of Connor with the boys around him.-
Covet: "Once we have the flour, baking powder, and salt all sifted together, we can slowly start to add it to the wet mixture, but we have to be careful because the flour can make a mess." He said then spoke to his friends to put scoop fulls of flour into the mixer with a measuring cup to help minimize the mess. // Kelsey winced and felt the sharp stab of a headache right above her eye.
Alexithymiaa: -He pushed in on the boys again measuring out the floor, glancing over quickly to Kelsey and furrowing his brows. He mouthed to her 'Okay?'-
Covet: Kelsey nodded her head at Brad, and just rubbed the spot where her head was aching as she tried to ignore the pain, not wanting to interupt Connor's video. // Once the flour was all mixed in, he let the mixer run a little longer so that it would form a ball of dough. "Now, we're supposed to put this in the fridge to chill for at least an hour, so we made some cookie dough earlier so that we could roll it out now." He made his way to the fridge to get the other mixing bowl with the cookie dough in it, and set it on the counter. " We need to seperate it into fourths so we can dye one purple, one orange, one green and the rest will be plain." He said getting the food coloring so they could make a mess and mix it into the the dough balls.
Alexithymiaa: _Brad followed Connor's motion with his camera to the fridge, staying on him and the dough as they came back to the counter. Glancing to Kelsey again, he studied her face, trying to see if she was being a liarrrrr.-
Covet: Kelsey just stood there with her hand rubbing her head, listening to the boys because she'd be needed soon to put pans into the preheated oven. // Once the boys got the dough all mixed up they started to roll them out, "Now we can take our halloween cookie cutters and cut our our shapes in the different colors." The boys all got together and started putting them on pans and Kelsey came over to organize them to fit as many as possible without them mushing together in the overn.
Alexithymiaa: -He leaned over the counter to get in a close shot of the cookies behind arranged on the pan in assorted colors and shapess, instantly licking his lips because he wanted one so badly.-
Covet: "We made some cookies earlier so that we can get right into decorating them" Connor said as his Mom pulled the cookies out of the way and put them into the oven. There was now four tupperware containers that had blank sugar cookies in them of the different colors and a bunch of icing bags in different colors, and all the halloween sprinkles you could imagine. The boys started decorating them as Connor went about explaining how to do different ones, before doing his sign off, so that the camera could just run while the boys had fun, making a mess. // Kelsey stepped away into the hall just around the courner and pressed her head against the wall as she felt the sharp stabbing pain again.
Alexithymiaa: -Zooming in just a bit to fraame the boys decorating aa bit better, he abandoned his camera and turned to follow Kelsey down the hall, stopping when he saw her in clear distress. "You're not okay."-
Covet: Kelsey shook her head, "I'm fine... it's just a headache." She told him in a weak tone. "I don't want to take you away from Connor's video." Kelsey added as well, because Connor needed that reinforcement right now. "Please, I'll be okay. I'll just go take some pain reliever."
Alexithymiaa: "They're just decorating. It's static anyway." He said gently to her, watching her face. "Okay... maybe you should lay down for a little and I'll make sure they clean up when they're done."-
Covet: "I don't want to leave that all on you. I was the one who wanted Connor to do this, I can't bail on him Bradley." She said shaking her head, her eyes watering a little from pain, and a little from mommy guilt.
Alexithymiaa: "It's fine. It's equal responsibility here. Go relax and I'll make sure they don't set the house on fire." He said, leaning in to kiss her cheek before turning back around to head into the kitchen.-
Covet: "Are you sure?" She asked him, then gave in, "Okay, I'm going to go get some pain meds out of my bag in our room, then lay down for like half an hour, so I can come down and help clean up."
Alexithymiaa: "Alright. Go close your eyes." He said and focused back in on his camera, cutting the shot. "That was really great guys, good job. Why don't we take a picture of everyone with the cookies they decorated?"-
Covet: "Thank you." She said as she made her way to their room to get some pain meds and to take a quick bump to help encourage that headache leaving... for now. // Connor grinned and lifted up his cookie and smiled, then looked around, "Is Momma going to take the cookies out of the oven?"
Alexithymiaa: "I'm going to take the cookies out of the oven for her. Her head hurts so she is going to get medicine to fix it." He told him gently, bringing the camera up to take a snapshot of the boys and their cookies. He then walked around to the other side of the counter, glancing around for an oven mitt.-
Covet: After medicating herself, she laid herself down in the bed place and halfway dozed off, definitely not waking up to help clean up. // "Oh, okay Dad." He said with a smile, "Thank you. Maybe we can bring momma a cookie later and that will help her headache."
Alexithymiaa: "That sounds like a very good idea. Why don't you all get washed up and start prepping your sleeping bags in the living room?" He asked, but sort of was just telling them to do it, finding an oven mitt and pulling the tray of cookies out of the oven to set down on top of the stove to cool. He was definitely not going to clean up either.-
Covet: "Okay Dad." He said and went with the boys to the bathroom down the hall to get washed up, "Can you get the movie going for us too Dad?!"
Alexithymiaa: "Sure, I got it." He said a little frazzled dealing with so many kids at once. He was used to Connor, but this was throwing him a little. He walked out of the kitchen to pop the DVD into the player, letting the menu load up before remembering to go back into the kitchen and actually shut the oven off. Dont kill all the kids.-

Covet: Connor and company came back out all changed and ready for bed as they all got into their sleeping spots to watch the movie things and such.
