  1. this game gets so much shit from its fanbase. the game is far from perfect, sure; but people talk about the bad all the time, and fail to see the good. i've played video games ever since i was a little girl in the early 2000's, but the first fps's I played were tf2 (started 2011) and then cs:go (2015), so I will compare to them a lot! i've followed overwatch since the day it was announced, but only started playing seriously in season 7.
  2.
  3. anyway; here are a list of 100 reasons why i love overwatch.
  4.
  5. * quick queue times with short, 10-25 min matches. you can usually go from desktop to attacking the first point of horizon in 8 minutes or less.
  6.
  7. * no other game has made me feel more strongly tied to a team. you can't solo carry as hard as in cs:go, but a 5v6 is a lost battle 95% of the time.
  8.
  9. * gateway
  10.
  11. * diverse characters and cultures. i've never seen such a popular game get so many things right about the cultures they portray. busan is my favorite examples of this, showing three different sides of korea. there are of course mistakes (the tapestry on hanamura, brig's and mercy's accents, etc.) but that's bound to happen if you attempt to portray as many cultures as overwatch does.
  12.
  13. * good looking characters. i mean; overwatch has something for whatever you're into... people who like dudes can gawk at mccree, lΓΊcio, hanzo & doomfist, and if you're into girls you won't mind looking at tracer, brigitte, dva and pharah. if you're bi; nice, you get to look at them all. if you're asexual, legend has it that watching pine hitting flicks has been garanteed to leave you with some activity in your lower regions...
  14.
  15. * reports actually do something. pressing the report button in most other games i've played
  16.
  17. * blizzard cares about competitive mode. in cs:go, the pros always play on esea or faceit, and _never_ play the in game competitive. i've been higher ranked than a few pros, and i was never higher than dmg. literally no one interested in competitive tf2 play its in game matchmaker. i'm so happy that i can check the in-game top 500 list, and actually see pros there!
  18.
  19. * accessible esport. while most first-time viewers of the game will get a headache from all the effects; blizzard has done a great job of minimizing it. the team colors are a really good feature (pls release it for the public soon) that i wish other esports had.
