  1. Every few months we see a different JMod asking what should be done about PvP or DMM, and we all come together as a community. I have personally hosted numerous meetings with high profile players and other content creators both on my livestream and in our own time to collaborate suggestions to then send in. Every single time we get almost 0 feedback (with the exception of Ayiza when he was on the team) or even a response to say the suggestions have been read. There seems to be very little attention to PvP within the Oldschool team and I understand that resources are limited, but as a result over the years the PvP community has constantly been let down and the playerbase has dwindled. BHV2 was announced Winter 2017 and then all we got was radio silence. At Runefest 2018, the same slides were used with nothing new to add promising it before 2019, still there are no updates or any response when we ask for updates. DMM over the years has died down in terms of playerbase but still brings in an extremely large amount of players to the game as an advertising tool, I still strongly believe that it's potential has yet to be reached and in particular I'm really looking forward to the next season with some of the biggest changes in a while. With the promise of a "Competitive Gaming Team" being announced mid last year to focus exclusively on PvP/DMM/other competitive game modes we feel we are finally getting the attention we deserve. Still to this day we are unsure if the Competitive Gaming Team is in process although I understand losing the most PvP-oriented dev last year might have something to do with it. However, the lack of communication honestly astounds me from the largest independent UK based gaming company and it's simply not good enough. The poll system simply does not work and when I hear Jmods stating that spite-voting isn't a thing on the Q&A I couldn't believe it, the OSRS team needs to be aware that this is a real problem and find a solution ASAP. I am lucky to be invited to Jagex-related events and they always treat us amazingly well, just PvP meetings rarely happen and there is 0 sense of direction. I've recently been assured that things will improve this year and there are huge plans in action of which I am very excited for, but my gut tells me that I have to be careful of getting my hopes up again and focus on the things I do have control over and the lessons learnt of the past. I extend my line of communication once again and am always up for coming to the office with peers for brainstorming or helping to offer advice/opinions wherever possible. I am still very excited for the game in general and the future of OSRS, I just hope that PvP aspects of the game gets the much needed attention it deserves. I strongly believe that focus needs to be put on the current problems (I will list some important ones below) but I am overall hopeful for the future.

  3. -PvP World Rotor. (remove/add more worlds)
  4. -BH bots monitored and just give us the lootkeys, with so many people in a small area/proximity it lags so hard that it's literally unplayable.
  5. -EP system or more ways to make money in PvP. 20B+ is taken out of the duel arena every day and tens of thousands of players farm gold from 500K-5M/h with no risk, why can't the PvPers also make some money generated for their time doing activities?
  6. -PID (prioritise either eating or damage taken which would allow for double deaths and not give one player a huge advantage, or another solution it just gives too much of an advantage to one player in it's current state)
  7. -BHV2 update (is it still going to happen? at least tell us what's going on or why it's being delayed please)
  8. -Competitive gaming team update (no news since the announcement mid last year)
  9. -Gmaul (my personal suggestion was nerfing maul to 60% spec and a consumeable attachment from BHV2 store/gargoyle boss making it 50% again to offset the best spec weapon in the game only costing 30K, in turn providing more profit for either of those activities. So long as it keeps a higher value than 30K.)
  10. -Mage based melee special (Korasi, pray melee meta is frustrating)
  11. -AHK monitoring; it has seriously gotten out of hand especially in the High Risk World, nobody gets banned for it in PvP and after speaking to the skilling HLC nobody gets banned for it there either. Can you enforce this rule or why has there been no progress?
  12. -Ragging/Harassment dealt with better, maybe player support can lend a hand or you employ a specific individual to monitor these reports/the worlds.
  13. -Ranging in melee armour shouldn't be a thing, wearing high defence melee gear should more significantly negatively impact your range accuracy.
  14. -Rebalancing of the combat triangle, it's outdated and specifically magic is very underpowered compared to range. Either that or offer some much stronger alternatives to salad robes/mystics without breaking the bank which can better compete DPS wise.
  15. -Nerf to black d'hide melee defence stats, melee beats range in the combat triangle if you don't want to remove the crazy high magic defence and the range bonuses for next to no cost then this is another way to deal with it potentially.
  16. -F2P TB is necessary, it's completely dead and offers no negatives whatsoever.
  17. -Add banks with teleports to them in the Wilderness such as FOG bank, they created hotspots for activity.
  18. -Emblem change wasn't working as desired, people not risking an emblem no longer get one generated OR got their opponents so although the emblem price has risen (rewarding those risking it further), newer PKers cannot profit and only the good PKers end up risking emblems. Suggestion would be to allow one or the other when not risking an emblem, but not both.
  19. -Update the Wilderness (so many possibilities, high reward for high risk black chins is a perfect example and so are revs, just don't make it best skilling exp/h in the game)
  20. -Buff normal spellbook, at least make freezes not half on pray magic.
  21. -CC Glitch has been a huge problem for clans and team pkers, needs to be addressed.
  22. -Wildy Slayer should have it's own drop table like Konar does. Having trained 75 Slayer there on my pure ironman apart from the almost 100 emblems I received it was extremely underwhelming loot.
  23. -One-way safe spots need to be removed entirely, it makes no sense and with the exception of a few players those utilising them efficiently do so via plugins on modified clients giving them a huge advantage.
  24. -Remove the world hopper timer in Wildy, it makes PK'ing/finding people too frustrating that now barely anybody does it.
  25. -Resource area as well as other skilling methods in the Wilderness needs another look at, very outdated and not worthwhile.
  26. -Brawler gloves. I know the HLC doesn't want them but if they were untradeable and the avg time it took to get them was less than just skilling then it might be better balanced.
