  1. [17:19] Adama was likely to be forgotten for his petty theft, and so he gets up from his sand bed by the oasis, and goes north, back home.
  2. (Adama)
  3. [17:22] Adama spots a tall drakanite in the distance, and waves.
  4.
  5. Adama himself was a an average 5'9", with baggy clothes that were caked with grit and sand. And yet he found no discomfort with the sand, and continues to wave until they have got the other's attention.
  6. (Adama)
  7. [17:23] The boy would note someone else waving in his direction as he floated along, he would curiously look and wave back. "Hi."
  8. (Mynk)
  9. [17:23] Adama asks, "Ah, Sir? What are you out here for? Perhaps wood harvesting or ore?"
  10. [17:23] Adama says, "I can help with either."
  11. [17:26] Mynk says, "Not really just explorin, you might find people like that in the city though."
  12. [17:27] Adama says, "I see. Exploring."
  13. [17:28] Adama seems amused that this boy was exploring, chuckling to himself.
  14. (Adama)
  15. [17:28] Adama says, "I suppose you wouldn't know where a vendor I can sell to is? More than ten coins apiece, of course."
  16. [17:30] "There's bar's around town. Granted I don't know how to get there myself." Chuckling a bit as he felt the effects of his potion dwindling, causing his floating to be unstable.
  17.
  18. So he would land as soon as it started, just to not have to deal with falling and busting his ass. "Bet someone could help you out if you asked."
  19. (Mynk)
  20. [17:31] Adama asks, "Ah. And might I ask you something?"
  21. [17:31] Mynk asks, "Hm??"
  22. [17:31] Adama says, "... May I help take that grit off you? You seem a tad dirty, and may not wish to be like that."
  23. [17:32] Mynk asks, "I don't mind it that much but how would you do that?"
  24. [17:33] Adama calmly takes a ball of mud from the earth, and as though it were a magnet, takes off extra bits of dirt and grime and grit from his boots. It eventually grows too heavy for use, and so lies on the ground in a collected dirty ball.
  25. (Adama)
  26. [17:38] The boy observed the magic, and he was always someone to appreciate any and all magic, so he looked pretty impressed.
  27.
  28. "That's convenient, and pretty cool." He would simply say as he began to walk.
  29.
  30. "See you around. Name's Mynk." A small wave offered as he passed.
  31. (Mynk)
  32. [17:38] Adama nods to Mynk, and says, "My name is Adama. Farewell."
  33. (Adama)
  34.
  35. ===Arrival to Town===
  36. [17:44] The sandy, baggy-clothed man introduces himself to the people on the bench.
  37.
  38. "I am Adama. I have heard that this is a town here. May I find a place to sell ores and plants?"
  39.
  40. The man's darkened skin seems to glisten, as though it were covered in sweat.
  41.
  42. And yet, he does not appear to be tired, just bored.
  43. (Adama)
  44. [17:46] Chuckling playfully at Ava, Emily would just shake her head, "Oh, you're silly. No reason to really do it. ."
  45.
  46. With the approach of Adama, the Acolyte of the Faith would blink slowly and stared over them for a moment. They seemed a Farmer of Messaris or of the associated lands.
  47.
  48. "Oh, yes! Of course! There's a whole market place where you can sell your goods just over there!" She'd point at the Essharan Merchant. Bowing her head gently, she didn't know if they had more to say or not, but thought it might be kind to introduce herself at least in response.
  49.
  50. "I'm Sister Emily of the Faith, as well. These are my friends, Ava, Caesar and Kelly of the Watch. Do you live around here?"
  51. (Emily Cherury)
  52. [17:51] Adama shook his head.
  53.
  54. He points to the Essharan Merchant, and comments, "This man cheats people of coin." He sets his arm down in time to see her bow her head.
  55.
  56. He seems apathetic to the fact that they are of 'the Faith', but he shakes his head at the comment about living around the city.
  57.
  58. "I believe I am called 'Nomad' to you people. Recently, boars maimed my brother and rampaged through the small hut we had in the desert."
  59.
  60. Likely not to be educated, this man does not seem the sort to not know what soap is but seems almost eerily... Dirty and not dirty. Sand and grit stuck to his clothes, but not his skin.
  61. (Adama)
  62. [17:57] Emily would smile softly, giving a little chuckle to the words that the man cheats people out of their coin. It was partially true, as it was selling for below market price on a lot of goods.
  63.
  64. "Well. . If you would like, you can always head below into the Undermarket below, set up your own stall to advertise your wares. Ava, here, makes thousands of coin from her works." She'd nod her head happily. "That's what I'd do if I were you."
  65.
  66. Just blinking her eyes at the words of Nomadic peoples, she truly didn't even know people were doing that on the outskirts of the Kingdom. Seemed a rough and dangerous life! Nonetheless, Emily would offer what she always would.
  67.
  68. "If you are looking for more permanent resting, you could stay at the Church northwest of here. We take in all peoples, especially if your Father is wounded and out of work for now?" The refugee center was never really that full, as their hospital generally set up people from their wounds.
  69.
  70. "Up to you though. Many paths in this life. Might want to find a job with one of the Organizations of the Kingdom though."
  71. (Emily Cherury)
  72. [18:02] The nomad squints with suspicion, his clothes suddenly... rustling? Was it possible to do that? It certainly was with this nomad, as it shakes and reveals a significant amount of sand shaken out of them, before it climbs up from his shoes and pants back into the clothes.
  73.
  74. How odd!
  75.
  76. "My brother is dead. My family have decided to abandon the way of land and refuse to acknowledge me. However, I will go to this 'Church' of yours, if you may allow me refuge for the time I am here."
  77.
  78. He sighs, deflating a bit into softer, sad eyes.
  79.
  80. "May you lead me to this 'Church'? I have little to give, but accept this coin, and these plants as tribute for your... kindness. If that is what offering this bed is."
  81. (Adama)
  82. [18:04] "Sure, let's go to church real quick."
  83.
  84. She knew that Avaseele wasn't the one asked, but considering Avaseele wished to visit the church regardless she didn't mind snatching up the opportunity to show somewhere where the church is. Though she figured Emily would be all for showing them where anyway, it didn't matter that much.
  85.
  86. Ultimately she just wished to move around for a bit. "Emily I'ma need the other piece of armor later on to put runes on. No rush though, obviously." She informs them.
  87. (Avaseele Valar)
  88. [18:08] Emily would smirk playfully at Adama for a moment as the goods were dropped at her feet, tilting her head before shaking it slowly, "No, friend. You keep your goods for now. You might be able to sell them for more. I don't do this for any kind of payment. I do it so that you will have a better start to your life in the Kingdom."
  89.
  90. Directing the goods be taken back by Adama, she would stand up and turned with the group, "Come, then. Let's head to the Church. There's no payment or demand to stay there. Just enjoy yourself and let your time be spent in solace. If you end up desiring it, we may even teach you Holy and Cosmic magics, but you would have to show your desire - and prove worth to the Teachers of it."
  91.
  92. Bowing her head once more, she'd turn her attention to Ava with a little happy squinty gaze, "Oh, yes! Thanks for reminding me! We can enchant my pants here soon." She'd giggle softly, gesturing for them to move onward.
  93.
  94. "Come then."
  95. (Emily Cherury)
  96. [18:08] Adama says, "Oh, you are... an artificer, miss? You may wish to have these. I will discuss reciprocal payment when we arrive."
  97. [18:09] Adama says, "Ah, Emily, I insist you keep this. No blessing must come without proper effort."
  98. [18:10] Adama anxiously shoves everything into Emily's literal face.
  99. (Adama)
  100. [18:11] Emily Cherury says, "As you say. Come, then. It's not far."
  101.
  102. ===Arrival to Church===
  103. [18:12] Emily Cherury says, "Here it is, Adama."
  104. [18:13] Emily Cherury asks, "Ah, hello, friends. We have another from the town in need of staying here for the time being. I trust all is well?"
  105. [18:13] Adama enters the grand building called a 'Church' with bewilderment. How was the surfaces so smooth, and the windows, they were not covered with tapestry, but with a thin piece of stone that one could see through!
  106. (Adama)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108. [18:13] Adama reaches the inside of the church, and finds the rooms use fire for illumination, a surprise from a man who experiences windy nights in the desert.
  109. (Adama)
  110.
  111. [18:15] The acolyte's gaze shifts from Brennend to Myrra, then over to the girl writing within her journal. The church had been very quiet nowadays, so it was a positive change of pace to see others within.
  112.
  113. "I cam here to do work, sister. As I always do, you know that."
  114.
  115. Sain offers a smile, followed by a wink, before making his way over to a pew. Sitting atop, he folds one leg over another, before bowing his head.
  116.
  117. Very obviously praying.
  118. (Sain Albein)
  119.
  120. [18:26] The nomad seems entranced by Sain, staring at his calm composure, along with his clasped hands. The nomad, likely used to dancing and more vibrant spiritual practice, assumes the worst.
  121.
  122. He squints, and points to Sain, and askes Emily with the tug of his other hand.
  123.
  124. "What is this man doing? Why has he gone still, is the man dead?"
  125.
  126. The nomad breaks away from Emily, and goes to shake Sain by the shoulders. The vigorous shaking would likely interrupt whatever they were doing.
  127.
  128. "You are not dead, but you hold still as though you are frightened, tell me, what are you doing sir."
  129.
  130. As he walked to the praying man, he tracks all sort of sand across the floor. What a mess!
  131.
  132. He seems focused on making sure the man is not dead, taking a goatskin flask full of herb'd water to his nose, which smells of a very potent sweetness, as though it were the dew off a fruit.
  133. (Adama)
  134. [18:28] Looking to Adama then, Emily blinked at him as they went to poking the 'dead' praying man. "Oh, Adama! Goodness. No, he's praying to the Stars. It's a practice of meditation."
  135. (Emily Cherury)
  136. [18:32] Sain had been very obviously praying, or perhaps contemplating last night's revelry. No matter, he certainly appeared lifeless. Tranquil, serene, his eyes shut tight, fingers interlocked.
  137.
  138. Upon Adama's interruption, shaking and odor both, the acolyte opens one eye, his golden gaze shifting to the boy fully. A quirk of a brow, before he offered a long chuckle.
  139.
  140. "I was praying, young one. Don't worry about my well being. You are free to join me, if you wish."
  141.
  142. A smile formed upon his soft countenance, before he craned his head around. Looking at all the others who had appeared, unbeknownst to the acolyte.
  143.
  144. "Though you are going to stay here, yes? I imagine you've heard little of the Faith in the desert. I'm not the one to initiate recruits, but I'm willing to assist you in any way that I can."
  145.
  146. "You may refer to me as Sain."
  147.
  148. A short bow of his head, before silence.
  149. (Sain Albein)
  150. [18:42] The nomad blinks as an eye was peered open, and nods, letting go of 'Sain'. He turns around to listen to the commotion, before asking, with some sense of the situation...
  151. (Adama)
