  1. /me 9 AM. November 2nd. The the sound of a clock ticked in the back of the Garchomp's head as she sat in her workshop, with a small, cube-shaped device in front of her, while on the inside a sphere fit perfectly inside of it. This humanoid Garchomp was Eldora. Probably the happiest person in her small town of Ven "City." Everyone envied her for her fantastic ability to be happy and make the best out of a bad situatio; but under all of that happy go-lucky demeanor was something much more sinister; something that bit away on her insides. Anyone living in the region of Sorre knew the place was awfully corrupt. Which, is why one day they approached Eldora when she was very young; 7 years old, in fact. She was roaming the streets of Ven all before the war and the plague happened. That's when two men in suits approached her, and gave her the device that was described earlier. They didn't tell her what it was, but they also gave her an encrypted letter. She wasn't able to find out what it said until she was 13 when she was able to pay for someone to decrypt it. And that's when it all hit her. It was a little "test" from the government that said if she wasn't able to disable the device before the age of 30, she would die. Of course when she first read it, she thought it was simply a bluff, as any reasonable person would. But as her life went on, she would slowly grow more and more wary of it, until she finally decided to become a mechanic and electrician to find out how to help disable this device. But unfortunately, all of her attempts to disable it had been unsuccesful. And that leads us to today. She was 29, and she turned 30 on Christmas Day, meaning she had 53 days to figure it out. All of her progress had been small and insignificant to this point. The Garchomp huffed out of frustration, and decided to take a break; as dumb as she thought it was at first. She stood up and walked out of her workshop, and out onto her porch as she looked out at the cracked street in front of her. It was rather sad that her beloved town had turned up like this after all the war and destruction that was brought onto the town; not that she cared. She had little to care about, because at this point, while she did try to disable the device, she had doubts in the back of her head, which lead to her depression. It ate away at her in the back of her head, making it harder and harder to put on her happy facade. Her tail swished back and forth mostly out of more frustration as she stared at the orange and purple sky produced by the sunrise. She looked the side of her porch, and looked at the markings she had created one day out of heavy anger. The more she looked at it, the more angry she got herself. Why did they have do this to her? Why her of all people? More thoughts like this and more anger swam in her mind like a school of barracuda. She wasn't sure what her future would bring from now, but she knew it wouldn't be pretty. Many days like this she would just sit down and stare out in the distance and just break out into tears. But for some reason, today was... different. Like she has lost her ability to be sad or something. She simply stared out at the purple and orange sunrise in front of her, her face deadpanned. She shook away her hazy thoughts, and got up, stepping out onto the concrete. It was a hot day already, hot enough to where you could probably cook eggs on the cracked sidewalk. She decided she was going to try to clear her mind by walking around the place, as she walked along the extremely dry and cracking asphalt. It had been at least a good decade or so since the streets had last been paved, so at this point residents of the town didn't really care. She walked over towards the bar, silence surrounding her.
