i'm gonna pound out a chronicles run (Now In Color) over the next few weeks and when i get sick of it for the day i'll think about vtmb all quest routing

i've ran into issues with the route. i had planned on using nosferatu with obfuscate and animalism to go faster. however, because the nosferatu are ugly af they can't do certain quests because they can't talk to most normal people. for example, getting the replacement bloodpet for the blood bank in santa monica (you can't talk to the girl in the nightclub to send her over)

more troubling is you can't get a whore for romero to solve his zombie quest in hollywood since you can't talk to whores. i tried actually doing the quest but it sucks. it's 5 minutes long on a timer, and it seems the best way to handle it (as nos) is to level up ranged weapons all the way, buy ammo from mecurio or fat larry, and hope you can fend off the last minute or so of zombies from lucky 1 shot kills 3 zombies in front of the gate randomness. it's not impossible (although some feel it is) but it definitely sucks to lose out 4 and a half minutes or some bullshit and have to redo it, if you saved.

the alternative clan with obfuscate is malkavian, but they don't have a ranged discipline attack. it means i'll have to rely on vision of death as the discipline damage dealer, and then either level up brawl (which'll never be that great) or ranged weapons like nosferatu (might mean going out of my way to get cash for ammo/gun purchases, 1 purchase of which is necessary anyway) except no romero zombie quest since malkavians can purchase prostitutes. however the final plague bearer will be a huge pain since i doubt i'll have as much experience as i'd like to level up ranged to be useful. i have to test it all out. i know tremere can do everything since i originally routed with em, so that's a good fallback
