  1. The apartment of Najma Bua: recorded via a mounted display 9-22-2013
  2. Connar: 316, 317…321 here it is, do you want to get the lock or should I?
  3. Kenzie: I have got this one, so what do we know so far?
  4. Connar: Najma Bua, age 29, originally from Pakistan she came to the UK to study English at Oxford. The Guardian hired her as a freelance contributor to their Downing Street blog and according to her editor she was working on a story about Whedom Earl a member of the Conservative Party who recently came back from the Congo. She suspected he was involved in financing death squads in order to gain exclusive access to the country’s vast deposits of rare earth elements, but based on what you told me she found something more.
  5. Kenzie: Do you know if she was working with anyone else?
  6. Connar: Not to my knowledge, her editor said she went dark about a month ago
  7. Kenzie: What about any pets, cats, reptiles, insects, those kinds of things
  8. Connar: I don’t think so
  9. Kenzie: was she a armature butcher or sulfur enthusiast
  10. Connar: Something on your mind Kenzie?
  11. Kenzie: yes, her apartment stinks. I haven’t even got the door open and I can already smell it, it smells like there is a bunch of dead cats in there.
  12. Connar: (takes a jar of salve out of his coat pocket and dabs a little under his nose) here put a little of this under your nose, it should help
  13. Kenzie: (looks at the jar) oh cool, it’s that stuff from silence of the lambs, what’s it called again
  14. Connar: menthol salve, you think we need bio hazard gear?
  15. Kenzie: I don’t think so if it was anything that strong I’d be struggling to breath. (The lock clicks open) Got it, (Kenzie tries to open the door, it won’t move,) something is barring the door.
  16. Connar: (tries to open the door,) I don’t think it’s barred just stuck, if the two of us push together we should be able to get it open.
  17. Kenzie: On three?
  18. Connar: On three. One, Two, (Kenzie and Connar crash into the door opening it just enough to get inside)
  19. (The apartment is dark and the floor is covered in garbage and dirty laundry, half eaten packages of raw meet are on the counter and the walls are covered in notes and photos. The windows are boarded up, the air is humid and the entire apartment reeks of feces.)
  20. Connar: (coughing) Jesus! How could someone live in here!?
  21. Kenzie: The menthol, it does nothing!
  22. Connar: (pulls a flash light out of his pocket and turns it on) the fridge is open, floor is covered in garbage, and it looks like she was sleeping and working on the couch.
  23. Kenzie: I’ll go over all of the notes on the wall and search the living room, if you check the rest of the apartment.
  24. Connar :…
  25. Kenzie: Something wrong, Connar?
  26. Connar: Nothing I'm just trying to decide which is less disgusting, wading through all of this or daring to see what is lurking in the bathroom.
  27. Kenzie: I’d say there about equal and I have already started gathering the notes.
  28. Connar: (sighs) I’m on it.
  29. Record time: 1:00:57
  30. Connar: (returning from the bath room,) the bathroom is covered in eldritch symbols, shit and blood were apparently her preferred mediums. Based on how she arranged them it looks like she was trying to summon something, though it doesn’t look like she succeeded. What did you find?
  31. Kenzie: A mac book full of notes+ her diary and a diagram of people she suspected of being connected to Third Sunday.
  32. Connar: well who did she suspect?
  33. Kenzie: Initially she suspected Whedom Earl was a member based on the company he was keeping in the Congo. During several visits to the region on “personal” business she spotted him with an unknown and heavily armed security force as seen here.
  34. (Kenzie hands Connar a photo of a squat balding man in his late 50’s surrounded by soldiers in red and white armor)
  35. Kenzie: However after he returned to the Congo two weeks later without them she figured he was only a client. She then writes in her diary about bribing a local child in Brazzaville to steel one of the guard’s smart phones. She ultimately got a hold of the phone but not before the child was shot for entering a restricted area. The phones contact lists lead her to a man named Harold Wakefield who worked in down town London as a hedge fund manager, he was described in the phone as a screener and numerous outgoing calls were made between this particular guard and Wakefield. She later asked a “friend” of hers to bug Wakefield’s email and this lead her to the second client, Amadaus Twist.
  36. Connar: Amadaus Twist? You mean the bio pharmaceutical tycoon?
  37. Kenzie: That’s the one, Amadaus Twist bio pharmaceutical tycoon and out spoken proponent of genetic engineering. Critics say he is preaching little more than eugenics dressed as medicinal genetics. Wakefield contacted him with a lunch invitation a few days before he went to china to study a “specialty” school, which selected students based on their genetic predispositions. He was accompanied by heavily armed guards in red and white armor and left china with the patents for several new but undisclosed technologies. Then there is Adam Worth, out of the three people she investigated she noted that Worth was in contact with Wakefield the most and at times seemed to be giving him orders. She speculated if he is not in charge of Third Sunday then he is near the top.
  38. Connar: what else did she find out about Worth?
  39. Kenzie: Lord Adam Worth is a templar grandmaster and outspoken critic of the new templar movement. He has repeatedly gone on the record in Venice about the new templar saying that they put everything the order has worked to achieve at risk and he often criticizes Sonnac for not being aggressive enough in the war on evil. He is responsible for putting down the witch’s rebellion in Northern Ireland in the 80’s, leading a campaign to “reclaim” artifacts from former colonies and he was instrumental in carrying out the orders cryptid registration and relocation protocols for Western Europe for the last 50 years. John Omondi is described as his arch nemesis and He is also a big fan of Twist’s ideas and he had recently struck up a friendship with a Dr. O’Dell in New York.
  40. Connar: Now we're getting somewhere, did she find out anything about what Worth and O’Dell talked about.
  41. Kenzie: not much, though based on how frequently the two were in contact with one another she believes they were lovers. On September 6th she writes that Lord Worth and a detachment of armed guards in red and white suits left for New York. She followed them to New York but lost them somewhere around Brooklyn. According to her diary once she returned to London, she met a friend in dark side for drinks at the horned god and shortly after that she wrote about taking a brake due to headaches. After that her Diary just disintegrates into gibberish. However based on how much gibberish she wrote it looks like she was alive for another week before she wondered out into dark side and died in the streets.
  42. Connar: I guess we have got two new objectives, first we must find out more about Adam Worth and second we must find this friend that Najma had drinks with and beat some answers out of him.
  43. Kenzie: Sounds like a plan, Oh and before I forget there is a second set of data on her mac book, this set is encrypted. I’m going to take it back to Iris Genetics for further analysis.
  44. Connar: Can I get a copy of that data?
  45. Kenzie: Only if we can get out this apartment
  46. Connar: Deal, do you know if Mama Abena is still open at this hour?
  47. Kenzie: Anywhere is better than here, as long as I can get food that isn’t rotten and a tetanus shot.
  48. End of recording
