Description:
A pillager who prays to Mother
Mila before participating in raids.
Personality:
Dirk came from a family where religion and prayer was a large part of his life. He was the third of 5 children, all sons. His father was a devout follower of Mother Mila and took up the mantle as the town pastor. Dirk believed he would one day follow in his father's footsteps, until his father abandoned their family for a mistress. However, Dirk never lost his faith, just his respect for his father, calling him a heretic. Believing that the position is what tainted his father, Dirk decided to leave home and never take the position of a religious leader and instead travel the land. There he ran into members of Grieth's pirates, whom he tried desperately to save through his words. He deciding joining the crew to try and work from the inside would work better overall, and eventually lost his original goal in favor of raiding himself. Although, before every raid, he would ask for the Mother's protection and guidance, and would avoid killing when he could. When the crew kidnapped Silque, Dirk realized how serious of an offense this was, and tried to convince his allies to release the priestess, but they refused.
