  1. -- grinningMurderer [GM] began pestering moroseMalaise [MM] at 00:21 --
  2. GM: Good evening, miss LaMorte.
  3. MM: Good evening.
  4. GM: You are the cursed one, right?
  5. MM: I suppose you could say that. I have had an aura of bad luck around me all for as far back as my memory goes.
  6. GM: I see.
  7. GM: That is... interesting, at least.
  8. MM: Any particular reason you needed confirmation on this fact?
  9. GM: No, not at all. It is just that...
  10. GM: I was bored, you see.
  11. MM: As are most people from time to time.
  12. GM: Then I guessed I could at least try to kill time with Pesterchum.
  13. MM: That is what most people resort to, myself included.
  14. MM: Though usually spend more time stitching together outfits and new plush friends for Mr.Luci.
  15. GM: Since time is the only thing I am allowed to kill for now, I thought that I could waste some minutes with Luke's contacts list.
  16. GM: Mr. Luci... that is your plush demon, right?
  17. GM: Please, correct me if I am wrong. I don't remember all of Luke's conversations quite well.
  18. MM: Why yes, he is.
  19. MM: He's been in my possession as long as I can remember as well.
  20. MM: Luckily never around when disaster strikes, however.
  21. MM: I simply do not know what I'd do if he were to be damaged.
  22. GM: ...I see.
  23. GM: Heh.
  24. MM: I hope you are not tempted to try and wrench him from my hands.
  25. GM: No, of course not.
  26. MM: Otherwise I would have to rescue with, dealing justice with extreme prejudice.
  27. MM: *rescue him, pardonne.
  28. GM: After all, it is impressive to find somebody with such taste for demons.
  29. GM: Even if completely unrelated to me, I do feel flattered that somebody treasures a plush demon with such care.
  30. MM: Of course. He's like a real friend to me. A... Morality pet, if you will.
  31. GM: So you picked a demon as a morality pet, as you say it?
  32. GM: That is undoubtedly interesting.
  33. MM: Well, he's unique out of all my stuffed creatures.
  34. MM: Of which I have quite a menagerie.
  35. GM: I see.
  36. GM: What I deem interesting is the fact that from what I heard from Luke, you are not the sort of person to require a morality pet to remind you of a good side...
  37. MM: True.
  38. GM: Unless, of course, it reminds you of the opposite...
  39. MM: So I suppose the proper term for Mr.Luci is more of a 'Security Trinket', although it has not quite the same ring.
  40. GM: I see.
  41. MM: Hmm. Are you suggesting that I acknowledge that a darker beast lurks beneath the surface of my pale facade?
  42. GM: I have no need to suggest anything like that, miss LaMorte.
  43. GM: For there is.
  44. GM: Without a shadow of a doubt.
  45. MM: Hmm, then I shall love to hear under what circumstances such a beast would emerge from my soul.
  46. GM: As long as god does not live in you, every living being holds shadow deep within their hearts.
  47. MM: Yes, this is quite a true fact. It's the fact we have a shadow that proves us to be on this planet.
  48. MM: And the fact that we acknoledge them as a part of us is what makes us human.
  49. MM: *acknowledge, my pardons again
  50. GM: Exactly.
  51. GM: And you are entitled the right to make casual spelling mistakes.
  52. GM: English is not your main language, after all.
  53. MM: Ah, so you know of my French heritage?
  54. GM: Of course.
  55. GM: I am Luke, after all.
  56. MM: ... I see. I was unaware that his condition extended into multiple personalities.
  57. GM: It does. However, you'll likely only have to deal with other two minds besides his original one.
  58. GM: One of them being me, and the other being the naive one, Lucius.
  59. MM: I see. I suppose the three of you make some sort of Freudian trio of Ego, Superego, and Id?
  60. GM: You could say that.
  61. GM: But even then, a lot of other comparisons could be made.
  62. GM: Chaos, order and balance.
  63. GM: Light, Darkness, and again, the neutral side.
  64. MM: I suppose you do yourself the honor of representing chaos?
  65. GM: Good, evil, and again, neutral.
  66. GM: Indeed I do.
  67. MM: I supposed as much.
  68. GM: However, some times the parts we all take on this play can be changed.
  69. MM: Interesting.
  70. GM: I usually work as the Superego, but when necessary, I can play the Id just as fine.
  71. GM: The same thing goes for order. Sometimes organization works as a better way to reach a certain goal.
  72. MM: Hmm. Interesting.
  73. GM: That Freudian trio approach to the situation is actually an interesting one.
  74. GM: The Superego is a separate entity in my case.
  75. GM: A separate mind, helping Luke's thinking by presenting other possibilities and plans.
  76. MM: Well, merci for complementing me on the idea.
  77. MM: But it is simply a logical conclusion.
  78. GM: However, to act as the Id is to act as one.
  79. GM: My own Id means nothing. I have to pull the right strings on Luke's Id to make it work.
  80. MM: Manipulation?
  81. GM: So I believe you can say that all in all, my working side is always the Superego, while I can simultaneously either that same part or another one on Luke's mind.
  82. GM: Oh, no. Just... suggestion.
  83. MM: Hopefully not suggestions that would cause... Poor desicions to be made.
  84. GM: Of course not.
  85. GM: His death is my death, after all.
  86. MM: And his heartbreaks....?
  87. MM: To take a poetic turn, of course.
  88. GM: And while I will very likely come back as the only ruler of another body, dying isn't exactly what I would call... pleasant.
  89. GM: His heartbreaks?
  90. GM: He is the one to suffer with those.
  91. MM: Hmm.
  92. GM: However, as much as I may dislike the kid, I must admit that he is no fool.
  93. GM: And besides, I am bound to his body.
  94. MM: That is undeniable.
  95. GM: Living with a depressed kid 24 hours a day is not a though that pleases me.
  96. MM: Oh, then you would get along with my nursemaid then.
  97. MM: I am quite sure she is annoyed by my rather apathetic mannerisms, bless her pretty young heart.
  98. MM: Though she would never voice such an opinion.
  99. GM: Oh, no. That is not the sort of depression I was referring to.
  100. GM: Apathy is actually a quite enjoyable quality from my point of view.
  101. MM: Oh, I see.
  102. MM: Excuse me a moment, my computer seems to be messing up.
  103. MM: I needs must restart.
  104. MM: My apologies.
  105. GM: No problem at all.

  111. MM: Ahem, again I apolize for the interruption.
  112. GM: Welcome back.
  113. MM: Where were we?
  114. GM: Apathy.
  115. MM: Ah, yes. I do have a rather bleak outlook on life.
  116. MM: But I cannot really help it, with my life.
  117. MM: However, I do find solace in my high status of living arrangements, and my copious amounts of fairy tales.
  118. GM: I see.
  119. GM: You were talking about your nursemaid, most precisely.
  120. MM: Yes, she is a very young thing, though I can't quite pin her age.
  121. MM: Her hair is white as starlight, for one thing.
  122. MM: And she has this ageless quality to her.
  123. GM: I see.
  124. GM: You talked about her likely annoyance by your apathy.
  125. GM: To which point I disagreed upon, since I for one consider apathy to be quite an ejoyable quality.
  126. MM: Yes, I suppose it can be, under the right pretenses.
  127. MM: Yet I hold such a cynical view, it must get grating to her after a while.
  128. GM: Would she like to swap places with me?
  129. MM: Oh, doubtful. She's more like an older sister to me, all in all.
  130. MM: ... Or, perhaps I wish she was my sister.
  131. MM: It is quite obvious such a woman as her could never be related genetically to someone like me.
  132. GM: Or could he?
  133. GM: She, I mean.
  134. MM: Quite impossible, our bodytypes and everything are completely different.
  135. GM: I am stuck at a human kid's body with his mind and an angel's.
  136. GM: Impossible stopped being a word long ago for me.
  137. MM: True. Makes one wonder what you would truly look like were you given your own body.
  138. MM: ... Perhaps the possibility from attaining a soul as well, no longer being a mere extension of Luke's psyche.
  139. GM: Oh, unlike Lucius, I already had plenty of previous bodies.
  140. MM: Previous bodies?
  141. MM: What could you possibly mean?
  142. GM: Previous lives, you see.
  143. GM: I live finding suitable human hosts to live in this world as I create chaos.
  144. MM: I find that a little hard to believe, when earlier you claimed to just be a split personality.
  145. GM: I am not part of his mind that was separated from the core.
  146. GM: I am another mind that became a separate part.
  147. MM: I see... I think.
  148. GM: Even then, I must admit that this is a new experience even for me.
  149. GM: It is the first time that a host keeps his mind and soul after I take over the body...
  150. GM: And not only did he manage to withstand it, there is also an angel in the same body.
  151. MM: ... Interesting. Then I suppose there is more to our dear Luke than what is on the surface.
  152. GM: Likely, yes.
  153. GM: The most intriguing thing about him is that while most people would freak out over having a demon and an angel at their bodies, he acts as if it's nothing.
  154. MM: How curious.
  155. GM: He talks casually with me and considers my advice, knowing that it could as well take him to hell.
  156. MM: Luke is getting more and more interesting by the second, as do you.
  157. GM: At the same time, he also holds conversations with Lucius quite easily, without coming off as evil or annoyed.
  158. MM: Hm. I don't believe I've met with Lucius just yet.
  159. GM: No need to.
  160. MM: Why?
  161. GM: Watch any kid's show. Take the purest, most naive of the main characters.
  162. GM: That's Lucius in a nutshell.
  163. MM: Ah, I see.
  164. MM: A blind optimist, I suppose?
  165. GM: Indeed.
  166. MM: And I suppose you have a more healthy grasp on the world?
  167. GM: It would depend on what you mean by healthy.
  168. MM: Heh, true. As I cannot say my mind is truly accurate either.
  169. MM: What with me thinking, even with my rather pampered life, I still wish to be a princess in a fairy tale.
  170. GM: Dreaming was never a problem, as long as it is not an impossible one.
  171. MM: Hmmm, what a poetic thing to say.
  172. MM: One might say you are trying to use honeyed words on me.
  173. GM: I am just saying that if you think that it is possible for you to build your fairy tale, then it is not a problem to plan it on advance.
  174. MM: Heh. Well, merci beaucoup, monsieur.
  175. GM: But unfortunately, I cannot be a prince.
  176. GM: I always liked the villains better in these stories.
  177. MM: I would think so, given your predisposition to claim yourself to be a demon.
  178. GM: Heh.
  179. MM: Though my fairytale would require a witch, not a devil.
  180. MM: Oh my. Look at the time.
  181. MM: I seem to have run past my deemed internet curfew.
  182. GM: I see.
  183. GM: Farewell then, miss LaMorte.
  184. MM: I must bid thee adieu for the night.
  185. MM: ... Sweet demon friend.
