  1. >Rage
  2. >Pure, unfiltered, rage.
  3. >That is what the Sith feeds upon, what drives them.
  4. >The origin of one's power, the source of one's greatness.
  5. >And Trixie was feeling it in droves.
  6. >Hatred flowed around her like a tidal wave, drowning her in emotion.
  7. >It flowed as she felt the disturbance in the Force.
  8. >As that apprentice of hers renounced her faith in the Dark Side, no doubt pleading for her life at the hands of a Jedi.
  9. >Whether or not she had ulterior motives on the decision did not matter, she had turned her back on her master.
  10. >She had to die.
  11. >Twilight knew her well, no doubt wondering what she'll do to save face when Trixie inevitably finds her.
  12. >Maybe they're preparing a trap for her at the very moment, maybe they're looking for her right now.
  13. >Trixie didn't care, she'll destroy them, and a hundred more Jedi if she had to.
  14. >But she also isn't stupid, the only trap being sprung is her own.
  15. >As she looked down from the hill top on a small village, she had the perfect bait to draw them in.
  16. >Igniting her dual sided lightsaber, Trixie began to march into the village.
  17. >The fools curiously approached her, ignorant to their fate.
  18. >Trixie quickly stepped towards the nearest villager and sliced across his torso in a sweeping arc with the rear of the blade.
  19.
  20. >Twilight sat nervously next to the Jedi, feeling a great swath of dark energy swirling around herself.
  21. >Ripples of hatred echoed through the Force, no doubt originating from her old master.
  22. >The Jedi Knight, Starlight Glimmer, assured her that together they could defeat the dark lord and atone for Twilight's sins.
  23. >She could only hope so.
  24. >"You're nervous." Starlight said, piloting the two seater craft.
  25. >"I am afraid." Twilight said.
  26. >Starlight gave her a warm smile. "There is no emotion, only peace."
  27. >Yeah, like that fucking helps.
  28. >"I don't get it." Twilight said with a shrug.
  29. >Starlight chuckled. "You must disconnect yourself from base emotions and attachments to truly embrace the depth of the Force."
  30. >"And how will that help us defeat my old master?"
  31. >"She uses the force for strength, we must do so as well."
  32. >"Then what makes Jedi and Sith so much different?" Twilight asked, confused.
  33. >Starlight thought for a moment.
  34. >"Jedi surrender themselves to the Force, becoming its instruments and using its power to carry out its will.
  35. >"With the Sith, they bend the Force to their will, treating it as a simple tool to make themselves more powerful."
  36. >Twilight crossed her arms and looked straight ahead, hoping Starlight's conviction will be enough to help her finally bring Trixie to her knees.
  37.
  38. >Trixie held out her hand and let loose a burst of electricity into an elderly man, bringing him to ground as he yelled in pain.
  39. >She had killed them all
  40. >Not just the men, but the women and the children too.
  41. >Yet her rage still boiled inside her like a whinny teenager whose mother was killed by savages.
  42. >The dark side swirled around her and the village.
  43. >The utter fear and shock of the massacre would mask her in the force, and no doubt throw off the Jedi.
  44. >As the man fell, she used her lighting to set fire to a home, igniting it into flame.
  45. >She took a moment to look around at the destruction she has caused, soaking in the carnage she has wrecked upon the innocent.
  46. >The Jedi will feel it, no doubt.
  47. >Suddenly, she heard the low whine of an approaching speeder.
  48. >Reaching out in the Force, she felt her apprentice, conflicted in alignment.
  49. >Her thoughts betray her, wondering if she's doing the right thing.
  50. >She has a lot of faith in her new companion, a shame it's all for naught.
  51. >But more importantly, Twilight was afraid to die.
  52.
  53. >The speeder came to a stop outside the village, Glimmer visibly shaken at the sight of the dead.
  54. >"What kind of monster could have done something like this?" Her voice shook.
  55. >"Lord Trixie." Twilight said, looking around the haze and the smoke.
  56. >But the smoke was also in the Force, cutting her senses, blinding her.
  57. >These people weren't murdered for fun, they were a distraction.
  58. >Twilight focused on her training in the Dark Side to try and see through the haze, but it was too thick, and she was too weak.
  59. >Trixie could be anywhere.
  60. >They could be walking into a trap and not even know it.
  61. >"We need to stop her." Shimmer said, drawing her lightsaber.
  62. >The purple blade extended outward, giving off a vibrant violet glow.
  63. >"Once we defeat her, you will have atoned for your sins as a Sith."
  64. >Twilight drew her own lightsaber, intent on covering Shimmer's back with the crimson blade.
  65. >They advanced into the ruined village, trying their best not to acknowledge the slew of dead, brutally killed and hacked apart.
  66. >Shimmer seemed upset, off put by all death and destruction.
  67. >Twilight actually felt bad for both Shimmer and the dead.
  68. >She believed in killing only those that needed to or deserved to die, but this?
  69. >This was way too much, even for her mast-
  70. >An object slammed into her side, flinging her into a hut that collapsed on top of her.
  71.
  72. >Trixie jumped at the unsuspecting Jedi as she attempted to figure out what had just happened.
  73. >Trixie ignited both ends of her saber staff and brutally came at the Jedi, her anger fueling her attacks.
  74. >The Jedi blocked well, emboldened to combat the murderer of the village.
  75. >Trixie pressed the advantage, pushing into the Jedi's defenses and prodding for weaknesses.
  76. >Twilight began to climb out of the rubble of the thatch hut, bringing her lightsaber to bare.
  77. >Trixie was not afraid, she did not fear her Apprentices pitiful use of Shien.
  78. >Twilight would block Trixie's attacks, their lightsaber crackling upon each impact, and then she would try to counter, taking a swing that Trixie would block and counter against, pushing Twilight back.
  79. >The Jedi held her own, falling upon Soresu to keep her safe, no doubt hoping Trixie would tire after her massacre.
  80. >The Jedi was wrong.
  81. >Frustrated with how long this was taking, Trixie took the perfect moment during an opening in Twillghts defense to Force Push her away.
  82. >As Twilight landed, Trixie swung more and more on the Jedi's defenses, and watched as her fear began to follow with Trixie's strengthened attacks.
  83.
  84. >Trixie fueled her rage into each swing, slicing with both blades to disorient the Jedi.
  85. >The Jedi was beginning to lose resolve, but still held her own against Trixie's onslaught.
  86. >The Jedi played her form well, no doubt well versed in the defensive stylings of lightsaber combat.
  87. >The two were deadlocked, evenly matched in the skills of the lightsaber.
  88. >Twilight began to rise, and Trixie knew she had to end this quickly.
  89. >Trixie made an attempted blow as a feint, and the Jedi fell for it, shifting her defense right were Trixie wanted them.
  90. >The Sith Lord delivered a swift kick right to the Jedi's neck, collapsing her trachea and forcing her to cough and hack.
  91. >"Glimmer, no!" Twilight yelled in defiance as Trixie brought her red blade down upon Glimmer's neck.
  92. >Her head fell to Trixie's feet as the decapitated body collapsed before her.
  93. >With a yell, Twilight called upon the Force to pull Glimmer's lightsaber to her, igniting both the blu blade and her own red one.
  94. >Twilight screamed as she charged towards Trixie, intent on avenging the death of her friend.
  95. >Exactly as she planned.
  96.
  97. >Trixie lifted up her saber staff and deflected the flurry of blows, both of them fueling their attacks with their hatred of the other.
  98. >Trixie kept a calm demeanor about her, doing her best to remain stoic under the duress of Twilights vicious attacks.
  99. >It wasn't long before they were held in a dead lock, trying to push the other away.
  100. >"You were always weak." Trixie taunted.
  101. >"You are a monster that deserves to be destroyed!" Twilight growled.
  102. >"How long was it before she had you begging for mercy?"
  103. >"It'll be you who begs for mercy!"
  104. >"I succeed at killing her when you failed."
  105. >Twilight pushed Trixie back with her lightsabers and came in for another flurry of blows.
  106. >Trixie, having analyzed Twilights attack pattern, noticed a single weakness in her style.
  107. >Trixie took a step forward to slice, and Twilight moved to block, instead opening up for a stab to her torso.
  108. >Twilight gasped as the red blade pierced through her defenses with the unfamiliar style.
  109. >She dropped the two lightsabers and fell to her knees.
  110.
  111. >Trixie stepped forward, picking up the lightsabers with the Force.
  112. >"You should have died at the hands of the Jedi."
  113. >Twilight said nothing, still stunned at her defeat.
  114. >Trixie grabbed her hair and forced Twiloght to stare at her.
  115. >"Gaze upon the face of the Sith Lord that defeated you."
  116. >"Let me be the last visage you ever lay eyes upon again."
  117. >Trixie kicked her to the ground and put a boot on her chest.
  118. >She watched as the light faded from Twilights eyes, and for good measure, removed her head as well.
  119. >Trixie looked at the carnage around her, and soaked it in.
  120. >The fires of hatred towards Twilights betrayal still flowed through her, but the act of vengeance has satisfied her for today.
  121. >She will find another apprentice.
  122. >A better apprentice.
  123. >Such is the way of the Sith, and of the Great and Powerful Lord Trixie.
