- >Rage
- >Pure, unfiltered, rage.
- >That is what the Sith feeds upon, what drives them.
- >The origin of one's power, the source of one's greatness.
- >And Trixie was feeling it in droves.
- >Hatred flowed around her like a tidal wave, drowning her in emotion.
- >It flowed as she felt the disturbance in the Force.
- >As that apprentice of hers renounced her faith in the Dark Side, no doubt pleading for her life at the hands of a Jedi.
- >Whether or not she had ulterior motives on the decision did not matter, she had turned her back on her master.
- >She had to die.
- >Twilight knew her well, no doubt wondering what she'll do to save face when Trixie inevitably finds her.
- >Maybe they're preparing a trap for her at the very moment, maybe they're looking for her right now.
- >Trixie didn't care, she'll destroy them, and a hundred more Jedi if she had to.
- >But she also isn't stupid, the only trap being sprung is her own.
- >As she looked down from the hill top on a small village, she had the perfect bait to draw them in.
- >Igniting her dual sided lightsaber, Trixie began to march into the village.
- >The fools curiously approached her, ignorant to their fate.
- >Trixie quickly stepped towards the nearest villager and sliced across his torso in a sweeping arc with the rear of the blade.
- >Twilight sat nervously next to the Jedi, feeling a great swath of dark energy swirling around herself.
- >Ripples of hatred echoed through the Force, no doubt originating from her old master.
- >The Jedi Knight, Starlight Glimmer, assured her that together they could defeat the dark lord and atone for Twilight's sins.
- >She could only hope so.
- >"You're nervous." Starlight said, piloting the two seater craft.
- >"I am afraid." Twilight said.
- >Starlight gave her a warm smile. "There is no emotion, only peace."
- >Yeah, like that fucking helps.
- >"I don't get it." Twilight said with a shrug.
- >Starlight chuckled. "You must disconnect yourself from base emotions and attachments to truly embrace the depth of the Force."
- >"And how will that help us defeat my old master?"
- >"She uses the force for strength, we must do so as well."
- >"Then what makes Jedi and Sith so much different?" Twilight asked, confused.
- >Starlight thought for a moment.
- >"Jedi surrender themselves to the Force, becoming its instruments and using its power to carry out its will.
- >"With the Sith, they bend the Force to their will, treating it as a simple tool to make themselves more powerful."
- >Twilight crossed her arms and looked straight ahead, hoping Starlight's conviction will be enough to help her finally bring Trixie to her knees.
- >Trixie held out her hand and let loose a burst of electricity into an elderly man, bringing him to ground as he yelled in pain.
- >She had killed them all
- >Not just the men, but the women and the children too.
- >Yet her rage still boiled inside her like a whinny teenager whose mother was killed by savages.
- >The dark side swirled around her and the village.
- >The utter fear and shock of the massacre would mask her in the force, and no doubt throw off the Jedi.
- >As the man fell, she used her lighting to set fire to a home, igniting it into flame.
- >She took a moment to look around at the destruction she has caused, soaking in the carnage she has wrecked upon the innocent.
- >The Jedi will feel it, no doubt.
- >Suddenly, she heard the low whine of an approaching speeder.
- >Reaching out in the Force, she felt her apprentice, conflicted in alignment.
- >Her thoughts betray her, wondering if she's doing the right thing.
- >She has a lot of faith in her new companion, a shame it's all for naught.
- >But more importantly, Twilight was afraid to die.
- >The speeder came to a stop outside the village, Glimmer visibly shaken at the sight of the dead.
- >"What kind of monster could have done something like this?" Her voice shook.
- >"Lord Trixie." Twilight said, looking around the haze and the smoke.
- >But the smoke was also in the Force, cutting her senses, blinding her.
- >These people weren't murdered for fun, they were a distraction.
- >Twilight focused on her training in the Dark Side to try and see through the haze, but it was too thick, and she was too weak.
- >Trixie could be anywhere.
- >They could be walking into a trap and not even know it.
- >"We need to stop her." Shimmer said, drawing her lightsaber.
- >The purple blade extended outward, giving off a vibrant violet glow.
- >"Once we defeat her, you will have atoned for your sins as a Sith."
- >Twilight drew her own lightsaber, intent on covering Shimmer's back with the crimson blade.
- >They advanced into the ruined village, trying their best not to acknowledge the slew of dead, brutally killed and hacked apart.
- >Shimmer seemed upset, off put by all death and destruction.
- >Twilight actually felt bad for both Shimmer and the dead.
- >She believed in killing only those that needed to or deserved to die, but this?
- >This was way too much, even for her mast-
- >An object slammed into her side, flinging her into a hut that collapsed on top of her.
- >Trixie jumped at the unsuspecting Jedi as she attempted to figure out what had just happened.
- >Trixie ignited both ends of her saber staff and brutally came at the Jedi, her anger fueling her attacks.
- >The Jedi blocked well, emboldened to combat the murderer of the village.
- >Trixie pressed the advantage, pushing into the Jedi's defenses and prodding for weaknesses.
- >Twilight began to climb out of the rubble of the thatch hut, bringing her lightsaber to bare.
- >Trixie was not afraid, she did not fear her Apprentices pitiful use of Shien.
- >Twilight would block Trixie's attacks, their lightsaber crackling upon each impact, and then she would try to counter, taking a swing that Trixie would block and counter against, pushing Twilight back.
- >The Jedi held her own, falling upon Soresu to keep her safe, no doubt hoping Trixie would tire after her massacre.
- >The Jedi was wrong.
- >Frustrated with how long this was taking, Trixie took the perfect moment during an opening in Twillghts defense to Force Push her away.
- >As Twilight landed, Trixie swung more and more on the Jedi's defenses, and watched as her fear began to follow with Trixie's strengthened attacks.
- >Trixie fueled her rage into each swing, slicing with both blades to disorient the Jedi.
- >The Jedi was beginning to lose resolve, but still held her own against Trixie's onslaught.
- >The Jedi played her form well, no doubt well versed in the defensive stylings of lightsaber combat.
- >The two were deadlocked, evenly matched in the skills of the lightsaber.
- >Twilight began to rise, and Trixie knew she had to end this quickly.
- >Trixie made an attempted blow as a feint, and the Jedi fell for it, shifting her defense right were Trixie wanted them.
- >The Sith Lord delivered a swift kick right to the Jedi's neck, collapsing her trachea and forcing her to cough and hack.
- >"Glimmer, no!" Twilight yelled in defiance as Trixie brought her red blade down upon Glimmer's neck.
- >Her head fell to Trixie's feet as the decapitated body collapsed before her.
- >With a yell, Twilight called upon the Force to pull Glimmer's lightsaber to her, igniting both the blu blade and her own red one.
- >Twilight screamed as she charged towards Trixie, intent on avenging the death of her friend.
- >Exactly as she planned.
- >Trixie lifted up her saber staff and deflected the flurry of blows, both of them fueling their attacks with their hatred of the other.
- >Trixie kept a calm demeanor about her, doing her best to remain stoic under the duress of Twilights vicious attacks.
- >It wasn't long before they were held in a dead lock, trying to push the other away.
- >"You were always weak." Trixie taunted.
- >"You are a monster that deserves to be destroyed!" Twilight growled.
- >"How long was it before she had you begging for mercy?"
- >"It'll be you who begs for mercy!"
- >"I succeed at killing her when you failed."
- >Twilight pushed Trixie back with her lightsabers and came in for another flurry of blows.
- >Trixie, having analyzed Twilights attack pattern, noticed a single weakness in her style.
- >Trixie took a step forward to slice, and Twilight moved to block, instead opening up for a stab to her torso.
- >Twilight gasped as the red blade pierced through her defenses with the unfamiliar style.
- >She dropped the two lightsabers and fell to her knees.
- >Trixie stepped forward, picking up the lightsabers with the Force.
- >"You should have died at the hands of the Jedi."
- >Twilight said nothing, still stunned at her defeat.
- >Trixie grabbed her hair and forced Twiloght to stare at her.
- >"Gaze upon the face of the Sith Lord that defeated you."
- >"Let me be the last visage you ever lay eyes upon again."
- >Trixie kicked her to the ground and put a boot on her chest.
- >She watched as the light faded from Twilights eyes, and for good measure, removed her head as well.
- >Trixie looked at the carnage around her, and soaked it in.
- >The fires of hatred towards Twilights betrayal still flowed through her, but the act of vengeance has satisfied her for today.
- >She will find another apprentice.
- >A better apprentice.
- >Such is the way of the Sith, and of the Great and Powerful Lord Trixie.
