- What if Exterminators are just stroggafied angels?
- Or maybe sinners, to keep the angels hands clean?

- We did that already. Twice I think.
- -
- different thread got me thinking about it, should have known It'd already been done.
- ---
- I wrote that idea hundreds of threads ago.
- If I remember correctly, it was about Angeldust getting redeemed and the characters reminising and talking about how he's in a better place intercut with him screaming in agony as he got turned into an Extirminator Strogg style.
- -
- Yeah I was in on that too. I think we tossed the idea around once before as well, but the exact nature of it escapes me.
- -
- Here's an idea I had written up, crossing over with Doom.
- >The great seal prevents any angel from setting foot in Hell, nor demon in Urdak. This begs the question of how exterminators can come into hell for the purges. The answer is that exterminators are not true angels, but constructs, built in a Maykr facility nestled in a pocket realm between Hell and Urdak, in the path of the energies boradcast from Nekravol and indeed powered by some of it. When not in use, most of the constructs are on standby, while others patrol the edges of Urdak for any unwelcome visitors.
- >Would make for a great level in the game, being forced to make a stop in the Exterminator Production and Maintenance Facility before reaching Urdak. Having to fight your way through a nearly limitless army of exterminators being built and rebuilt as you're shooting them. Mechanics could include crippling and destroying power and production facilities to keep yourself from being overwhelmed. The end would include a boss, a massive Maykr construct built by the AI overseer which is the real target. You'll be needing to fight and destroy the machine over and over while doing damage to the AI's critical systems to destroy it and finally finish the level. In fact, such a boss fight could be the entire level, coming into play midway through. Rip and tear until it is done, indeed.

- The following is an excerpt from a holo-recording of a conversation between Dr. Samuel Hayden and the demon identified as Alastor:
- >"We have been allied for some time now. I knew who you were the moment you first set foot in our world, and what you could become to us. I brought you to my office and showed you everything we could offer. Where would either of us be now if I had not the foresight to broker our deal. Heh, I suppose our 'gifts' are owed to you now. We will repay you for all this arrangement has granted us both, especially the sarcophagus, it's contents may one day save us all."
