  22. 06[18:41] * @Malachi leads them into the umbra, but not the reflection of the Caern they were expecting. They find themselves on the side of a mighty mountain, the path they are on is slim and winding right into the side of the rocks. When the Legend steps through last, he silenty turns around and starts down the side of the Mountian.
  23. 06[18:44] * Dimitria wasn't expecting this scenery. She blinks up at the mountain above and below them, then looks over towards Malachi and the rest of those present. Suddenly glad she chose this hoodie. Tucking her hands into the pocket in front and starts to follow.
  24. [18:45] <Dealgan> Stepping through into the umbra, Dealgan would glance around at his surroundings. He would smile, enjoying the mountain scenery so far as he followed the Alpha. Grand scenes of nature such as these were of appeal to him, as was the challenge of safely hiking down that narrow path.
  25. 06[18:45] * Draka nods to Dimitria as she sidles into place, checking everyone makes it through safe, and that any elder, infirm members of their group can manage the terrain with their cane <.<

  27. 06[18:45] * `Liam continues following the group his Shotgun ready as he looks around keeping his gaurd up as he is keeping very
  28. [18:46] <Natasha`> A little ball of burning flames would appear beside the ahroun as she stepped through the other side, her eyes scanning over the vast mountain side. Inhaling on her cigarette for a moment she would adjust her gear again before following after the Legend, motioning the other Fianna to join up with herself.
  29. [18:46] <Kazumi> "With light that on the mountains soar, a dusky flame on tranquil shores; Kindling the summits as they grow, In audience to the skies that call, Ineffable in rest and all." She murmurs. "William Renton, 1893."
  30. 06[18:46] * Maeve[HS] would move to catch up with Natasha, having brought nothing but her claws.
  31. 06[18:46] * SNB looks around finding himself in a different world. He immediately gets a bead on the terrain and area.
  32. 06[18:47] * Pierce uses his staff to brace himself as he follows Malachi down the mountain. He naturally moves closer to Dimitria, following the elder Philodox through the treacherous terrain.
  33. [18:47] <Shiloh> Those who have seen Charlotte's Web might remember the song with the rat, at the fair, when he sings about a smorgasbord. For Shiloh, it's a moment something like that. His ears perk with surprise and his nose immediately starts working. It's a happy moment for him. Oh, sure, he knows he has to be serious, but as they make their way downhill, he sniffs the path.
  34. 06[18:48] * Dimitria activates heightened senses, saying nothing for the moment just letting Malachi guide them down the path as she takes in their surroundings.

  36. 06[18:49] * Naze looks suprisingly different now here in the umbra, though her face is no less aged, her hair is the dark black of her youth with bands of slowly changing color from the top of her head, reminicent of the 'aura' of color that once surronded her, and shifting rainbow hues of Ark (riding on her back). Her youthful jade eyes seems to swirl with glowing aurora in their depths, the
  37. 06[18:49] * Naze iris seemlingly totally encircled with a thin band of silver tonight.
  38. 06[18:50] * Naze takes up the rear of the group as they travel the thin path
  39. [18:50] <Dealgan> Moving with Natasha, Dealgan used his spear like a walking cane as he went along. Disallowing the view from distracting him, he would keep his eyes and ears peeled for anything amiss on their path.
  40. [18:52] <Shiloh> Shiloh makes his way to the back of the group, too. Naze shouldn't have to walk alone, but it also gives him more time to walk with nose down and enjoying the scents of their walk. He's careful not to get in her path, though. Likely, she'd smack him with that cane if he did
  41. 06[18:53] * @Malachi keeps up his solid pace, not forcing them to double time, but not slowing down either. They reach the bottom of the moutian and find themselves in an overgrown grove of trees. The old Strider picks his way carefully, moving between the trunks, until he makes an abrupt turn left, leading the garou and kin into a swamp. He is walking on the water, while the rest of the group finds
  42. 06[18:53] * @Malachi themselves hip deep in it.
  43. 01[18:53] <@Malachi> The heat of this place hits them like a wall, full of the scent of all the stages of life, a while scent that gets in the nostrials and doesn't let go.
  44. 06[18:55] * Draka walks with the group, also keeping his eyes out for trouble, staying near his pack Alpha, grunting as he wades through the murky swamp
  45. [18:56] <Dealgan> Dealgan would grimace at the sudden scents of the swamp, his nostrils caught off guard as they arrived. Even through the water he kept pace with Natasha, keeping his spear held high so as to not risk rusting it on the water.
  46. 06[18:56] * Pierce holds his staff and bag up over his head as they descend into the hip-deep swamp, trudging through the muck. Even as they move through the powerful smelling bog, Pierce smiles as he takes in the sight of the spirit world around him.
  47. 06[18:56] * SNB sniffs the air, thinking as he looks out over following a mountain with a swamp.
  48. [18:56] <Dimi[HS]> A group wading through swamp water and muck is -not- a quiet thing. So her eyes are even more alert. Checking their flanks and even above them. Grimicing each time she feels the mud seep into her boots and try to pull them from her feet.
  49. [18:57] <Natasha`> The muck of the swamp and his sudden left turn made her brow rise, but she made no comment, merely trudging along behind the Legend with hard movements of her body to keep from getting sucked down. Her shotgun, lifted above the waterline. Her own eyes flicking about to watch and listen as they trudged along
  50. [18:58] <Naze> Seeing the others go hip deep, Naze activates flight and sort of glides over the muck like a wraith, keeping a lookout at the rear.
  51. 06[18:58] * Kazumi considers using her magic, but decides against it in favor of keeping as much power as possible for later.
  52. [18:58] <Shiloh> Shiloh shifts up when they get to the swamp, so that he doesn't drown. He could swim, but walking is easier.

  54. 06[18:59] * Maeve[HS] stayed in the front of the group, keeping her footing as best she could while moving through the swamp.

  56. 01[19:02] <@Malachi> As they pass through the swamp, a few snakes swim by, and those who have an eye for such things can place them somewhere in south americia. Those with heighten sense will get the feeling that nothing here has taken much not of you. Their leader keeps walking silently, his steps causing ripples on the water when he suddenly stops and turns back, walking down the line.
  57. [19:03] <Dimi[HS]> She stops in her tracks as Malachi turns on a dime. Looking up at him with obvious confusion and looks around them trying to figure out why he is changing direction again.
  58. 06[19:04] * Draka stops a well, glancing to Malachi, but focusing more on their sorroundings
  59. 06[19:05] * Pierce almost bumps into Dimi, but he manages to stop in time, looking past her up to Malachi.
  60. 06[19:05] * SNB hasn't been to South America before, but has trundled through swamps and avoided snakes. He keeps a watch out, looking for signs of potential territory of another... not wishing to impose on Mokole who don't know them.
  61. 01[19:06] <@Malachi> As The legend reaches the end of the group he starts to fade from sight.
  62. [19:06] <Dimi[HS]> "Are we.. here?" she looks around the swamp and just moves to get out of the water if there is a shore.
  63. [19:07] <SNB> This is where we figure the rest out. Any scent markers?
  64. 01[19:07] <@Malachi> There is no nearby shore, but there are plenty of trees to climb up on.
  65. [19:08] <Draka> "Did Malachi turn into a ragabash without anyone noticing?"
  66. [19:08] <Dealgan> Dealgan would blink as Malachi disappeared, then glance around at his surroundings.
  67. [19:09] <Dimi[HS]> "Fucking old man.." she mutters under her breath and just reaches up to one of the trees and drags herself up onto its elevated roots and looks to Naze. "Check above us for anything?"
  68. 06[19:09] * Pierce follows Malachi with his eyes, smiling a little as he fades from sight. "Have a little faith," he says, giving Dimitria a gentle nudge as she moves toward one of the trees.
  69. 06[19:09] * Maeve[HS] comes to a halt when Malachi vanishes, furrowing her brow and looking around.
  70. 06[19:10] * SNB looks around, looking for any signs of territorial markers.
  71. 06[19:11] * `Liam continues moving with the group his eyes scanning the area as he keeps close to the Ahrouns for protection
  72. [19:11] <Natasha`> As Mal turned around and just seemed to vanish without warning, Tash's brow rose for a moment. The floating fireball seeming just as confused as she was. Inhaling on her cigarette for a moment she muttered briefly to herself. "Maeve, Dealgan, Liam, eyes up." She looked to her tribemates simply, raking the slide on her shotgun. Nothing seemed to be paying attention to them now, but that
  73. [19:11] <Natasha`> could change in a heartbeat.
  74. 06[19:13] * Naze frowns as she watches the legend start to fade moving after him a few feet and looks around again, rising up to gain a little altitude. "This place is soft.. like it shouldnt be here.." she says " A.. place inbetween places."
  75. [19:13] <Dimi[HS]> "What the fuck.." she points in the drection Malachi was walking. "He is over there.. in a fucking desert!" pointing that way.
  76. [19:14] <`Liam> "Follow his tracks"
  77. 06[19:14] * Pierce furrows his brow slightly, and then nods as Dimitria speaks. "Yes. I see it too. Retrace his steps?"
  78. 06[19:14] * `Liam says as he walks the exact steps Malachi just took
  79. 06[19:15] * Maeve[HS] looks at Natasha, then begins to look around, keeping her eyes peeled for anything.
  80. 06[19:15] * Draka waits to help Dimi down, before follow the others when they start following Malachi's tracks
  81. 01[19:15] <@Malachi> Anyone who looks the way Dimitria points will see the desert and the moment they move in that direction the are surrounded by it. The sun high in the sky, the heat reflecting off the sands of the dune they find themselves on.
  82. [19:16] <Shiloh-C[HS]> Shiloh also looks around. And of course, he stays with his packmates if they follow.
  83. [19:16] <Dealgan> Looking out to the desert, Dealgan would blink "Well, a dry place, that'll be nice if we can get there."
  84. 06[19:16] * Pierce decides to take a little initiative and follows Liam as well. Eventually he will end up in the same dry, hot desert sands as everyone else.
  85. 06[19:17] * SNB makes sure Naze is coming with and follows along with those tracks.
  86. [19:17] <Kazumi> "Just once I'd like to have a mission to the dimension of fluffy mattresses and room service."
  87. 06[19:17] * Dimi[HS] is not happy, now she is steaming in a desert. She just follows the direction of Malachi cause he probably doesn't leave any tracks..
  88. 06[19:18] * Naze comes back down and moves after Malachi. "So, thats some of how you do it.. moving between the soft place of the world.." she mutters as she comes out into the windblown sands and sets back down, moving to catch up with the shadow.
  89. [19:18] <SNB> We'll find a mission to a business retreat just for you, Kazumi.
  90. 03[19:19] * Retrieving #is.Brigadoon modes...

  92. [19:20] <Natasha`> Well at least the muck was drying off as she and the other Fianna slipped into the desert, kicking the scum off her boots briefly enough.
  93. [19:21] <Kazumi> "We don't have that kind of time anymore." She said, sadly, and followed off after the others.

  95. 06[19:21] * Pierce shouldered his bag again, using his staff to help his footing through the sands. The blowing desert dust and the swamp muck was a terrible combination.
  96. 06[19:22] * @Malachi leads them down into a valley and into the ruins of some structure with massive bits of statues strewn around. They look like one would expect Egyptian gods to appear, except some of them are animals not native to the lands of Khem. He stops in the center of ruin and points to his right. "This is...the last...turn. I can...go no...further."
  97. 06[19:23] * Dimitria tugs off her hoodie and wraps it around her waist, tying her hair up in a pile on the top of her head just marching along, not sure what she hates more, sand or mud. She steps up into the ruins next to Malachi and looks in the drection he is pointing.
  98. 06[19:23] * SNB nods to Malachi (or his shadow) then starts looking over to the right and searching for territorial markers or other indications of people who might live there.

  100. 06[19:24] * Kazumi nods to Malachi, and looks off into the distance, and then back to Naze for a moment. She seems to ponder saying something, and then decides against it, looking back to where SNB is.
  101. 06[19:25] * Naze studies the ruins created when the world was younger, looking over the depictions and language, looking in the direction he points
  102. [19:25] <Shiloh-C[HS]> Shiloh drops back to wolf and starts to shake himself vigorously.
  103. 03[19:25] * Shiloh-C[HS] is now known as Shiloh[hs]
  104. 06[19:26] * Draka nods to Malachi, looking in the direction he points, ready to move with Dimitria when she sets off
  105. 06[19:26] * Pierce leaves his hoodie on, but he does unzip it, letting it flap a bit in the desert breeze as he follows Malachi. He bites his lip as the old wolf seems to struggle to carry on. "Thank you for showing us. We can take it from here," he said solemnly, inclining his head.
  106. [19:26] <Shiloh[hs]> L> "This wolf says the words fo thanks to the legend and Friend who is Malachi." He says, since it looks like the shadow of a shadow won't be going further with them
  107. 06[19:27] * SNB checks for any writing on the ruins.
  108. 06[19:27] * Dimitria looks at Naze. "I can fly ahead and scout it out?"
  109. 01[19:28] <@Malachi> Looking to the right, is a forest primeavel. Deep and dark and close, sun not reaching ground.
  110. 06[19:32] * Naze eyes the ancient forest, "Best not. Stick together." she says "Keep alert."
  111. 03[19:33] * Malachi is now known as IS-st
  112. 06[19:33] * Naze takes a few steps forward into the forest keeping her eyes open
  113. [19:33] <Dealgan> Looking to the forest, Dealgan would remark "Looks like a place we'll wanna keep our eyes sharp in, might be some nasties in there.."
  114. 06[19:33] * Dimitria stares at the Uktena for a moment, then looks to her pack and just starts walking in that direction. "Lets find a path."
  115. [19:33] <Natasha`> A short nod towards her Fianna, the ahroun would follow in behind Naze.
  116. [19:34] <SNB> A path would be useful. Starts looking.
  117. 06[19:34] * Draka nods to Dimi, takign her left flank, eyes flicking here and there ahead for signs of movement
  118. 01[19:36] <@IS-st> As the group steps into the forest, the first thing that strikes them is the stillness of the forest. No bird cry, no insect buzzing, no wind reaches them. Once everyone has moved into it, they can hear the faint sound of drums.
  119. 06[19:37] * Pierce decides to stick with Dimitria for the moment, ear perking at the sound of drums. He moves carefully, quarterstaff testing spots in front of him before stepping fully.
  120. [19:37] <Dealgan> Dealgan would tense up at the quiet, the drums ominous amongst the dead still. Keeping near Natasha, he would ready his spear and keep sharp.
  121. 06[19:37] * Maeve[HS] stays close the other Fianna, keeping her eyes and ears peeled. When the drums become audible, she turns her head in their direction, shifting up to glabro.
  122. [19:40] <Natasha`> Hearing the drums, the stillness of the forest, Natasha's eyes would narrow slightly. Flowing herself to crinos as she shouldered her shotgun drawing the bearded axe as thick bands of thick leather like hide spiderwebbed along her back then along her arms. Her little fire ally remaining nearby yet silent.

  124. 06[19:40] * SNB listens to the drums, trying to sense their pattern and if they're a mode of linguistic communication.
  125. 06[19:41] * Shiloh[hs] 's ears perk and his tail slowly rises. He pauses every couple of steps to listen. Not only at the drums, but also at the forest around them.
  126. 06[19:41] * Dimitria makes a little whistle noise at Draka and Shiloh and motions to the trees as she starts to use them as cover, moving towards the sound of the drums. She pulls on one of the glyphs on her forarm and drags out her longbow and quiver. Sliding the arrows on her back as she keeps hunkered down to use any follage as her cover between trees.
  127. [19:42] <Dealgan> Dealgan followed suit, shifting into his war form to prepare for a coming threat.
  128. [19:42] <Naze> "This is another soft place.." she says pushing ahead carefully though the forest but occasionally looking back over her shoulder
  129. 01[19:42] <@IS-st> The drums seems to be coming from a drum circle, their patterns are those of music. As they move forward the Garou and kin with gnosis can feel the edge of the bawn.
  130. 06[19:43] * Draka nods to Dimi, easing lower as he stalks along, spear readied as he moves off through the trees
  131. [19:43] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh turns to blink at Dimitria. Yes, those are definitely trees. He keeps an eye on them. He only has one eye. Okay, he just stays alert
  132. 06[19:43] * SNB looks to Naze. "Shall we howl to announce ourselves?"
  133. [19:43] <Dimitria> Once she feels the sensation of a bawn she stops and looks to Naze.
  134. 06[19:44] * SNB readies to do just that if he doesn't sense a reason not to.
  135. [19:45] <Pierce> "We certainly should," Pierce pipes up with a nod.
  136. 03[19:45] * Dealgan is now known as Dealgan-C
  137. [19:47] <Kazumi> "Just remember to trust nothing. Carens get lost for a reason, and whatever looks like one of us, may be one of something else."
  138. 06[19:48] * Naze nods and she shifts to Crinos <G> "I am Naze Alzahim: Athro, Ragabash of the Uktena! I humbly request entry for me and mine!"
  139. 03[19:48] * Naze is now known as Naze-C
  140. 06[19:48] * Tash-C-BoS would glance her muzzle to naze for a moment, motioning Maeve and the other Fianna closer. But the ahroun remained ready to pounce if the situation changed.
  141. 06[19:49] * SNB not getting any reason not to lets out with a howl of introduction.
  142. 06[19:49] * Dimitria nods as Naze announces their presence. Looking inward to listen for a response. "Doesn't matter if their GPS lost signal and they ended up here.. we Respect the Territory of Another." she says under her breath.
  143. 01[19:50] <@IS-st> Another howl answers her a few moments later, the drums going still. "I am Conner Ryhes, Athro Ahroun of the Fianna, Warder for the Sept of Dark Woods. Stay there and we will come to you."
  144. 06[19:50] * Kazumi shifts up as well, using her magic, of course, but the end result is the same.

  146. [19:50] <Dealgan-C> Dealgan moved next to Tash, holding his spear up in one hand like a walking stick so as to not look threatening for the moment.
  147. 06[19:50] * Draka stays near Dimitria, not letting up his wary, guarded stance..just because they say they're a certain person, doesn't mean they are

  149. 06[19:51] * SNB tilts his head.
  150. [19:51] <Pierce> "If we announce ourselves, there may be a fight. If we enter an unknown Sept unnanounced, a fight is certain."

  152. [19:52] <Tash-C-BoS> (G)"Especially a lost Fianna sept Pierce."
  153. 06[19:53] * Maeve[HS] steps over to Natasha, shifting up to crinos and keeping her gaze on the sound of drums.
  154. 06[19:53] * Kazumi-C nods in agreement to Draka's suggestion/question.
  155. 01[19:54] <@IS-st> It takes a few minutes for the wolf pack to converge on the group. About 5 from the front and another 7 or 8 in a wide circle around them. They all look to be scarred in some way. The leader stands up into homid form, his face a road map of scars. "Who howled?"
  156. [19:54] <Kazumi-C> "Septs of the Dark Woods... does that name rings any bells to anyone?"
  157. 06[19:55] * SNB steps forward. "I am Seriously No Bullshit, Athro Galliard of the Bone Gnawers. My Yuff here is Tautology, Athro Ragabash of the Uktena. We howled."
  158. 03[19:55] * Dealgan-C (Dealgan@wt4-29-893-395-61.compute-3.amazonaws.com) has joined #is.Brigadoon
  159. 06[19:55] * Dimitria looks over at the group as their welcoming party arrives. "This is the moment all of you shut the fuck up unless..." she stops and looks at SNB and frowns. "Directly spoken to."
  160. 06[19:56] * Kazumi-C steps back to make sure she's not in the way of the three Fianna with them, and remains the fuck shut up.
  161. 06[19:56] * Naze-C shifts to homid too <G> "I did." she says with a genial and curious smile
  162. 06[19:56] * Pierce follows Kazumi's lead, the young Fang finding his quiet as he looks around at the surrounding pack.

  164. 06[19:57] * Draka stands silent, head turning to he can keep the onces forming a semi circle behind them in his peripheral vision, a few at a time
  165. [19:57] <Tash-C-BoS> Spinning her axe between her claws for a moment it was set to her hip, crossing her arms over her chest for a moment looking over her Fianna 'cousins' for a moment with a flick of the ears.
  166. [19:57] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh listens, but doesn't speak. Nope. He keeps quiet nd watches the wolves.
  167. 01[20:00] <@IS-st> The warder looks at her, casting his eyes up and down her form. He nods and looks at those around him, recieving some unspoken signal from them before he looks back at Naze. "Well met then. We do not get many travlers by our home. If you come in peace, you will be welcome."
  168. 06[20:01] * Dimitria slides her bow over her back. Letting the ranking garou talk.
  169. [20:04] <Naze> <G> "We come in peace." she nods <G> "We have traveled far across broken lands on a quest to aid a Legend."
  170. 06[20:04] * SNB pauses...
  171. 01[20:06] <@IS-st> "Well now...that sounds like a tale. Come, we are sharing dinner. You can eat with us, meet the Alpha and tell your story." he gestures them onto the bawn, the wolf pack moving to follow them at their side.
  172. 06[20:07] * Kazumi-C resumes her human form, and walks... after the others start walking, and murmurs something to Dimitria.
  173. 06[20:08] * Draka waits on Dimi, then walks in with her and Shiloh
  174. 06[20:10] * Kazumi-C nods, happy with Dimitria's answers.

  193. [20:23] <Dealgan> Dealgan kept quiet as well, glancing at his surroundings with a smile and taking a liking to the style of the Caern's style. A home among the woods, far from the noise and pollution of cities, such sweet serenity.
  194. 06[20:24] * Pierce looks up at the Alpha, and then looks over to Natasha, not saying a word.
  195. 06[20:24] * Pierce finds his voice after a little while. "Ah, yes, thank you for your hospitality Bryan-rhya."

  198. 01[20:26] <@IS-st> (For those who passed): So as you are looking around, you can see this is a mixed sept, mostly Fianna, but many of the other tribes are represented. Its not until you take in the whole group that anything out of place sinks in. Their pure breed seems...muddled somehow. Likat the Fianna with the Touch of Shadow Lord to them, or that Get with a hint of Strider.

  200. 01[20:27] <@IS-st> The garou make room for the at the fire and with a nod from the Alpha two younger Fianna hop up to start grabbing slabs of meat from teh fire to place of trencher of bread and offer them to the members of Iron Secrets.

  202. 06[20:29] * Naze moves to have a seat "Indeed. A lost Great Caern.. Though they may be boring to you, we would love to hear a tale of how that came to be, or how you have all seemed to thrive down here.." she says casting an eye around them "But As we are your guests we will happlily tell you our story."
  203. 06[20:30] * Dimitria looks over at SNB, and then back to the others present to see if they brought any other Galliard with them.
  204. 06[20:30] * SNB moves to accept a bit of bread, but does not eat it yet.
  205. [20:31] <Dealgan> Looking to the Alpha, Dealgan would remark "A nice home ye have here in the woods, quaint an' close to nature." he would accept a piece of meat with thanks, though without yet eating it.

[20:31] <Natasha`-BoS> Inhaling for a moment she would roll her fingers through her hair, the fireball floating beside her coming to land on her shoulder flaring up turning into a little black and yellow salamander. But her eyes remained fixed on the alpha, curiosity in her eyes all too evident
  207. [20:32] <Kazumi-C> Someone had to eat first, and so she decided to take that plunge, waiting for her to be served, and promptly digging into the meal with a nod of thanks to whomever served it to her.

  213. 06[20:34] * Pierce gratefully takes some of the offered food, folding the piece of bread in half and taking a bite as he looks around, listening to the others speak. He seemed to be listening carefully for something.

  215. [20:35] <Natasha`-BoS> Looking towards Dimitria for a moment she returned her eyes towards Bryan. "My name is Natasha Catherine O'Donnell. Daughter of Bryan Gnaws the Spine 'Wolf' O'Donnell. Of course it is a bit of a surprise to find someone here who has the first and last name of my late father here Rhya. But if you wish a story-" She paused as Naze spoke up again
  216. 06[20:36] * Shiloh[hs] Shiloh isn't hungry. He contents by relaxing and watching the strangers. Studying their scars.
  217. 06[20:39] * Kazumi-C pauses and looks at her meat a bit, and then keeps on eating after, pausing again as she thinks.
  218. 06[20:40] * Kazumi-C puts down her meat, slowly.
  219. 06[20:40] * SNB takes a sniff of the area, taking in all the scents... surreptitiously getting a smell of what the meat is... and how closely it might taste of pork.
  220. 01[20:41] <@IS-st> Bryan looks between the two women and then back to Natasha, while the others in the sept seem to focus on Naze.

  222. [20:42] <Naze> "Such is the will of Gaia. We have come to you on a sacred jorney to retrive one last item on behalf of a Legend Theurge, to enact a great rite to keep us in the fight. We seek the Electrum Quill of Pocupine."
  223. [20:42] <Dealgan> Kazumi's words would hit Dealgan, and his eyes would widen a bit. A question would be implanted in his head, the young theurge wondering "No animals....but where does the meat come from?"
  224. 06[20:42] * SNB looks over the utensils that may have been provided with the meat, casually appreciating their craft and what they're made of.
  225. 06[20:43] * Natasha`-BoS glances to Kazumi for a moment, her expression remaining mostly neutral, then turned back to 'Bryan' for a moment.
  226. 06[20:43] * Pierce brings the folded piece of bread and meat to his mouth again, and then lowers it, looking curiously to Dealgan.
  227. [20:44] <Dealgan> Glancing at Pierce, Dealgan would say "I wonder where they get this meat from....there's not a living t'ing to be found anywhere outside this Caern..."
  228. [20:45] <Kazumi-C> "Themselves. The scarring, the bloody clothing. They going into Garou form, slicing each other up, and regenerating it."

  231. 06[20:46] * Kazumi-C isn't whispering, but she's not talking over Naze either.
  232. 06[20:47] * Pierce just slips that folded piece of bread and meat into his hoodie pocket.

  234. 06[20:47] * Dimitria was about to take another bite and just drops it in her plate and looks at Kazumi and then over at Bryan. Standing up.

  236. 01[20:48] <@IS-st> Bryan nods and looks back at Naze. "Well, we know Porcupine well. He comes in the morning, if you would like to wait. We have cabins you can use."
  237. 06[20:51] * Kazumi leans over some so she can look down the table at Bryan. "Excuse me.... now that we know how to get to you, perhaps we could come again sometime? We could bring animals. Chickens, cows, deer, other prey species?"
  238. [20:52] <Natasha`-BoS> Seeing no response from Bryan to her comment she would return her glance to Kazumi then to Naze after that, briefly drawing her fingers over Nade's chin as she listened for a moment.
  239. 06[20:52] * SNB splits his attention, observing Bryan and the Bone Gnawers that he can spot.
  240. [20:53] <Dealgan> Dealgan would pause for a moment, taking in a deep yet quiet breath in order to contain his shock and not make a scene. His shock was initially not one of judgement toward this group, given the lack of prey here he couldn't fault them for what looked like a decision based out of need. Still, the situation here was enough to quickly make the place

  242. 06[20:54] * Naze glances to Kazumi and then Dealgan. She glances to her food, untouched thus far as she had spoken, and then back to the Alpha. "Very kind of you. Perhaps there is something we can offer in exchange for your kindness? Some my people know some peculiar rites, it comes with the teritory of living with a legend theurge. From using fire to help enact dramas, to a rite that can double

  244. 06[20:55] * Dimitria has to turn and just walk away from the meal.
  245. 01[20:56] <@IS-st> Bryan nods to her. "That would be excellent. I'm sure all of us here would be greatly pleased to learn such." He looks at Kazumi and shakes his head. "No need. We have all we need to eat here." Then finally he looks back to Natasha. "I suspect that would make us kin somehow, but we have been here a long time, so if you do not mind, I will call you sister."
  246. 06[20:57] * SNB looks about, taking note of where the Sept's attention focuses. He pauses to note that Bryan did respond to other people.
  247. 06[20:57] * Kazumi looks.... confused at his refusal. Maybe she's just flat out wrong, but she doesn't think she is. She sure would like to be, though.
  248. 01[21:00] <@IS-st> A horn sounds in the Distance and They all look up, standing to turn and head fro the cabins. Bryan looks at the group. "Our appoligies, but we must be inside now. Can we show you the cabins?"
  249. 06[21:01] * Kazumi cleans up around her area, just to be polite as a guest, and stands up, ready to be shown to the cabins.
  250. [21:01] <Naze> "Sure.. may we ask what is happening however?"
  251. [21:01] <Dealgan> Standing up, Dealgan looked toward the sound of the horn, now averted from his consideration toward asking about this Caern's 'hunting' practices. Looking to the Alpha, he would nod and wonder what mandated their entry inside.
  252. 06[21:02] * Pierce slumps his shoulders a little, looking around at his companions with an exasperated expression. As the horn sounds, Pierce rises to his feet and picks up his staff again.
  253. [21:02] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh also stands up. He moves to join his Alpha, looking up at Dimitria for a moment.
  254. 06[21:02] * SNB stands up, listening.
  255. 06[21:02] * Dimitria just stands there crossing her arms over her chest. She doesn't look like she is going anywhere without a good explaination.

  257. 06[21:04] * Natasha`-BoS would lean over and nudge Dealgan and Maeve for a moment, speaking low to them.

  264. [21:08] <Kazumi> "Perhaps we should honor their ways, Naze." Kazumi looked at Bryan and asked. "You have some place all of us might sleep together?"
  265. [21:08] <Dealgan> Staying near Natasha, he would lean close to her and whisper.
  266. [21:08] <Naze> As Alpha of a pack to Night itself? No. But I will differ to your wisdom."
  267. [21:09] <Natasha`-BoS> "Right there with you Dimi." The Fianna ahroun glanced to the Fury with a firm grunt and nod.
  268. 06[21:09] * SNB smiles to the Sept at large, incidentally checking their reaction to that news.
  269. 06[21:10] * Dimitria nods back to Natasha. She watches the Alpha still.
  270. 01[21:10] <@IS-st> He nods. "Come we have a long Hall." He starts to direct them across the sept, to a larger hut, easily 4 times the others, with another one beside it, but those doors are bared. "Please, enjoy your night. Listen for the Morning horn."
  271. 06[21:10] * Kazumi bows her head. "Thank you." She will step in.
  272. 06[21:10] * Pierce furrows his brow. He looks like he very badly wants to speak, but having no rank he keeps it inside, following the others.
  273. 06[21:12] * Shiloh[hs] sighs as they're shown a place to get locked in for the night. No songs. No dancing. No telling stories or enjoying the experience of meeting a new sept. Just a long night with increasingly hungry - and therefore grumpy - people he already knows. He studies the Sept before he also steps inside.
  274. 06[21:13] * Kazumi waits for the door to close before speaking further.
  275. 06[21:15] * Naze finaly steps into the hall and looks inside the room and waits a moment until their escort is gone. She nods to the group and she sighs
  276. [21:15] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh suddenly stops, just outside. He stops and turns, staring toward the other cabin. The hackles rise on the back of his neck.
  277. 06[21:15] * `Liam moves to the long house looking around as he keeps his eyes peeled.
  278. [21:16] <Shiloh[hs]> L> "Blood. Terror also."
  279. 06[21:16] * SNB takes in the details of the other cabins as he walks, nodding to acknowledge Shiloh's sense.
  280. 01[21:16] <@IS-st> The door is closed and a small fire starts up in a hearth at the far end, giving them a small bit to light.
  281. [21:16] <Shiloh[hs]> He's not moving a step closer inside, not yet. He's watching that other cabin. Ears perked. Listening now.
  282. 06[21:16] * Natasha`-BoS would be the last inside, pausing however as Shiloh paused, her eyes following his off to the side with a raised brow.
  283. [21:17] <Kazumi> "This place is sick. It reminds me of the Warren of Shining Wires. You pay for it. The food, the warren. But no one must ever ask where anyone was or speak of the wires. The whole place is snared, everywhere." She said, looking at SNB, who she was almost certain would get her reference.
  284. 06[21:17] * Naze pauses befors she does so and looks to Shiloh and then nods "That would be the slaughterhouse then.." she says quietly
  285. 06[21:17] * Naze examines the interior spaces of the long house critially
  286. 06[21:18] * Kazumi paces, anxious, agitated, completely on edge.
  287. 06[21:19] * SNB nods to Kazumi.
  288. 06[21:20] * Dimitria is pissed. "If they come in here to harvest more meat..." she just growls and leaves it at that.
  289. [21:20] <Dealgan> Dealgan had a brief peek around inside as well soon after entering.
  290. 06[21:20] * Pierce rubs the back of his neck, and pulls the wadded up bread and meat from his hoodie pocket after they get inside. Inside the folded-in-half sandwich was the piece he spat out. "Do we have any way to confirm our suspicions with this?"
  291. 01[21:21] <@IS-st> Iside the cabin they have been giver, which doesn't seem to have any way to bare the door, inside or out, is clean and neat, if lacking in bedding.
  292. 06[21:21] * Natasha`-BoS raises a hand to rest over Dimitria's shoulder. "You know as well as I do they're not gonna get the chance Dimi." The Fianna ahroun said firmly, giving a brief squeeze to the Philidox's shoulder before releasing. The salamander on her shoulder lazily licking his eye with his tongue.
  293. [21:21] <Naze> "Seriously and I will keep watch, We dont need sleep, and it will hopefully remain quiet."
  294. [21:22] <Kazumi> "I saw you save a piece of that meat, Pierce.... anyone have some method of identifying it in more detail?"
  295. [21:23] <Shiloh[hs]> L> "Dark. Why fear dark?" He shifts some, uneasy. And keeps sniffing the interior. Investigating the inside of this place
  296. [21:23] <Naze> "I wish Magdalene were here, she might use the 'eyes of time' on it."
  297. [21:23] <SNB> Did you taste it, Kazumi?
  298. [21:23] <Kazumi> "Also, Naze... I can astral project myself.... it's highly unlikely anyone or anything would notice me, and maybe I'll see what's in the dark, or what they are doing here?"
  299. [21:24] <Kazumi> "This place is just.... making my nerves raw. Something is wrong here. Gaia, I hope I'm wrong about every god damn thing I have said tonight."
  300. 06[21:24] * Dimitria just grunts at Natasha. She stops pacing and stares at the doors.
  301. [21:25] <Pierce> "I tasted it. Bland. Unremarkable. Not like anything I have ever had."
  302. [21:26] <Kazumi> "No animals around... yet they say they want none. Everyone is scarred with blood, and Garou regenerate. My mind just keeps running to the worst conclusion."

[21:26] <Naze> "I suspect that the 'dark' is either a euphimism, or its is something unique to the caern, much as Serpentine might be considered a Great Cae-.." she pauses and considers something and then continues "Another great caern, even a lost one, might have some highly unique power to it as well."
  304. [21:28] <Natasha`-BoS> Motioning her Fianna to one side of the area she would unsling her shotgun from her shoulder, raking the slide as she popped in her favorite round. Dragon breath. But her eyes focused on the door, listening to the others, just generally ready for anything right now.
  305. [21:29] <Shiloh[hs]> L> "Other cabin. Barred from... outside. Not inside."
  306. [21:29] <SNB> It means that Bryan has a reason to want this.
  307. [21:29] <Kazumi> "Well, the offer stands, I can check it out."
  308. [21:29] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh turns to consider the others, to see if anyone else finds this remarkable.
  309. [21:29] <Dealgan> Dealgan held his spear tightly, watching the door intently as he stood per Natasha's command. The thought of these garou coming to harvest their flesh in the night dominated his mind, putting him on edge.
  310. 06[21:31] * Naze looks to Kazumi and nods to her "If you would like to snoop astally, I am not opposed. I have half a mind to send Ark out under the veil as well."
  311. 06[21:32] * Kazumi nods, and finds someplace where she can sit down and begin her spellcasting.
  312. 06[21:32] * SNB keeps near the door, listening.
  313. [21:32] <Shiloh[hs]> L> "This wolf also will go. If is thing needing doing. We are Garou." He points out. He's never been afraid of darkness before.
  314. 06[21:33] * Pierce just moves to find a quiet place to sit, laying his quarterstaff across his lap, looking meditative. He did not seemed nearly as unsettled as his companions.
  315. [21:33] <Dimitria> "I think Kazumi is going out, in spirit, not body, Shiloh."
  316. [21:34] <Kazumi> After a bit, Kazumi's body just goes rag-doll. The body is there, but nobody is home.
  317. [21:38] <SNB> The Dark may mean more than just darkness. *puts his ear to the door directly*
  318. [21:39] <Naze> "Get some rest while you can my friends, we might need to 'bug-out' quickly."
  319. [21:39] <Dimitria> "You hear something?" looking to SNB and moving towards the door.
  320. 06[21:39] * Kazumi is gone for maybe two minutes, and lurches back up. She stands, take a few steps, and promptly vomits into a bucket.
  321. [21:40] <SNB> Absolutely nothing.
  322. 06[21:40] * Dimitria looks back towards Kazumi and arches a brow.
  323. 06[21:40] * Naze glances back to Kazumi "Kazumi.. are you alright?"
  324. [21:40] <Kazumi> "There's at least THIRTY bodies in that cabin. Strung up, gutted, harvested....fucking THIRTY!"
  325. [21:40] <Dealgan> Looking to Natasha, Dealgan would ask in a whisper "So I guess we shall wait here on guard till morn? I won't mind if so, better sleepy than served for breakfast..."
  326. 06[21:41] * Natasha`-BoS would glance to Dimi, then to Kaz as she pukes, idly lidding her eyes as her spiderwebbing leather like skin scrolled up her body.
  327. [21:41] <Dimitria> "Wait.. WHOLE bodies?" she unslings her bow again.
  328. [21:41] <SNB> Dealgan, what's your sense on the nature of this Caern?
  329. [21:41] <Kazumi> "Some of them have been skinned... I don't know what the hell is going on here. WHOLE bodies. Maybe the whole sept. I can go back and search more, but this seemed, you know... something worth saying as soon as I saw it."
  330. [21:42] <Kazumi> "Naze, unless you object, I'll do a more thorough scouting, but this seemed like something I should immediately bring back."
  331. 06[21:42] * Pierce quirks a brow at Kazumi and stands up, stroking his chin. He seems deep in thought despite the unerring news.

  333. [21:43] <Pierce> "Yes, Dave-rhya?" Pale blue eyes look up to the Athro.
  334. [21:44] <Dealgan> Dealgan would say "They're fuckin' driven insane by hunger....turned to cannibalism outta need thus losin' their sense! Look around...they're the only livin' t'ings here!" keeping in a whisper yet getting distressed in his tone.

  336. 06[21:44] * SNB looks to Dealgan. "Not the Sept, the Caern."
  337. [21:44] <Dimitria> "This place was recently cleansed.." she looks back to Naze. "Are we even sure this was Bryan's Caern?"
  338. 06[21:44] * Naze frowns and nods to Kazumi "Yes, thank you for letting us know." she looks in the direction of the shack and looks thoughtful "Then that might be.. hmmm A.. a wellspring?"
  339. 06[21:45] * Pierce rubs the back of his neck. "I am afraid we may be making many assumptions about our hosts, is all."
  340. [21:45] <SNB> A wise concern, Pierce.
  341. 06[21:45] * Kazumi will go back and resume her astral projection.
  342. [21:46] <Dealgan> "The Caern......wait a second. Oh gaia there might be a reason why the forest is devoid o' life. What if it's got some form o' corruption? Deep, hidden wit'in its center?"
  343. [21:46] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh moves over to be a pillow for Kazumi this time. So when her body goes rag doll, at least she's got someone there to support her.
  344. [21:47] <SNB> Don't think in terms of corruption just yet. Just give me your sense of the nature of the Caern itself.
  345. 06[21:48] * Pierce moves over to the door of the cabin they're all in, and presses on it gently. Just testing to see if it opens.

  358. 06[21:54] * Dimitria studies Pierce for a moment, then looks over at Dealgan and Liam. "What spirit resides in this Caern? Is it porcupine or another?"
  359. [21:54] <Pierce> "People can only lie if they answer questions," he says, flicking his eyes over toward Dimitria with a nod.
  360. 06[21:55] * Kazumi is gone for much longer this time. She jerks awake, but doesn't bang her head this time, thanks to Shiloh.
  361. [21:56] <Dimitria> ""I took note of that too.." she offers to Pierce, nodding at his perceptive observation.
  362. [21:56] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh watches Kazumi. In case she's about to get sick again. Prepared to dodge

  364. [21:57] <Dealgan> "I believe the Alpha mentioned Porcupine earlier...." Dealgan would reply, thinking for a moment "Dunno if I remembered wrong but I recall porcupine mentioned as 'providing' for them."

When I couldn't find anything else, I went into the dreams of one of them... a pureblood Shadow Lord, but with a touch of Child of Gaia. His dreams were.... horrible.   375. [22:00] <Naze> "That is poor manners Dimitria." she says and looks to Kazumi with a nod of thanks

  377. [22:00] <Dimitria> "So is serving up canibalism.." she says to Naze.

  379. [22:01] <Kazumi> "Nothing Liam... I scouted extensively, but didn't see anything.... which doesn't tell us much, but I didn't encounter anything, not even a hint of a presence."
  380. [22:01] <Dealgan> Dealgan nodded "I suspect possible corruption, o'course I'll be careful!" he would say, carefully reaching out to the heart.
  381. [22:02] <Dimitria> "Pierce.. are there ghosts here?"
  382. 06[22:02] * SNB obviously has an expectation, but looks to Pierce for his answer to that question.
  383. [22:03] <Naze> "We are also guests, and I am trying avoid offending our hosts and avoid ending up on the Menu." she says pointedly and sighs
  384. 06[22:03] * Natasha`-BoS exhales on her cigarette briefly, looking between them as they speak.
  385. [22:04] <Pierce> "It is the apocalypse. I see a hundred ghosts before breakfast," he says, looking around. He narrows his eyes a bit, trying to see if he can make anything out in the weeds of the Maelstrom.
  386. [22:04] <Naze> "All those scars.. That dream.." she says "Perhaps.. it is like the stories of old, when Gaia was still amoung us, in the days when the gauntlet was thin if there at all. Where the old werebears used to resurect heros?" she asks looking around.
  387. 06[22:05] * Kazumi thinks Natasha has the right idea, and lights up a cigarette to calm herself, taking a deep drag on it.
  388. [22:05] <Kazumi> "Dimitria... none of the bodies were in Garou forms, but that doesn't mean they weren't Garou, of course. Sorry I cannot be more specific."
  389. 06[22:06] * Pierce looks around a moment longer, rubbing his eyes and then just shaking his head. "It is strangely quiet here, come to think of it. The Dark Umbra, that is."
  390. [22:07] <Naze> "What if... Garou or Fera can be brought back whole by this Legendary Caern?" she asks
  391. 06[22:07] * SNB nods to Pierce.
  392. 06[22:08] * Dimitria looks back to Naze. Glancing to Dealgan then back to Naze. "What are you saying.. "
  393. [22:08] <Kazumi> "What are you saying, Naze? That there's some kind of cycle going on here. Some die to feed the rest, the dead come back, and the cycle repeats?"

  396. 06[22:08] * Pierce swallows a bit, looking up again. "May I make a suggestion?"
  397. 06[22:08] * SNB looks to Liam, that part surprising him.
  398. 06[22:09] * Dimitria frowns at Liam. "Buck.." she looks at Natasha. "Why would Buck deny his children food?"
  399. [22:09] <Dealgan> Dealgan would open his eyes, looking over to Liam "Papa Buck...??"
  400. [22:09] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh looks around toward the others. L> "This wolf would ask question."

"Could be as simple as this is a lost caern and his power isn't as strong here. Could also be that this place is a sort of punishment landscape for the Fianna. I don't know, I've never heard of this place before. What rattles me most,

  410. 06[22:13] * SNB turns to listen, again, to that complete absense of sound outside.
  411. [22:13] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh waits. Watching them. He wants to ask something, but won't yet

  413. [22:14] <Dimitria> Shiloh, speak up we aren't raising our hands."
  414. [22:14] <Naze> "Its an admitedly outlandish Theory, but here we are, in a Legendary umbral caren where they eat our own, looking for a item to help in a rite to stave off the very end times for a little longer."

  416. [22:15] <Natasha`-BoS> "No. It wasn't him. Pure breed is strong in the alpha, but I know my dad's face anywhere. It wasn't him." She shook her head again. Inhaling on her cigarette for a moment letting the smoke filter through her nose. "Still, worries me knowing an O'Donnell is a cannibal." At that she just went silent glancing to Naze after.

  420. 06[22:18] * Dimitria shakes her head at Pierce. "Yeah, you won't catch me asleep in this place. Sorry."

  422. 06[22:18] * Natasha`-BoS would shrug as she leaned against the wall, still petting her salamander with her fingernail. She wasn't going to sleep really, but she did close her eyes idly activating resist toxin in the event something tried to gas them in the middle of the night.

  424. 06[22:19] * Pierce opens his mouth to Dimitria as though he might respond, but he just nods, granting her point.
  425. 01[22:20] <@IS-st> The night is long and full of fitful sleep for those who manage it. The sun comes up in the east and finally a horn sounds in the distance announing their release from the Dark.
  426. [22:21] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh ends up keeping his question to himself. But that's alright. the night passes. He's mostly awake during it. But not out of worry. He just doesn't sleep much.
  427. 06[22:22] * Pierce sleeps -creepily- well. They might even have trouble waking him, but eventually he would get to his feet with his staff.
  428. [22:23] <Dealgan> Dealgan didn't sleep, the closest he got to it being when he sat down against the wall. The previous night's revelations and mentions of potential nightmares deterred him from any desire to sleep.
  429. 06[22:23] * Kazumi doesn't sleep at all, both because of what is going on, and the fact she has several highly explosive spells on overload in her brain, and she doesn't want to lose all that work.
  430. [22:23] <Natasha-BoS-RT> Funny enough, tash and her chaotic mind would manage some level of sleep, but as soon as the horn sounded she snapped awake, gripping her shotgun for a tense moment.
  431. 06[22:23] * Naze heads out, looking around curiously
  432. 06[22:24] * SNB immediately listens for any sounds following the horn.
  433. 06[22:25] * Shiloh[hs] almost immediately heads out as well, at the sound of the horn. He needs to find somewhere to hike his leg.
  434. [22:26] <Natasha-BoS-RT> Rising she would briefly tap Dealgan's shoulder as she moved behind Naze, slinging her shotgun over her shoulder. Nade, ever the faithful spirit remains on her shoulder.
  435. [22:27] <Dimitria> Takes a moment at the door to just scan the area outside. Looking for anything weird.
  436. [22:27] <Shiloh[hs]> And that done, he returns to look up at Naze. L> "This wolf would ask question now. Do we invite them to return with us when we go home? So they are no longer trapped in darkness?"
  437. [22:27] <Dealgan> Glancing at Natasha, he would say "Oh, you're awake. Ye sleep alright?"
  438. 06[22:27] * Dimitria just chuffs at Shiloh's question.
  439. [22:28] <`Liam> ::Note.. Liam SNORES...:
  440. 01[22:28] <@IS-st> As they go outside, they can see the member fo the sept gathering outside the door of the other Cabin. Bryan is there with a deer skull in his hands, and his knife on his belt.
  441. 06[22:28] * Pierce stretches a bit, and yawns, shouldering his messenger bag and picking up his staff.
  442. [22:29] <Natasha-BoS-RT> "Decent." She remarked simply, throwing an empty shotgun shell over at Liam to wake him up. But turned towards Bryan briefly.
  443. 06[22:30] * `Liam sits up streching his arms.. "Man that was a good restful nights sleep"
  444. [22:30] <Kazumi> "Naze.... I have a notion."
  445. 06[22:30] * Dimitria stops dead in her tracks and stares at Bryan.
  446. 01[22:30] <@IS-st> From the woods, comes a massive porcupine, as large as a garou in Hispo. It trundles up to the group looking briefly at the Iron Secret's garou and cocking his head.
  447. 06[22:30] * Naze nods "We can at least offer."
  448. 06[22:31] * SNB regards the porcupine carefully and respectfully, bowing to it.
  449. [22:31] <Kazumi> "Your pack sleeps during the day. If necessary, I can relay a message to one of your pack, in their dreams, who could wake up and relay it to Malachi. Astral projection would be easier.... but I'll bet you anything even if I could leave this place, I'd never find my way back. Dream sending is less efficient, but safer. Just make a note of it."
  450. [22:31] <Dealgan> Standing up, Dealgan would stretch, groaning as he said "Me body's gonna hate me this mornin'...night wit'out dinner nor sleep. But I didn't wanna give anyt'ing a change to slip in here." he would look to the doorway, catching sight of the porcupine "Well then..."
  451. 06[22:32] * Naze nods to Kazumi in thanks and looks to the giant Porcupine and blinks at it as it trundles up <SS> "Greeting Porcupine." she says respectfully
  452. [22:33] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh blinks over at the porcupine as well. His tail rises some and waves behind him like some sort of happy flag. He doesn't really like porcupines, but seeing this one means they might get to go home soon.
  453. [22:33] <Kazumi> "Also I thinkholyshititsagiantprocupine......"
  454. 06[22:33] * Dimitria just moves past the gathering concentrating on porcupine. She stands there just staring at Bryan, and wants him to -know- she is staring.

  456. 06[22:33] * Pierce moves to stand near Naze, smiling wide at the Porcupine spirit, though he does not interrupt her speaking to hit.
  457. 06[22:33] * Natasha-BoS-RT draws a fresh cig from her bag, placing it between her lips. Just observing for now. She eyes Bryan and Dimitria for a moment however, watching them as she watched Bryan

  460. [22:34] <Dealgan> Stepping outside, Dealgan would nod to the spirit and say "<SS>Good morning Porcupine..."
  461. 01[22:34] <@IS-st> (SS) Greeting newcomer. I will be with you in a bit. I have a deal to conclude."
  462. 06[22:34] * SNB activates his Gift of Beast Speak just in case.
  463. 06[22:34] * Kazumi mutters to herself. "What the hell is going on here?" She shakes her head.
  464. 06[22:35] * Natasha-BoS-RT would offer one to Liam without word, still watching silently for now.
  465. [22:36] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh looks up at Naze in some astonishment. L> "Porcupine speaks same as Talks-a-Lot." Mind you, he knows he understands the duck. But he doesn't realize it's because he's learned Spirit Speech. he just thought he understood Talks-a-Lot because every papa should understand their little ones.
  466. 06[22:36] * `Liam takes the Cigarette as he lights it looking over at Bryan and the Pocupine
  467. 01[22:36] <@IS-st> It walks over to the group from the sept and all of them offer gnosis to the spirit. Bryan unbars the door and swings it opne before the Porcupine walddles inside. The Alpha then holds up the deer skull and shakes it. There is a rattle of bones inside. "Come and pick." he tells the other of his sept.
  468. [22:37] <Kazumi> "Oh fucking hell...."
  469. [22:37] <Dimitria> "Someone is going to have to hold me down..." she mutters under her breath.
  470. 01[22:38] <@IS-st> The garou come and pick their piece, some looking relieved, while others grimly go and line up against the wall of the cabin.
  471. 06[22:39] * Naze nods to the spirit and grins to Shiloh as she turns and her smile fades as she watches this bizzare tragdey unfold
  472. 06[22:39] * SNB takes a place near Dimitria. Not touching her without permission, but there if she needs the help.
  473. [22:40] <Pierce> "So it is chiminage," he says softly under his breath, watching what is certain to be a grisly outcome. He moves over to Dimitria's side, and picks up his staff from the ground, slipping the end of it inside the wraps of the sash-like belt he was wearing until it settled against his left hip.
  474. [22:40] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh turns from Naze to his pack Alpha. He moves over to her, and carefully puts one of his paws on top of her foot.
  475. [22:40] <Kazumi> "It's as wrong as everything else in this nightmare. I feel like I'm trapped in a Harlan Ellison story."
  476. 01[22:43] <@IS-st> Roughly 30 of the garou line up, leaving about 20 to stand around until Porcupine makes a reappearance, followed by 30 other people, all freshly stiched together.
  477. 06[22:47] * Shiloh[hs] carefully... puts another paw ... on Dimtria's other foot. Not a lot of weight. He's basically turned sideways, with his blind side to her, giving him the ability to watch this confusing mess of what cannot possibly be good news
  478. [22:47] <Kazumi> "Nope, now I know I am. 'I Have No Gnosis, Yet I Must Chiminage'." She said, riffing on "I Have No Mouth Yet I Must Scream", one of the most notoriously fucked up and terrible science fiction stories of all time.
  479. [22:49] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh stares at Kazumi a moment. He'd understood every word she used, but still has no idea what she means. Oh well. Back to the confusing mess of undoubtedly terrible events!
  480. 01[22:49] <@IS-st> The newly emerged move and there are a number of tearful reunions and that is when the last and most terrible shoe drops...they one that no one had asked about last night. Where were the kin?
  481. 01[22:50] <@IS-st> Bryan motions the 30 back into the Cabin and walks in after them. They bar the door and quickly disburse.
  482. 06[22:50] * Dimitria watches the newly stitched people follow porcupine out and looks over at Bryan again. "Ryah what have you done..."
  483. [22:50] <Dealgan> Dealgan would grimace, having read the story himself at some point. Good writing of a horrific situation. Speaking of horrific situations, the lack of Kinfolk caused a couple to run through his mind briefly.
  484. 06[22:51] * Naze already knows.. the kin died long ago. She looks to Bryan as he goes "Why not leave this place?" she asks
  485. [22:52] <Natasha-BoS-RT> The kinfolk just walked out of the shed if Tash was seeing this right, but she would inhale shortly with a small brushing of her temples
  486. [22:53] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh stares. Every hair on his back rising. Every hair on his tail floofing out. L> "Blood and terror." He says again.
  487. 06[22:53] * Kazumi is only a few paces behind DImitria now in utterly losing her shit on this place.
  488. 06[22:53] * Pierce watches Bryan enter the cabin and get locked in. The young man sighs gently, and slips the staff back out of his sash to rest at his left side normally again.

  490. 01[22:54] <@IS-st> The Porcupine looks at Naze. (SS) "They can't. They have been here too long. They hunted everything in the forest, ate the bark of treas, and the worms in the ground, until finally one of them killed anouther and they ate him. That is when they called me here to keep the sacrifice going."
  491. 01[22:55] <@IS-st> Someone inside the cabin cries out in pain, and the scent of fresh blood starts to fill the air.
  492. [22:56] <Dimitria> "STOP THIS!" she is ready to charge the Alpha, right there. "Your Caern Heart is dying because of what you are doing here, can't you feel it! We can show you a way out! Stop fucking killing them!"
  493. 01[22:57] <@IS-st> (The alpha is inside killing people presumably)
  494. 06[22:57] * Kazumi is shaking with frustration and rage and a need to do... SOMETHING.
  495. 06[22:58] * Kazumi looks at the Porcupine. "Is there nothing we can do?
  496. [22:58] <Dimitria> (Then she is charging the door
  497. 01[22:59] <@IS-st> (SS) Only kill them all.
  498. 06[22:59] * SNB puts a hand on Dimitria's shoulder to hold her down.
  499. 06[22:59] * Natasha-BoS-RT would move to bar Dimitria, blocking her from breaking the door down.
  500. 06[22:59] * Naze looks ot Dimitria and Barks at her "Dimitria! We are still guests. Still your hand and tounge, that is an order." she says before she looks to Pocupine sadly <SS> "They have to know.. they have to know by now that Gaia.. will never lift this Caern, legenadary or not, to the Tellurian again.."she sighs
  501. 06[22:59] * Pierce puts a hand on Dimitria's shoulder as she charges. "Dimi-rhya! This place is hanging by a thread. If you interrupt this exchange, it will not be their salvation, it will be their execution."
  502. [22:59] <Natasha-BoS-RT> "Enough. This isn't our caern, this isn't our place to try and change it. As Naze said, we're guests here, now please back down Dimitria."
  503. 01[23:00] <@IS-st> Dimi charges the door and is quickly stopped by the actions of SNB and Natasham at least for the moment.
  504. [23:00] <Kazumi> "Naze.... ask the Porcupine what we were sent here to ask."
  505. [23:01] <Naze> <SS> "Applogies Pocupine. We have come to you on a sacred jorney to retrive one last item on behalf of Malachi, Runs on bloody paws, Legend Theurge, to enact a great rite to keep us in the fight. We seek your Electrum Quill."
  506. [23:01] <Shiloh[hs]> Shiloh was already standing on her feet. He probably got knocked over in that, but he gets back up and gives Dimitria a long look. Mostly, he understands. But she has hard knees.
  507. 06[23:03] * Dimitria held back. But she can't stay in this place, she roars a scream in frustration and just storms away from the whole lot of them.
  508. 01[23:03] <@IS-st> IT looks at Naze. (SS) Well, who am I to deny the Legend. Someone will have to pluck it from me." It turns and shows off its quills, all of them a silvery shade.
  509. [23:03] <Dealgan> Dealgan would look in horror, the colors draining from his face as the scope of the situation became all the more apparent. He let out shaky breaths for a moment before gritting his teeth and inhaling sharply. Letting out his breath, he said "This place holds a curse worse than the t'ickest taint...I pity them here...for truly we have witnessed
  510. [23:03] <Dealgan> hell itself. Hell missin' only the fire, but havin' all the death and pain..."
  511. 06[23:04] * SNB steps forward to be ready to do the plucking.
  512. [23:04] <Natasha-BoS-RT> As Dimi storms off she eyes Naze. "If no one objects I'll grab it."
  513. [23:05] <SNB> I have a suspicion that the plucking will burn the plucker.
  514. 06[23:05] * SNB holds out a hand ready to do that.

  516. [23:05] <Natasha-BoS-RT> "I'm a masochist Dave. Pain is my middle name. I don't much mind." She shrugged simply enough, looking to Naze as the ranking garou.
  517. 06[23:06] * Naze nods "I will pluck it, electum is silver and gold, So Unless you also have Luna's blessing? I dont reccomend it. Sorry to hog the spotlight, but I dont wish any of you hurt." she winks to them with a small smile
  518. 06[23:07] * Natasha-BoS-RT rolled her eyes with a shake of the head, but just moved back to the side.

The fact that no Incarna has come down here and broken the cycle means these people are well and truly damned. You're right, Dealgan... this is a kind of hell. I'd collapse this little pocket dimension if I could.... but I checked, I lack the power,

  523. [23:12] <Shiloh[hs]> L> "This is one of Great Caerns. It is good to remember. They are Garou. Not Spirals. They do not fall. Something is behind this. Purpose more than empty life."
  524. 06[23:13] * Naze reaches for one that looks a little off color and reaches for it but at the last second she see yshe's about to pluck the wrong one, and sees the real one. She adjusts her aim to grasp the sliver-gold, almost copper colored quill in the sea of silver on his back
  525. 06[23:13] * Pierce lids his eyes and nods solemnly to Dimi in understanding as the two of them have a hushed conversation.
