  1. [20:42] {NARRATION} When the group enters the room a few things become plainly obvious.
  2.
  3. The first was that this was not the complete universe.
  4. The second was that it was, in fact, the solar system, complete with the sun radiating both heat and light, and the planets all moving in orbit.
  5. The third was that they would feel as if they were in space.
  6.
  7. Literally.
  8.
  9. Their feet quickly left the ground as the laws of gravity found themselves applied on a cosmic scale upon them. No longer were the attracted by the planet, but rather by the sun that spun in the middle of the room.
  10.
  11. It was clear by now that gravity had abandonned them, and that planets, comets, and asteroids alike were going to pelt them soon enough.
  12.
  13. That is if they weren't engulfed by the sun itself.
  14. [20:47] What was one to expect when entering the room of an experiment that's said to try and replicate the universe? There was no telling-- and Aeolus certainly would never have imagined that he'd well... be floating around in a makeshift space.
  15.
  16. The moment his feet left the ground, he recalled a sensation of flying from the few times he's drank a levitation potion-- the only difference being that he wasn't able to control himself.
  17.
  18. They were moving towards the sun.
  19.
  20. Aeolus quickly tried to turn and 'swim' towards safety like some sort of cartoon character that had lost their footing attempting to swim back to the ground.
  21.
  22. To no avail, of course.
  23.
  24. "...Atlas, you try to create some sort of gravity force that'll keep us in place!"
  25. (Aeolus)
  26. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27.
  28. [20:50] Luckily Atlas was used to this sensation, he couldn't say the same for the rest of the party. As his feet left the air Atlas' eyes would close, harnessing his own power to manipulate gravity in order to stabilize himself.
  29.
  30. He did his best to extend this stability to the others in his ground as Aeolus commanded. The forces of gravity shifted around the three and allowed them to basically fly. There was no form of surface to walk on so the three would be stuck in place.
  31.
  32. Atlas assumed the other two would figure out what to do from there. Anastasia could use fire and propel herself and Aeolus could conjure the winds to do the same. Atlas however would rely on gravitational force to move.
  33.
  34. "Yeah, I got it."
  35.
  36. His eyes looked around to see an entire solar system. A sun, planets, moons, all of it was sitting right in front of him. Project Universe seemed to be an exaggeration as the extents of this realm was limited to this solar system, but it was still breathtaking.
  37.
  38. "This is..."
  39.
  40. Heat started to radiate across the man's body as he realized they were being pulled in by other gravitation forces, one's Atlas couldn't match. The young boy's hands went forward and delivered a constant push of gravity in the opposite direction, delaying the three from being eaten by the sun's warmth.
  41. (Atlas)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [20:53] They stepped into the room proper, and frankly, Anastasia knew little of what to expect, but what they did find blew her mind. Instead of the universe itself, it was the solar system.
  45.
  46. Yet -
  47.
  48. The Sun itself held the gravity within the room, and as their feet left the floor itself, and they floated within the room, the Astor felt briefly helpless, unsure of her path. Thusly, her eyes shut tightly and she reached her own mana outwards, up to Alph, as she typically did in times of need.
  49.
  50. Here and now she prayed for assistance in knowing just how to handle this. Asteroids whizzed by her head, and as the sun beckoned them closer, the young girl's legs kicked out as if she was swimming. Alph had to know what to do - how to handle this.
  51.
  52. But it was Atlas who held knowledge of gravity, whereas she held knowledge and the blessing of the stars themselves. Hearing Aeolus plead with Atlas to create a well of gravity to keep them away from the Sun was the best idea she could think of.
  53.
  54. The Astor focused her prayers towards Alph to be focused upon it's experiences, upon what those within the star had already gone through. To experience things against things no one else had gone through. Reopening her eyes, that cosmic fire reignited across her form.
  55.
  56. "We can overcome it." She declared, eyes wide. "We have to. Come on - we can't just let this thing eat us, after all!"
  57. (Anastasia ven Astor)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [20:54] {NARRATION} Of course panic was going to set quickly. Swimming was a good attempt but they'd all been caught past the event horizon. There was no going out. No escaping.
  61.
  62. The only way they'd get out of this one was by destroying what drew them closer: The Sun.
  63.
  64. How difficult could that be? It was merely... hot. Very hot.
  65.
  66. And the passing astral bodies also pelted the party from every direction.
  67.
  68. Could they really overcome it?
  69.
  70. How long could Atlas last before his push would falter, eventually bringing the lot of them to be swallowed whole?
  71. [21:02] {NARRATION} As the fight further progresses the light emitted by the sun itself seems to recede, and reverse.
  72.
  73. The whole room went... more or less dark.
  74.
  75. Was it really dying-
  76.
  77. Oh no.
  78.
  79. The light was still there. It was merely being bent inwards, towards the sun itself.
  80.
  81. Uh oh.
  82.
  83. If light itself could not escape, how could they hope to do so themselves?
  84. [21:04] {Won Restrained RPB against The Sun}
  85. [21:05] {NARRATION} Aeolus RP victory.
  86. Everyone /roll
  87. [21:06] {NARRATION} Ana - 12 Days Temp
  88. Atlas - 1 Day Temp
  89. Aeolus - 1 Day Temp
  90. [21:11] {Lost Restrained RPB against The Sun}
  91. [21:12] ** The Sun has inflicted an injury upon Aeolus. ("Solar Winds", "In the aftermath of destroying the sun in room 003, Aeolus found himself the recipient of strong solar winds that reached right into his vision, blurring it from time to time.", "Temporary", "Duration: Short (1 day)") **
  92. [21:12] Never in his life did he think he'd be in space, facing off against the sun itself as well as various planets. It felt like almost certain demise-- even with the aid of Atlas' gravity magic they were succumbing to the force of the Sun's gravitational pull.
  93.
  94. He felt like a ragdoll, being buffeted around by various planets... was this it-- the end?
  95.
  96. Pain could be felt all throughout his frame, Aeolus felt weak... he could feel his body slowing down, the only thing keeping the swordsman in the game being that the two were his brother, Atlas... as well as Anastasia, the girl he was meant to serve as a retainer.
  97.
  98. "I... I won't let you guys... down."
  99.
  100. They were all trying their best and with the power of friendship could surely make it through. While the other's likely intended to keep their distance, Aeolus would go forwards.
  101.
  102. "This isn't... the real sun. It's just a man-made copy! We can do this-- we can beat it!" He'd cry out, prior to charging forwards, propelled by a burst of wind. It was hot and he could feel himself burning, but this had to be done.
  103.
  104. "This is the blade which will cut through demons-- the blade that will cut through witches, and the blade that will cement myself as one worthy of being known as the Lightbringer some day.
  105.
  106. I refuse to lose here!"
  107.
  108. And with that, he'd continue forwards, stabbing his blade into a weak spot of the sun prior to causing it to crack and disintegrate.
  109. (Aeolus)
  110. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  111.
  112. [21:18] {NARRATION} Some may see this as retainers doing everything they could to oblige Anastasia's desires, though older ones would see the adventure as one of friendship rather than servitude. Perhaps in due time the trio would realize as much.
  113.
  114. For now, however, they were busy floating around a room with zero gravity, fighting against pelting asteroids and a burning sun. The lot of them were hit by such, be it through getting too close to the sun, or remaining in the room for too long, or even destroying the center of gravity itself.
  115.
  116. A crack came with the stab Aeolus brought forth, and with it, all of the light spilled out from the entity at once, blinding him momentarily before allowing all the planets around the to...
  117.
  118. .. Fly wildly, of course. They had no gravity center. They bounced against the walls here and there, nearly knocking the kids unconscious before the earth itself slammed against a door at the other end of the room, crushing it and disrupting the machine hidden behind it.
  119.
  120. The floor gave way, and with it, gravity returned to normal as the machine fell down below. Deep, deep down. The lot of them were far from equipped enough to venture down -that- hole to figure out what powered this room in the first place. Though they wouldn't leave empty-handed, as from the cracked up sun fell out the very things that gave it its cosmic attraction and the flame behind it all.
  121.
  122. As well as... coins?
  123.
  124. Just who stashed coins in a pricey experiment?
