  1. Another day come and gone, another moment of patrolling the streets on foot this time. Contemplations of traveling North for a visit to her parent's grave again might have been needed.
  2.
  3. Elemental practices continued to be had with little to no succession aside from summoning her own magic instead. It was a pain. Vivica needed more meditation for mental strengthening. She believed that could help her to finally allow the summoning of a simple elemental.
  4.
  5. As stated in Thom's journal she obtained long ago, that's how his practice underwent. Pulling it into the physical realm from the spirit realm, a door imagined in his mind that he could open and reach into.
  6.
  7. Another attempt at summoning, she stopped near the church by herself. Not many were around today it seemed and she wasn't particularly focused on who else could be around to see her practice, but many were aware of what she was hoping to obtain.
  8.
  9. Though.. before she could begin, a guard had approached to hand the woman a letter. One from Luna Imeri Rockbell, the mother of the man she placed a bounty on. Swiftly she opened it to read, holding back a bit of laughter by biting at her lip before pulling out a journal to write one back.
  10.
  11. "Thank you, send this off to Luna in Nostvale." She stated and place the journal with Luna's letter folded up inside of it back within her bag.
  12. (Vivica Loirdne)
  13. Brenton steps out of the keep with a stretch. Since his return from his nearly two-year journey he had become much more reclusive. An extreme change for him, even as a loner when he was a kid Brenton staid out. Preferring that over being locked in his room.
  14.
  15. It was oddly quiet and slow day in the city. His own training was on delay by way further then he wanted. Until he gathered the people he wanted and went to retrieve the items he had found from the map, he didn't know what to do. He had pretty much hit his peak, and at a very young age. In other words, he had nothing to strive for outside of following the map.
  16.
  17. Seeing Vivica leaning against the church Brenton feels instant guilt flood his mind. Sighing the red head male heads over to the girl he considered woman.
  18.
  19. "Hi Vivica. You've grown, looking well"
  20.
  21. His tone is meek and awkward. Had she even noticed his absence? Had anyone really?
  22.
  23. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  24.
  25. Vivica Loirdne rolled a dice and it landed on: 3
  26.
  27. The young woman closed her eyes. "I can do this." A deep breath in, and another out. "I can do this." She whispered to herself. A door appeared in the void of her mind, the same one as before.
  28.
  29. "Open." She spoke to herself. Vivica's hand gripped at the knob, turning it and opening the door to reveal the realm before her. Within her mind, she pictured the same, young elemental she had before. A small, cloud like elemental with lightning magic and some water surging through its features, flopping around.
  30.
  31. {Rolled 3) In reality, Vivica's hand was held out. In her mind, her hand began to reach through and pull, but the moment her eyes opened, it was again just a water ball with lightning magic formed around it.
  32.
  33. Another fail at summoning an elemental. "I need more mental strengthening." She whispered to herself. Brenton had appeared moments later and with a smile, her eyes wandered from her hand and to him. "Hey, Brenton! Thank you, it's been awhile since I've seen you as well. You seem different."
  34.
  35. The woman dispelled her magic and dropped her hand at her side. "What have you been up to? I've been wanting to talk to you for awhile. About a lot."
  36. (Vivica Loirdne)
  37. Brenton had arrived after her training so he had no idea what was going really. A smile appears on his face as she speaks. His mixed hues the same, his features and everything else the same. It was his mind that had changed, about a lot of things. Too much time spent idling around had made him question many things and as a result he was quite restless.
  38.
  39. "Time changes us all, yes it has been awhile. Sorry about that I was away"
  40.
  41. He answers her his smile never faltering. There was much he wanted to tell her too, much he wanted to tell many people. But he would not, especially not his father. Not that he was afraid, just that it was all better left unsaid until after his personal quest of understanding came to an end.
  42.
  43. "Oh? Well I am here now and with open ears"
  44.
  45. As always, he would listen to anything she had to say. That had not changed.
  46.
  47. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  48. A nod of her head was given to the man about time changing all and his apology for being away. A smile kept on her visage that he was open to listen to her words. "I know you are, Brenton, but can we talk somewhere else then? Maybe we can do some training. I could use help with some.. uh.. mental strengthening." She stated and looked around the city.
  49.
  50. "I started taking interest in summoning elementals like Thom Takashi could, but it's a bit more difficult than I thought it would be. My mom gave me information on spirit summoning, and I read Thom's journals too.. so, I'm trying to summon, but having a hard time." Vivica stated with a sigh.
  51.
  52. The woman's silver hues wandered from him and towards the caves. Perhaps they could find a more peaceful area with less disturbance from the city to practice their training and talk.
  53.
  54. "Also.. I'm all ears if you need to talk to me about anything as well." Her smile widened and she looked back towards him before laughing! "Oh, right, I also wanted to tell you that I can finally create storms!" A toothy grin was given. Just how long was he away for without her noticing? She had been so occupied with protecting Cinderfall and tending to others that she almost didn't notice much of Brenton's absence..
  55. (Vivica Loirdne)
  56. "Mhm, the cave then"
  57.
  58. He says moving forward and getting ready to follow Vivica. He could use some training. Though at the mention of the man Thom his face pales. He knew all about her past of course, and Thom's. And he had gotten over it all mostly, but even after all these years, even after moving on. The name Thom still caused a deep dread in a lot of people, for him it was more of an involuntary thing.
  59.
  60. "Oh! You can…good job Vivica that's great"
  61.
  62. He says as his own dimpled smile forms. No mention is given if he would talk to her about his own issues though he knew that she would be open to it before she even told him. He didn't really even know how to express his confused state of mind, there was too much to muddle through.
  63.
  64. Almost two years…that's how long.
  65.
  66. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  67. The young woman grabs his hand shortly after he speaks and approaches to basically drag Brenton off towards the caves. There was always that beautiful portion near the dragon's cave south western of both caves nearby Cinderfall that was calming and relaxing to be at, therefore that's where the two adults would find themselves to be after minutes of walking.
  68.
  69. Vivica's pace was quick. Stepping her boots in the soft soil was exhilerating, especially since she hadn't been in this area for awhile, the last time being her and Batkem destroying the depraved heart amulet she picked off of Rin's deceased body.
  70.
  71. "Oh.. right. thank you. I'm still getting used to the powers of storms.. I'm able to teleport around the field and well.. sometimes it's difficult to predict where the best spot to go in the moment of battle is. Heh.. or sometimes I forget I can do it.. ya." She spoke nervously about her powers, but with a shake of her head, she continued on.
  72.
  73. "Anyways! This place is very peaceful. Why don't we sit down and talk? Unless you want to battle first. I don't mind whichever." She gave the man a smile. The place was relaxing, perfect for allowing mental strength to grow.
  74.
  75. Vivica only could assume that if a storm elemental had been three elements tied to a single being, perhaps the connection needed had to be stronger than that of summoning one of a single element, or a weaker spirit. Either way, she was determined to grow mentally and gain a strong connection to the elemental she'd try to summon again soon.
  76. (Vivica Loirdne)
