"I'm sort of on a mystical quest, very important and very official. I'm a wizard you see. Well, my sister is anyway. You wouldn't happen to know of any strange appearances, newly risen titanic monsters, or maybe seen any flapping, possibly evil spellbook pages go hurtling through the sky here recently would you?"

A few of the people raise eyebrows in slight alarm at the mention of a wizard, but then they look to Trevor and start to gain some clarity about how a girl travels around with such a creature, "Fresh out of titantic monsters, I'm afraid. Just the," he pauses, glancing at Humphrey, "Usual sort."

"Although...now that you mention you're a wizard, you might be able to help us with a bit of a pickle. Assuming you're not busy, that is."

"Least you aren't accosted by Ettins during your walks," the man chuckles, "I'm Sigrid, by the way. Wife over there is Marla."

"Anyway, we're on our way back to our town, Thistledown. Quaint little place on the edge of a lake, fantastic views. But we're a recent problem with a Troll of late."

"That's why we're out here: he's stoppin all traffic coming in from the main road and Thistledown could really use supplies. We don't have the money, or food, to pay him and we sure as hell aren't feeding him our children, so he just smashes things and takes what we try to bring through by force."

"It's getting to be a bit much so we were sent out to get in supplies the long way around and...we ran into...Humphrey."

Looking back expectantly, Olivia waits for the unfurling of the mighty and stars and stripes spangled banner behind her as she stands with her hands on her hips, tome at her side glowing softly.

She speaks in her most mature and dramatic voice,

"I'll do something about that Troll."

Marla: "Oh thanks heavens. We're mostly farmers, or fishermen, or tradesmen, with a town guard that just practices such on their days off. Havin' someone that knows what they're doing and carries around...Trevor, was it? Would be so much better."

"We're on the way back if you'd like a ride in the wagon. Provided it still can move."

"Why yes ma'am, I've saved er, dozens! Dozens of villages much like yours, and I am quite confident that my great experience in such matters will see that dastardly Troll put to paid for his crimes. And yes, that would be lovely."

Sigrid nods, happy that they've had some ray of good news lately, "And frankly, it'd do good for people to know there's a wizard helping people. Most of you folk, pardon my saying, simply cause more trouble than they're worth."

Olivia nods sagely, "Well of course. Many wizards are irresponsible and arrogant, with a poor grasp of cause and effect or impaired judgment. Luckily, I have none of those negative traits and in fact am glad to help."

"Humphrey, you're quite welcome to come along but since you broke the wagon you may have to pull it along so that everybody else can get there quickly"

"Oh! And we'll need a crevasse or a canyon. Have you got one of those nearby? And I've got a plan, a brilliant plan that's very guaranteed to work. And yes, there's a part in it for everyone to help!"

Sigrid and Marla shakes their heads, "Not nearby, though we've a well. And the lake of course, but nothing on the scale that you're thinking."
