Operation War

Ladies and gentlemen of the Alpha League, I present to you... OPERATION WAR!

**This league-wide event will have mandatory participation on all levels of the league!** All members of the league will be randomly assigned to one of four different factions in the league, all of which will be spearheaded by a captain. Each captain will select one sub-captain from their groups.

Now, on to the rules! First up: after groups are decided, there will be a grace period of one day before the war begins. During the duration of Operation War, a member of the league CANNOT refuse a War Challenge from a member of any other faction (unless the person is literally about to go offline or on their phone and has no teams). Once someone has been defeated in a War Challenge, they may not participate in another War Challenge for a full 24 hours. All War Challenges will be saved as replays and submitted to a google form.

Now for the points system: If you defeat a regular member of another faction, you gain one point for your faction. If you defeat the sub-captain of another faction, you gain two points for your faction. If you defeat the Captain of another faction, you gain three points for your faction. The faction with the most points at the end will be declared the winner. All members of the winning faction will be showered with cards and bucks.

Any new entries into the league while Operation War is ongoing will be automatically placed into whatever faction has the least members at the time of their entry into the league.

All battles will be done in the gen7monotype format, of course. You can use any legal monotype team you have.

In order to declare a War Challenge on a Captain, you must first beat the sub-captain of the Captain's faction. Once you face the Captain, you must face the sub-captain again before you can challenge the Captain again.. If you yourself are a Captain, however, you may challenge the Captain of another Faction without facing that Faction's Sub-Captain.

Sub-Captains and Captains "enjoy" a slightly different loss procedure than normal. If they lose a War Challenge, they can still BE challenged, but they cannot declare challenges.
