Whiny Mancold

Alexithymiaa: -Steph had been out running with Penny around the neighborhood. She knew better than to take Nugget because she'd get halfway down the block and the poor dog couldn't breathe. By the time they'd made their way back to the house, they'd gone quite a distance and they were both panting. Opening the front door, she let Penny in ahead of her who immediately went to her bowl to drink.-
Covet: Felix was laying on the couch, he'd taken the day off because he was still feeling miserable after catching Steph's cold. Hearing her come in he spoke up in a hoarse voice, "Yay, you're home...Can you bring me the Vicks and get me something warm to drink?" He asked already making his mancold demands.
Alexithymiaa: -She headed over into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge to guzzle it down before turning to look over the island at him. "I take it that means you're not feeling any better than when I left?" She asked, turning to fill the teapot in the sink and set it on the stove before grabbing the vicks from the counter to make her way over to him.-
Covet: "No, but I'm feeling better now that you are home." He said in a nasaly tone giving her a cheeky smile before sneezing into the sleeve of his hoodie, then groaned out in pain at the throbbing pressure in his head. "Oh my god.. why!?"
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not sleeping with you while you're sick, so don't say cheesy things for my benefit." She said as she took a seat, passing him the vicks. "Aren't you being a little dramatic? It's just a cold. It'll pass in another day or so."-
Covet: "That wasn't getting laid cheese. That was me making my demands seem appreciated cheese." He said rolling his eyes, as he took it from her and opened it up. "You're just a cold" He mumbled then lifted up his hoody to spread the menthol goodness across his chest. "If I'm being dramatic it's just because I'm trying to match your dramatic when you were sick."
Alexithymiaa: "I was not dramatic when I was sick." She shot back defensively, twisting her body to face him. "You were more dramatic about my sickness than I was."-
Covet: "You have no proof of that." Felix said, being a shit like always. "Fine, then I'm trying to make up for your lack of drama when you were sick?" He asked.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh that doesn't even make sense." She said with a roll of her eyes, pushing up to her feet when she heard the whistle of the tea pot. Climbing on the counters so she could get a mug down for him, she jumped back down and dropped a teabag in his mug, filling it with hot water and stirring it in. "You better be feeling better for Thanksgiving. I can't handle that much cooking without your help."-
Covet: "I'll be fine. Mom and Seb are supposed to be here Wednesday. He's got a rental from the airport, so we don't need to worry about picking them up." Felix said as he watched her do her kitching climbing stunt.
Alexithymiaa: "That works." Making her way back into the living room, she took a seat down next to him, passing him the mug of tea. "How long are they staying for?" She asked then paused, thinking of all the plans she had in her head for his birthday. "Wait, will Seb be here for your birthdays?"-
Covet: "Uh... maybe? I'll have to re-confirm that. I don't remember if Mom said it was just the weekend or not." Felix said trying to think about what their plan was. "I'll ask her tomorrow." He said with a shrug then took the tea from her, giving it a sip, "What am I too sweet for some honey, Honey?" He asked with a mock hurt look on his face.
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : -She had been staring off into space in somewhat of a panic as she tried to think of how to rework all the plans she had in mind to celebrate Felix's birthday to include his brother without making Felix feel like he was any less celebrated. "What?" She asked, blinking a few times. "Oh, I'm sorry. Hold on." Getting up, she went back into the kitchen to fetch the bottle of honey, bringing it back for him.-
Covet: "You alright there space case?" He asked as he took the honey from her and poured it into his tea.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah.... just thinking about birthday things." She said with a warm smile, reaching her hand out to stroke it through his hair. "Which reminds me. Where is your work schedule for next week?"-
Covet: "Oooh, what kind of Birthday things? He asked her raising an eyebrow. "I don't work, because of Finals. I requested it off, because that's one last thing I don't have to stress about." He said though really he took it off to be lazy around his birthday.
Alexithymiaa: "Well obviously I'm not going to tell you. That would make it not a surprise." She said with a faux attitude, waving her hand through the air. "Some of the things I had planned were much more.... intimate though. Like to include Seb would be pretty weird even if I'm switching you guys at the end of the aisle."-
Covet: "RUDE!" He exclaimed in response to her not telling him his surprise. "I will uninvite him." Felix said with a dead straight face."I'll strongly suggest that they leave before then, if that's the case."
Alexithymiaa: "Hey, you can't do that. If they want to stay, they're more than welcome to stay. I can move things around and adapt. They're family." She gave him a glare so he would know she was serious before standing up to stretch her arms over her head then leaning to one side. "When was the last time you guys spent your birthdays together anyway?"-
Covet: "But, it's my birthday and aparently you have sexy fun things planned. I don't want them involved in that anymore than you do. We can celebrate our together birthday on Sunday before I ask them to leave." He said crossing his arms. " Uh... Senior year probably? I don't remember."
Alexithymiaa: "I have a handful of things planned for you, and not all of them are sexy fun things. I can rearrange. Besides, I actually like spending time with your family. And we haven't seen Seb in a while so I can show him what great taste you have." She smiled and gave a little wave of her left hand because she was proud of her unique ring.-
Covet: Felix sighed, "Fine they can stay longer, if they want. But they can't stay the whole week." He said with a firm nod as he sipped his tea.
Alexithymiaa: "They can stay however long they want to stay." She repeated, easing up from her stretching and staring at him. "They're both always welcome in this house. Whenever they want to come, or whenever they need to come. For however long they want to stay." She paused, the gears starting to turn in her head. "Do you think mom would want to adopt a dog to take back with her?"-
Covet: Felix huffed and tipped his head back. "I really hope you are trying to pawn off dogs on everyone else you talk to on a regular basis. " He shrugged, "I dunno, I'm not sure if that'd be the best idea, considering that the poor dog would have to acclimate to those warmer temperatures."
Alexithymiaa: "Don't worry, I am." She beamed at him and then leaned over to plant her palms on the floor on either sides of her feet to stretch her legs. "Do you think we can convince her to go home and adopt an older dog from her local shelter?"-
Covet: "That's probably more doable, than her getting on here." Felix said finishing off his tea. " She might like a dog, since Seb and I aren't around anymore outside of visiting."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, but would she want to adopt a senior dog?" She asked quickly, flipping up and brusing her ponytail out of her face.-
Covet: "I don't know....She's never been discriminatory...um...ageist? towards dogs that I can think of." Felix said with another look of I don't know.
Alexithymiaa: "Well then I'll just need to talk to her about when when she gets here." She said with a smile before moving over to sit down next to him on the couch again. "Is the vicks helping?" She asked, reaching out for more hair stroking.-
Covet: "Vicks is the shit, of course it's helping." He said then tucked his face under his hoody and inhaled deeply. "Mmmm mediciney goodness."
Alexithymiaa: "You know, you'd probably feel better soaking in a hot bath too. The steam does wonders and it's very good for your skin too. Do you want me to draw you a bath?"-
Covet: "I mean, if you were to go draw me a bath, I wouldn't complain, and It'd be rude to let all that water go to waste." Felix said looking at her, with a non-chalant look.
Alexithymiaa: "I will take that as you wanting a bath." She leaned over to kiss his cheek before getting to her feet, starting for their bedroom. "Love you, whiny brat." She called over her shoulder, heading into the bathroom to turn the water on in the tub and get it nice and steamy for him.-
Covet: "Yes." Felix said with a grin then leaned into her kiss, then got up to kind of slow stiff walk behind her because he'd been laying on the couch all day. "Love you too Red." He said, starting to strip down on his way that direction.
Alexithymiaa: -She added some of the bath oils she kept in the cabinet to the waterm filling the room with nice smells even if he couldn't smell it. "Okay, come on. Get your ass in this tub and relax."-
Covet: "I'm coming, I'm coming." He said with a groan, kicking off his socks and boxers once he got into the bathroom, then walked over to the tub to climb in and get comfortable, "Ooooh sooo nice...."
Alexithymiaa: "Mhmmm... take deep breaths and let the steam clear your nose." She leaned her hand into the water to wet it and then swept it back over his hair, just sort of doing the loving watch thing. "I'll be right back, okay? Just relax." She turned to pick him his clothes from the bathroom floor, walking out into the bedroom to collect those too so she could sort of clean up after his sickness since he's being given a pass right now.-
Covet: He gave a very stuffy and sniffling sounding inhale, doing is best, "Uh... Maybe just through my mouth for a bit, cause the steam hasn't quite done it's magic on my nose." He told her watching her clean up after him. He closed his eyes and just did some breathing. And probably half dozed off before she came back.
