  103. ==Notes==
  104. Each section is written to be read nominally from top to bottom. Each 'advanced' section presupposes the 'introductory' ones.
  105.
  106. Don't forget to read the appendix for the Communist Manifesto, or you can just read the PDF link. I recommend reading the Critique of the Gotha Program twice, once in the beginning, again after getting a background on Marxist Political Economy.
  107.
  108. Mouvement Communiste, a Left-Communist organization, made a short, but nonetheless excellent, critique the ABC of Communism. While I don't completely agree with their politics, I still recommend it.
  109. https://libcom.org/files/ABC%20of%20communism%20review.pdf
  110.
  111. The 'advanced texts' section is predominated by writings by the so-called 'Young Marx'. The Hegelianisms can be a bit difficult to a newcomer, and some of it is fairly long, so it's considered "Advanced", at least in quotation marks.
  112.
  113. Personally, I believe that ''The 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte'', ''The Civil War in France'', and ''Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State'' are the most important within that section and are must reads.
  114.
  115. Because Marx never wrote his promised treatise on dialectics, the majority of works on dialectics tend to come second hand, usually from Engels, Dietzgen, interpretation of Marx when using logical system (typically from ''Capital''), or through reading Marx through a 'dialectical' thinker (typically Hegel). My 'Dialectics' section focuses around what is typically called 'Dialectical Materialism' (the phrase an invention of Plekhanov), which borrows over heavily from Engels and isn't completely accepted by contemporary Marxist academia.
  116.
  117. Even though I included the links to ''Capital'', buy a physical copy because otherwise, it's so large, you'll probably never read it.
  118.
  119. The language can be difficult at first, so if you don't understand a term or concept, look it up on Marxist Internet Archive's Encyclopedia of Marxism.

  121.
  122. There is also two decent textbooks you can find online published behind the iron curtain. One in the last years of the USSR, and the other during the Maoist era of China. They're a little distorted, as expected, but they're quite good.
