  1. Kira was headed back to her hotel room, a bag full of chinese takeout dangling from one finger, four cardboard boxes and two styrofoam containers neatly stacked inside.
  2. she took a turn down an alleyway out of habit, used to trying to minimize the chances of running into a cop car just incase, and just incase anyone pursuing them wanted to make a move somewhere they could use their powers without causing too much of a scene.
  3.
  4. "Oi Girlie, its awful dark out to be wandering alone" came a rough voice as Kira stepped past a trashcan. A portly fellow several pints over his limit whose shirt was stained with what looked to be years old gravy was stood there, a bent piece of metal in hand and a lecherous grin on his face. She let out an annoyed huff. "Dude what are you gay? Wipe that look off your face." The question and statement certianly caused the man to blink with confusion. "The hell you on about? You a twink? I shoulda fuckin' known it was too good to be true. You probably get off to this shit. I should beat your skull in you freak!" He stepped forward with his face now contorted in drunken rage and brought the pipe down in a sloppy arc. Kira didn't even dodge, the pipe bent over her shoulder like it was made of wet paper as the kinetic force was redirected into it instead of her body. "I never was much of a teacher man." She chided as she stepped towards him and grabbed his arm, her own like a unbreakable vice. His confusion skyrocketed as he tried to process what was going on

  6. ...Several minutes later Kira walked out of the alleyway, hucking a pair of nuts into the storm drain as she passed before the coating of blood abruptly flew off of her skin. That guy in the alley didn't deserve to have them anyway. Now he could be what he hated the most or whatever. Poetic justice. Or a lesson, if a brutal one. He might live but Kira didn't care that much, this town was burned already if the increasing number of patrols was anything to go by. Atleast the detour had proven profitable enough to pay for the meal, the guy must have been on his way to a strip club judging by the contents of his wallet.

  8. They awkwardly scanned the key and opened the door with the same hand, taking two tries to properly open it. she stepped inside the cramped room and set the food on the counter. "Eh, foods here." she said to the empty room on the off chance a Ghost was present. There weren't too many people that could get the jump on her but if she kept trying eventually she'd catch them by surprise.

  10. She flopped backward onto the bed and kicked off her shoes, taking off the hat and letting her hair down. She exhaled a sigh of relief when removing the choker - physically it did nothing, but it had the emotional weight of having to hide who she was. Trying to look like a dude was so tiresome. None of her classes really covered espionage and nomatter how many crash courses the others gave her she just never quite could pull the guy thing off when it came to close scrutiny.

  12. But at the least it made her harder to track down, you tell cops to keep an eye out for a male suspect or a female suspect their preconcieved notion of what the perp looks like will be vastly skewed one way or another. Combined with the fact that you never know if someone is referring to appearances or genetics and the disguise ends up being more effective than it should be at causing the small moments of confusion that let her slip by instead of getting caught.

  14. She retrieves one of the carboard boxes from the plastic bag, already covered in condensation and pops the lid, grabbing some chopsticks and digging in. She felt relatively safe taking a shower if Ghost didn't turn up out of nowhere by the time she was done eating, but there was only so much you could do to avoid him if he really wanted to be an unrepentant child, though they should have all seen plenty of eachother in Center.
  15.
  16. When the others got back they would need to pick somewhere to head next, and how to get there. And hopefully the chinese food would keep bickering to a minimum.
