  1. [01:18] <Tangent> Want to hear Amelia's motivation~
  2. [01:18] <Ceilia> Sure?
  3. [01:18] <Tangent> "If there's no justice from the beacon, then I'll just have to become justice!"
  4. [01:18] <Tangent> :D
  5. [01:18] <Tangent> Maybe.
  6. [01:19] <Ceilia> And then she becomes an angry flaming paladin of rage and self destruction
  7. [01:19] <Ceilia> ...At least if that continues. Chisa might still try to shoot her paladin/beacon out of her if twin-quest ever continues/finishes
  8. [01:25] <Tangent> Well at this point, the beacon's taking a back seat to her underlying issues
  9. [01:25] <Tangent> And mmm,
  10. [01:25] <Tangent> Though that'd create a bit of a time paradox tbh
  11. [01:25] <Tangent> since Amy and Mila are being developed- rushed a bit tbh- to get them back into a state where Amelia can quest again.
  12. [01:27] <Ceilia> She has quite a few issues indeed
  13. [01:27] <Ceilia> Is why I kinda do hope the twin-quest is canon so that if nothing else
  14. [01:27] <Ceilia> Chisa can give her hugs
  15. [01:27] <Ceilia> (Hugs that she might give after being beaten down and possibly dieing)
  16. [01:31] <Tangent> (ooof)
  17. [01:32] <Tangent> Yeah, tbh, Amelia is just inherently...unstable.
  18. [01:32] <Ceilia> Hence Chisa hugs.
  19. [01:32] <Ceilia> And/or literally shooting the instability out of her if she could get the chance
  20. [01:32] <Tangent> mmm
  21. [01:32] <Ceilia> Even if it means getting burnt to cinders.
  22. [01:35] <Tangent> Hmmm.
  23. [01:35] <Tangent> I could see Amelia lashing out at some point, followed shortly after by regret.
  24. [01:38] <Tangent> Although on some level...Amelia wouldn't let go of the pseudo-beacon. Consciously, she's horrified by what it did and does, but her worries about it are as much "I didn't do anything that mattered" and "I'm a screw-up/failure" as "it's eating my soul, already ate my memories and self, and is giving me a lobotomy in slow motion..."
  25. [01:39] <Ceilia> Hence why Chisa would shoot it and follow it up/even if she fails and is dieing follow it up with all the hugs she can give.
  26. [01:40] <Ceilia> (Amelia really needs to make friends with one of the three self loathing characters I got~)
  27. [01:40] <Tangent> hehe
  28. [01:40] <Tangent> Not to go LOL YOU CAN'T DO THAT
  29. [01:41] <Ceilia> Well
  30. [01:41] <Tangent> But I kinda play Amelia at this point as basically "well, well beyond the point of no return" in terms of just simply reverting said damage?
  31. [01:41] <Tangent> If that makes sense?
  32. [01:41] <Ceilia> I never said Chisa's idea would work. At all.
  33. [01:41] <Ceilia> She'd probably fail at it and then just hug the injured (but prolly not dead) Amelia in her failiure~
  34. [01:41] <Tangent> hehe
  35. [01:41] <Ceilia> Also yea, I'm aware she'd probably be half lobotomized/still with broken memories
  36. [01:42] <Ceilia> Especially if Chisa's means of fixing her was
  37. [01:42] <Ceilia> to SHOOT the problem out of her
  38. [01:42] <Tangent> Like day 1 Amelia was actually capable of being terrified, just minor mind whammy about her name and some mental stuff.
  39. [01:42] <Tangent> Things deteriorated from there.
  40. [01:42] <Ceilia> Poor Amelia~
  41. [01:43] <Tangent> If Amelia ever tries corrupting herself- and she just might if she gets the right prompting- it'll feel like she's taking a dip in battery acid~
  42. [01:43] <Ceilia> ...
  43. [01:43] <Ceilia> You give me the horrible idea
  44. [01:43] <Ceilia> of having Chisa corrupt herself
  45. [01:43] <Ceilia> To try to remove her beacon'ing by corruption
  46. [01:43] <Tangent> hehehe
  47. [01:43] <Ceilia> And probably die trying/succeeding
  48. [01:43] <Ceilia> And/or she succumbs to madness shortly after
  49. [01:43] <Ceilia> Because she lacks a purification method herself
  50. [01:44] <Tangent> Amelia's not quite stupid enough to think it's a good idea but given her new bitterness, she might try with the right prompting
  51. [01:44] <Ceilia> (Amelia'd be fine cause she'd leave her to Alexa but yea)
  52. [01:45] <Tangent> Also Amelia's likely to latch onto PROTECT THAT PRECIOUS SMILE as her immediate reason for being
  53. [01:45] <Tangent> ...Amelia is still /disastrously/ ill suited to bodyguard.
  54. [01:45] <Tangent> As opposed to blender.
  55. [01:46] <Tangent> I am sure Alexa inevitably being hurt will not have hilariously negative effects.
  56. [01:46] <Ceilia> To be fair
  57. [01:46] <Ceilia> Alexa can heal herself
  58. [01:46] <Ceilia> It's a similar reason Kyrie'll just
  59. [01:47] <Ceilia> Flat out take a hit she can't defend for Nadia. Cause "Its fine, gimme a bit to reattach my arm..."
  60. [01:47] <Tangent> True but at the same time, she doesn't /take/ it well and well, Amelia's not exactly prone to good thought patterns.
  61. [01:48] <Tangent> Plus Amelia's gotten used to setting herself on fire as a combat tactic :V
  62. [01:49] <Ceilia> So I noticed
  63. [01:49] == Ceilia [~Mango@FC386C67:EB2C960A:A0CAEE3D:IP]
  64. [01:49] == realname : realname
  65. [01:49] == channels : #TheRedLine #MGSchool #MGClass #FredsMaids #BarofAdventure #ZipPathfinding #TheWand&Circlet #Overcity #MGPnP #MGCYOA #MGChronicle #MGCafe #Dungeons&Mols #Cup&Coin #angelsladder
  66. [01:49] == server : *.rizon.net [Where are you?]
  67. [01:49] == End of WHOIS
  68. [01:49] <Tangent> otoh without active, constant mind whammy
  69. [01:50] <Tangent> she can actually develop, relatively
  70. [01:50] <Tangent> If she did become genuine full Beacon now, it'd be an uphill struggle for whoever talked her into it.
  71. [01:51] <Tangent> (Or if things go to shit and she succumbs to despair, she just goes for her bastardized version with all that results in.)
  72. [02:24] <Tangent> As with anything else, Amelia probably doesn't handle breaking by halves :d
  73. [02:24] <Ceilia> Also
  74. [02:25] <Ceilia> I am playing a very dangerous game here
  75. [02:25] <Ceilia> Ceilia's plan?
  76. [02:25] <Tangent> Mmm?
  77. [02:25] <Ceilia> ...Get Kaylee KO'd before Agent
  78. [02:25] <Ceilia> Then KO agent
  79. [02:25] <Tangent> Yeahhhh.
  80. [02:25] <Ceilia> Then have Nico take the agent away
  81. [02:25] <Ceilia> It runs on SO many god damn contingnencies and cases to have work
  82. [02:25] <Ceilia> But it comes with the territory of her "Nobody has to die" intentions
  83. [02:26] <Ceilia> Literally I'm having to keep Kaylee at JUST enough damage while agent doesn't take too much...
  84. [02:31] <Tangent> Amelia's plans tend to involve plenty of kneejerk reactions and "wing it"
  85. [02:35] <Tangent> ...heh
  86. [02:35] <Tangent> as far as character exists go, getting herself and probably Alexa into some kind of horrible end would be fairly final
  87. [02:35] <Tangent> *exits
  88. [02:36] <Ceilia> Prolly
  89. [02:36] <Ceilia> But who knows
  90. [02:36] <Ceilia> >Inb4 Amelia is put into so much cycles of burning up herself and back that by the time they're done, she's reduced to a bird and only a non-magical bird.
  91. [02:37] <Tangent> hehehe
  92. [02:37] <Ceilia> (And Alexa... IDK, a cat? Her monsterous form is a lion IDK)
  93. [02:37] <Tangent> mmm
  94. [02:37] <Tangent> Though Alexa's just got inherently monstrous magic rather than Amelia's messed up variant
  95. [02:37] <Tangent> ...heh that'd be dark
  96. [02:37] <Tangent> Alexa as a recruit
  97. [02:38] <Tangent> "Welcome aboard, Ms. Aldrich. You start working off your debt today."
  98. [02:38] <Ceilia> And then her first job is to get rid of that pesky beacon girl that's been rampaging at them
  99. [02:39] <Ceilia> As the picture comes up of Amelia
  100. [02:39] <Ceilia> By force or corruption~
  101. [02:39] <Ceilia> >inb4 she corrupts and then they capture her to experiment all the best corruption they got on the fire mahou
  102. [02:40] <Tangent> Oh *dear*. Amelia almost certainly still would go for *rescue* if she sees Alexa presumably /tricked/ into it.
  103. [02:42] <Ceilia> Well
  104. [02:42] <Ceilia> Technically she wasn't tricked
  105. [02:43] <Tangent> Amelia thinks the world of Alexa~
  106. [02:43] <Ceilia> She did the job as they said and they did indeed take her in
  107. [02:43] <Ceilia> They just promoted her to the top of the experimental test subject group
  108. [02:43] <Ceilia> instead of just having them work together
  109. [02:44] <Tangent> >The egg in the jar cracked. A small, bedragged bird, a wrinkled, featherless thing, crawled free, feebly...then abruptly caught fire again. When the smoke faded, the egg was restored...
  110. [02:45] <Ceilia> That would be a horrible little fate for Amelia
  111. [02:45] <Ceilia> Her soul and energy reduced to a pittiful level that is equal to a baby phoenix. That unlike a baby phoenix isn't growing. Therefore it dies out. But revives itself. Only to hatch and die again
  112. [02:45] <Ceilia> Any attempts to mercy kill her just respawns her
  113. [02:45] <Ceilia> Forever
  114. [02:45] <Tangent> Probably lost her sentience by that point.
  115. [02:46] <Tangent> Though hey she'd probably make a good pet if someone ever got her out of there :V
  116. [02:46] <Ceilia> BUuuuuuuuut
  117. [02:46] <Ceilia> That's only the dark bad end
  118. [02:46] <Tangent> Or familiar.
  119. [02:46] <Ceilia> Who knows how it'll go
  120. [02:46] <Ceilia> (Also inb4 she's demoted to a mahou's familiar as her memories slowly are regenerated back)
  121. [02:46] <Tangent> "Yeah, she's called Amelia. We rescued her from the Mint, no idea what they were doing to her there..."
  122. [02:47] <Tangent> The bird tilted its head, letting out a soft chirp at the sight of the newcomer.
  123. [02:47] <Tangent> "Aw, she likes you!"
  124. [02:48] <Ceilia> >Excerpt from a totally not morally bankrupt Beast Mahou who knows her desperate flames of sentience are trying to cling on, and she treats them as an animal to try to snuff it out
  125. [02:48] <Tangent> The bird fluttered across the room, landing on another perch and tilting its cyan-feathered head at the knight girl.
  126. [02:48] <Ceilia> (Again, dark bad end.)
  127. [02:48] <Tangent> She was...She was...She was....
  128. [02:49] <Tangent> Delicate fingers stroked her head, and the look faded from the bird's eyes.
  129. [02:50] <Ceilia> Though, to be fair
  130. [02:50] <Ceilia> If the Twinquest is canon
  131. [02:51] <Ceilia> Chisa would probably come in, then be like "Wait why does that have the soul of a person?"
  132. [02:51] <Ceilia> (if it's recognizble)
  133. [02:51] <Ceilia> (Probably wouldn't be.)
  134. [02:51] <Tangent> Mmm.
  135. [02:51] == Ceilia has changed nick to Cierra-
  136. [02:51] <Tangent> Probably just enough magical energy and awareness to be a neat familiar.
  137. [02:51] <Cierra-> That would maybe or maybe not grow back to sentience if treated well
  138. [02:52] <Tangent> As much the bird as the girl at that point but mmm
  139. [02:52] <Cierra-> (inb4 she's put in the charge of a selfish mahou from Ebon Mint and the moment the mahou sees the familiar start to get a mind of it's own she abuses it back into it's partially feral levels of sentience)
  140. [02:52] <Tangent> Oh dear.
  141. [02:52] <Tangent> Amelia could still /shriek/~
  142. [02:53] <Cierra-> But yea, time shall see
  143. [02:53] <Tangent> Or rather, screech.
  144. [02:53] <Cierra-> What Amelia's fate shall be
  145. [02:53] <Cierra-> Be it a beacon girl that burns herself up into a pile of ash
  146. [02:53] <Tangent> Alexa finding that happened would be hilarious in a uh, tragic kinda way.
  147. [02:53] <Cierra-> Or a ebon mint experiment doomed to dwindle down to the embers of a bird and girl
  148. [02:53] <Cierra-> Or just being broken and suffering as a normal girl till she breaks
  149. [02:53] <Tangent> mmm
  150. [02:53] <Cierra-> (or a good end, god forbid that be allowed)
  151. [02:53] <Tangent> break probably leads to something worse as a result as she lashes out
  152. [02:54] <Tangent> otoh there's something to be said for corrupted, bitter Alexa...
  153. [02:54] <Tangent> and a strange pet she always refers to by name
  154. [02:55] <Cierra-> Or, even worse
  155. [02:55] <Cierra-> Never by name, she just swears it has one
  156. [02:55] <Cierra-> And she struggles to remember it
  157. [02:55] <Cierra-> Because she has to remember it. For the pets sake.
  158. [02:55] <Tangent> oh dearr
  159. [02:55] <Cierra-> Otherwise the pet will never get better. "But they're perfectly healthy?" I know, just... she's not.
  160. [02:56] <Tangent> *Chirp?*
  161. [02:56] <Cierra-> As a single tear forms as she can't figure out why she feels sad it only gives that cute confused tilt of ahead to show it is a curious bird.
  162. [02:57] <Cierra-> (Amelia is set up so hard for a bad end isn't she)
  163. [02:57] <Tangent> (One flavor or another)
  164. [02:57] <Cierra-> I swear it'll be an achivement if something claws her out from her fate
  165. [02:57] <Cierra-> And they reach good end
  166. [02:57] <Tangent> Not-Today End is probably the best she's likely to get.
  167. [02:58] <Tangent> ie: There's evil, and suffering, and monsters to fight...But she has her friends. She has her sword. She has something worth fighting FOR.
  168. [02:58] <Cierra-> True, but
  169. [02:58] <Cierra-> Then again that's all most mahou can hope for
  170. [02:58] <Tangent> mmm
  171. [02:58] <Cierra-> A career that lasts a long time
  172. [02:58] <Cierra-> Because there won't be an end
  173. [02:58] <Cierra-> Unless the end comes to them, and not their career's role
  174. [02:59] <Tangent> though in a sense, the baby phoenix thing...That's interesting and not just for the dark end thing beceause well...
  175. [02:59] <Tangent> It kinda fits /Nadia's/ arc
  176. [02:59] <Tangent> and how magical girls can become...something even more /other/.
  177. [02:59] <Cierra-> >Alternative bad end: Amelia is left fully sentient with all her old, non magical mindfuckery memories restored. But there's no hope for her physically, now and forever, as her soul has dwindled to the smallest of sparks, eternally burning, but would be drowned out by anything more added
  178. [03:00] <Cierra-> Also yea, true
  179. [03:00] <Tangent> Birdmelia, or...
  180. [03:00] <Cierra-> Though, Nadia's 'arc' kinda is abrupt 'good' end as it stands
  181. [03:00] <Tangent> Mmm.
  182. [03:00] <Cierra-> Since she has the little girl she was saving
  183. [03:00] <Tangent> Nadia's was basically her as a pseudo-puuchu though
  184. [03:00] <Tangent> which I thought setting-wise was a neat coincidence with this hypothetical
  185. [03:00] <Cierra-> And they're safe. Also yea, she's got control over said girl
  186. [03:00] <Cierra-> Buuuuut that said
  187. [03:00] <Cierra-> It's technically not nearly as bad end as possible
  188. [03:00] <Tangent> ie: megucas are /close/ to being magical creatures themselves in a way
  189. [03:00] <Tangent> right
  190. [03:00] <Cierra-> Since she still has her own emotions
  191. [03:00] <Tangent> I'm talking more setting stuff
  192. [03:01] <Cierra-> And granted the infinite time amount: Likely to control and let said girl go as free as possible
  193. [03:01] <Tangent> "Did you think that 'you're not human anymore' was just angst? It's literally true."
  194. [03:01] <Cierra-> ...While still having her own 'permanent' leash of being the effective puchuu, thus technically if she DID meet a horrible end
  195. [03:01] <Cierra-> She had the best odds to fix her horrible end
  196. [03:01] <Cierra-> Also true
  197. [03:02] <Cierra-> But then again Kyrie and Nadia kinda... "Meh whatever" at the lack of humanity.
  198. [03:02] <Cierra-> Nadia in the face of "Well if I'm not human, might as well put super human durability to use"
  199. [03:02] <Cierra-> And Kyrie... even moreso, but less superhuman firepower, more...
  200. [03:02] <Cierra-> ...literally standing up on pure determination as magic now is taking over the lack of physical ability to keep living
  201. [03:03] <Cierra-> As her heart stops, and too many holes in her lungs to properly breathe, the only thing keeping her from actually dieing is being too stuborn to let her magic stop doing everything manually
  202. [03:03] <Cierra-> (Granted: That's about every single monster fight she deals with)
  203. [03:04] <Cierra-> (As seen by her entire insides of her torso being turned into a smoothie before)
  204. [03:06] <Tangent> Also >Her name was Amelia. She was fighting for Alexa, her best friend, and to keep everyone else safe. She had black hair, and blue eyes, and was going to be a knight for justice no matter what they did to her. And when she got out of here, she was going to set every one of these stinking things on fire.
  205. [03:06] <Tangent> Light. Her name was Amelia. She was fighting for Alexa, her friend, and to keep everyone safe. She had black hair, blue eyes, and was a knight no matter what-
  206. [03:06] <Tangent> Light.
  207. [03:06] <Tangent> Her name was Amelia. She was fighting for Alexa and to keep everyone safe. She...she was a knight, no matter what-
  208. [03:06] <Tangent> Light.
  209. [03:06] <Tangent> Her name's Amelia. Fight for Alexa. Keep her safe.
  210. [03:06] <Tangent> Light.
  211. [03:06] <Tangent> Amelia. Alexa. Keep her-
  212. [03:06] <Tangent> Light.
  213. [03:06] <Tangent> Am...Lex...
  214. [03:06] <Tangent> Light.
  215. [03:06] <Tangent> :D
  216. [03:06] <Cierra-> Cute little birdy?
  217. [03:07] <Tangent> Chirp chirp.
  218. [03:07] <Cierra-> inb4 Alexa later finds the experiment tapes
  219. [03:07] <Tangent> hooboy
  220. [03:07] <Cierra-> And they were mind reading her
  221. [03:07] <Cierra-> The whole way through
  222. [03:07] <Tangent> >eventually
  223. [03:07] <Cierra-> That was also recorded
  224. [03:07] <Tangent> "Who...am...I?" *headtilt*
  225. [03:07] <Cierra-> *Cracker crumbs are set infront of the bird*
  226. [03:08] <Tangent> *happy chirping*
  227. [03:09] <Tangent> why do I think overcity pet shops need inspections :v
  228. [03:09] <Cierra-> Further mind reading signals are now cut off. All coherant human speech patterns stopped beyond this point.
  229. [03:09] <Tangent> >The soul readings otoh work just fine
  230. [03:10] <Cierra-> >The only reading on her soul is one word, Alexa, on said girl's birthday. The bird is unsure why this keeps croping up.
  231. [03:11] <Cierra-> >Make certain to feed extra bird seed to pacify any attempts to link to mental state.
  232. [03:11] <Tangent> >One of the Big Ones looks at her. Smells like cat. Fly away.
  233. [03:12] <Tangent> Yeah former beacongirl as a pet bird for a pointed lesson...
  234. [03:12] <Tangent> Sounds about right for ebon mint
  235. [03:12] <Cierra-> Not just a pet bird: Her soul burned by it's own power down till she was no longer human
  236. [03:12] <Tangent> mmm
  237. [03:12] <Cierra-> And any memory of her existance has been wiped clean of employees.
  238. [03:13] <Tangent> Well, her identity, sure. But no rumors would defeat the point~
  239. [03:13] <Cierra-> Well
  240. [03:13] <Cierra-> Hence why Alexa stumbles back upon the bird
  241. [03:13] <Cierra-> Because for some reason she heard that the bird's only thought it has sometimes is her name, as the only word it knows
  242. [03:14] <Cierra-> >So begins Alexa's quest with her new magically bonded familiar to figure out why she cares so much for this thing. Soon as it stops eating crackers.
  243. [03:14] <Cierra-> Alternative bad end
  244. [03:14] <Tangent> *headtilt* *blink blink blink* *flutters off*
  245. [03:14] <Cierra-> Is that Alexa is similarly beaten down into a cat
  246. [03:15] <Tangent> hoooboy
  247. [03:15] <Tangent> Amelia flat out loses her mind at that
  248. [03:15] <Cierra-> >This used to be a team of magical girls. Suggested not to leave in the same cage, as one shall become food for the other.
  249. [03:15] <Cierra-> >The bird regularly attempts to enter the cat's cage despite the cat likely going to eat them.
  250. [03:15] <Tangent> hehe
  251. [03:16] <Cierra-> >inb4 they leave Amelia's mind entirely intact while Alexa's is shattered instead, bird is now seen only as food.
  252. [03:16] <Tangent> "Yeah, in the first week it kept battering itself against the wall...Smelt like burnt feathers for a month."
  253. [03:16] <Tangent> "Every so often it actually gets in and whoever lost the bet has to go into the lion cage to get the egg out..."
  254. [03:17] <Tangent> [mental screaming intensifies]
  255. [03:18] <Cierra-> >Amelia is modified for one thing: Not being able to forget said past memories and revert to a bird. Every time she regenreates back into an egg, her memories are forcefully put back into her. All of them
  256. [03:18] <Tangent> Hoooboy
  257. [03:19] <Cierra-> She is not allowed to go insane, she only gets to watch her friend have that luxury, that easy way out
  258. [03:19] <Cierra-> And the most she can do for her once teammate is become their lunch
  259. [03:19] <Cierra-> Or, that is as much as their teammate sees them
  260. [03:19] <Cierra-> >inb4 she can't even do that because they'll burn the inside of the lion's throat and possibly kill said lion if they eat them before they regenerate into an egg
  261. [03:20] <Tangent> >It took two times before she realizes
  262. [03:20] <Cierra-> Bad end Amelia is truely suffering
  263. [03:20] <Tangent> mmm
  264. [03:20] <Cierra-> Almost as suffering as Lotte. Though
  265. [03:20] <Cierra-> Lotte is confirmed ded forever
  266. [03:20] <Cierra-> Unless time shenanigans is to bring her back
  267. [03:20] <Cierra-> RIP brooch girl
  268. [03:20] <Tangent> otoh rescued, soul-broken birdmelia still has potential for adorable.
  269. [03:20] <Cierra-> ...How would Amelia feel being turned into jewelery for Alexa?
  270. [03:20] <Tangent> Like she's effectively not even the same person at all, but bird in humanish form shenanigans
  271. [03:21] <Tangent> Small, small comfort- though probably trying to console Alexa and not being /utterly useless/ probably helps as much as its possible to in that situation
  272. [03:21] <Cierra-> (Potentially cursed jewelery that may or may not drain Alexa's lifeforce, but Amelia can't stop her nor warn her~
  273. [03:22] <Tangent> hooboy
  274. [03:22] <Cierra-> Also to be fair I mean, she'd be a useful little item
  275. [03:22] <Cierra-> Casting fireballs at things
  276. [03:22] <Cierra-> Just
  277. [03:22] <Cierra-> She kinda sets her wearer on fire
  278. [03:22] <Cierra-> A lot.
  279. [03:22] <Tangent> Ah. Broach of the Fiery Soul?
  280. [03:23] <Cierra-> Infact the wearer's new teammates keep telling her to get rid of it, it'll kill her at this rate, but she insists not
  281. [03:23] <Tangent> >When, eventually, she is looted much later, she's initially completely silent.
  282. [03:24] <Tangent> >The broach had a girl's voice, that might have been clear and inspiring once but has long been warped by bitterness and sheer, fiery spite...or maybe just disuse.
  283. [03:24] <Tangent> >It's too keen on burning things.
  284. [03:24] <Tangent> >Why even care anymore? Just burn it all.
  285. [03:25] <Tangent> >Let me burn it. It's a monster. It deserves it.
  286. [03:25] <Tangent> >THAT THING. KILL IT. KILL IT KILLKILLLKILLL.
  287. [03:29] <Tangent> Alternatively...
  288. [03:29] <Tangent> No soul drain.
  289. [03:29] <Tangent> Just her in her new form. Indefinitely. She tries to make the best of it...
  290. [03:29] <Tangent> But it gets to her. :D
  291. [03:30] <Tangent> She doesn't have the magic, not as she is, and neither can the others, but she knows how she could...
  292. [03:30] <Tangent> Fwoosh.
  293. [03:32] <Cierra-> It strangely protects innocent people. And burns anything that commits crimes or has any markings of being corrupt
  294. [03:32] <Cierra-> It's horribly trigger happy, and we don't know where it came from
  295. [03:33] <Cierra-> It's now on display, in a fireproof container, for the past twenty years.
  296. [03:33] <Tangent> "We have a pair of enchanted tongs for handling it."
  297. [03:33] <Cierra-> On unrelated news, move the sarcophagus to the 'haunt' exhibits
  298. [03:33] <Cierra-> Every now and then those telepaths keep saying they heard someone crying
  299. [03:34] <Cierra-> And we think it's them, move it with their parents and lets see if it fixes it maybe
  300. [03:34] <Cierra-> After all
  301. [03:34] <Cierra-> It's the only body here
  302. [03:34] <Tangent> Overcity Museum is such a happy place :D
  303. [03:34] <Cierra-> I should totally make an overcity museum quest
  304. [03:34] <Cierra-> ...After LibraryQuest and DungeonQuest for Riz I guess
  305. [03:34] <Tangent> Can't wait to get Amelia ready for a quest
  306. [03:34] <Cierra-> Also the Warforged Ebon Mint intermission will be fun
  307. [03:35] <Cierra-> I've finally figured otu what I'm doing there
  308. [03:35] <Tangent> Did someone say cleave and smite?
  309. [03:35] <Cierra-> Well, actually, yes
  310. [03:35] <Tangent> For a horrifying bad end, Familiarmila and jaded ebon mint employee Alexa is surprisingly cute.
  311. [03:35] <Cierra-> The job description says they have a problem of rampant machines and to eliminate them and rescue their agent there
  312. [03:35] <Tangent> Ah.
  313. [03:35] <Tangent> *signs up Amelia*
  314. [03:35] <Tangent> "What's the Ebon Mint anyway?"
  315. [03:36] <Cierra-> Their agent indeed is there. To reprogram the machines to no longer make these Terragosian worshiping figures
  316. [03:36] <Tangent> Amelia's heard just enough about black coins to know they exist.
  317. [03:36] <Tangent> And had one encounter with them.
  318. [03:36] <Tangent> She wants to protect Alexa from them at all costs.
  319. [03:36] <Cierra-> . . . And then the reprogrammed machines will want to eliminate all witnesses~
  320. [03:36] <Tangent> ohoho
  321. [03:36] <Cierra-> Kidding
  322. [03:36] <Cierra-> That isn't the twist
  323. [03:36] <Cierra-> The twist is worse
  324. [03:36] <Tangent> shhhh
  325. [03:36] <Tangent> :D
  326. [03:36] <Tangent> can't wait for Amelia to be questable again
  327. [03:36] <Cierra-> It's much more worse and probably contraversial
  328. [03:37] <Cierra-> (Especially for cases like Amelia where her power ties into her stuff hard)
  329. [03:39] <Tangent> Heh.
  330. [03:39] <Tangent> Honestly, she's actually somewhat vulnerable to that sort of thing.
  331. [03:39] <Cierra-> But yea
  332. [03:39] <Tangent> In that she's resistant to /external/ fuckery
  333. [03:39] <Tangent> but if something DOES mess with that yeahhhh
  334. [03:39] <Cierra-> Well, don't worry
  335. [03:39] <Cierra-> She is indeed fine physically
  336. [03:39] <Cierra-> Magically she might be... missing somethings.
  337. [03:40] <Tangent> Like she has strong convictions but at the end of the day her powers play merry hell with her everything
  338. [03:40] <Tangent> Heh.
  339. [03:40] <Cierra-> I want to say why it'll be big/prolly contraversial
  340. [03:40] <Cierra-> But I also don't
  341. [03:40] <Tangent> mmm
  342. [03:40] <Cierra-> Because that'll be big for you
  343. [03:40] <Tangent> Yeah no worries
  344. [03:40] <Tangent> We could go back to talking fun horrible fates worse than death
  345. [03:40] <Cierra-> Then again, it's a big change and I'd kinda have to warn folks ahead of time... but not
  346. [03:40] <Cierra-> Urgh
  347. [03:41] <Cierra-> Screw it, I might drop the surprise on you if I don't get to it/if it doesn't stick
  348. [03:41] <Tangent> mmmm
  349. [03:41] <Cierra-> >And then suddenly, just as the robot was seemingly going to kill her, it didn't. She felt fine. And no longer magical.
  350. [03:41] <Tangent> ahaha
  351. [03:41] <Cierra-> >The robot suddenly turns into a robotic copy of her. Now with her powers. But it's not a copy... it's her powers.
  352. [03:41] <Tangent> Oh joy.
  353. [03:41] <Tangent> The beaconbot.
  354. [03:42] <Cierra-> >On effective TPK the party is dumped in a dangerous place. With black coins
  355. [03:42] <Tangent> Well what follows is situational
  356. [03:42] <Tangent> verryyyy verry situational
  357. [03:42] <Cierra-> >Have fun surviving. Black coins allow ENTIRE CHARACTER RE-ROLLS. But then by the end they are left with the choice of keeping their new re-roll (with some more 'permanent' perks like allies possibly locked onto your character)
  358. [03:43] <Cierra-> Or their old powers
  359. [03:43] <Tangent> Genuine temptation for Amelia.
  360. [03:43] <Tangent> But if she did it, she'd hate herself for it~
  361. [03:43] <Cierra-> Be they taking them back from the bots that are so certian it's them, they're the real ones, why do these monsterous doppelgangers know everything about me
  362. [03:43] <Cierra-> I'm real I'm real, oh god stop ripping me apart!
  363. [03:43] <Cierra-> (Though
  364. [03:43] <Cierra-> in amelia's case)
  365. [03:43] <Cierra-> (That'd probably be the bot now having gone evn more insane)
  366. [03:44] <Cierra-> (And wanting to just cleave and smite all evil. ALL EVIL.)
  367. [03:44] <Cierra-> But yea. THe reason I say contraversial
  368. [03:44] <Cierra-> Is that A: Gives a 100% character re-roll for 'failing', possibly forced
  369. [03:44] <Cierra-> and then B: If they keep their new re-roll in the end
  370. [03:45] <Tangent> Funny thing.
  371. [03:45] <Tangent> Amelia might actually be the voice of /reason/. If Alexa's involved.
  372. [03:45] <Cierra-> (Again, I'd have to keep stuff like Allies/Big Friend locked on, and something like legacy would indeed be breakable for discard and drawing back your old powers, but yea
  373. [03:45] <Cierra-> Also woul dbe amusing
  374. [03:45] <Cierra-> Are you willing to be corrupted, possibly forever
  375. [03:45] <Cierra-> To not die?
  376. [03:45] <Cierra-> Do you really trust that giant insane screaming phoenix to keep you alive there
  377. [03:46] <Cierra-> Or should you use that coin now to make sure she doesn't turn on you first?
  378. [03:46] <Cierra-> Etc etc
  379. [03:46] <Tangent> (Amelia would have a 50/50 chance of stopping Alexa from BCing...by overdosing.
  380. [03:46] <Tangent> And she's terrified and horrified of BC which I'm sure will help the transformation be stable and safe.
  381. [03:47] <Tangent> The thing that had been Amelia screeched to the Overcity sky. That's not a magical girl. That's not a magical girl at all.
  382. [03:47] <Cierra-> I'd find the Amelia vs Pre-Amelia case to be amusing
  383. [03:47] <Cierra-> "DON'T WORRY ALEXA I'LL PROTECT YOU FROM YOUR DOPPELGANGER"
  384. [03:47] <Cierra-> As she beats the real one down
  385. [03:47] <Tangent> pffft
  386. [03:48] <Cierra-> That said, it'd be another case of creepy/oh god why too
  387. [03:48] <Tangent> "I'd never use something like-like-like-like the black coin!"
  388. [03:48] <Cierra-> As the characters would be left with a question
  389. [03:48] <Cierra-> Are they willing to kill themselves to get back, well, themselves?
  390. [03:48] <Tangent> "Alexa, what's wrong? You're crying...Please...I'm your frienfrienfrienfrien-d."
  391. [03:49] <Tangent> Robomelia probably absolutely *nails* the aura of self-righteous contempt for the corrupt. And fearlessness of maxsanctifiedmelia.
  392. [03:49] <Tangent> Being judgmental comes naturally to her after all~
  393. [03:51] <Cierra-> Yea
  394. [03:51] <Cierra-> Robomelia'd probably be the most horrifying case for them to deal with
  395. [03:51] <Cierra-> As unlike the others who may or may not
  396. [03:51] <Cierra-> Actually have second thoughts on killing the doppelgangers "Aww, it likes me?"
  397. [03:52] <Cierra-> I'd assume she'd go off the rails trying to kill herself/the others
  398. [03:52] <Cierra-> ...And then god knows
  399. [03:52] <Cierra-> If she'll go back to her fire powers
  400. [03:52] <Cierra-> Or if she'll opt to, I dunno
  401. [03:52] <Tangent> Robomelia would tomato in the mirror hilariously.
  402. [03:52] <Cierra-> Stick with the new powers of earth she got. She feels like she's a lot more stable and solid in her life now...
  403. [03:52] <Tangent> hehehe
  404. [03:52] <Cierra-> (inb4 oddball amelia)
  405. [03:52] <Tangent> Oddball: Ash.
  406. [03:52] <Cierra-> >And then she rolled elemental
  407. [03:53] <Cierra-> >Amelia literally burns to ash as her coin sets off the one magic she had so hard, the magic itself burned up.
  408. [03:53] <Tangent> oops
  409. [03:53] <Cierra-> >Monsterous Appearance, Nonpedalism, she's now just a ball of soot instead of a person. Whoops.
  410. [03:53] <Tangent> or less black comedy...
  411. [03:54] <Tangent> >Her hair's faded to a soft grey, and her outfit's simpler. Almost a shrine maiden's robe or a kimono. Her baton might have been something else once, but it works well enough.
  412. [03:54] <Cierra-> >It's either having her mental capacity. Or being a human again.
  413. [03:54] <Tangent> otoh she probably calms down a lot :V
  414. [03:54] <Cierra-> Prolly
  415. [03:54] <Cierra-> Hence the odd question/case/etc
  416. [03:54] <Cierra-> Of that moral dilemma
  417. [03:54] <Cierra-> Do you kill the bot that thinks it's you, that acts as if it's you, but slightly mindfucked
  418. [03:55] <Cierra-> Just because it took your place before it had your sentience?
  419. [03:55] <Tangent> Amelia is the sort of person who...uh
  420. [03:55] <Tangent> doesn't get on well with herself
  421. [03:55] <Tangent> so that probably factors into it too
  422. [03:55] <Cierra-> "STOP CALLING THE FAKE ALEXA. STOP CARING LIKE SHE IS THE REAL ONE MORE THAN I CARE. MINE. ALL MINE. EXCEPT THAT ONE THAT ISN'T HER. THEY DIE. *Bots head explodes as they charge into a now literally blind rage.*
  423. [03:56] <Cierra-> All the while Amelia is left wondering if getting back her self and person is worth it while this goes on~
  424. [03:56] <Tangent> Amelia doesn't like having her flaws shoved in her face either~
  425. [03:56] <Tangent> "You make me sick."
  426. [03:58] <Cierra-> As the bot repeats that phrase to her. Screaming.
  427. [03:58] <Cierra-> Again, would be an interesting question/case
  428. [03:58] <Cierra-> Inb4 the roles reverse
  429. [03:58] <Cierra-> And Amelia is now the monsterous girl
  430. [03:58] <Tangent> oh boy that's going to be a lot of bile
  431. [03:58] <Cierra-> And Alexa goes more paladin/insane from magic as they try to also keep them from slipping off into monsterousness
  432. [03:59] <Tangent> ...hehehe
  433. [03:59] <Tangent> Nah, the way Jran plays Alexa...
  434. [03:59] <Tangent> she's kind of doomed to black coin
  435. [03:59] <Cierra-> Well
  436. [03:59] <Cierra-> That's the odd/fun case though
  437. [03:59] <Tangent> she'd do it to keep Amelia company I suspect
  438. [03:59] <Cierra-> In a bad end like that
  439. [03:59] <Tangent> Because the only reason she /hadn't/ was that Amelia was begging her not to.
  440. [03:59] <Cierra-> The players are left to black coin themselves to survive. Maybe.
  441. [03:59] <Cierra-> If they don't, they might die
  442. [03:59] <Cierra-> If/when they do, they re-roll anything that isn't nailed down as required for the character
  443. [04:00] <Cierra-> as in, is so much so that it's externally a thing
  444. [04:00] <Tangent> yeahhh Amelia won't let Alexa go through that
  445. [04:00] <Cierra-> Their character as a person of course stays the same
  446. [04:00] <Cierra-> But they are now literally re-rolling. And no point buy allowed for extra fun
  447. [04:00] <Tangent> as in there's precedent for Amelia deciding keeping Alexa safe mattered more than what she wanted
  448. [04:00] <Tangent> ie: she threw a black coin in the river when she detected evil
  449. [04:00] <Cierra-> It then also comes down to the case
  450. [04:00] <Cierra-> Between their 'old' self
  451. [04:01] <Tangent> Amelia could and would be desperate enough to double black coin
  452. [04:01] <Cierra-> A non-corrupt coin'd girl
  453. [04:01] <Tangent> to stop Alexa from doing it
  454. [04:01] <Cierra-> Would... have to deal with their old self. As such.
  455. [04:01] <Cierra-> A non-corrupt would have far better chacne to talk it out
  456. [04:01] <Tangent> mmmm
  457. [04:01] <Cierra-> But if they are like, say
  458. [04:01] <Cierra-> Amelia
  459. [04:01] <Tangent> fire and fire
  460. [04:01] <Cierra-> "OH GOD ANOTHER ME, ITS A DOPELGANGER."
  461. [04:01] <Cierra-> *Slices the powerless amelia human*
  462. [04:01] <Tangent> ehhhh
  463. [04:01] <Tangent> Paladinmelia is self-righteous and trigger happy
  464. [04:02] <Tangent> but even at her worst, she's not KILL NORMAL HUMANS
  465. [04:02] <Cierra-> "WE'RE UNDER ATTACK" *FIRE*
  466. [04:02] <Cierra-> "Amelia one of those was a person" "It looked like me, it was a doppelganger I swear!"
  467. [04:02] <Tangent> Full paladinmelia is...kinda a piece of work.
  468. [04:02] <Tangent> Twinquest.
  469. [04:02] <Cierra-> Yea
  470. [04:02] <Cierra-> Wanting that to finish/continue
  471. [04:02] <Cierra-> So to see how that goes
  472. [04:02] <Cierra-> and also have Chisa befriend the Amelia
  473. [04:03] <Tangent> The Amy and Mila.
  474. [04:03] <Cierra-> Only so one more person can react to the horrible fate that will in the end befall her.
  475. [04:03] <Tangent> Amy's a bit more human than she lets on or even realizes herself.
  476. [04:03] <Cierra-> >Investigator chisa investigates a corrupt pet shop.
  477. [04:03] <Tangent> *Chirp?*
  478. [04:03] <Cierra-> >Finds a bird, why does it have part of amelia's soul?'
  479. [04:03] <Tangent> hehehe
  480. [04:03] <Cierra-> >Better keep it around incase I need to re-attach it later
  481. [04:03] <Cierra-> >Never finds out that's not a piece: That's all that's LEFT.
  482. [04:03] <Tangent> pfft
  483. [04:04] <Tangent> otoh familiar get :V
  484. [04:04] <Tangent> ...Immortal familiar at that.
  485. [04:04] <Tangent> No afterlife for you~
  486. [04:04] <Tangent> But yeahhh Amelia's soul is currently a right mess
  487. [04:05] <Cierra-> Yep
  488. [04:05] <Tangent> The reason Amy is actually somewhat human is that uh
  489. [04:05] <Cierra-> Hence why re-fused chisa
  490. [04:05] <Cierra-> Would resort to literally shooting Amelia's soul to break the beacon'ification part
  491. [04:05] <Tangent> Probably have mixed results.
  492. [04:05] <Cierra-> Because if it gets any worse than it is now there's not going to BE an amelia
  493. [04:05] <Tangent> Well.
  494. [04:05] <Tangent> There would.
  495. [04:05] <Tangent> Be something that answered to that name.
  496. [04:06] <Cierra-> There's just be, well
  497. [04:06] <Cierra-> As chisa says
  498. [04:06] <Cierra-> "A flamy mad fire-swordy stick thing that resembles a girl and person!"
  499. [04:06] <Tangent> Roughly humanoid, maybe full armor...
  500. [04:06] <Tangent> or with the face showing
  501. [04:06] <Tangent> whichever's more disturbing
  502. [04:06] <Cierra-> >Inb4 only armor
  503. [04:06] <Cierra-> >When opened up there's only fire inside
  504. [04:07] <Tangent> It collapses in a pile of rags and ashes that blow away on the wind a moment later.
  505. [04:07] <Tangent> >Amelia didn't realize she was signing up to not be a hero of justice but the witch king of agamar :v
  506. [04:08] <Tangent> But yeah the funny thing is
  507. [04:08] <Tangent> Amy right now is a lot more human than she realized.
  508. [04:08] <Cierra-> Yea
  509. [04:08] <Tangent> In her chat with Alexa
  510. [04:08] <Cierra-> Hence why, while one clone wouldn't jump to a conclusion one way or another
  511. [04:08] <Cierra-> When/if Chisa fuses and gets both sides of the picture together
  512. [04:09] <Cierra-> "HOLY FUCK I NEED TO FIX THIS BEFORE THIS MELDS BACK INTO ONE THING"
  513. [04:09] <Tangent> Mila...Mila is just scared. Lost. Directionless.
  514. [04:09] <Tangent> Earnest and keen to Make a Difference.
  515. [04:09] <Cierra-> Well, in that regard
  516. [04:09] <Cierra-> Chisa/Amelia get along well
  517. [04:10] <Cierra-> As Chisa is similarly split into her optimistic heroism and loudmouth side
  518. [04:10] <Tangent> "I want to protect people from magic. I want to do this. It sounds like it really /matters/. Besides, magic...if it's real...I want to know what it's really like."
  519. [04:10] <Cierra-> ...And her gritty self aware self loathing "Fuck putting on a smile" side.
  520. [04:10] <Tangent> Either Amy or Mila is going to wonder out loud just /what sort of person/ throws their whole life away willingly for something like this.
  521. [04:11] <Tangent> With contempt in no uncertain terms
  522. [04:11] <Tangent> ...heh, stray thought.
  523. [04:11] <Cierra-> But yea, we'll see how it goes~
  524. [04:12] <Tangent> Birdmelia storyline would by necessity be after Amelia'd built her identity and self back up.
  525. [04:12] <Tangent> Resolved to be a real hero, because she wants to do the right thing and not because of a mind-whammy.
  526. [04:12] <Tangent> To help people because it's right, not out of ego~
  527. [04:12] <Tangent> Probably with some inspirational bgm or something xD
  528. [04:12] <Cierra-> Inspirtaional BGM
  529. [04:13] <Tangent> To protect that precious smile and all that
  530. [04:13] <Cierra-> only to cut off after she's been impaled
  531. [04:13] <Cierra-> And/or shot so hard she loses an arm
  532. [04:13] <Tangent> Amelia had that nightmare~
  533. [04:13] <Tangent> "nightmare"
  534. [04:13] <Tangent> Actually bad end amelias meeting might be hilarious
  535. [04:14] <Tangent> a handful of beacons glaring at the monstergirls
  536. [04:14] <Tangent> a suit of armor everyone gives a wide berth...except for the random goose-sized phoenix using the helmet as a perch.
  537. [04:14] <Cierra-> >Goose
  538. [04:14] <Tangent> The confused and amnesiac schoolgirl...
  539. [04:14] <Cierra-> >implying there's that much of her soul left
  540. [04:14] <Cierra-> >It's more the size of a robin at best
  541. [04:15] <Tangent> pfft
  542. [04:15] <Tangent> Robin then xD
  543. [04:15] <Tangent> Though give it a few centuries... :V
  544. [04:15] <Cierra-> >inb4 there's both robbin and goose sized amelias
  545. [04:15] <Tangent> Though at that point it'd be a familiar for longer than it was ever a person
  546. [04:16] <Cierra-> >The Goose sized bird is just to give a false hope spot for the robin sized one, who is sooner doomed to be snuffed out than grow back to any size close to that
  547. [04:16] <Tangent> heh
  548. [04:16] <Tangent> though tbh goose or robin is a bit academic which...Just the image of one on a perch is more fun
  549. [04:17] <Tangent> "Oh, that's Mi. A friend gave her to me back when I was starting out...She's quite tame."
  550. [04:18] <Tangent> Although robin as the one that got the memories back and is just a spark might be fun.
  551. [04:18] <Cierra-> "Except if you mention the word Alex or anything like th- oh there she goes, flailing around frantically looking for something...."
  552. [04:18] <Cierra-> Also yea
  553. [04:19] <Cierra-> "WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE DOOMED TO BE SANE, YET THE SMALLEST ONE. THIS IS THE MOST UNFAIR THING EVER."
  554. [04:19] <Tangent> *squeak*
  555. [04:19] <Cierra-> *The others don't get her and just gives her crackers*
  556. [04:19] <Tangent> pfft
  557. [04:19] <Cierra-> *She begrudgingly accepts because if she doesn't die for a while she can forget some of her troubles and what it was to be human*
  558. [04:20] <Cierra-> Also: Fire mouse amelia?
  559. [04:20] <Tangent> pffft
  560. [04:20] <Cierra-> Dunno how that'd come along, but a squeak is more mouse than bird
  561. [04:20] <Tangent> yeah, *chirp*
  562. [04:20] <Tangent> >You can tell Robinmelia's been through some shit because she's actually fairly level headed and learned how to snark.
  563. [04:20] <Tangent> >Yeah, it was that or go crazy AGAIN.
  564. [04:21] <Tangent> *chirp chirp*
  565. [04:21] <Cierra-> >Amelia knows she must go and warn Alexa, else her friend shall suffer a similar fate, as she rushes off to- wait is that cheese? No, bad mouse brain! Stop going for the cheese. STOP. Oh wait it's swiss... okay maybe after this block."
  566. [04:21] <Tangent> MOUSE END
  567. [04:21] <Cierra-> Meanwhile
  568. [04:21] <Cierra-> I'm not sure what bad ends my girls shall get into
  569. [04:21] <Tangent> mm?
  570. [04:22] <Tangent> Alternatively...Infectious clockwork.
  571. [04:22] <Cierra-> None of them even have a way out except Psyrien
  572. [04:22] <Cierra-> Who has the most... cheat'y way out
  573. [04:22] <Cierra-> In that she less 'dies' proper
  574. [04:22] <Tangent> hehehe
  575. [04:22] <Cierra-> more overclocks so hard
  576. [04:22] <Cierra-> She goes back to being an eldritch, non-physical abomination
  577. [04:22] <Tangent> cool
  578. [04:22] <Cierra-> As her physical form just kinda
  579. [04:22] <Cierra-> Gives out
  580. [04:22] <Cierra-> (Probably with it's head exploding)
  581. [04:22] <Tangent> Clockwork-infected Amelia would be...superheated metal blades worked into her steampunk frame.
  582. [04:23] <Cierra-> Also clockwork Amelia? You mean the one that'll happen if you bad end on the Warforge Quest?
  583. [04:23] <Tangent> Ah.
  584. [04:23] <Cierra-> Well
  585. [04:23] <Cierra-> Bad end before the other bad end
  586. [04:23] <Tangent> Also probably faceless mask.
  587. [04:23] <Tangent> Maybe vaguely avian head shape?
  588. [04:24] <Tangent> Like if someone made a suit of form-fitting armor into an automoton?
  589. [04:24] <Tangent> ...heh, maybe a parrying shield built into the other arm...
  590. [04:24] <Cierra-> >my arm is not an arm, but a shield. I used to have hands, but now I only have weapons.
  591. [04:24] <Tangent> Built for purpose. :V
  592. [04:25] <Tangent> Not really too much of a change, she's already used to getting programmed for >PRIMARY DIRECTIVE
  593. [04:25] <Cierra-> >My weapon used to be a person. Their name used to be Alexa. I don't like hitting things with my weapon.
  594. [04:25] <Tangent> >Alexa's reinforcement
  595. [04:25] <Tangent> >Not the shield
  596. [04:25] <Cierra-> The shield used to be her body. The soul is in the weapon
  597. [04:25] <Cierra-> So it doesn't break.
  598. [04:25] <Tangent> ah
  599. [04:25] <Tangent> oh dear
  600. [04:26] <Cierra-> The shield's already been broken and replaced so many times
  601. [04:26] <Cierra-> There is no body left for her to go back to anymore.
  602. [04:26] <Cierra-> Just what holds her soul.
  603. [04:26] <Cierra-> >Scrap-Amelia is defeated, her weapon is looted, Scrap Amelia is rebuilt, weapon no longer has Alexa.
  604. [04:26] <Tangent> >a long, long time later, adventurers finally defeat the automoton. It clutches its sword as it falls, fires guttering out. That...must have been steam escaping as the sword and its head shatter on the pavement. Not a sigh.
  605. [04:26] <Tangent> ...
  606. [04:27] <Tangent> >and that was how a murderous deranged clockwork android stalked the overcity
  607. [04:27] <Cierra-> >For some reason it only hunts those with longswords.
  608. [04:27] <Tangent> >magical robot serial killer
  609. [04:27] <Tangent> Welp.
  610. [04:27] <Cierra-> >It doesn't know that Alexa's form was smelted down and reforged into a hammer
  611. [04:27] <Tangent> Talk about bad ends.
  612. [04:27] <Cierra-> >She's passed over the wielder of Alexa many times now
  613. [04:27] <Tangent> >In its frustration, it takes out its failure on the bodies of those it defeats.
  614. [04:27] <Cierra-> >She just never knew it. And the weapon can't speak.
  615. [04:28] <Tangent> >The more damage she takes, the more and more of the fire inside the machine's exposed, and the more...animated it gets.
  616. [04:28] <Cierra-> But yea
  617. [04:28] <Cierra-> I don't have many bad ends for my chars in mind as it is
  618. [04:28] <Tangent> >GET HER BACK GET HER BACK
  619. [04:28] <Tangent> And mmm
  620. [04:29] <Cierra-> Like
  621. [04:29] <Tangent> they're kinda an acquired taste
  622. [04:29] <Cierra-> The only one I have in mind maybe
  623. [04:29] <Tangent> Amelia's just...kinda inherently prone to doom
  624. [04:29] <Cierra-> Is Ceilia being re-corrupted
  625. [04:29] <Cierra-> And then being back to being a caterpillar.
  626. [04:29] <Tangent> I think Nu-Amelia'll be more fun to write.
  627. [04:29] <Cierra-> And then legacy'd
  628. [04:29] <Tangent> She'll be more human.
  629. [04:29] <Tangent> More hopefully sympathetic.
  630. [04:29] <Tangent> Genuinely earnest.
  631. [04:30] <Tangent> Maybe even daring to be optimistic again.
  632. [04:30] <Cierra-> Optimistic enough to crumble?
  633. [04:30] <Cierra-> (Also, another case that might've been bad end if not fixed?)
  634. [04:30] <Tangent> Well.
  635. [04:30] <Cierra-> Chisa was converted to a pile of bugs. Not just one, apile.
  636. [04:30] <Tangent> ....ooof
  637. [04:30] <Cierra-> >The team ran away or something
  638. [04:30] <Cierra-> >The bugs that made Chisa wiggled and scampered mostly aimlessly
  639. [04:31] <Cierra-> >She is now scattered amongst small colonies of herself.
  640. [04:31] <Cierra-> >Only barely aware that they were once one girl. T
  641. [04:31] <Tangent> Oh dearrr.
  642. [04:31] <Cierra-> >The bugs are immortal and respawn much as magical girls do, but quicker. But still farther away.
  643. [04:31] <Tangent> ack
  644. [04:31] <Tangent> Overcity's probably filled with those disaster cases.
  645. [04:32] <Cierra-> I was kinda considering to also do another case
  646. [04:32] <Cierra-> erm
  647. [04:32] <Cierra-> Character/thing
  648. [04:32] <Tangent> to the point of an entire subpopulation of random encounters might be connected to that sort of thing
  649. [04:32] <Tangent> mmm?
  650. [04:32] <Cierra-> Maybe just re-using Riz
  651. [04:32] <Cierra-> But basically looking into bad ends and trying to, well
  652. [04:32] <Cierra-> Un-bad end them
  653. [04:32] <Tangent> Mmm.
  654. [04:32] <Tangent> >Amelia volunteers
  655. [04:32] <Tangent> >She refuses to let Alexa tag along.
  656. [04:32] <Tangent> >She stops sleeping at nights.
  657. [04:32] <Tangent> >Mostly.
  658. [04:33] <Cierra-> "Yea, I need you to go and collect about 2862 pieces. They're all yellow plates, and some will be shattered so uh, find the pieces of them. They all used to be one waitress that a witch cursed, and I need to find every single plate to fix her."
  659. [04:33] <Tangent> >The one time she slept, Alexa found her desperately racing to her bedside at 3 in the morning.
  660. [04:33] <Tangent> >She wouldn't say what she'd been dreaming of.
  661. [04:33] <Tangent> ooof
  662. [04:33] <Tangent> Amelia doesn't handle failure well either
  663. [04:33] <Tangent> let alone when the stakes are that high~
  664. [04:34] <Tangent> >around the time she held a stall owner at swordpoint screaming about yellow plates, she realized the stress might have been getting to her a bit.
  665. [04:34] <Cierra-> "If that one's too hard, there is another case, go to the water purification plant... here's a soul detector. A girl was melted down and sent down the drains, this is the only chance we can find her till we need to wait for precipitaiion to brin gher down, and unlike the normal world, she might drift off for an infinite amount of time another way so... this might be the only chance we got."
  666. [04:34] <Tangent> >They need her help. She has to do something they're counting on her WHAT GOOD ARE YOU IF YOU CAN'T EVEN
  667. [04:35] <Tangent> I imagine that job has high burnout
  668. [04:35] <Cierra-> "Well, fine I'll get the water and soul girls, as well as the time ones for that one. Kay, instead we got one, it seems someone got turned into a cake. Don't ask why. But you need to find her, she's in the dump somewhere. I don't know which dump. But she expires in about six hours and she'll be stuck like that forever after that point. And by stuck I mean rotting away into a pile of mold and mush. And no
  669. [04:35] <Cierra-> , I can't fix that."
  670. [04:36] <Tangent> "I...I can't..." Amelia shakes her head. "I'm on it." She said, more loudly.
  671. [04:36] <Cierra-> "Okay fine I'll go get the ones with absolute direction, since you brought up that she was last seen at a birthday party and some folks took pieces home, she might be in a bunch of dumps."
  672. [04:36] <Tangent> ...heh
  673. [04:37] <Tangent> Amelia not getting herself instakilled is really just a slower burnout isn't it
  674. [04:37] <Cierra-> "Here's another job then, uh, lets see an easy one... well, here's one, an easy one. A girl was compressed down into the size of a needle by a witch... she last was seen around a farm, and the farm has plenty of livestock. That eat hay. You can probably guess where the witch hid her."
  675. [04:38] <Tangent> Amelia probably has a stab on sight instinct towards witches by that point lol
  676. [04:38] <Tangent> and is thoroughly, entirely disillusioned about magic
  677. [04:38] <Tangent> >She actually only trusts her own magic because while it's potent stuff, it's at least hers
  678. [04:39] <Cierra-> "Well, here's another one instead. We found a witch... she claims she wasn't a witch but they're going to burn her at the stake. You need to clear her name by finding out who turned her into a witch, and good luck because the only thing that's been around her in the past few weeks has been cows and the occasional squirrel."
  679. [04:40] <Tangent> *twitch twitch* "On. It."
  680. [04:40] <Tangent> *literally drags girl in*
  681. [04:41] <Cierra-> "Here's another one then, you know the carnivale right? Well, it seems the last few girls I sent to find someone found it. The hard way. The last one there called at least and I tracked it down, the girls have been turned into parts for a game. A dart toss. They are the balloons for the dart toss, and when you hit one of them, it turns you into the replacement balloon... There's a lot of these stalls so
  682. [04:41] <Cierra-> good luck."
  683. [04:43] <Tangent> "So, uh, the last girl I sent...She snapped. Tried to burn the place down. We think she still has the game on her so, you should probably go get it back..."
  684. [04:43] <Tangent> :D
  685. [04:43] <Tangent> BAD ENDDDD
  686. [04:44] <Tangent> Fun fact: the wendigo Amelia and Alexa killed for their first mission was a normal person who wandered into overcity and got near a black coin
  687. [04:45] <Cierra-> "Oh good you're back from the last job. Well, five more came in, do you want the one related to a class of girls being turned into pidgeons, the neighboring class turned into one... creature, the one where a bakery's goods turned their bakers into pastries and are selling them, the one that feeds children magical gingerbread houses to fatten them up to make bigger houses, or the one related to a girl tur
  688. [04:45] <Cierra-> ned into a clock. The last one though she kind of got disassembled and re-assembled. Into about sixty clocks. If you get the wrong piece from a clock it won't turn back, which isn't so bad if we miss an arm, but it's bad if her heart is still a screw."
  689. [04:46] <Tangent> hehehe
  690. [04:46] <Tangent> This seems like a good way to drive girls crazy :V
  691.
  692. [13:39] <Tangent> How'd Alexa interact with the ebon mint?
  693. [13:39] <Tangent> Also Kaji helped come up with yet another BAD END idea
  694. [13:40] <Tangent> :D
  695. [13:40] <Jran-Kri> Alexa has never directly interacted with the Ebon Mint, but Kreimhild has, and has assured her that they're not exactly as bad as everyone says they are. Therefore she's more willing to hear them out and consider going in debt and not actively hostile.
  696. [13:40] <Jran-Kri> Do tell!
  697. [13:40] <Tangent> Mmm will do!
  698. [13:40] <Tangent> just a bit busyish but it's kind of hilarious
  699. [13:41] <Jran-Kri> Natch.
  700. [13:52] == Jran-Kri has changed nick to Jran-Away
  701. [14:18] <Tangent> But ya it can be summed up as "Amelia picks a fight with the Mint, loses."
  702. [14:54] == Jran-Away has changed nick to Jran-Kri
  703. [14:54] <Tangent> wb
  704. [14:55] <Jran-Kri> Sorry, had to take care of something.
  705. [14:55] <Tangent> no worries xD
  706. [14:55] <Tangent> still busy here heh
  707. [14:55] <Jran-Kri> Anyhow: the Codex Astartes would not support this action.
  708. [14:56] <Jran-Kri> Fair enough.
  709. [15:41] <Tangent> But yeahh the idea boils down to Amelia screwing up badly enough to get captured, first corrupted, and basically made an example of/experimented on. In that the end result wouldn't be humanoid anymore or even remember her own name~
  710. [15:41] <Tangent> Turns out that when your magic involves your soul as fuel, winding up as a guinea pig is a bad idea :D
  711. [15:42] <Tangent> >Inb4 Amelia is put into so much cycles of burning up herself and back that by the time they're done, she's reduced to a bird and only a non-magical bird.
  712. [15:42] <Tangent> >The egg in the jar cracked. A small, bedragged bird, a wrinkled, featherless thing, crawled free, feebly...then abruptly caught fire again. When the smoke faded, the egg was restored...
  713. [15:42] <Tangent> [02:45] <Ceilia> That would be a horrible little fate for Amelia [02:45] <Ceilia> Her soul and energy reduced to a pittiful level that is equal to a baby phoenix. That unlike a baby phoenix isn't growing. Therefore it dies out. But revives itself. Only to hatch and die again [02:45] <Ceilia> Any attempts to mercy kill her just respawns her
  714. [15:43] <Tangent> >inb4 she's demoted to a mahou's familiar as her memories slowly are regenerated back
  715. [15:43] <Tangent> [02:46] <Tangent> "Yeah, she's called Amelia. We rescued her from the Mint, no idea what they were doing to her there..." [02:47] <Tangent> The bird tilted its head, letting out a soft chirp at the sight of the newcomer. [02:47] <Tangent> "Aw, she likes you!"
  716. [15:44] <Tangent> >Her name was Amelia. She was fighting for Alexa, her best friend, and to keep everyone else safe. She had black hair, and blue eyes, and was going to be a knight for justice no matter what they did to her. And when she got out of here, she was going to set every one of these stinking things on fire.
  717. [15:44] <Tangent> Light. Her name was Amelia. She was fighting for Alexa, her friend, and to keep everyone safe. She had black hair, blue eyes, and was a knight no matter what-
  718. [15:44] <Tangent> Light. [03:06] <Tangent> Her name was Amelia. She was fighting for Alexa and to keep everyone safe. She...she was a knight, no matter what-
  719. [15:44] <Tangent> [03:06] <Tangent> Light. [03:06] <Tangent> Her name's Amelia. Fight for Alexa. Keep her safe.
  720. [15:44] <Tangent> [03:06] <Tangent> Light. [03:06] <Tangent> Amelia. Alexa. Keep her-
  721. [15:44] <Tangent> [03:06] <Tangent> Light. [03:06] <Tangent> Am...Lex... [03:06] <Tangent> Light.
  722. [15:45] <Tangent> Chirp chirp :V
  723. [15:45] <Jran-Kri> noooooooo
  724. [15:45] <Jran-Kri> ; ~ ;
  725. [15:46] <Tangent> OTOH there was a hilarious hypothetical where /Alexa/ wound up working for the mint...right around when Ameia starts going scorched earth on them xD
  726. [15:46] <Tangent> How'd that go?
  727. [15:46] <Jran-Kri> ha ha ha
  728. [15:47] <Jran-Kri> Well, if Alexa were working for the Mint, chances are she'd be very confident they were on the up and up. So if she ever realized that Amelia was the one mucking everything up, she'd just have to make Amelia see the light!
  729. [15:47] <Jran-Kri> Or the darkness, in this case.
  730. [15:48] <Tangent> Amelia gets decidedly sidetracked from her "Burn down everything" approach by "Rescue Alexa!"
  731. [15:48] <Tangent> :D
  732. [15:48] <Jran-Kri> But Alexa doesn't neeeeed rescuing! She's perfectly happy as she is!
  733. [15:48] <Tangent> Oh no, they got to her!
  734. [15:49] <Tangent> Save that precious smile!
  735. [15:49] <Jran-Kri> But she's perfectly happy!
  736. [15:51] <Tangent> She's been tricked!
  737. [15:52] <Tangent> [02:38] <Tangent> "Welcome aboard, Ms. Aldrich. You start working off your debt today." [02:38] <Ceilia> And then her first job is to get rid of that pesky beacon girl that's been rampaging at them [02:39] <Ceilia> As the picture comes up of Amelia [02:39] <Ceilia> By force or corruption~
  738. [15:52] <Jran-Kri> Nay, Amelia has been tricked! The Ebon Mint only want to help!
  739. [15:52] <Tangent> [02:39] <Ceilia> >inb4 she corrupts and then they capture her to experiment all the best corruption they got on the fire mahou [02:40] <Tangent> Oh *dear*. Amelia almost certainly still would go for *rescue* if she sees Alexa presumably /tricked/ into it. [02:42] <Ceilia> Well [02:42] <Ceilia> Technically she wasn't tricked [02:43] <Tangent> Amelia thinks the world of Alexa~ [02:43] <Ceilia> She did the job as they said and they did indeed take her in [02:43] <Ceili
  740. [15:53] <Tangent> [02:43] <Ceilia> They just promoted her to the top of the experimental test subject group [02:43] <Ceilia> instead of just having them work together
  741. [15:53] <Tangent> And heh.
  742. [15:53] <Tangent> It'd take a /hell/ of a party trick for Amelia to look past the whole "Black Coins are bad mojo" thing :D
  743. [15:53] <Jran-Kri> Quite possibly!
  744. [15:54] <Tangent> And the more she learns about the mint the dimmer her view of them would get~
  745. [15:54] <Jran-Kri> It's true, it's true.
  746. [15:54] <Jran-Kri> Hmmm.
  747. [15:54] <Jran-Kri> Alexa would be quite torn. On the one hand, Amelia. On the other, Kreimhild assuring her this is all for the bluebird's good~
  748. [15:54] <Tangent> hehehe
  749. [15:54] <Tangent> Oh?
  750. [15:56] <Jran-Kri> Well, of course it would be Kreimhild making all of the introductions and helping her along every step of the way. That's what she's there for, after all~
  751. [15:56] <Tangent> Oh dear~
  752. [15:57] <Tangent> Why do I suspect Kreim wouldn't exactly be heartbroken by a certain bluebird ending up a bit more literally that way :D
  753. [15:57] <Jran-Kri> Of course she's sympathize with Alexa, and hug and console her and tell her it'll all be all right. But the bluebird is, shall we say, not her top priority.
  754. [15:58] <Tangent> Mmmm
  755. [15:59] <Tangent> Also, >some time later...
  756. [15:59] <Tangent> "Oh, that's Mi. A friend gave her to me back when I was starting out...She's quite tame."
  757. [15:59] <Tangent> "Except if you mention the word Alex or anything like th- oh there she goes, flailing around frantically looking for something...."
  758. [15:59] <Tangent> ;d
  759. [16:00] <Tangent> >your character is now a perk :V
  760. [16:00] <Jran-Kri> aaaaaaah
  761. [16:00] <Jran-Kri> That is actually a fun idea.
  762. [16:01] <Jran-Kri> >character dies
  763. [16:01] <Jran-Kri> >next character has a parrot familiar that occasionally spouts off one of the old character's lines
  764. [16:01] <Tangent> pffft
  765. [16:01] <Tangent> Bonus points for mildly mind whammied ebon mint employee Alexa and glorified perk birdmelia somehow winding up as a duo again :p
  766. [16:03] <Jran-Kri> ha ha ha
  767. [16:03] <Tangent> *chirp?*
  768. [16:03] <Jran-Kri> Corrupted Alexa would be totally fucking nuts, on that note.
  769. [16:03] <Tangent> Oh? xD
  770. [16:04] <Jran-Kri> Once she actually had the power to turn her impotent rage into potent rage, she would abuse it at every opportunity.
  771. [16:04] <Tangent> Oh dear.
  772. [16:04] <Tangent> Probably for the best Amelia's mind went before she saw it :V
  773. [16:05] <Jran-Kri> Oh yes.
  774. [16:05] <Tangent> On a related note, corrupted Amelia's a mess of probable self-loathing, spite, and indiscriminate fire. THE PALADIN FALLLLLLLLS. :D
  775. [16:05] <Jran-Kri> oh no
  776. [16:05] <Tangent> Because well...she can't sell it to herself at all as being good or right, the way she did being puppetted by beacon
  777. [16:06] <Jran-Kri> Nonsense, you can always twist your point of view. Just ask Kreimhild!
  778. [16:06] <Tangent> pfft
  779. [16:06] <Tangent> But yeah regardless of specific outcome, >corrupted Alexa and Amelia going MAXIMUM SAVE HERRRRRRR might be fun
  780. [16:06] <Tangent> Especially if it did end in tragedy :V
  781. [16:06] <Jran-Kri> "What? No, it is not bad at all! Yes, it was murder -- but murder is only bad if you are a bad PERSON!"
  782. [16:07] <Jran-Kri> It's true. Sounds like a fun time!
  783. [16:07] <Jran-Kri> Final Boss: Kriemhild.
  784. [16:08] <Tangent> hehe
  785. [16:09] <Tangent> But yeah, if Kreimhild'd seem okay with Alexa being nutso...
  786. [16:09] <Tangent> Yeah, that sets Amelia off completely. She can't accept that it's what Alexa wants...so it has to be Kreim's fault. That monster. :V
  787. [16:10] <Tangent> Plus seems like a situation where Amelia's normally dubious judgement and planning gets even worse in her desperation
  788. [16:10] <Jran-Kri> But Kreimhild just wants to help! And Alexa knows it! Kreimhild is her dear trusted friend~
  789. [16:10] <Tangent> >SHE DID THIS TO YOU
  790. [16:10] <Jran-Kri> ha ha ha
  791. [16:10] <Tangent> >We can fix this
  792. [16:11] <Jran-Kri> Alexa made the choice! Kreimhild just gave her a little push~
  793. [16:11] <Tangent> She didn't know better!
  794. [16:11] <Tangent> Yes, Amelia'd be in so many levels of denial that she'd be shopping for headdresses
  795. [16:11] <Tangent> :V
  796. [16:12] <Jran-Kri> ha ha ha
  797. [16:12] <Jran-Kri> Alexa just wants to be corruption buddies~
  798. [16:12] <Tangent> hehehe
  799. [16:12] <Tangent> There may be a mild breakdown in communication for acceptable endgames between them :V
  800. [16:13] <Tangent> SAVE THAT PRECIOUS SMILEEEEEEEEE
  801. [16:14] <Jran-Kri> They have the same goal! Just different definitions of "save."
  802. [16:14] <Tangent> Mmmm
  803. [16:21] <Tangent> Actually how hilariously /would/ a birdmelia situation go
  804. [16:22] <Jran-Kri> Very.
  805. [16:22] <Jran-Kri> Kreimhild would have to teach her to fly~
  806. [16:22] <Tangent> Pfft.
  807. [16:22] <Tangent> Though uh, basically the character'd be dead at that point.
  808. [16:22] <Tangent> chirp chirp :V
  809. [16:23] <Jran-Kri> Oh, right.
  810. [16:23] <Jran-Kri> Well, she'll teach what's left of her to fly.
  811. [16:24] <Tangent> heh
  812. [16:24] <Tangent> Poor Alexa though. :V
  813. [16:31] <Jran-Kri> It's true.
  814. [16:31] <Jran-Kri> She'll probably spend the rest of her life trying to unlobotomize Amelia.
  815. [16:31] <Tangent> *Chirp?* *headtilt*
  816. [16:31] <Tangent> oh no
  817. [16:32] <Tangent> most depressing familiar perk ever :V
  818. [16:32] <Jran-Kri> The worst.
  819. [16:33] <Tangent> otoh she probably has plenty of job satisfaction :V
  820. [16:33] <Jran-Kri> ha ha ha
  821. [16:33] <Tangent> And plenty of changes at stress relief
  822. [16:33] <Tangent> *chances
  823. [16:33] <Jran-Kri> "Good job, Amelia! Mm. I love the smell of napalm in the morning."
  824. [16:34] <Jran-Kri> >Alexa starts feeding her bird treats after performing Mint tasks.
  825. [16:34] <Tangent> Pfft.
  826. [16:34] <Tangent> Also
  827. [16:34] <Tangent> >Amelia actually gets enough of a sense of self for a moment of self-awareness.
  828. [16:34] <Tangent> >aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  829. [16:35] <Jran-Kri> oh no
  830. [16:37] <Tangent> >Amelia's silvery talons are digging into the perch. She's gone very, very still, head tilted to the side and one blue eye fixed on Alexa, unblinkingly. She's not chirping.
  831. [16:37] <Tangent> :D
  832. [16:39] <Tangent> Is that something trickling down its beak?
  833. [16:39] <Jran-Kri> >Alexa fruitlessly dangles a bag of bird feed in front of her, lighting brushing her adorable feathery neck.
  834. [16:40] <Jran-Kri> >"I-i-i-i-is s-s-something w-w-ruh-wrong, Amelia?"
  835. [16:41] <Tangent> (Alexa didn't take corruption well? xD)
  836. [16:41] <Jran-Kri> ((I like to think her stammar would get worse instead of better, to her eternal frustration.))
  837. [16:41] <Tangent> (hehe)
  838. [16:42] <Tangent> >and that's the approximate point where birdmelia just /loses it/, starts screaming/screeching and winds up flying into a wall.
  839. [16:42] <Tangent> :D
  840. [16:43] <Jran-Kri> >Alexa screams, leaping out her skin. She casts the birdseed aside as she tries to reign Amelia in with a flick of the staff and a pair of binding chains of light.
  841. [16:43] <Jran-Kri> "A-A-A-uh-uh-Am-m-melia! S-s-suh-sto-o-op! Wuh-wh-what's wro-o-ong?!"
  842. [16:45] <Tangent> >inb4 when she wakes up again, birdmelia's back to "normal"
  843. [16:45] <Tangent> :D
  844. [16:45] <Jran-Kri> ha ha ha
  845. [16:47] <Jran-Kri> Come to think of it, Amelia would probably be the only person beside Kreimhild that Alexa would be affectionate towards.
  846. [16:47] <Tangent> hehe
  847. [16:47] <Tangent> >Don't ask the crazy Mint psycho about why she has a pet bird
  848. [16:48] <Jran-Kri> Everyone else would get a much grouchier treatment.
  849. [16:48] <Tangent> mm
  850. [16:48] <Jran-Kri> "S-s-s-suh-stop l-l-aughing a-a-a-at muh-me! A-a-and m-my f-f-friend!"
  851. [16:48] <Tangent> poor Alexa
  852. [16:49] <Tangent> In the current timeframe, Amelia thinks Alexa deserves more and better friends than her~
  853. [16:49] <Jran-Kri> Even if that were true, she's not in the market!
  854. [16:50] <Jran-Kri> Amelia's all she needs~
  855. [16:50] <Tangent> Oh dear~
  856. [16:50] <Jran-Kri> And Kreimhild, of course. Always Kreimhild, keeping her company when Amelia's away~
  857. [16:50] <Tangent> This will end in tears xD
  858. [16:51] <Jran-Kri> But of course!
  859. [16:52] <Jran-Kri> "K-K-kuh-Kreimhiiiild! Y-you suh-said I-I'd buh-be better th-this w-way!"
  860. [16:52] <Jran-Kri> "But you are, my little lion. Actions speak louder than words, and you have so much more power to act~!"
  861. [16:54] <Tangent> >"A-Alexa? What...did she do to you? Oh, god...oh god...It'll be okay, we'll fix this, I'll help you...It'll be okay, I swear, we'll fix you..."
  862. [16:54] <Tangent> :D
  863. [16:54] <Jran-Kri> ha ha ha
  864. [16:56] <Jran-Kri> Alexa might not even want to be fixed -- sure, she can't speak as well, but when people make fun of her for it, she can sort them out~
  865. [16:57] <Tangent> hehehe
  866. [16:57] <Jran-Kri> "D-d-d-duh-do y-y-you fuh-feel th-that?! Huh-ha-he-ha! Th-that's y-yuh-you're t-tuh-tongue m-m-melting! L-LET'S H-HEAR YUH-YOU T-T-TALK!"
  867. [16:57] <Tangent> oh dearr
  868. [16:58] <Jran-Kri> Her second spec WOULD be fire -- after all, that's what her best friend uses~
  869. [16:59] <Tangent> >ending up as a barely-selfaware pokemon for her now-crazed, corrupted friend wasn't quite the meaning Amelia had in mind~
  870. [16:59] <Tangent> But yeah, cool.
  871. [16:59] <Tangent> Fire lion? xD
  872. [16:59] <Jran-Kri> Yeeeee
  873. [17:00] <Jran-Kri> A very tiny lion, but a lion nonetheless.
  874. [17:00] <Tangent> hehe
  875. [17:01] <Tangent> Also kaji had an idea
  876. [17:02] <Tangent> Gucas end up depowered and dopplegangers that think they're the real thing have their powers
  877. [17:02] <Tangent> They *do* however have a stash of black coins...
  878. [17:02] <Tangent> :D
  879. [17:03] <Tangent> >Amelia STILL doesn't like the idea of *Alexa* black coining
  880. [17:03] <Tangent> :D
  881. [17:04] <Jran-Kri> ha ha ha
  882. [17:04] <Jran-Kri> >Kreimhild is practically throwing them at them.
  883. [17:05] <Tangent> Pfft.
  884. [17:06] <Tangent> >Bad Alexa, no using the mind and body warping magic!
  885. [17:06] <Tangent> >says the one who signed up for the mindwhammy with extra whammy :V
  886. [17:06] <Jran-Kri> "Come ooooooon, just this oooonce!"
  887. [17:06] <Tangent> "No! Bad Alexa! Bad!"
  888. [17:08] <Jran-Kri> >Kreimhild pulls Alexa over to her.
  889. [17:08] <Jran-Kri> "Rude girl! You'll make her cry!"
  890. [17:08] <Jran-Kri> "Wait, um, Kreimhild, it's fi--"
  891. [17:08] <Jran-Kri> "Shh. Don't let bad bluebird get to you."
  892. [17:08] <Tangent> Pffft.
  893. [17:09] <Tangent> Fun fact: NuMelia would probably have enough just enough of a height advantage for headpats. Barely.
  894. [17:10] <Jran-Kri> eeeeee
  895. [17:10] <Jran-Kri> i want to pet the mila
  896. [17:10] <Jran-Kri> or, wait
  897. [17:10] <Jran-Kri> The tall Mila to pat smol Alexa.
  898. [17:11] <Tangent> hehe
  899. [17:12] <Tangent> Also looking forward to Mall Quest :V
  900. [17:12] <Jran-Kri> Exciting!
  901. [17:25] <Tangent> Also have this idea:
  902. [17:25] <Tangent> [03:07] <Cierra-> inb4 Alexa later finds the experiment tapes
  903. [17:25] <Tangent> [03:07] <Cierra-> And they were mind reading her [03:07] <Cierra-> The whole way through
  904. [17:25] <Jran-Kri> oh
  905. [17:25] <Tangent> [03:07] <Cierra-> That was also recorded [03:07] <Tangent> "Who...am...I?" *headtilt*
  906. [17:25] <Jran-Kri> oh no
  907. [17:25] <Jran-Kri> oooooh no
  908. [17:25] <Tangent> [03:09] <Cierra-> Further mind reading signals are now cut off. All coherant human speech patterns stopped beyond this point.
  909. [17:26] <Tangent> [03:10] <Cierra-> >The only reading on her soul is one word, Alexa, on said girl's birthday. The bird is unsure why this keeps croping up.
  910. [17:26] <Jran-Kri> that
  911. [17:26] <Tangent> [03:11] <Cierra-> >Make certain to feed extra bird seed to pacify any attempts to link to mental state.
  912. [17:26] <Jran-Kri> aaaaah
  913. [17:26] <Jran-Kri> that would
  914. [17:26] <Jran-Kri> slightly alter her perception of her employers
  915. [17:27] <Tangent> oh dear~
  916. [17:27] <Tangent> silly Amelia, always ruining Alexa's chances of being happy :D
  917. [17:27] <Jran-Kri> >Alexa, furious, horrified and distraught, goes to Kreimhild for guidance
  918. [17:28] <Jran-Kri> >Kreimhild tells her to relax, settle down, don't worry about it, nothing that didn't have to be done -- it was all for the bird's own good
  919. [17:28] <Tangent> hehe
  920. [17:29] <Jran-Kri> >Alexa marches straight to the Wand & Circlet and offers absurd amounts of money to whomever will help her kill everyone responsible
  921. [17:29] <Tangent> Local bird ruins everything :V
  922. [17:29] <Jran-Kri> >Plot twist: the last person she wants them to kill is herself.
  923. [17:29] <Tangent> nooooo
  924. [17:29] <Tangent> Alexa will live and be happy and not corrupted~
  925. [17:30] <Jran-Kri> In a perfect world.
