  1. [19:22] {NARRATION} The venomous, red-skinned creature leapt across the stone of the castle, but it is quickly intercepted by Yvel. And holding the Holy Crystal, the magi would ward off the beast, acting as a bulkwark between it and all others. Soon enough - he is victorious, however...
  2.
  3. The mangled, defeated demon shifts on the floor, its thick purple bloody ichor drowning down, until... it rises back up again, a flash of intense black magic rippling out from it, and its wounds heal. It begins to evolve, changing shape, larger. More fearsome.
  4.
  5. "...Ah, I didn't plan for that. Everyone - use your magic to take it down! And be wary of its Tormemtor Curse!"
  6. [19:24] He'd ward the area, with the understanding spells were about to go flying fucking everywhere, he warded the immediate area letting glyphs and runes surround the mediocre and cadet knights. Using his holy magic specifically, if that'd make a greater difference against the demon's own magic.
  7. (Calciphier Fooma)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [19:24] And like that, the flash dream of the released demon causing trouble in the crowd becomes a terrifying reality as it morphs and grows, taking on a new form and even greater power than before. Elijah calls out for the magi to defend themselves against it, and sure enough, the wind picks up around the boy as he harnesses what he has, diving headfirst into the creature.
  11.
  12. He'd yet to learn to fear these creatures; this encounter may vindicate that attitude, or it may teach him just how scary demons can be.
  13. (Gendo Kurokaiyo)
  14. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  15.
  16. [19:25] Holy magic event!
  17. (Elijah Soleis mentoring Yvel Endore)
  18.
  19. [19:26] A captured demon was always a sign of danger. They couldn't be trusted even when dead.
  20.
  21. The supposed dead demon was no longer dead despite Yvel killing it. Juri tapped his chin. "Oh it's changing- I wonder if there's a hidden-" He couldn't say the words he wanted to and so unlikely - necromancer.
  22.
  23. "Oh well." Juri takes out his blade from his side.
  24.
  25. It was time to experience torment.
  26. But for who?
  27.
  28. With his blade how'd Juri fight. Remembering distance always. Close and mid, with mastery far. "A test." he murmurs.
  29. (Juri)
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31.
  32. [19:26] The fight itself was no big deal, as Argus had hoped, for the demon was quickly defeated by Yybel, and did not showed much power.
  33.
  34. Well, that was until something started to happen! Apparently the fight was not yet over, because the creature had evolved? Something like that? Amazing!
  35.
  36. Argus quickly withdrew his staff from his back and put on his hood, as someone had said, as they would need to put the creature down once and for all.
  37. (Argus Merith)
  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. [19:26] As the boy realized what as happening he would realize he had no blade on him at this moment, but regardless he took his stance and prepared for battle.
  41. (Lygon Neohn)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [19:27] Jasper really didn't expect that, he was sure that the wind mage had it. Instead, it was apparent that he had to do something about it. His fists came together as he closed his eyes to focus on becoming simply calm. So calm in fact that he wasn't bothered by the way the red-skinned creature appeared to be.
  45.
  46. In the back of his mind, he was thinking of that same Light that al-Aziz was showing around in the slums and in the Cathedral, and how it was utilized well enough to make the entire area a massive comfort zone. That same comfort zone was something that he wanted to give off, but it was clearly not enough to actually get him far or for others to feel it.
  47.
  48. Instead, Jasper would try to manifest that same amount of energy that he had into simply focusing himself to protect the people that he knew, and also bring down the demon with his fists and the knowledge of CODEX COSMOS.
  49.
  50. "Don't be scared - show no fear. We can do it. All together, we can take it down if we try!"
  51.
  52. Jasper was always the idiot to go in head first. And head first did the ambiguous male went with little sparks of that light and his fists wrapped in mana and feel for iron to come across.
  53.
  54. "Bring it foul creature!" Jasper would take the stance. Simply letting a faint aura that he believed to be a more transparent shade of blue wrap around his person, and soon enough he rushed!
  55. (Jasper)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57.
  58. [19:27] Adrielle leaped backward at the unsightly appearance of the demon.
  59.
  60. "Tskk!" he grunted as he quickly unsheathed his blade.
  61.
  62. "Everyone, remember what you've learned today! Give it everything you've got!" his voice echoed amongst the crowd.
  63.
  64. The knight didn't specialize in any specific type of magic, he mainly focused on his bladework. Of course he wasn't ignorant enough to go charging in head first and slash the demon - no. He'd awaid a joint attack of all the magic of the citizens of Osrona combined.
  65.
  66. "May Leonaus guide our way!" he shouted again as he prepared for a collaborated attack.
  67. (Adrielle Solenne)
  68. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  69.
  70. [19:28] Valero's hand falls to his side to grasp the scepter fastened to his waist. With a click of a button unlatching, he weapon rises up in his hand. Given how orchestrated everything else he had to wonder if it really was unexpected.
  71.
  72. Regardless, the creature's presence was a cold drop of water down his back, but now it blossomed and changed with its evolution. The pervasive force of its foul origin had been a trickle at first, but now it felt like a river.
  73.
  74. His mind had prickled, but at first it had been a mere change in the mood and atmosphere of the meeting, a distraction from the dreamlike appearance of Castle Petrakis.
  75.
  76. The command had snapped him out of a rehearsed conversation with Elijah in which he removed his bid to join Adelphi's Aegis. I'm outclassed here, I should stay where I belong. Of course he would not want-
  77.
  78. Elijah's order rang through and resonated through his being prompting it to act before he could really process the fact that he had been planning on quitting.
  79. (Valero lei Montclaire)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [19:28] "...Oh."
  83.
  84. She had thought this all was going a little smoother, but suppose that no science is perfect, and progress not achieved without.. mishaps. While she was not here for the specifics of the magic that were to be taught, her magical aptitude mediocre, this was why she was here.
  85.
  86. In case others needed be protected, were ever at risk of the sheer magnitude of people or any other mishaps.
  87.
  88. A blade is drawn, magics flaired up. Her mind is on the many behind her as much as the mutating beast ahead- she would try to stay to the front and draw attention and danger.
  89. (Audree Iessia)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [19:28] The red-skinned abomination had leapt across the castle structure akin to a beast of the wild, Andras' eyes doing well to keep track of its movements. Even that feat was relatively difficult, considering the fact that he was an inexperienced cadet. Despite this, he would be able to ascertain that the magi had managed to vanquish the beast - or at least, so Andras believed. The ruined corpse had shifted across the floor, purple ichor sinking downward until a horrific flash of black magic left Andras stumbling upon his rear. What was to be expected, when he was witnessing such foul magic at close hand. This was akin to the horrors of witches that were occasionally persecuted, but this just felt inherently 'wrong' on all levels. He attempts to call forth upon his mana, siphoning it through the terrain in which he stood upon. He always felt assured while on solid ground, and he attempts to delve into a fighting stance.
  93.
  94. It grew enlarged as his heart hammers against his chest, stunned in place as he notably freezes in the face of danger. There was clear hesitation - he wasn't reckless enough to just charge at a beast and hope for the best. He had to assess the situation, at the very least! But there was no time for adjustments, or anything of the sort!
  95.
  96. He'd hurriedly try to pick himself and unsheathe his blade, recalling the words in which Vaeltus had told him during his initiation. He had to bolster his willpower to fight such a monstrosity, and he forces his hands to stop shaking as he grips the hilt of his blade. His palms become briefly encased in earthen crust, but it only remains for limited amounts of time.
  97.
  98. He was a cadet now, and his aspirations of becoming a Knight would not be tarnished at the first sign of danger..despite how ominous it was. He'd brace himself for battle, releasing a war-cry that would drown out the fear pounding within his chest. He wouldn't crumple here, and he forces himself to move forward despite his instinct. He had to protect the innocents, slums or not.
  99.
  100. "ORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
  101. (Andras)
  102. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  103.
  104. [19:28] Duran believed in Yvel and his belief would hold true as his fellow cadet managed to hold the beast off and finally defeat it. "Good job, Yvel!" He cheered for his brother in arms...and then the creature seemed to grow in strength instead after getting defeated? What the hell- they could do that?!
  105.
  106. There was no time for him to take a sketch of this one, all arms would be needed to defeat it, it seems and as a hopeful Cadet that was planning on joining the Order, it was also his duty to aid in protecting his home and the people from monsters, both human or otherwise.
  107.
  108. He'd unsheath his grandfathers blade and hold it at ready, preparing himself to charge the beast.
  109.
  110. "For the Order!" He'd scream his battlecry as he charged into the fray alongside whomever else was joining in.
  111.
  112. Maybe he was getting a bit sucked up into this whole thing but hey- not everyday do you get to fight a monstrosity.
  113. (Duran Novak)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [19:28] Ryoji applauded the knights mastery over his magic and ability to take on such a demon he thought the group was gonna have to jump in but. as relief hit the crowed the dead demon turned out to be not so dead as it began to morph into something much worse, the young Draknite gripped the hilt of his sword ready to draw it and do battle.
  117. (Ryoji)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [19:28] A call for magical aid? Well that seems... Disastrous, given the many conflicting types of magic the crew in the courtyard were sure to wield. The baldie knew of one other person alone that would just result in a total cancellation of power. Though regardless, his staff is drawn, held to the sky as condensation begins to form around the crystalline catalyst, ready to swipe, flooding the beastie should other attacks prove less worthwhile. That was the intent, after all, was it not? To show off holy magic?
  121.
  122. They'd learned about how it was best honed, and harnessed initially, in protecting one that's deeply cared for, but actual use of the magicks had yet to be observed outside of the Exarch's initial display. Though only time would tell, as the beast finishes it's metamorphosis, and the lot prepares to fight!
  123. (Ronyx Jelka)
  124. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  125.
  126. [19:29] The short fight wasn't too enjoyable to watch, but it wasn't too dull either. She'd just take the chance to examine the fighting forms of both man and demon, focused more on the demon than Yvel. Learning how a demon fought just became top priority.
  127.
  128. Everything was going well so far.
  129.
  130. Yuza moves her mouth as if to speak but stops, eyeing the rising and evolving demon on the floor, a squint in her eyes.
  131.
  132. "Oh? I didn't think a demon could grow that quickly." A hand moved up her back, reaching to draw a sword should it grow even larger. While others had magic, Yuza only had a sword to rely on, and would most likely not do much to the creature.
  133.
  134. "It can't be all that tough."
  135. (Yuza cos Duran)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [19:29] Watches the fight seeing how easily the light expelled the darkness. The power that is hidden within is a strong mysterious being. Taking mental notes that even if he is a Fire Magi he might wanna pursue this magic after all.
  139.
  140. As soon as he formulated a opinion on the matter the best grew in size. His strength nothing he has ever laid eyes apon. Is the darkness this strong, he now understand why this must be purged and never be seen during the light of day.
  141.
  142. The stars couldn't stop this beast as it seems the whole crowd now must get involved. He started to draw his sword as his power depth within was called forth; As he was set ablaze. Readying to take arms against the demon. "For the Order!" He yelled along with some others.
  143. (Solon Tofusin )
  144. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  145.
  146. [19:29] Sophie widens her eyes as the beast went lurching out of its cage. It was fast, vicious. Not like the daemons of the forest, but more. These monstrosities are the kind that her ancestors fought against. Not just these, but perhaps ones that are even worst, more monstrous, more deadly.
  147.
  148. Those words. Something was wrong. Even as the monstrosity is defeated, it seemed ready to rise again, awakening with even more monstrous might. It was a demonstration that had taken a turn for the worst, and instantly, the worry struck Sophie.
  149.
  150. This many people could stop a beast like that, she knew, but what if it got away. This is about more then just a bunch of people curious of holy magic. What if that monstrosity managed to slip away from all of them. It could get into the city, and wreck havoc. People could be killed over it.
  151.
  152. Sophie didn't seek to protect just her family and their interests. She wanted to protect the people of this city, to preserve their lifestyles. Sophie would not fear the strength of the beast, but instead for the lives of those placed at risk for this seminar.
  153.
  154. Be wary of its magic. Sophie understood. Steel is drawn from her waist, as her begins to exude from her body in the most simplistic of manners. She prepares to lunge into the fray to battle the creature before it could harm anyone beyond here.
  155. (Sophie cos Duran)
  156. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  157.
  158. [19:29] Things seemed to be going fine, at least at first.
  159.
  160. Yvel managed to push back the foul Demon without too much issue, leaving it nothing more than a pile of purple ichor. It would be a cause for celebration for many.
  161.
  162. That is, if it didn't suddenly stand back up and mutate into something even more foul.
  163.
  164. As Elijah called out, Charon wasted little time in jumping into action. Perhaps if he was alone, the fear that usually plagued him might've taken hold. But being surrounded by others, each capable of magic, it seemed like he had little to fear.
  165.
  166. And so his hand raises, and with it the air around them seems to become dry. Water soon pooled into a small orb in front of his hand, and he prepares himself to launch it towards the foul creature along with all the others.
  167. (Charon)
  168. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  169.
  170. [19:29] With the impending threat of the demon evolution, Aaron pulls his longsword from his back and points it forwards. He lines up the edge of the blade with the growing demon, his grin of excitement fading into a far more serious one.
  171.
  172. Even with the threat of a rampaging demon, his eyes were lit up as bright as the stars. He displays his fortitude, but also displays his own naivety.
  173.
  174. He moves into his battle stance, one that he had refined on a bit since his training with Vaeltus. His stance was now more swift and energetic. He performs two or three practice swings with his longsword, allowing it to glide through the air with each cut. He was ready.. the Way of the Soaring Bird could not fail him.
  175.
  176. "Don't worry, Yvel! May the Stars guide us!"
  177. (Aaron Bittersteel)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179.
  180. [19:29] Padora watching has Yvel fucking destroys the demon and then proceeds to watch as the mangled, defeated demon shifts on the floor, its thick purple bloody ichor drowning down, begins to take shape of something greater and much more menacing than the last demon. He thinks to himself 'Well shit, I didn't expect my day to become like this.'
  181.
  182. He hears the call for everyone to use their magic and attacks and him being a hand to hand combat practitioner he assumes the Iron Fist Stance and ready's himself for what is to come.
  183. (Padora)
  184. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  185.
  186. [19:29] And things turned bad like she thought they would. Why would they even summon a demon? This was a seminar for Holy magic not How to defeat demons.
  187.
  188. As soon as she demon started to evolve Niria's eyes widened. Whah could she do? She couldn't even use her mana corectly would she be able to even attack a demon?
  189.
  190. So she just started looking around to check where Argus was and do her best to protect him from any harm even if she knew that he didn't need saving
  191. (Niria Esmen)
  192. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  193.
  194. [19:29] The young wizard would blink in surprise at the call to arms, but a savage grin would play across his face as he realized what was going on. Pulling the staff from his back, he would point it at the monster without any hesitation.
  195.
  196. Focusing the magic he had slowly grown more familiar with over the past few days he would try to crush the beast where it stood, diverting the flow of gravity from elsewhere, envisioning an inverted pyramid of crushing flow...
  197.
  198. "Well, since Yeh asked so nicely." He would reply as he delivered the attack.
  199. (Timothy Espaze)
  200. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  201.
  202. [19:29] Yami was scared but it was time to fight. His metaphysical magic manifested. He was going to use the magic his father taught him today, illusion magic. He would try and mess with the demons vision!
  203.
  204. The boy would make sure to keep his illusions moving in real time away from the demon. The boy began to conjure his time magic, slowing the area around the demon. If anyone needed to be healed he'd also been ready to help them soon after!
  205.
  206. "I'll try to blind it and slow its movements!"
  207.
  208. Yami looks to Soma, he knew he was a time magi as well after the incident in the square.
  209.
  210. "Let's do this together!"
  211.
  212. If he didn't want to assist him, it was whatever. Yami concentrated his magic on trying to slow the demon to a halt utilizing time slow. If Soma helped him maybe it would work even better! His veins pulsed as he gave it his all!
  213.
  214. (Yami Kurokaiyo)
  215. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  216.
  217. [19:29] Attack it? With magic!?
  218.
  219. She didn't have any real magic to throw at it like many people around her might. She didn't really have a fireball, or a big floating rock, or a lightning bolt... Yeah now that she thought about it, this really wasn't a fight she could even partake in due to her circumstances. There was only one thing she could do!
  220.
  221. Drawing out her blade, she steps to the side and draws her blade far off to the side. She made sure there was plenty of space for her to execute her attack. Her stance widens, her arms steel themselves, and after a moment of concentration she unleashes a heavy swing aimed at the beast in question. Kinetic force is drawn, spiraled into energy as a force of power surges forth to strike the beast. It was all she could do, and in the back of her mind she suddenly felt as though she were rather... Useless?
  222.
  223. How was she supposed to protect people if she couldn't even fight an opponent at range? She frowns momentarily, shaking her head. Even with this thought in mind, she knew that she was training to become better than she was now. She wanted to learn how to use Holy magic and damnit, she planned to give it her all!
  224.
  225. She was just one of many attackers however, but their combined attacks might have a good effect!
  226. (Avaseele Valar)
  227. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  228.
  229. [19:29] Kiril pulled out his sword fired up his aura and went in to his stance, he said he wanted to try himself against a demon and now this was his chance....with like 500 other people. Even so he was ready if the thing came, "Heh, it got bigger, who cares. It still can't stand a chance with all of us here!" Kiril would say preparing to lunge his sword in to the demon showing no sign of fear, but rather excitement. He didn't think he could lose with all these allies backing him up and him backing them up.
  230. (Kiril Callister)
  231. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  232.
  233. [19:29] Yami Kurokaiyo says, "\ready"
  234. [19:30] Vytal watched as his cousin fought a demon, in the name of the light- he fought with his heart... He was that kind of guy though, it wasn't that surprising he could do it at all... The boy had been training for a while to do so... He grew a long side Vytal- two boys of the same age just looked at each other back in those days and dreamed about being useful to the kingdom.
  235.
  236. He replies to those voices, "Yeah that was when our parents were still alive." It was afterwards when something wrong happened, a mistake of sorts or something they couldn't account for in the beginning. He looked to everyone around and furrowed his eyebrows. He started to distort the light and world around him, a curse begets a curse. He uses illusion, his eyes turn a red color and the air around him becomes like water which would suffocate his enemies with it's exertion on them... He frowns now since he has to fight that monster... He had help his cousin protect. He controls his mana and uses distort to make the creature harm itself.
  237.
  238. He raised his fist and lowered his stance, he knew a number of unarmed technique but the most important was one... The voices spoke, 'Jump into the battle.' he heard and with that work spoken. He turned into a blur and rushed towards the creature with fists and illusion, he asked those voices… What now? They tell him in the back of his head, 'Keep going.. You'll be fine as long as you fight with everyone... We'll back you up.' He felt a small boost as if something attempted to connect with him, it wasn't too significant but it gave him the courage to rush in more.
  239. (Vytal Endore)
  240. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  241.
  242. [19:30] // As the Demon shifted on the floor, and the purple liquid continued to mesh together into a puddle, Talon scratched his head somewhat confused as to what was happening. It was only within that moment he realized something was brewing from within.
  243.
  244. "U-Uh..Its not over yet...?"
  245.
  246. He questioned with a narrow brow as he noticed everyone taking a stance. A chuckle escaped his lips as both fists balled taking a basic stance.
  247.
  248. "Let us smite this demon, and show him we're not to be taken lightly. For a better future!"
  249.
  250. Talon remarked as he shifted his stance preparing to engage combat with the Demon.
  251. (Talon Manjigera)
  252. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  253.
  254. [19:30] Vaeltus proudly watches Yvel intercept and slay the demon with seemingly relative ease. Relief spreads through the knight as the demon is defeated, its presence had put him on edge, worried about the safety of the citizens, depite the presence of the Exarch.
  255.
  256. Before he could let out a sigh of relief, the demon seems to be reborn a wave of black magic. Vaeltus watches in horror as it begins to evolve and grow larger. This had been exactly what he was worried about.
  257.
  258. Heeding the Exarch's command, the knight quickly drew his blade, fully intent on fulfilling his duty. He would protect all of those he could, placing himself between the innocent and their potential doom.
  259.
  260. "Son of a..." The knight cursed as the situation had taken the worst possible turn. He would rather die than allow for this vile creature to harm a single citizen, noble or not.
  261.
  262. "Keep your distance! Do not let it get close!" He called out loudly to those around him as he assumed his battle stance.
  263. (Vaeltus Solenne)
  264. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  265.
  266. [19:30] Rhene wasn't much of a fighter, Ethereal means besides. She had an attunement for Earth, of course, but weaponised magic? Well, that clearly wasn't her focus.
  267.
  268. But to stand and watch? That would be shameful, most shameful. She channeled her magic, a soft shroud of raw essence surrounding her form as she prepared for combat.
  269. (Rhene Lasko)
  270. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  271.
  272. [19:30] Shocked, excited to see the student excel in the manner that he did, but was happy for him. He managed to destroy the Daemon quite easily, " Wow so all we need is faith and a crystal of light?", she asked herself. Suddenly the fallen Deamon would release dark magic that healed his wounds, evolving into something much more powerful. After hearing the call to battle she smirked. She didn't have any magic besides enchanting items which she felt bad about but she knew a few things about a blade. A gust of wind manifested around her as she drew her blade, preparing herself for the worst.
  273.
  274. "Here goes nothing!"
  275. (Genesis Manijgera)
  276. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  277.
  278. [19:30] He observed the battle that raged before the red, thick skinned demon that he thought looked grotesque enough as it was. It wouldn't be until he watched it fall that some relief would come across his face. "So, perhaps holy magic isn't that ba- wait." He wouldn't even begin to get the rest of his words out before he started to notice the evolution.
  279.
  280. As the dark tendrils ebbed about the demon and it began to grow in size, Aegnor would find himself sort of pressing a foot down and back step for a moment. Although it was at this moment that he would sort of clench his fist down tightly, and allowed his own fears to escape from his body and instead washed It off with courage.
  281.
  282. He would begin to rush over to the side of the castle wall and leap up to the stone, his fingers pressed into the crevices and he began to pull himself up to begin to climb the wall. The larger demon certainly would be over-whelmed with these numbers, but his concern was not only with the beast but those who happen to be closest to it.
  283.
  284. "If there is anything you can do, do it!"
  285.
  286. He shouted to himself, his resolve now etched into his face as a sudden heat would begin to transcend from around him. Ebs of flames began to dance across his form, moving in an random tandem as the fire would dance from one direction to another. It wouldn't be till he was at the top of the wall, that the fire would engulf his form in it's entirety like a blaze and he made his way in the direction of Yvel and Astor.
  287. (Aegnor Watts)
  288. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  289.
  290. [19:31] Yvel persisted the battle was not an easy one and it seemed as many blows as the Demon was taking it absorbed them and only gotten stronger, Yvel was still at novice at best yet he channeled the light into magic he could harness and utilize something he could visualize.
  291.
  292. Yvel placed the Light shard near his staff combining the two powers allowing for them to synchronize with his magic, He would use this to end the demons assaults against himself, A bulwark of magic flushed through him an attack spell he could use against spheres of holy magic gathered around his staff.
  293.
  294. and with a final thrust forwards the barrage of light would make there way to connect to the demon despite how large it had grown with all the Knights gathered here Yvel knew they would prevail.
  295.
  296. "The Light of the stars will guide us, and now we will hold strong to the beacon of light that shines within us all, and the stars will lead us!"
  297.
  298.
  299. Even while doing this all Yvel had made sure to keep Lady Astor within his sights when the demon grew to nightmarish heights he quickly leapt near her to be sure his defense of her was not neglected.
  300.
  301. "My Lady, I will continue my defense of you regardless of this outcome, Let us continue."
  302. (Yvel Endore)
  303. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  304.
  305. [19:31] Was this really happening? Yes, why yes it was.
  306.
  307. Victoria almost screeched in fear as the demon was not truly defeated and was now aiming to sow more chaos into each and everyone's hearts here.
  308.
  309. "Ahhh!", the Drakanite relents, screeching as her hands shot out to pester the vile beast with balls of fire, hopefully, Victoria would be able to aid just a little bit with her fledgeling fire magics. If not, then it was the thought that count.
  310. (Victoria Olgimskaya)
  311. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  312.
  313. [19:32] Samsara heard a familiar voice. He would think to himself.
  314. (Samsara Manjigera)
  315. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  316.
  317. [19:32] Well, it was about what you'd expect. At first, at least. The man chosen to ward of the demon did he job well enough and a dead demon laid on the ground. Though, her nose twitched. Her notice of uneasy movements from the people on the walls.
  318.
  319. "Is... something wrong?" She stared intent for an answer. Her gaze jumped to Soma, who was up on the walls as well. "SOMA! What's-" She didn't need an answer anymore.
  320.
  321. What rose was a demon, and from what she could assume... probably the demon they just killed. She's read this before. Her nose twitches again. She'd have to give Soma an earful for once for this. She wasn't a fighter, but with enough people here she could at least provide support towards putting down the demon again.
  322.
  323. "Victoria, I'm sure you know how to fight. Get ready."
  324.
  325. Though she was intimidated briefly, it was no other than a means for the demon to scare off the easily frightened.
  326. (Eloise cos Duran)
  327. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  328.
  329. [19:32] {NARRATION} (Go!)
  330. [19:34] {NARRATION} The combined assault of everyone present was...well, overwhelming! But as they struck the demon, they'd all feel the whip of occult magic - it attacks the mind, bringing out their innate fear and reminding them of their weaknesses. Flashes of terror. But they can resist, and they can look inside themselves for the light - the iwll to carry on!
  331. [19:37] During the brawl, where the newly evolved demon was repeatedly bashed by strikes of steel, fist, and magic, the Knight Exarch remained beside Lady Astor and Yvel. He did not personally engage - but watched vigilantly.
  332.
  333. Elijah waited for the dust to settle before addressing everyone once more.
  334. (Elijah Soleis)
  335. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  336.
  337. [19:38] as Padora and the rest fucking slaughtered the demon with their onslaught of magic attacks and physical attacks. It falls down but not before leaving Padora suddenly filled with a strong anxiety, his chest was heavy and his breathing was short and quick.
  338.
  339. Padora began to think about his strength and his lack of ability to use magic as others do. He didn't think it was a big deal he had his muscles and he thought that was enough for him to go into battle with. But after seeing everyone come together to kill this demon, he began to question how much he actually helped. How much does he actually contribute without his use of magic. Padora continues to dwell on this for a only a moment before snapping back and flexing as hard as he could, veins popping and he let out a small roar.
  340. (Padora)
  341. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  342.
  343. [19:38] It was almost like a sixth sense instantly he knew there was something wrong, A legacy passed down from generations of demon slayer onto him to keep a keen eye on eruptions of the foul magic, this was the feeling he was getting.
  344.
  345. Soma looked around at his surroundings - the most important thing currently was the Lady of Astor in almost Immediate danger. Then to his right was his sisters...
  346.
  347. There were so many things wrong with this situation, but he had faith that even we humans can prevail, as shown before.
  348.
  349. However, right when he was about to engage with some of his time magic, a familiar voice shouted out to him, Yami, the boy who was nice enough to help the injured people within the square had a battle plan worked out already- and it seemed somewhat perfect.
  350.
  351.
  352. With the beast slowed, everyone would have the time to land their attacks, causing a mix of elemental explosions, it was better than just hunting down the beast by themselves. They had numbers to beat these odds.
  353.
  354. Soma was quiet as his eyes look to Yami, but then he gave him Acknowledgement with a nod.
  355.
  356. "RIGHT!."
  357.
  358. His hand moves forward, towards the beast to activate the spell Time slow!appeared
  359. (Soma lei Duran)
  360. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  361.
  362. [19:39] The flashes of terror was there, the notion of being abandoned once again that only made him question it to the very end of it all. Within those fears and images, the only two people that he cared about mostly in the party vanished - Valero and Lady Marie.
  363.
  364. However, with the combined effort that was there, Jasper knew that it was just an illusion to corrupt the mind and to feed it in power. Jasper was quick to snap out of it as his very fists were ready. Utilizing the little increments of knowledge that he had on the Light, Jasper rushes it forward at the torso.
  365.
  366. Right hand coming to the stomach, left hand coming with it as well followed by violent, vibrant kicks that were slowly tearing it apart inch by inch with only little flashes of that same light Jasper saw in the Cathedral. Behind his fists were the simple calmness and the energy that the stars provided.
  367.
  368. And following that energy, was that same will to protect the people that were there while fighting in Unison. "All together - for the order, for everything that we ever dreamed of!"
  369.
  370. More punches that were seemingly ripping through the skin and causing some of the blood to actually release from it. However, as quickly as he bled, Jasper would use that for power as it pressed forth to rip it apart with the upmost difficulty.
  371.
  372. "Never come back!"
  373.
  374. One more punch was enough to send it back, hopefully it was enough to expose a potential weakness -- if that weakness was everyone shredding it with magic, swords, and violent punches.
  375. (Jasper)
  376. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  377.
  378. [19:39] Spiders?! Horrible, icky spiders, why did she have to have arachnophobia?! Victoria hisses and screeches as she stumbles away from the demon as the whip of occult magic latched onto her brainmeat and frightened the bejesus out of her tiny soul. Imagery of oversized arachnids could be seen here and there, along with the assumed sounds of those horrid beasties echoing throughout her mind.
  379.
  380. Whatever the Drakanite worried about the most was revealed to her in this very moment, along with one of her biggest fears, like flashes of lightning. Since Victoria wasn't really attuned with the light, the best she could do was resist, grit those teeth and try to hang on.
  381.
  382. "Eloise! Heeeelp!"
  383.
  384. Her second most worst fear, was being unemployed. In this moment she could see Sophie cos Duran looming over her like a horrible dark giant, plucking her by the collar and tossing her away into the slums.
  385. (Victoria Olgimskaya)
  386. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  387.
  388. [19:39] The battle was one that he knew was gonna be intense but for completely different reasons for the onslaught, as the demon was decimated by the sheer capacity of magi that happened to be in the area. Aegnor did the smart thing and stayed to the side as the older individuals worked on the assault, only flinging a simple spell of expelling his own mana in a powerful wave. He didn't need to do much else, as it would be a plethora of magic that capsized the beast.
  389.
  390. Although it would be then that he would kind of glance over at Astor and raise a brow up, only allowing the words. "You are a brave one." Escape from his lips for that moment, and then he started to make his way out from the sights of the crowd and those around. After-all, he had not looked of any noble lineage and he wore clothes that were more similar to rags then actual clothing.
  391.
  392. He shook his head, only hit by the minor effects of the demon but still it was enough to make him contemplate his nightmares. The thought of his parents being dead, the trauma of watching a man get his hands burned off and tossed into the river. The thought of his siblings both being ravaged by monsters and beasts like this demon kin.
  393.
  394. It caused a cold sweat to come to him, but in this time he took the opportunity to finally try and make his way from the crowds.
  395. (Aegnor Watts)
  396. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  397.
  398. [19:39] //The occult magic shrouded the proximity causing those within the vicinity to catch a glimpse of their fear. His guard was shattered with ease, sweat dripping from his forhead as he closed his eyes for a moment bringing both hands towards his chest.
  399.
  400. "My will..to carry on...I sense the light."
  401.
  402. Talon remarked as his sly smile suddenly drew across the crevice of his lips allowing him to regain his his composure.
  403. (Talon Manjigera)
  404. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  405.
  406. [19:39] The occult. At first, it was just feelings not unlike the dark forest, that foulness that nauseated him. The very opposite of the wonderful embrace of Leonaus. But as the beast continued on in their assault, it became much more intense. Much worse. Visions of misdeeds done both to, and by him. Things he'd come to terms with flooding his mind as though only recently occurred. Infuriating to say the least. And worse still, it sought only to make him regret coming to this pointless lecture all the more.
  407.
  408. Fighting, and being wounded, touched by a creature most foul, for what? A display of holy magicks that could be seen by any proper acolyte? What was the true point?
  409.
  410. But that negativity, though still remaining, becomes much less intense as the beast is felled by the brutal, and rapid assault of all the lookers on. The occult influence fades, and leaves him just wanting to... Sit, and rest. To not be so emotionally drained by a simple influencing aura. Those demons in the mine certainly held no candle to the effects that one held on his mental state, even if it's physical prowess was less terrifying. "Mmngh... Annoying one, that. Hope no one's hurt none too bad."
  411. (Ronyx Jelka)
  412. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  413.
  414. [19:40] Sure enough, the combined assault of the magi tears into the massive demon, but something.. unexpected happens. Rather than physically lashing back, the demon releases a cold dread that nearly paralyzes Gendo and likely several others; for a second he panics, looking around at the others in terror, but when he sees the demon surge forth, that fight or flight instinct kicks in and he realizes..
  415.
  416. If we don't beat this thing now, it's going to break out and harm so many others.
  417.
  418. A cold sweat sweeps over him at that realization, and he finds his hands instinctively balling as his resolve returns. Terrifying or not, this thing needs to be stopped, HERE and NOW. There is no or else. There's only victory. He would accept no less.
  419.
  420. He redoubles his efforts, cutting at the beast with wind and laying into it with his fists, and much like him, many others surge forth and they retake the momentum, finally bringing the beast down hopefully!
  421. (Gendo Kurokaiyo)
  422. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  423.
  424. [19:40] This feeling the occult magic, his mind shielded thanks to all of his items being enchanted with light magic, though it troubled him. Something so horrible could exist, he wasn't keen on religion; however, if this taught him anything it was the importance in utilizing light magic from here on out.
  425. (Calciphier Fooma)
  426. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  427.
  428. [19:40] The group moved in chaos, but at its held was the young yet talented Exarch. His voice had shifted to command without hesitation in the moment and that image remained anchored in his mind, prominent.
  429.
  430. It was a direct parallel to his own life, a piece of greatness he could perhaps catch a sliver of inspiration from. He had been a mere Cadet at the 'senior' knight's age.
  431.
  432. Instead of jealousy or inferiority though, he brought forth something else. Something the other figures could never inspire.
  433.
  434. Very well - Valero lei Monteclaire, you are now under my consideration! Do your best.
  435.
  436. A brief, but genuine smile despite his rush. An acknowledgement instead of a dismissal. It was these little things that read the strings of the heart and plucked out loyalty.
  437.
  438. He steadies himself, his mind soothing at the memory of their previous discussion a newfound drive to succeed and distinguish himself before one who had offered the opportunity.
  439.
  440. If he failed, so be it. But, tossing out your lot and seeing if you had a shot?
  441.
  442. It was all a guy could ask for.
  443. (Valero lei Montclaire)
  444. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  445.
  446. [19:40] Their collaborated strike was a great success, however..
  447.
  448. The young knight seemed to be paralyzed by fear. His entire figure trembled, his eyes widened as he glanced over toward his brother, as though seeking help.
  449.
  450. "No.."
  451.
  452. The word echoed throughout his mind.
  453.
  454. "No one can help you now." A slithery tone posessed his ears. The statement must've crossed his mind a million times in succession.
  455.
  456. "D-Damn.." he muttered. How unexpected this was, his first encounter with the occultic magics. It took a few moments for him to snap out of the initial shock of it all and attempt to remember the words of the Exarch.
  457.
  458. "Light.. -- persist.."
  459.
  460. The only two things he could remember.
  461.
  462. In a screaming outburst his body tensed entirely. His sapphire hues seemed to glow a shade brighter in this moment. The voices in his head seemed to be repulsed. A win against the occult, how exciting.
  463.
  464. After a few fitsof panting he seemed to snap back entirely to his normal self.
  465.
  466. "Exhilarating." he muttered with a slight smile spread across his cheeks, he seemed to be quite exhausted though.
  467. (Adrielle Solenne)
  468. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  469.
  470. [19:40] The demon could be pitied. It was a greater demon against practically an army. How was it ever meant to stand a chance. Instead of taking the close range assault Juri too a distance and put in little effort.
  471.
  472. It died too quickly for there to be any effort.
  473.
  474. Yet from its death brought a curse. An array of occult spilling forth with the energy warned: occult. It brings out fear and reminder of weakness.
  475.
  476. A weakness to protect his lady?
  477. A weakness to fail to carry out Grimmore's goals.
  478.
  479. But there was something more that Juri feared- this was not illusion which attacked the senses, it assaulted everything and brought for Juri's greatest fear.
  480.
  481. Tea never existed.
  482.
  483. The servant falls to his knees and grips the grass. How could tea not exist? How could his purpose be taken away. It had to exist. He needed to protect tea-
  484.
  485. Juri averts his eyes as he collects himself and his thoughts. He promptly corrects his mind: he needed to protect his lady.
  486.
  487. "How awful..." He groans.
  488. (Juri)
  489. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  490.
  491. [19:40] Well.. The creature didn't even have a chance! Because everyone's attacks quickly ended with it, amazing. Argus almost did nothing, but at least participated!
  492.
  493. However, the effects of the demon's attacks, even if minimal, came to the boy's mind. The power of the creature had made Argus's fears come to his mind at the moment. The fear of death, of losing his relatives, such as his sister, among so many other fears he had.. After all he was human, he feared many things.
  494.
  495. He paused for a moment, his head bowed, thinking about it. Should he fear such things? But why should he fear? It was so normal, he should not fear!
  496.
  497. The boy shook his head, trying to forget that! Slapping his cheeks a bit for a instant, "Mm..!"
  498. (Argus Merith)
  499. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  500.
  501. [19:41] He'd look at all of the other cadets around him, he was almost shocked that so many people came to this one meeting, he felt a sense of fulfilment having made it just in time fore the event. He loved being apart of something like this, something greater than himself.
  502. (Calciphier Fooma)
  503. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  504.
  505. [19:41] Exhalated rays of light carried by the hopes and dreams of Yvel flushed through the demons body the orbs of light continued to batter him down, He was not the only one however, The creature was assaulted by all sides by the magi and cadets and observers within the square. It was a true sight to see all the peoples coming to defend against what would've otherwise been a grand threat.
  506.
  507. Yvel stood by Lady Astor's side the entirety of the fight but used wind and his newly discovered Holy magic to launch assaults against the creature's body, Blow for blow until finally the towering demon was torn down.
  508.
  509. "My Lady Are you alright? Thank you for aiding me in this exam I would have never been able to resist the temptations of the darkness had it not been for my duty to protect you" He'd offer her a smile although he was unsure of how she would feel about him in this in stance.
  510.
  511.
  512. He'd take his sight towards Elijah and offer him another smile. "I understand now. It is not a power to be used for selfishness...it is a power to be used with humility and understanding. Humanity must be protected and we must fight against the ravages of occultism and nightmares and protect the people. and that is what I will do with this new found light."
  513. (Yvel Endore)
  514. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  515.
  516. [19:41] Chaotic careful strikes fly at the foolish demon from all around- the crowd is too massive for the demon to ever find an opening to slash back at them--
  517.
  518. but the damage is done to those who attack first, it seems. Her mind goes awry with flashes, visions, overwhelming negativity. Her hand snaps up to the side of her head and eyes squeeze shut- it's much like a reliving... something. Remembering helplessness in vivid flashing likes, sights and sounds and the taste of the air burning her throat.
  519.
  520. She goes quiet for a long time, midst the cheers and proclamations and whatever else occurs around her.
  521.
  522. It all feels very quiet, by the time it dies off and she suppresses all that unwelcomed presence in her mind.
  523. (Audree Iessia)
  524. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  525.
  526. [19:41] Slices were delivered at full power, eyes on the prize. While Yuza wasn't allowed many chances to attack, she relished the few that were possible. The demon was obliterated by the power of everyone's magic, but not without a cost. Occultism etched away at each of them.
  527.
  528. Being a feeling never before experienced, the Duran teen recoils, sword hand grasping her head whilst still gripping the blade.
  529.
  530. Even though it had just been taken down, Yuza felt a larger infusion of fear spread across her mind. Fear of seeing the smashed remains. Fear of ever encountering another creature like that. She clenched her teeth, attempting to find her willpower. Her glory. The honor of her family!
  531.
  532. Breaking free from the grasp of fear, she'd just huff, breathing a great deal of air in after the encounter. "That was... more than unexpected."
  533. (Yuza cos Duran)
  534. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  535.
  536. [19:42] Indeed, she felt the retaliation for her blows. As had all the others who had struck against the Demon. She could feel it inside of her. The nagging sensation that she wasn't good enough, that she wasn't strong enough to protect her friends, let alone herself. She could swing hard and cause massive damage, but she couldn't take a blow. Why would she claim to be a protector if her main strength is the ability to cleave others into pieces? She wasn't sure. She also felt bad for committing what should honestly have been an illegal mass-murder of boars for their leathers and meats. She felt terrible about that, too. But she needed the meat! She wanted to make sure everyone had food, even the homeless.
  537.
  538. It's why she donated to the church not long ago. When the fighting was over, she lowered her blade, eventually sheathing it away after cleaning it off with a small rag. Her eyes rested on the blade as her lips pursed in thought. There were lots of little things nagging at her, a lot of which didn't even need the stupid curse that Demon had for her to think on it. It only served to bring it to the front of her mind.
  539.
  540. But ultimately, she knew better than to believe he herself weak for her flaws. She knew better than to think that she was of low moral value, and certainly not the type to be greedy! She shakes her head a few times. She felt drawn to the light, but ultimately it was her own spirit that she felt closer to if anything else. Sure, she worried of others judging her. Sure, she wished not to harm others unless absolutely necessary. And sure, she worried about the trivial things in life at time. Whether or not her friends would appreciate her gifts, if she were coming on too strongly with her positive attitude in life, if she were simply foolish for believing there was good in everyone.
  541.
  542. But ultimately? She knew that no matter what people thought of her, no matter the mistakes she makes along the way, and no matter the evil that befalls others. She shouldn't let them drag her down. If anything, she should pull them up with her!
  543.
  544. She puts her blade away after cleaning it fully, deciding that she no longer had a purpose in leaving it unsheathed.
  545. (Avaseele Valar)
  546. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  547.
  548. [19:42] Yami felt as if his time magic contributed to the demons defeat, he looked to Soma and figured they had given it their all as well. The demon was basically incapacitated. Yami felt as if using time slow on a single target with multiple time magi had a very useful application.
  549.
  550. Next he'd need to learn a way to replicate this on his own.
  551.
  552. The young boy fired off waves of illusions sending three to four extra bodies to go and attack the demon. They never did any damage, it was all to guise the waves of energy he shot at it.
  553.
  554. He then got whipped powerfully, the demon hurt him and everyone around. The boy saw his worst fear, a body double of himself.. no.. his twin. dead, mangled and in the jaws of the very demon they had just gotten rid of. He grabbed his own head and tried to think of the light crystal, he wanted to expel this nightmare.
  555.
  556. He didn't want this to ever become reality!
  557.
  558. Eyes closed and deep breaths were taken.
  559.
  560. "Begone..." He said once, that seemed to work he thought of his family coming to save his brother. They all fought against the vision, his family, they were his light.
  561. (Yami Kurokaiyo)
  562. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  563.
  564. [19:43] Well. That was actuallly almost kind of onesided- like that time Exarch Vandigan was arresting that woman at the park. There was just...so much going on around him that Duran didn't even know whether he was hitting that demon and doing any damage to it. But, he hoped his strikes were true throughout all of that rumbling and the waves of mama, fire, earth and whatever other element there was.
  565.
  566. The combined strength of everyone present there and fighting was too much for any singular target to really handle- no matter how durable it was. Still, that didn't stop the demon from trying its very beast to cause as much fear- and feed from it, it looks like.
  567.
  568. The Torments- was it called? That magic was...well, very much terrifying, much like the name said. And much like how the Exarch had said, it had his mind assaulted by some of his worst fears- and it wasn't his father dressed wierdly.
  569.
  570. The city burning- the populace lying down dead by his feet and blood everywhere. The taste of copper and the smell of smog thick in the air. It was enough to drive a man insane- and it probably would have were it not for the the fact that the young Novak knew he was surrounded by his fellow comrades from the Order and every other brave soul there, doing their best to defeat the demon much the same.
  571.
  572. It was enough to break through that dome of darkness in his mind. It was enough to shed that light into his heart that would let him persevere in the face of this monstrosity and its dark magicks.
  573.
  574. The Order would stand and the city with it. The monster would be defeated and the day saved by their combined efforts.
  575.
  576. ...And yet, there would be a scar from this encounter- a constant reminder of the dangers of demonkind and the Cursed Magic of the Occult.
  577. (Duran Novak)
  578. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  579.
  580. [19:43] Ceres silently continues to fight, constantly reminding herself to keep at it. Through all of the terror she can feel her weakness edging itself into her mind, trying to make her give up, but she resists it, remembering that a weakness is something that people should work on, that's what she's been told throughout her life, and that's the code that she lives by. She smiles as she notices the demon is getting overwhelmed, and while not confident in her own abilities yet, she knows she can do this, because theres like 30 people here, including the person that beat her twice..
  581.
  582. "Go away!"
  583.
  584. As she fires her last fireball, watching the wave of elements, steel and fist topple the giant creature, and she instantly celebrates throwing her fist into the air with pure glee.
  585.
  586. "W-We killed a demon!"
  587.
  588. She yelled, using all the energy she could muster for that small victory shout, stating the obvious probably wasn't necessary, but she hopes it will help everyone still suffering from the occult's influence on the mind to snap out of it, and notice this amazing achievement.
  589. Well, despite knights usually killing them by the dozen, its an amazing achievement in this 13 year old's eyes.
  590. (Ceres Dracoff)
  591. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  592.
  593. [19:43] It was an onslaught.
  594.
  595. While many of them might be on the lower end of the scale in terms of power, the sheer amount of magic being launched towards the demonic creature was impressive to say the least. Fireballs, chunks of earth, and even pressurized streams of water all seemed to collide into the evolved Demon, leaving it rather brutally beaten.
  596.
  597. But such an act had repercussions, it seemed.
  598.
  599. Perhaps in it's death throws, the Demon launched an attack of his own, one that brought Charon's doubts and fears to the forefront. His body lurches back, as his mind is filled with negative thoughts.
  600.
  601. Was he truly talented enough for this?
  602.
  603. Would he be stuck in the slums for the rest of life? Or found dead somewhere in a ditch, like so many others?
  604.
  605. His legs begin to tremble, and his body shakes. A part of him, deep down, wanted nothing more than to run.
  606.
  607. And for a brief moment, he almost did.
  608.
  609. But instead he musters up the courage to stand strong. Elijah's warnings, still fresh within his mind, allowed him to persevere. The mana within his body began to stir, and his thoughts soon change. He wouldn't end up like the nightmares showed him. He would survive.
  610.
  611. And so, with his fists clenched at his side, he takes a step forwards, rather than running away. His mind steels itself against the occultic torment, and hope soon returns. The torment banished through a swelling of warming energy within body.
  612.
  613. Charon then looks up at the body of the Demon. While his legs still trembled slightly, he was determined not to run. Not anymore.
  614. (Charon)
  615. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  616.
  617. [19:44] At first among the crush of people, Timothy was taking care to use small attacks, pushing the demon back, smashing it into the ground. Constrain, contain, crush. At least it was what he was doing until he felt that tinge of backlash.
  618.
  619. 'What are Ye' doing son? Isn' that thing the source of the power Yeh left to learn? Yeh ungrateful, vainglorious wretch? Grasping at powers yeh weren't meant to have...'
  620.
  621. His fathers voice, a false statement. One his father had never uttered... but the venom of it touched him. Called up other fights he had had with his old man.
  622.
  623. Perhaps, perhaps a poor choice on the demons part, because the Sell-Staves reaction was barely contained rage. The savage grin on his face turned into a scowl and pulling his staff back, the young man would pull in the force of gravity into a ball above the tip and leaping into the air he would spike it downwards, a crushing bomb of energy dragging the beast to the ground where it was set upon by others once more.
  624.
  625. But Timothy had dropped backwards, the first time he had used that spell in earnest, a need to catch his breath.
  626.
  627. Muttering to himself, and perhaps to the demon. "I ain't after that kinda power Y'shit, my path's mine. And M'dad's an idiot."
  628. (Timothy Espaze)
  629. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  630.
  631. [19:44] As soon as the demon went all out on the people Niria was using the only spell she had learn to control. Just a simple fireball and only that.
  632.
  633. While also she was trying to protect herself she was also trying to see if Argus was in danger. When she suddenly was hit by the spell Tornmentor, the spell that like they said before could bring out all of your fears.
  634.
  635. Niria just dropped down on her knees. The thought of being alone was the only thing in her mind. One by one she all the persons she had met even after becoming more easy to talk to started leaving her. And then another thought pumped up on her head. The thought of killing someone since she couldn't control her fire magic.
  636.
  637. She just covered her face and started crying the willing to fight was no more inside her. She just wanted to leave when suddenly light appeared. Which then took form of the people who actually were there for her when she needed them. The people who had helped on controling her magic, on letting her fears go.
  638.
  639. And just like that Niria slowly stood up, wiped ethe fears from her face and starting shooting one fireball after another. Even if it was the only thing she could do she atleast had to try. To protect everyone because that's what she wanted, thats what her goal was. To find a way to help everyone in need.
  640. (Niria Esmen)
  641. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  642.
  643. [19:44] Kiril would excitingly charge at the beast slashing at it with every he has but as the blade pierced it's skin he felt a tremble throughout his body that reached to his very core. and when he closed his eyes he saw a dreadful sight...In a pitch black room with no source of light there laid Angelica, Lisa, Ceres, Solon, Ryoji, and Audree all in a pile of blood with their throats slit. His breath started to accelerate, his sword arm began to shake, and his eyes began to dilate.
  644.
  645. However, just as when he was on the verge of giving up he remembered what Elijah said about the demon taking advantage of fear....and he also remembered the times when he let his friends down, when arguing with Sir. Vandigan, and then when they failed their tests. No matter what they said he still felt responsible.
  646.
  647. So in response an even stronger emotion laid bare, anger. Anger at himself for being weak enough to fall to his emotion, anger that he let down Ceres and Lisa, and anger that this monster made him feel fear. So with that anger he put all of his energy in to his own sword preparing to slash at it with everything he had, "You damned parasite, go back to hell!" Kiril would yell as he launched a super sized galeforce at the creature that held the last of his remaining strength, as he had to take a knee to rest afterwards. But a smile creeped on his face for what felt like a win to himself.
  648. (Kiril Callister)
  649. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  650.
  651. [19:45] Aaron did not hesitate in jumping towards the scene, to be the sword that strikes Osrona's enemies and to be the shield that defends it. The naivety that propelled himself to join the Order, was the same driving force behind his lack of apprehension in the battle. He strikes forth towards the demon, as he was able to strike through it's leg.. but with that strike, he froze.
  652.
  653. "You'll never be good enough to carry your family's name."
  654.
  655. These words hit him like a boulder, as he was sent onto his back by one of the demon's attacks.
  656.
  657. It was over for him.. his life flashed before he eyes as he looks up towards the gargantuan monstrosity. Everything was for nothing.. But then he looked around, he saw everyone else continuing to fight. It fueled him, it fueled him to get up and keep fighting.
  658.
  659. With their combined efforts, the demon took it's last breath and collapsed. Aaron was overcome by their accomplishment, they had taken down a powerful demon.. and they did it together.
  660.
  661. As the battle settles, Aaron sheathes his longsword on his back and catches his breath. He waltzes over towards Yvel, and attempts to place a firm hand on his shoulder. He didn't want to interrupt his conversation with the Noble lady, so he waits for the two to finish before he speaks, something he picked up from being raised around people like her.
  662. (Aaron Bittersteel)
  663. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  664.
  665. [19:45] After the wave of Occult Soma was able to see into a different reality given with his worst fears, for him, he just woke back up after the destructive blast only to see his friend Elijah impaled by a spear in front of him.
  666.
  667. "E-" He stopped as looked around the castle was on fire, many laid dead around him, Soma clutched onto him self unaware of the illusion. "SOPHIE?" He called out.... "Elosie!... Fran!....YUZA!!" Calling out his sister's name as his head turned around to look through the masses that had been slain.
  668.
  669. His worst fears were truly being awakened.
  670.
  671. From behind him, he heard a faint voice... Fran, the run of their litter, called out to him with a shaky voice. And as he turned, he saw something that would absolutely break him- all of his sibling's heads impaled by spikes.
  672.
  673. Soma stared at the vision shaking, his eyes watering to release tears down his cheeks, and his mouth opened- he wanted to scream he wanted to yell.
  674.
  675. But he was so utterly speechless- he failed... his family.. He failed the legacy..... and worst of all, he failed on the only people that depended on him.
  676. (Soma lei Duran)
  677. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  678.
  679. [19:46]
  680. {LOAD GAME}
  681.
  682. [19:46] When the beast came at the group of us, he didn't know what hit him. Everyone piled on like no tomorrow. Throwing his fire at the large demon was quite a easy task. He would scale the wall, getting a better angle. In the process he and most everyone else was hit with a massive whip of dark energy. Like Sir Soleis said, It will show you your fears; He now knows first hand.
  683.
  684. "You are a worthless bastard."
  685.
  686. "You can't become a Knight your just a farm boy."
  687.
  688. "You have no magical capabilities."
  689.
  690. "Your Mother will die and you can do nothing about it."
  691.
  692. These lines were said through his head as he would reel in shock. He didn't actually think he would get hit by this. He leaned to his inter flame to guide him. Using his asperations as his 'Light' Using all his force he would increase that power to overcome this mind game. Being shown all the worst outcomes of his life. It was jarring but soon the flame burning bright and eradicated the Darkness.
  693.
  694. He comes back to as he new person almost. With no thought of it even if he doesn't have an attunement with Light; He finally has learned how to evoke his magic with ease. The one upside of all of these... Horrible experiences. After getting out he would look around himself to see who is still in the demons grasp. As would move to help however he could.
  695. (Solon Tofusin )
  696. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  697.
  698. [19:46] Some minutes went by, some fighting happened, with all the magi present unleashing ripples of manner seemingly intent on bringing down the down. Rightfully so, but she really thought magic used in such means came out dangerous when fighting in such large groups.
  699.
  700. It all ended well enough, so she thought, at the least. She found herself one of the few effected by a sudden backlash of the demon vile magic. To reach at her, to draw out a fear of some kind.
  701.
  702. She had some, of course she did, yet she thought of most frivolous.
  703.
  704. Yet, the one that struck at her much, was a fear of lost. She took stumbling steps forward, almost falling over as she tried to reach for her brother. Whatever the fear she might've been afflicted with seemed to have caused her to nearly stop in her steps.
  705.
  706. Eloise took a deep breath. Such fears were pointless to fret over. She couldn't linger on them, for they brought what she feared for the most. Her posture straightened, as well as she could manage it.
  707.
  708. "Soma..." Another breath was taken, she wanted to speak. She seemed anger. Her hand raised to even pop him for one reason or another. "... let's... Let's go. Sophie and Yuza are around..."
  709. (Eloise cos Duran)
  710. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  711.
  712. [19:47] His armor had taken only a hit or two, but in the spots not covered by holy glyphs there were black tears. He took a moment to mend and repair his armor. With a touch of magic and some mending glyphs, he'd seal the one or two dents on his armor before looking back to all the other knights, waiting to see when something else might happen.
  713. (Calciphier Fooma)
  714. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  715.
  716. [19:47] As the wave would crash into him the boy would be shown his most base fears the thought of losing it all and being completely helpless to stop it.
  717.
  718. His friends and family, the life he had lived so gar allof it stripped away from him, and despite his aspirations and goals all he felt was a feeling of utter failure as not only had he been lead to ruin but he stood no chance of stopping it.
  719.
  720. But this image more than anything shook him mentally, but he refused, refused to believe that he would be so weak, that everything could crumble that quickly. Maybe a bit optimistic but that's what this child believe and he was sticking to that belief.
  721.
  722. Muttering to himself just a simple phrase that always managed to make him calm down, "I'll be fine.. I will be strong when the time comes, because I have to be.." It wasn't a choice it was a statement, he HAD to be strong, and so he would be. And throw that he was able to calm down and look past the illusion, still a bit shake by it all.
  723. (Lygon Neohn)
  724. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  725.
  726. [19:47] Vytal stands at odds with his greatest fear... What did he fear? It had to be something important, he hadn't been one to really show 'fear' but he had times of intimidation.. So what did he 'fear'? It was simple, what he feared was the death of his parents... That thing that had already happened, but now he faced the consequences... No home, no family and a lonely existence- It was life in death, that what his dead parents equivalated to him.
  727.
  728. He stood there for a second, stuck and unable to move personally for a second in the middle of the fighting but he heard the voices, 'Do not worry, this is not your end.. They may be gone but you are here and your family is with you.' He started to move, like a lock had been picked and unclicked around his body.
  729.
  730. He fought back his fears though the help of another... He took a deep breath as his eyes went back to that cyan blue color before. He stood there and looked around at all the clashing iron, fists and magic that hit that beast and he followed suit again, why wouldn't he? It was normal of him to go in punching like always... Why stop now? He made a final push, magic and fists moving together in semi simultaneous harmony.
  731.
  732. He smiled, this is what he wanted to do... He wanted to fight for more than himself, He wanted to fight with others for something important. A demon in the city was damn important as well. Who knows the problems it could cause, who knows what would happen when someone couldn't resist their fears? Could they die like that? No, Vytal wouldn't let someone go through that lying down and neither would everyone else who stood nearby.
  733.
  734. "ARHHHHH!!!!! STARS GUIDE ME!" As he spoke those words, He heard a response. 'As always, we have guided you since your loss and we guide you now and forever...' He raised his fist, a distorted wave hits the creature and he smacks it into his gut one last time while others finished it off in their own bouts with it... It was essentially just food for all. A free for all.
  735. (Vytal Endore)
  736. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  737.
  738. [19:47] Successful the teenage girl was in assisting in the destruction of the Daemon. It could not stance a chance against so many people at once, only being able to strike it a few times before it was demolished. She smiled at the sight of it's death and looked at her brothers. Suddenly everything went black, she saw and felt herself falling down a never ending pit of darkness in reality she dropped her blade and stood there shaking but in her mind much more was taking place.
  739.
  740. She noticed death faces of her family poking in and out of the dark veil that consumed her. Each of them had a grime message to rely.
  741.
  742. "You are nothing, you are the reason we are dead, you will never be good at anything you weakling you useless sorry excuse for a sister."
  743.
  744. Visions of her brothers dying repeatedly flashed before her over and over again. Genesis began to feel a tug at her heart, tears would fall from her eyes as she screamed out to them. " Nooo, I'm sorry! WAIT!"
  745. But in the end it was no use.
  746.
  747. What seem like hours for her was probably a few minutes to the others but she finally found the will to carry on...
  748. " I won't let you down brother, I am a Manijgera, I WILL BE SOMEONE AND I WON'T LET YOU DIE ON ME!"
  749.
  750. A light of hope glimmered in her chest that consumed her, it stopped her fall entirely. Now surround her like a barrier she was able to stand inside it, no longer falling, the barrier exploded casting out all of the darkness. When Genesis finally came back to her sense she opened her eyes to find that she was surrounded by the people dealing with the same affliction. She noticed her blade on the ground with haste she snatched it up and ran towards her brothers.
  751.
  752. " Are you ok, big brother? She asked, shaking them about.
  753. (Genesis Manijgera)
  754. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  755.
  756. [19:48] With an almost overwhelming amount of attacks homing in upon the Demon, Andras had been unable to even process what was occurring. The constant stream of attacks left his mind numb as the beast was dealt with swiftly. A brief moment of shock is acquired as he watches the demonic entity being pushed back. It was in that moment that he presses forward, closing the distance as he aimed to sink his blade into its putrid flesh.
  757.
  758. It lashes out violently, and a haze swam before his eyes as he dislodged his weapon and distanced himself considerably. There was a moment in which there was a small delay, before he immediately crumpled along the ground. Visions of his friends dying before him, of his failure to protect innocents come to mind. Harsh illusions of his family and friends abandoning him, and ridiculing him for his mounting failures. Foul thoughts plague his mind, crushing him under the oppressive weight of loathing and doubt. What if he wasn't good enough to become a night? What if the promise that he had shown was only a fluke, and he was discharged for incompetence? His flaws stack upon one another, burdening his shoulders until he both mentally and physically collapses.
  759.
  760. Impacting the stone flooring, he would find himself seizing up, shaking profusely as his hands dig into his head. The clatter of his sword impacting the ground gave off a distant, metallic ring. Everything was being drowned out as if his head was being dunked underwater. He tries his best to ward off the visions, but they grew to the point in which he felt overwhelmed. Seeing his precious friends being slaughtered by faceless entities, of innocent people being slaughtered because of his inability to protect them.
  761.
  762. Some people had the righteous light within them, but Andras may not have been one of them. Or perhaps, he just had enough doubts in his ability that they had left him in this shaking heap, tears streaming from his eyes as he's unale to ward off the assault properly. His mouth moves in silence, but he found himself unable to form a sentence out loud. Or perhaps he was yelling, and he simply couldn't hear himself under the deafening roar of a sea of darkness. He clambers for something to keep him afloat, but he found himself sinking.
  763.
  764. "H-help.."
  765.
  766. (Andras)
