Linton: *Stands up from the bench as the carriage draws closer, slowly stepping onto to cobblestone road to stand before it as it arrives. A slight breeze picks up, tossing his cloak and hair somewhat in it. *

*The carriage soon makes its way up to the cliff, and clatters to a stop before Linton. The Syluae driver climbs down-- definitely a younger woman, lithe, with an appraising face  --, who sizes up Linton for a moment before nodding and turning to the carriage door, opening it, and offering a hand to help its inhabitant step downwards *

Woman: *The woman who emerges is a pale figure, dressed entirely in black. Her skin is as white as snow, her body slender and tall-- perhaps only a few inches shorter than Linton. She is a heron, like the rest of the nobility, with grey feathers-- traits Navy would likely recognize after spying the Diacre children. She has long black hair which, while light, has a certain wave to it, and though it is tied up in an elaborate pattern, certain stray strands turn outwards. Her eyes are a silvery blue, like ice upon stone or steel, and are surrounded by shadows, both natural and from dark make-up.  She is wearing a tightly fitted black coat with pointed shoulders and no ornamentation and a high collar over a plain black skirt and dark shoes. A heavy, dark knitted shawl of sorts hangs around her shoulders, and wraps around her neck for warmth. She is likely in her early 30s, and she as an intelligent face-- one which, as she beholds the man before her, is quickly overtaken by a mixture of sadness and awe, her chest rising as she inhales sharply and slowly lifts a hand to her mouth. *

Linton: *Reacting similarly, his mouth opening slightly and eyebrows lifting *

*For a quiet moment, they both stand there, motionless, simply staring *

Navy: * stands as Linton does - but hangs back slightly as Linton approaches and is indeed inspected - and as the woman finally emerges. Looking her over. Blinking immediately as she sees the Diacre-features, pieces suddenly falling into place. She remains silent and motionless, not interrupting their own moment of silent contemplation *

*And then, in a heartbeat, it's over, as both rush forward to one another, the woman throwing her arms around Linton's neck, and Linton embracing her fully, holding her close as he reaches an arm to the back of her head, stroking her hair. After a moment, she pulls back slightly, and looking up at him, pushes his head down to hers, and kisses him, passionately, with the longing that over a decade of separation can instill. Not caring about the surroundings, he returns. From the north, a cool wind blows. *
