•     What does NG means ? And RTA?
NG means I start with a new file, level 1. It's opposed to NG+, which starts with the level, equipment, arts and skill of a previous playthrough. RTA means Real Time Attack, which means I can't pause timer during the run. ALl is done in one sitting.

•     How did you get level 50 already?
There is a trick that allow you to reach this level before fighting Metal Face. To do so, you need to clip through the door in Mag Mell in Tephra Cave, which is done thanks to the hitbox of on of your teammate. Then we reach Villia’s lake, get upstair and send a teammate down to attack a nearby Skeeter. Once he dies, you, as Reyn, get the aggro and bring him next to the block opposite to the Spider Queen Lair. Since you equipped Block guarder, you also have 6% to block his attacks. So what you want is now block its attack while jumping, allowing you to get higher height and therefore arrive in Tephra’s endgame secret areas, which shouldn’t be visited before lvl 90 or so and gets tons of XP thanks to that.

•     Wow… When was this trick found, and how much time does it saves?
This trick was found around early April by the Japanese community. It saves at least 3 hours, since it makes early game easier, skips 2 farm and bunch of quests.

•     So that means you could still speedrun this game without it? How? You need so much more level to finish it and it’s still done in less than 10hours!
There are some pretty cool way to farm enemies as soon as you get Melia: if you are able to push enemies from a cliff high enough they die from that just like you. However they also die if they fall in water. So we abuse this trick against Ragnell’s leg Gogolt to get fast XP and equipment. Getting a gold chest (2% chance everytime) saves 5 minutes on farm since you can get a bonus staff for Melia, which gives more XP and AP.
Also there is another really weird glitch you can do at Satorl Marsh which allows you to kill enemies by despawning them. Just put to sleep Daulton and go quite away behind him to despawn the minions.

•     What is your team for speedruns?
It depends on when the fights happens: it goes from full DPS (Shulk, Dunban, Reyn/Seven) or more survival (Melia, Dunban, Riki) depending on the fights and the level differencies.

•     What’s WR for this category?
It’s a tricky question. The best RTA time is 6h03 by Braxter. But the Japanese community doesn’t mind turbo controller, which he actually used on his run. However it’s banned in the Western communities, so the best time left is mine.
