  1. Rosenkrantz_GM IT IS THE 41ST MILLENNIUM...
  2. Rosenkrantz_GM Having been delayed in their warp transit, the Consequence has arrived at Observation Post 3401. The arrival, however, came just in time to deal with a tragic crisis. In order to ensure the security of the Naval post, Captain Lucrezia made a decision to aggressively intercept a contaminated vessel, under the command of a desperate and feeble-willed captain. Under the orders of his Captain, Master of Ordnance Mort gave his first of orders, unleashing death an destruction upon the condemned vessel. Such a test of the ship's capabilities was likely not what the Consequence's crew had expected to be their first encounter. The crew's temple-shrine has since become a much more frequently visited section of the ship, as crew and officers alike have come to seek comfort and reassurance in their actions - this is especially the case with the gunnery crews, whose colors are the most prevalent under the watch of the Lord Confessor, and his cadet priests.
  3. Rosenkrantz_GM Under orders of the Lady-Captain, the Consequence set course for the Observation post, and after two days of travel under the power of the ship's Jovian engines, the docking rites are finally being performed by the red priests of the Lathes serving aboard the ship. Commander Baileck will be greeting the Captain and his retinue in person, and delivering orders left behind by Patrol Group Koronus 112.
  4. Lucrezia waits for the rest of her command staff near the main airlock. She looks slightly worse off and somewhat in need of sleep. She was trying to somewhat take care of that problem with a cup of recaf.
  5. Makh_Chomun brushes his fur-laden shoulders as he saunters towards the Captain near the entrance of the docking umbilical that will take the Captain's retinue to the station. In tow is two squads of House Guard as escort, and 1st Leftenant Downfield, all prim and proper.
  6. Josef is checking his reports from the Medicae Deck. He is preparing a presentation for the staff about having Clinic Hours and its alternative called 'Feline Maintenance' Hours.
  7. Makh_Chomun "Greetings Captain!" He gives Lucrezia a small grin, and a small bow. "You look as if you've gone toe to toe with a space-kraken." He gestures towards her somewhat distraught figure.
  8. Rosenkrantz_GM Lt. Downfield: "Such a remote outpost. I'm willing to bet their Commander has come to greet us just for the opportunity to see new faces," she jests.
  9. Baine_Mort makes is daily check-ins with the gunnery officer, checking on the gunnery crew moral and maintenance of the ships guns.
  10. Makh_Chomun "Oh no doubt, I just hope the poor man isn't a boor."
  11. Caerwyn_Beraht approaches his downcast liege swathed in the shimmering white robes of his office. Adjusting his gilded tower of a hat, he dips into a bow before her. He comes up with a look of concern up on his own face. "Lord Chomun speaks the truth, Lucrezia. I think you should rest away before seeking egress from this vessel." He tries to force a smile, lighting up his boyish cheeks but still
  12. Caerwyn_Beraht looking rather distant and distraught.
  13. Lucrezia smiles slightly but shakes her head. "I want to get this over with first. Plus I've been having a hard time finding sleep. Was starting to consider heading down to the medicae deck for some help with that."
  14. Baine_Mort exits the elevator and finished his final check in with the gunnery officers and makes his way down the hall to the airlock where Lucrezia and Chomun are waiting.
  15. Rosenkrantz_GM The seals in front of the retinue hiss, as pressue equalizes, and the umbilical is opened up to reveal the inside of the station. The blast of atmosphere is foul, likely the result of an aging life-sustainer system on the outpost with worn filtration funnels. On the opposite end, on a platform overlooking the docking pass, the tall thin figure of Commander Baileck stands tall, with junior
  16. Rosenkrantz_GM officers at his side, and armsmen standing at attention on either side of the hall.
  17. Makh_Chomun "I'll make sure to strap you to your bed when we get back. That should take care of it." He guffaws at the idea.
  18. Rosenkrantz_GM Titus: "Lady-Captain Lucrezia Gillam, of the Consequence, and retinue coming aboard."
  19. Baine_Mort walks up next to Chomun.
  20. Caerwyn_Beraht places a reassuring hand on the shoulder of his captain. "Jest aside, we *will* see you to bed on our return. You need the sleep...and an examination. This pallid look to your skin, I find it most-" Realizing a rant on the finer points of Dermischola would avail him not, Caerwyn resovles to shut his mouth.
  21. Rosenkrantz_GM A junior officer of the outpost returns the call: "Welcome to Observation Post 3401, on behalf of Commander Baileck, and crew."
  22. Josef realizes the time. He leaves Chief Medical Officer Zulkar in-charge of the Medicae Deck and Junior Medical Officer Oliver Scatter on Cat sitting duty. Josef heads towards the airlock.
  23. Lucrezia rolls her eyes at Makh's idea before starting to cross over to the station, trying to ignore the stale air.
  24. Rosenkrantz_GM Baileck: "You're late, Captain," the Commander announces with a smirk on his face.
  25. Makh_Chomun follows after, retinue marching smartly behind.
  26. Josef catches up with the group and stays with Chomun at the back of group.
  27. Baine_Mort follow behind Chomun
  28. Lucrezia answers with a courteous smile as she offers a handshake. "Well, can't always have the tides on our side." She replies, trying to avoid the topic of the earlier engagement for the time being.
  29. Rosenkrantz_GM "With the delay of the Consequence, and the departure of your patrol group, you've been assigned to extended patrol duties until 112 returns to the outpost, Captain. A liaison officer will be joining your crew for the duration of your cruise."
  30. Lucrezia blinks. "May I see those orders, Commander?"
  31. Rosenkrantz_GM "Certainly," he removes a data chip from his slate, and hands it to you.
  32. Lucrezia produces her dataslate and tries to look the orders over.
  33. Caerwyn_Beraht grumbles to himself as silently as possible. Patrol duty? What glory is there in running around in circles? There's an entire universe out there awaiting the arrival of Caerwyn, and the holy word that works through his tongue!
  34. Rosenkrantz_GM The set of orders are primarily a set of navigation charts with a number of reports attached to each highlighted route. They place no particular level of importance to each, and provide discretion to the Lady-Captain to act on her own judgment to respond to there, or any other threats she may encounter. Those listed in the vecinty of Observation Post 3401 include the following:
  35. Rosenkrantz_GM Munitorum Supply Convoy Designate: Angevin-
  36. Rosenkrantz_GM Missionary Vessel Distress Signal-
  37. Rosenkrantz_GM Tithe Squadron Blockade-
  38. Rosenkrantz_GM Baileck: "Ah, and one more thing..." he lifts a finger in the air.
  39. Makh_Chomun While Lucrezia looks over her orders, Makh gives the immediate area a once over.
  40. Josef internally debating on whether or not his experiments would produce better results without the use of tranqs.
  41. Lucrezia looks up from the slate with somewhat tired eyes. "Yes...?"
  42. Rosenkrantz_GM "Should you decide to make a course for the Supply Convoy, there are personnal effects of one Colonel Texir, and a shipment of weapons and other battlefield supplies which could not be loaded onto their vessels on time. We're certain the Imperial Guard would appreciate such assistance, given their... situation on that rock they have to defend."
  43. Rosenkrantz_GM As you eye over the armsmen of the outpost, you notice there are no women here. The number of diverting eyes on Lt Downfield, and... even the Captain, rub the Lord Protector off the wrong way entirely.
  44. Lucrezia answers some of the looks with a intense and stern glare before responding. "Right... I was thinking I could do your little supply run and maybe check on that distress signal along the way. Is that satisfactory?"
  45. Makh_Chomun gives the armsmen the mean eye, while folding his arms.
  46. Rosenkrantz_GM Those who meet the Lord-Protector's glare, instantly snap to a forward-facing, unblinking, tense stance.
  47. Lucrezia "By the way captain... how long are the postings in this station...? Just wondering."
  48. Rosenkrantz_GM Baileck shakes his head, "These orders don't come from me, Captain. You have full discretion to attend to these on your extended patrol. I am merely passing on what the Patrol Group left for me."
  49. Makh_Chomun gives a little predatory grin. "Poor animals haven't seen a woman in some time it seems." Makh whispers to Downfield with a turn of the head.
  50. Josef cracks his knuckles and makes the sign of the Machine God.
  51. Josef "Hormone imbalance from lack of sexually activity."
  52. Rosenkrantz_GM The Commander's eyes turn back, as if making memory before he answers. "I have been stationed here for three years now, Captain. My senior crew has been with me just as long. Rotations for junior officers and armsmen largely depend on the amount of naval traffic we get."
  53. Baine_Mort continues to listen, his arms folded across his body.
  54. Lucrezia "I see... Commander, could I talk with your for a bit in private?"
  55. Josef "Solution: the Armsmen should experiment with other 'alternative' methods for treatment of this problem."
  56. Rosenkrantz_GM "Certainly," he nods.
  57. Rosenkrantz_GM He motions for his men to remain in their positions, while he and the Captain take a short walk away from the group.
  58. Baine_Mort "Alternative as in what Josef?" Baine says.
  59. Lucrezia leads him away to a corner. "Seems you have a small 'morale' problem in here. Maybe I could bring in some personnel to help with that? Just a suggestion."
  60. Josef "Self service and same gender interaction."
  61. Caerwyn_Beraht sees these lascivious glints in the eyes of those around him. A year earlier, he would have found this wanton display execrable; now, the bright eyed priest has learned to ignore such picadillos, lest he court madness or (worse still) hypocrisy.
  62. Rosenkrantz_GM "Heh... I was told this vessel's leadership was somewhat unorthodox. But this I wasn't expecting. Captains very jealously guard their numbers around here..." he comments, going slightly on a tangent.
  63. Baine_Mort "May help, though it depends if they are willing or into that." Baine responds to Josef.
  64. Josef "Depending on whether or not they succumb to their biological machinery."
  65. Lucrezia "Well, as long as things don't get too out of hand... I might be able to figure something out. Maybe on the return trip at the worst case."
  66. Rosenkrantz_GM "Truth be told, Captain, that would be a blessing to those of us on the lower-lists of the Battlefleet's priorities," he says with a short chuckle.
  67. Lucrezia "Alright, I'll see about doing a smaller supply run for you poor folks. Under certain conditions of good behaviour, of course. Thanks for lending me your ear, commander. Though, certain shipping and handling charges will apply, of course."
  68. Rosenkrantz_GM "Very unorthodox..." he nervously grins.
  69. Lucrezia "Well, ex-Navy myself, kinda know some of the problems that come with the job." She then returns to the gathering of officers.
  70. Rosenkrantz_GM "As you can see, Captain, this is a rather remote post. I don't have too much to offer. So, what... what would you deem a fair price?"
  71. Lucrezia "Hmm... what do you have to offer? Also, the girls will want some simple currency for their time... so keep that in mind."
  72. Josef finishes the important of homosexual mating in situations where a heterosexual relationship is not available to Mort.
  73. Baine_Mort "Very interesting Doc, might be something we could profit off of then."
  74. Rosenkrantz_GM "I will discuss the morale needs with my officers. And the possible costs associated, of course. I believe I will be better-prepared to continue this conversation upon your return to the outpost, should the offer still be on the table."
  75. Josef "Well, Prostitution is the oldest profession in recorded history."
  76. Lucrezia "Of course.' She smiles as they return. "Anything else I can help you with, commander?"
  77. Rosenkrantz_GM "Nothing of immediate importance, Captain. Will you be staying for long, or shall you depart to your duties shortly?"
  78. Lucrezia "Probably shortly. Specially since I have to deal with a distress call."
  79. Rosenkrantz_GM "Very well," Baileck nods.
  80. Lucrezia nods in respectful agreement before making her way back to the ship. "Right... we may have a new business venture."
  81. Rosenkrantz_GM First-Officer Titus picks up his pace next to his Captain.
  82. Rosenkrantz_GM "Business, Captain?"
  83. Lucrezia "Yep, we need to do a supply run for the outpost during our patrol. Have us depart once everything is ready. First destination is to answer a distress call."
  84. Makh_Chomun bows slightly to the Commanders before making a quick motion with his hand for the House Guard to about face and march back to the ship.
  85. Josef "We could also sell our medical services for the eventual infections and parasites which will occur if we venture in that particular route."
  86. Rosenkrantz_GM They snap to the opposite facing, and begin to march back to the Consequence, as the Chief Bosun and his men make the calls back to stations in preparation for undocking and departure.
  87. Lucrezia "I was actually thinking medical services should be free of charge as part of the deal. I want to do this as cleanly as possible."
  88. Caerwyn_Beraht "By His immaculate radiance! The red robed ruffian has devised a salient idea. I would be eager to aid Him in ministrating his ailing flock."
  89. Lucrezia "Doing this mostly because I feel bad for the lot... uh... Caerwyn, just wondering but what ailments do you believe we are talking about?"
  90. Josef "The Confessor is correct. There is a large potential of profit."
  91. Rosenkrantz_GM First-Officer Titus sends the navigation information to the Navigator's tower, while the techpriests jump to action.
  92. Makh_Chomun "Aye, the poor animals couldn't keep their eyes off the Captain and Leftenant." He shakes his head in pity.
  93. Lucrezia "Don't remind me, Lord Protector."
  94. Josef "Biological functions, nothing more."
  95. Lucrezia makes her way to the bridge to oversee last minute preparations before finally getting some much needed rest.
  96. Caerwyn_Beraht Caerwyn's face brightens. "I thought you'd never ask, Lucrezia! You have the classic culprits, like the clap, lustboile, and Immuno-slay....but one must also pay heed to newer strains, like Urifungal Infections and Black Yeast. Competent medicae such as yours truly can handle all of these things and more, but the reagents needed to do the actual curing can be quite pricey."
  97. Mike +Captain, all fighters In proper order M'lady!+
  98. =-= Mike is now known as Friendrich_Rosenkratz
  99. Caerwyn_Beraht shudders, muttering something about the dubious "blessings" inflicted on this galaxy by "He who dwells in the manse of misery and decay"
  100. Makh_Chomun Makh can't help but chuckle at that. Poor girls.
  101. Baine_Mort makes his ways to the bridge as well, contacts the gunnery officers to have the guns ready.
  102. Lucrezia "I was just making sure you were aware of what we really were talking about."
  103. Josef "Very good, Confessor. I believe you missed the 'Purple bite infection'."
  104. Caerwyn_Beraht blushes. "Prurient subject matter causes me great discomfort. But I'm sure you know that already."
  105. Lucrezia +Right... sorry that your lads didn't do much in or previous engagement. On the positive side... we are answering a distress signal. There might be some action for you there.+
  106. Friendrich_Rosenkratz +No problem captain, it fit nicely in our hourly drills anyway!+
  107. Caerwyn_Beraht stammers and stomps his feet. "I left it out because purple bite infection is prevalent in- you know what, fine. I'll give you that one, you wannaba curative cognoscenti."
  108. Lucrezia "Confessor... nothing bad about having certain urges, it's rather human."
  109. Rosenkrantz_GM Titus: "My Lady, the supplies are being loaded onto the hold, and should be finished shortly."
  110. Lucrezia "Thank you, Titus. Once they are loaded, we'll be off."
  111. Makh_Chomun "Hah! Don't let Josef get to you, he seems to enjoy getting under your skin, in both aspects I'm sure."
  112. Josef "I am not trying to get under the Confessor's skin. There is no medical or scientific need and a waste of supplies unless there is a Cutis affliction of some sort."
  113. Rosenkrantz_GM Titus: "Hold figures updated to account for an added 100 tonnes of supplies, Captain. On your command, undocking will commence."
  114. Makh_Chomun simply shrugs. "Whatever you say, Master Josef."
  115. Friendrich_Rosenkratz makes his way into the command bridge, he approaches Lucrezia and delivers an immense stack of paperwork "Just thought I'd bring you the status report of all the fighters onboard M'lady.+ he says saluting
  116. Baine_Mort "You know what priest boy, you could always call up Ziel if you need to get away from the Doc."
  117. Josef "Please, Lord Chomun. I am simply a Doctor."
  118. Makh_Chomun "Hah! Probably the only word I'd not use to describe you."
  119. Lucrezia flops onto her command Throne and then stares at the stack of paperwork. "You do remember that this isn't a Navy vessel anymore, right...?"
  120. Caerwyn_Beraht stares daggers at Mr. Mort, raising an eyebrow as if to say "really?" Shaking his head, he dignifies the sentence with a rpely: "I just might, Master Mort. At least Mr. Ziel wasn't a thrice cursed mutant-in-denial."
  121. Josef "Are my treatments not according to standards, Lord Chomun?"
  122. Baine_Mort "Good one priest boy." Baine says as he laughs.
  123. Makh_Chomun simply laughs while shaking his head.
  124. Rosenkrantz_GM "You will take this squabbling elsewhere, gentlemen. The Bridge of this vessel is no place for this nonsense," First-Officer Titus berates you.
  125. Josef is confused about the laughter.
  126. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I...I just thought it might help..."
  127. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "to know... yeah alright." he says, defeated
  128. Lucrezia blinks. "How long have you been leading flights, Friedrich?"
  129. Caerwyn_Beraht casts his gaze to the floor, ashamed. "My apologies, First Officer."
  130. Josef "I must return to my duties. It is understandable the COnfessor is confusing me with a Mutant with his limited understanding of the Omnissiah and biological/mechanical machinery.
  131. Baine_Mort stares at Titus, only responding to him with a simple node.
  132. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Just as long as I've been serving you M'lady."
  133. Rosenkrantz_GM "Armsmen. Please escort the good doctor out of the bridge," Titus commands.
  134. Lucrezia "Ah... I see... so you are still... well, green? No offense meant, of course."
  135. Josef returns to the Medicae Deck.
  136. Makh_Chomun motions for the House Guard to go about their duties.
  137. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Commanding more than three men? yes, you could say that."
  138. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "But I won't have you doubt my flying effiecency, I could chase down an Eldar fighter and turn it to ashes with my eyes closed." He says proudly.
  139. Rosenkrantz_GM Undocking rites finally release the vessel from the naval post, and the Consequence's engines hum as they come to life.
  140. Lucrezia stands up and puts a friendly arm around the wing captain's shoulders. "I see, I see... Listen, your dedication is admirable... but getting so worked up about the daily minutae of things will make you age beyond your years really quick. Instead, try to keep it banked in for combat and when it actually counts. What I'm saying is try to relax and take things a bit easier. You know
  141. Lucrezia what helps with that? Going for some drinks once in a while. I might tag along from time to time, even."
  142. Josef continues his research of the samples from Engineer Prime Ziel's 'pet project'.
  143. Makh_Chomun turns his attention to Caerwyn after dismissing the House Guard. "Mr. Beraht, I've not seen your guardian for some time now. Have you finally lost your ball and chain?"
  144. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I'll take you up on that sometime captain, in the meantime. I'll inform the flight crew that their will be a severe laxing in inspections and reports." He says smiling.
  145. Lucrezia "I still expect the craft to be in top shape, however."
  146. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz cheers coming from the flight bay are audible throughout the ship.
  147. Caerwyn_Beraht "For a time, Mr. Chomun. She's been focusing more on her meditations as of late; she is convinced her order is going to summon her any day now, challenging her to the final taste before her full intiation. For my sake, I hope this is true and that she triumphs in this endeavour. It'd mean she'd finally cease inflicting cruelty and paranoia both upon my daily life."
  148. Caerwyn_Beraht sighs, grinning like an idiot as he pictures a future without his insane, overbearing Sororita companion.
  149. Lucrezia "What about your uh... other companion...? Kinda miss her, haven't seen her in a while..."
  150. Makh_Chomun "Ah, but where'd be the challenge then? How will you be tested daily in the duties of your title?"
  151. Rosenkrantz_GM ++GELLAR FIELD COMING ONLINE++
  152. Baine_Mort "Welp, here we go."
  153. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz returns quietly to the bridge, drink in hand
  154. Caerwyn_Beraht immediately drops to a knee, a prayer on his lips.
  155. Rosenkrantz_GM The crackling of the protective field and the viewports' closing follow the announcement, as the vessel prepares for warp transit.
  156. Lucrezia closes her eyes as the transition starts.
  157. Makh_Chomun finds a seat and makes himself comfortable.
  158. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "So Lord Chomun, did you serve time in the navy?"
  159. Baine_Mort takes a seat near the weapons console.
  160. Josef places the samples away and goes to check on his feline friend.
  161. Caerwyn_Beraht "Oh great beneficent God-Emperor, your humble servants beseech thee to grant but a sliver of thy holy protection. We steal away into the realm of the enemy, on a mission most high, and only you can see us escape from that awful place. We would be lost, if but for your grace. Your sacrifice shall be repaid in kind. Ave Imperator."
  162. Makh_Chomun "Bring that bottle this way and I'll tell you a bit about where I'm from."
  163. Rosenkrantz_GM A cacophonous bang travels through the Consequence's hull as the transition begins, the empyrean swallows the ship from the material world.
  164. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz makes his way over, and passes the Lord Protector the bottle "Bet you have some war stories to tell." he says jokingly.
  165. Makh_Chomun "Ho ho, war stories? Here and there I suppose." He takes the bottle and motions for an aid to get glasses.
  166. Baine_Mort "You should tell him about the time you jumped from one ship to another in mid flight Chomun."
  167. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "You mean an Ariel boarding? that's a pretty advanced move. only completed about twenty in my career." He says nodding.
  168. Baine_Mort "While doing a loop?" Baine ask Friedrich.
  169. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Can't say I've hard to try." he says with a laugh
  170. Makh_Chomun "No I physically jumped from one shuttle to the other in vacuum, hurtling through space at mind-boggingly speeds."
  171. Makh_Chomun "Hahahaha, probably the dumbest thing I've done so far, but the adrenaline rush was great! Truly a deed worthy of song and dance."
  172. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "That's an Aerial boarding mate." he says from the rim of his glass
  173. Makh_Chomun "Young Friedrich, you can't have an aerial boarding in space, there's no air!" He laughs heartily. "Perhaps a vacuum boarding or some such?"
  174. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "must of misheard you M'lord, and I wouldn't recommend doing that again, surprised you didn't end as a smudge on the windshield."
  175. Makh_Chomun "It was a matter of importance, something that couldn't fail in light of the dynasty or your uncle for that matter. I would do it again if the circumstances were grave enough."
  176. Friedrich "Well, I hope you had a competent pilot."
  177. Makh_Chomun thumbs over to Baine Mort. "He did it."
  178. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz Grimaces at that
  179. Makh_Chomun receives some glasses from the aide and begins to pour himself and Friedrich a drink, he then proffers the young pilot his glass.
  180. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz takes it eagerly "Never had a glass in my life." he says quietly
  181. Baine_Mort "Yep, what a flight it was too." Baine responds to Chomun.
  182. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Never truly, maybe a small sip for a ceremonial toast."
  183. Makh_Chomun "Come now, you'll find your drinking legs, one glass won't hurt you.
  184. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz proceeds to attempt and down the glass in one go
  185. Makh_Chomun "Whoa there lad, slow down! Try to enjoy the alcohol."
  186. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz near the end he begins to sputter and drops the glass
  187. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz coughs out "Strong..."
  188. Makh_Chomun roars with laughter. "You'll get used to it."
  189. Rosenkrantz_GM ===SKIPAROO===
  190. Rosenkrantz_GM The Consequence exits the warp after 10 days of travel, in a system around a brown dwarf, with only one known rocky planet, and a massive asteroid disk. The source of the distress signal, is in fact somewhere inside the asteroid disk.
  191. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz Spent the time experimenting with drinking and chatting with the crew, getting to know everyone
  192. Rosenkrantz_GM Titus: "Vessel identified as the Occulus Ex Imperator, Captain. Distress signal still active and transmitting."
  193. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Captain, should I scramble the fighters?"
  194. Lucrezia "Get me a augur scan, full spectrum. And try hailing them."
  195. Lucrezia "Have the fighters do a Void Patrol around us."
  196. Rosenkrantz_GM "Aye-aye" Titus acknowledges.
  197. Baine_Mort "Captain, all weapons are on standby and will be ready for anything."
  198. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Shall I join them? or would you rather me be present?"
  199. Lucrezia "Feel free to, wing captain."
  200. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Finally." he says, making his way to the bay to inform his eagerly awaiting crew
  201. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz sends out the order to launch, and keep a tight protective field around the ship
  202. Rosenkrantz_GM "Vagabond-Class Transport. Destroyed Lathe Pattern Drives... and I'm afraid no response to our hail, Captain."
  203. Caerwyn_Beraht "I pray to Him that this is not some form of ruse, or trap. Let us tend to this vessel, and then be done with it. Who knows what other things might be attracted to this here signal."
  204. Makh_Chomun has Downfield order the Armsmen and House Guard beat to quarters just in case.
  205. Makh_Chomun "So long as it's not a plague or pox like the last vessel we dealt with. The men and women are itching to get stuck in."
  206. Lucrezia +Wing Captain, you get recon duty. Take your fighters and give our transport a few fly bys, let us know what you see.+
  207. Rosenkrantz_GM The ship bursts with activity. The impetuous fly-boys don't need to be told twice, as they race towards their attack craft, and fire up their engines, eagerly flying out to the void as soon as the launchbay is opened.
  208. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Yes M'lady.+ He says just as his ship enters the void
  209. Rosenkrantz_GM Along with the order to prepare the armsmen and Household Guard, the pilots of the transport vessels are also told to prepare to launch on a moment's notice.
  210. Rosenkrantz_GM +Furies at your command, Commander Rosenkrantz. Falling into formation.+
  211. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz Dashes ahead of the Consequence, as he approaches the Missionary Vessel, Jace uses every scanner aboard the Fighter and Friedrich flies close by, scanning the ship with his eyes
  212. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Maintain Tight spread unless hostiles spotted.+
  213. Rosenkrantz_GM +Scanners picking up all sorts of debris, Commander+
  214. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Identify?+
  215. Rosenkrantz_GM +Metal, stone, ice... the asteroid field is very concentrated ahead, Commander. It will be difficult to distinguish between debris and any shuttles.+
  216. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Well, this is your chance to prove you skill. Keep your eyes peeled and scanners runnning.+
  217. Lucrezia "Fly us into the nearest debris field and keep our augurs up and running."
  218. Rosenkrantz_GM Titus: "Aye-aye, Captain"
  219. Rosenkrantz_GM As the Consequence approaches a concentrated pocket of debris, the various bits of rock, and ice are repulsed off the hull. The ship is able to 'cut' through fearlessly, in a field that would otherwise be impossible to traverse, in a lesser vessel.
  220. Lucrezia +See anything, Friedrich?+
  221. Rosenkrantz_GM The Furies fly through an especially thick ring of debris, following their commander's flawless piloting instincts through. As soon as they clear it, both scanners and optics alike reveal the crippled missionary vessel.
  222. Rosenkrantz_GM The rear of the ship is almost entirely destroyed. The bridge has been devastated. The unforgiving asteroid field has rendered the vessel uncontrolable, and battered.
  223. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Not a beautiful sight Captain.+
  224. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +The rears gone, bridge damaged, and the asteroids haven't been kind.+
  225. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "The God Emperor has forsaken this ship." says Rook, in his usual Solemn manner
  226. Lucrezia +Alright, we'll move alongside it and start exploring it on foot. Hopefully that'll defend our beach head while we do what we can.+
  227. Lucrezia "Lord, Protector, I assume your men are up to the task?"
  228. Rosenkrantz_GM "The heavy metallic content of the ring may interfere with comms, Captain." Titus informs.
  229. Lucrezia "Even up close?"
  230. Baine_Mort "You think who ever did this is still around Captain?" Baine says to Lucrezia.
  231. Makh_Chomun "More than up to it, rearin' to go, more like. With your leave I'll prepare a boarding party immediately."
  232. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +My orders Captain?+
  233. Lucrezia "Please do, Makh."
  234. Lucrezia +Continue to fly in a perimeter around the vessel, we are on our way.+
  235. Lucrezia "We will board that vessel, see what did this."
  236. Rosenkrantz_GM Titus looks to the Comms station, implying the question. "Portable voxes are indeed more susceptible to such effects", the etherics officer nods.
  237. Baine_Mort "Shall I join Chomun then, Captain?
  238. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Think we could board it ourselves? find a little treasure!?" says Diane
  239. Lucrezia "We are all going in for this one."
  240. Makh_Chomun With a swish of his cloak, Makh makes haste towards one of the mustering decks. Along the way he comms Master Josef to bring himself and several servitors to see to any survivors. With that done he organizes a boarding party of Armsmen and a small escort of House Guard.
  241. Rosenkrantz_GM "Communication with the Consequence may not be entirely reliable. Local comms range, however, will not be affected."
  242. Baine_Mort nodes to Lucrezia and heads out to grab his equipment.
  243. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz " We are apart of the Rogue Trader ship now. Can't go treasure hunting whenever we want anymore." Say Friedrich
  244. Lucrezia "Think we could try and fix that ship's comms and use it as a relay to our portable voxes?"
  245. Rosenkrantz_GM Titus: "It is still transmitting that distress signal. Tapping into that system should give us a clear communications link."
  246. Makh_Chomun After mustering the required troops, Makh has his personal equipment brought to him and dresses accordingly to the boarding.
  247. Makh_Chomun +I'd advise the Confessor come as well, this is a missionary vessel after all.+
  248. Lucrezia "Don't tap into it until we've secured comms, I have a bad feeling it might be a trap..."
  249. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz Spots a bay on the ship, as he makes his way towards it he commands, "Jace, let me know if we can land properly in that bay." he then calls into the vox +Captain, found a landing bay, attempting to find suitable landing area.+
  250. Rosenkrantz_GM The launch bays are now busy with the Gun-cutters, preparing for their human cargo. Holding crates are swapped out with lockable seating, and emergency kits are placed in the passenger compartments.
  251. Lucrezia +Makh, ETA on first boots arriving?+
  252. Lucrezia +Friedrich, find me a bay and secure it. We are on our way.+
  253. Rosenkrantz_GM Jayce: "I see room enough for two craft a time... with a skilled pilot. Unless that bay door is opened wider from the inside, that is."
  254. Makh_Chomun +Roughly half an hour.+
  255. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Captain, the bay can hold two ships at a time, landing now and securing a perimeter
  256. Rosenkrantz_GM 1st Lieutenant Downfield is already at the launch bay, organizing the men into squads, and each squad to a Cutter.
  257. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz .+
  258. Josef arrives at Lord Chomun's boarding party with a few Servo-Skulls and servitors.
  259. Lucrezia +Understood.+ "Looks like we are going in alone."
  260. Lucrezia "Only room for one more shuttle."
  261. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz then banks the Fury, and attempts to land in the bay
  262. Rosenkrantz_GM Medicae and diagnostor servitors, multipurpose servitors, all follow in behind the Genetor.
  263. Baine_Mort arrives at the boarding party with his equipment, including his shotgun.
  264. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Landing gears down, slowing now. I want a secure perimeter around the ships in twenty seconds, make sure your lasguns are clean....Especially you Diana."
  265. Makh_Chomun +Alright boys and girls, I don't need to tell you how to do your job, but do remember to stay alive, because if you forget to do that I'll personally pile-drive you into the void.+ Makh comms this to all participating parties.
  266. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Makh, no worries. me and my crew will do all the hard work for you.+ He says jokingly into the vox
  267. Rosenkrantz_GM Once the pilot clears the narrow opening, the inside of the bay is vast and easily maneuvered. A glowing command panel on the end of the bay appears to be powered, despite the unpowered and depressurized room it's in. If not for the maglock boots of the crew, they'd be floating about the bay.
  268. Rosenkrantz_GM +Itching for a fight, Lord-Commander!+
  269. Rosenkrantz_GM The Consequence approaches as close as it safely can to the /Occulus/, while the first of the cutters readies to cross the void and into the distressed vessel.
  270. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Alright Jace, tell me what that panel is all about." he says, keeping his hand close to his Volcano-Pistol
  271. Makh_Chomun boards his appointed cutter and straps in.
  272. Rosenkrantz_GM +Mechanism appears to already be in override, Commander...+
  273. Rosenkrantz_GM With a deep vibration, the missionary vessel's bay doors begin to open wider.
  274. Rosenkrantz_GM +I've got it.+
  275. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Spooky.+
  276. Rosenkrantz_GM Downfield: "We could pour in, Lord Chomun."
  277. Josef readies his power axe and chain axe his robe while holding the Eviscerator.
  278. Makh_Chomun "Indeed. Make it so."
  279. Rosenkrantz_GM +Commander Rosenkrantz, are we clear to land?+
  280. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +All clear.+
  281. Rosenkrantz_GM With the bay doors now almost entirely open, several of the gun cutters come in on the approach to make their landing.
  282. Rosenkrantz_GM +No atmosphere detected, Lord Chomun, touching down in t-minus 30 seconds+ the pilot reports.
  283. Makh_Chomun +Very good. Standard sweep and clear people. Secure this bay on the double once landed.+
  284. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Late for the party, Lord Protector.+ he says, as he stands at the end of the bay, crew beside him
  285. Makh_Chomun waves him off. +You flyboys'll soon know your place.+ He teases the Wing-Commander.
  286. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +First to 100 kills wins.+ he says with a grin
  287. Rosenkrantz_GM Right behind the Lord-Protector, the gun-cutter transporting the genetor, and master of ordnance makes a landing, its passenger compartment opened up.
  288. Rosenkrantz_GM Then another transport... and another. Soon a platoon of Household Guard forms up behind the Chomun.
  289. Baine_Mort exits the Gun- Cutter, his lasgun in hand.
  290. Josef connects to the console to check on any status reports.
  291. Rosenkrantz_GM The console's systems links to the bay doors, the gravplates on the bay, and the lighting. The life-sustainer unit for the compartment, however, appears entirely offline.
  292. Josef activates the lighting for the Hanger section.
  293. Rosenkrantz_GM Glow panels begin to flicker into life, illuminating the bay.
  294. Josef +Life-sustainer is offline, Lord Chomun.+
  295. Josef tries to activate gravplates.
  296. Rosenkrantz_GM Low-red glowing lights signal an error. Just a second later, more than half of the occupants of the bay "fall" to the stern-most wall.
  297. Josef +I have made an error.+
  298. Baine_Mort +Yes you did.+
  299. Makh_Chomun +I don't appreciate you trying to kill my men, Josef.+
  300. Rosenkrantz_GM Worse still, the maglocks on the landing gears of the craft begin to strain against their weight...
  301. Josef +I am well aware of my mistake and it was not my intention.+
  302. Baine_Mort +You should shut it off then.+
  303. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Jace, turn it off!+
  304. Josef +I am currently pinned on a wall like an arachnida sapien.+
  305. Rosenkrantz_GM The Fly-boy companion rushes to the console, and shuts off the gravplates just as one of the maglocks fails, and the Fury's landing gear begins to give way to the attack-craft's weight.
  306. Rosenkrantz_GM Downfield: "Just half a second later, and we would have been crushed."
  307. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Everyone alright?+
  308. Makh_Chomun +Risks are the name of the game, but God-Emperor not needless ones.+ He turns to some of the pilots. +Make sure that Fury is secured!+
  309. Rosenkrantz_GM Downfield: +Minor bruising, and a dislocated elbow. We're moving to you now.+
  310. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz runs over with Jace, attempting to fix the Maglock
  311. Josef +A dislocated elbow? I'm on it.+
  312. Rosenkrantz_GM Downfield: +Go on, Armsman. The Genetor will see to that.+
  313. Rosenkrantz_GM The armsman approaches, arm bent at the entirely wrong angle.
  314. Baine_Mort makes his way over to the sealed hatch for the hall way and waits by it.
  315. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Is my baby okay?+
  316. Josef quickly grabs the Armsman with his extra set of arms to keep him from moving and having his other set of arm pops the elbow back into place before before he starts to scream.
  317. Rosenkrantz_GM Several armsmen join the Master of Ordnance.
  318. Rosenkrantz_GM Jace +Maglock is being repowered. We'll have to check it back at the launch bay.+
  319. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Figures.+ he says, before sighing +I'm beginning to sound like Rook.+ he says, before joining Mort
  320. Josef +There. Damage minimized and repair is within acceptable threshold.+
  321. Rosenkrantz_GM The armsman's face tells you that if it weren't for the void being unable to carry sound, loud grunts of pain would have filled the bay.
  322. Rosenkrantz_GM +I did hear that, you know+ the copilot transmits from inside the Fury.
  323. Makh_Chomun +Hop to people, I don't see a secure flight bay yet!+
  324. Rosenkrantz_GM One of the servitors places its sensor-arm against the wall.
  325. Rosenkrantz_GM (Binary) No atmosphere detected.
  326. Baine_Mort puts his lasgun away and switch it out for the shotgun
  327. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Jace, Rook, Guard the ship. Diana is with me.+
  328. Josef +Lord Chomun, servitor detects no atmosphere on the other side.+
  329. Makh_Chomun +Not surprising, I doubt we'll find much in the way of atmosphere on this derelict. Continue, report when you do find any atmosphere though.+
  330. Rosenkrantz_GM Downfield: +Stack-up. Open up that hatch.+
  331. Josef tries to open the hatch using the wheel mechanism with Mort's help. It doesn't move at all.
  332. Baine_Mort +Damn it, is this thing stuck as well?+
  333. Josef [Techna-lingua] commands his servitors to assist with the mechanism.
  334. Rosenkrantz_GM Household Guard bring a breaching charge from the gun-cutter, and approach the door.
  335. Baine_Mort backs off from the door.
  336. Rosenkrantz_GM The servitors attempt to open the door as commanded, but fail, confirming the Household Guard's suspicions.
  337. Rosenkrantz_GM +Lord Chomun?+ they prompt their commander
  338. Makh_Chomun shakes his head and laughs to himself. He waves his assent.
  339. Josef [Techna-lingua] commands the servitors to move away from the door.
  340. Rosenkrantz_GM +Everyone stand back+
  341. Rosenkrantz_GM The breaching charge is placed with drill-like precision.
  342. Josef moves away from the doors.
  343. Rosenkrantz_GM The Guard approaches Chomun, handing him the detonator.
  344. Makh_Chomun Without any ceremony Makh depresses the detonation rune.
  345. Rosenkrantz_GM The blast shockwave is felt as a concussive hit to your chest. Once the gas clears, the door is gone. It's a very clean breach. Hours of training have paid off.
  346. Makh_Chomun +Excellent work, clear and secure.+
  347. Rosenkrantz_GM The magboots pour in, torchlights illuminating the corridor inside.
  348. Rosenkrantz_GM A floating, frozen corpse is the first thing you see.
  349. Baine_Mort moves down the corridor, shotgun at the ready.
  350. Rosenkrantz_GM Then another...
  351. Rosenkrantz_GM and another.
  352. Rosenkrantz_GM The corridor is littered with the dead, and all manner of loose items floating about, slowly drifting, colliding with one another.
  353. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Seems like Rooks kind of party.+
  354. Makh_Chomun +To be expected...poor bastards.+
  355. Rosenkrantz_GM +Hold+
  356. Baine_Mort stops moving
  357. Josef halts.
  358. Rosenkrantz_GM +Auspex picking up sings of life through this wall.+
  359. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz holds
  360. Rosenkrantz_GM The sensor servitor presses his arm against the wall.
  361. Rosenkrantz_GM (binary) Filtered atmosphere detected
  362. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz quietly draws His Volcano Pistol
  363. Josef +Lord Chomun, atmosphere detected behind the corridor wall.+
  364. Makh_Chomun +Let's find a way in that doesn't depressurize that area.+
  365. Rosenkrantz_GM Travelling through the hallway, a glowing green console lights up a small area.
  366. Rosenkrantz_GM \\\PRESSURE EQUALIZATION CHAMBER\\\
  367. Rosenkrantz_GM Such chambers are familiar to the Rosenkrantz scion. He has served on board bays like this before. Life-Sustainer units channel atmosphere into segments of the ship in order to prevent catastrophic depressurization in adjacent compartments. Of course, the bay doors themselves would have to be sealed shut first.
  368. Josef +Lord Chomun, I will try to equate the pressure before we try to open the door.+
  370. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I've seen this before, I believe that we should shut the bay doors, that should get us some atmosphere."
  371. Makh_Chomun +Sounds great, let's do it.+
  372. Josef connects to the console and closes the bay doors.
  373. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +And yes Lord protector, fighter kills do count.+ he says
  374. Josef unhooks from the hangar console and connects to the one in the hall and equates the atmospheric pressure.
  375. Rosenkrantz_GM The atmospherics vents divert the flow of gas into the chamber... it's made grotesquely evident by the way in which the floating corpses are blown in the same direction.
  376. Makh_Chomun +We'll talk of battle kill counts later, young Friedrich, concentrate on the task at hand.+
  377. Rosenkrantz_GM (binary) Life-supporting atmospheric conditions detected
  378. Josef +Behold Success. The Machine Spirit is with me. The atmosphere is stabilized.+
  379. Makh_Chomun +Excellent, let's continue then.+
  380. Rosenkrantz_GM The console detects a pressure differential of 0.01.
  381. Rosenkrantz_GM The doors automatically begin to open.
  382. Rosenkrantz_GM On the other side, a large room is illuminated by a light source off to one side. You can see moving shadows from whatever lies ahead.
  383. Baine_Mort readies the shotgun and advances forward.
  384. Josef +Lord Chomun, we might have guests.+
  385. Rosenkrantz_GM With the atmosphere present, however, it doesn't take visual information to know what lies ahead.
  386. Rosenkrantz_GM "Help! God-Emperor be merciful, please help!"
  387. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz lowers his pistol slightly
  388. Makh_Chomun +Well that didn't take long. Advance!+
  389. Josef commands 'Snitches' to scout ahead.
  390. Rosenkrantz_GM The large, circular room is lined with thick glass. Sealed holding chambers. Inside one of them are emaciated humans, in feeble and pitiful conditions.
  391. Rosenkrantz_GM They see you, and begin to bang on their side of the glass, begging for deliverance.
  392. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Somethings off.+
  393. Baine_Mort +Orders Chomun?+
  394. Makh_Chomun As Makh advances with his forces he turns his suits laud-hailer on and tests the mic by clearing his throat. "Remain calm, we are loyal servants of the God-Emperor responding to this ship's distress signal."
  395. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz begins to scan throughout the room, swinging his flashlight through the darkness
  396. Makh_Chomun +Downfield, report to The Consequence that we've found survivors.+
  397. Rosenkrantz_GM "The God-Emperor answers our prayers! You are his instruments of deliverance!"
  398. Rosenkrantz_GM +We have no comms with the Consequence. Attempting to tap into the smallcraft's vox systems.+
  399. Makh_Chomun +Ah yes, of course. We'll need to restore the comm-arrays of this vessel in the near future. In the mean time.+
  400. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Chomun, these cells are something that locks from the /outside/.+ he says quietly
  401. Makh_Chomun +Indeed. But why are they locked up.+ He comms to everyone else, +start interrogating these people, everyone else start securing the rest of this chamber.
  402. Rosenkrantz_GM "If truly you serve the Emperor, please... we beg of you! Release us!"
  403. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz removes his helmet.
  404. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Why are you locked in here?"
  405. Rosenkrantz_GM "They left us here... to die! The miscreants!"
  406. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Who?"
  407. Baine_Mort "But why were you locked in here?"
  408. Josef +Lord Chomun, the 'prisoners' are malnourished and possibly sick. They have been in these containment cells for awhile.+
  409. Rosenkrantz_GM "I... I have lost the ability to tell how much time has passed, look!" he points to the wall. Markings tried to tell the passage of time, but stopped at certain point.
  410. Rosenkrantz_GM "Three... four... eight..."
  411. Rosenkrantz_GM The feeble man looks down at his hands, trying to count.
  412. Makh_Chomun +Not a pretty way to go.+
  413. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Can you tell me who put you in these cells? and why?"
  414. Rosenkrantz_GM The man presses his face and index finger against the wall, pointing to Baine. "THEY did this... you see? They came and left us here. They took everything... the... the..."
  415. Rosenkrantz_GM he falls to his knees, and weeps.
  416. Rosenkrantz_GM "The relics..."
  417. Josef "Pirates?"
  418. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Who is they? and what Relics?"
  419. Rosenkrantz_GM He rises oncemore, suddenly, with eyes wide open, looking straight at Josef.
  420. Rosenkrantz_GM "Yessss! PIRATES! THIEVES! HERETICS!"
  421. Rosenkrantz_GM "Heretics..." he says under his breath.
  422. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "What were the relics they took?"
  423. Baine_Mort +Chomun, we need to let the ship know we might have Pirates still near by then.+
  424. Rosenkrantz_GM His face deforms into a deep frown.
  425. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +All fighters, come in fighters.+
  426. Josef is visibly uncomfortable. He's remembering the horrors he suffered on the previous vessel he served on.
  427. Rosenkrantz_GM "Wh-who... who are you, boy? Why do you want to know about our holy relics? Are YOU one of THEM?!?" His eyes dart between all of you.
  428. Rosenkrantz_GM An expression of horror forming on his face, as he backs away from the wall.
  429. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I'm an agent of the Rosenkrantz Dynasty, we are trying to help you, we just want all the information?"
  430. Rosenkrantz_GM He shakes his head. "No... no." He covers his ears.
  431. Rosenkrantz_GM "No... no..."
  432. Josef "Lord Chomun, we can not leave them here. They have suffered enough."
  433. Makh_Chomun "I want these men taken to one of the cutters and placed under armed guard, get them some food and water." He turns to Friedrich. +Get one of your squadrons out and about, see if you can't have them contact The Consequence.+
  434. Rosenkrantz_GM +We can barely read you, Commander. Come in.+
  435. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Pirates, Inform the Consequence, be on guard.+
  436. Rosenkrantz_GM +Please confirm. You have engaged pirates on board the Missionary vessel?+
  437. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Haven't engaged, we found prisoners reporting Pirate activity. Be on alert.+
  438. Rosenkrantz_GM +Understood, Commander. Enlarging patrol radius.+
  439. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz attempts to reason with the man, but gets nowhere
  440. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Chomun, I believe we should continue and leave some armsmen to handle the missionaries.+
  441. Rosenkrantz_GM Armsmen approach the area. +Ready to take in the prisoners. Please open the door.+
  442. Josef opens the door for the Armsmen.
  443. Rosenkrantz_GM As soon as the door opens, one of the younger men rises to his feet and lunges towards one of the armsmen.
  444. Rosenkrantz_GM He grabs his weapon, and points it to his forehead.
  445. Rosenkrantz_GM "END ME"
  446. Makh_Chomun "Their duty to the Emperor is not done, take them alive."
  447. Rosenkrantz_GM Downfield: +Sir...+
  448. Josef tries to approach the young man before the Armsmen can fire.
  449. Rosenkrantz_GM +This room alone appears to be powered. Dragging them along to the bay without gravplates shouldn't be difficult.+
  450. Makh_Chomun merely nods. "See it done. See if you can't get more information out of them."
  451. Rosenkrantz_GM That's enough for the armsman to act. He grabs the man by his underarm, and drags him to the hallway from whence you came. From there, it's only a matter of dragging him across the unpowered corridor as he flails in the air.
  452. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz walks over to the door at the end of the room and attempts to open it
  453. Makh_Chomun "Now, we advance. House Guard fall in!"
  454. Makh_Chomun +Downfield, we all have our duties. And so do those poor wretches. They'll get their due soon.+
  455. Rosenkrantz_GM In the same fashion, the rest of the armsmen do the same, man-handling the feeble prisoners to the gun-cutters.
  456. Rosenkrantz_GM The Household Guard stacks up against the door on the end of the room.
  457. Baine_Mort moves over to the door.
  458. Rosenkrantz_GM A servitorized door access speaks:
  459. Rosenkrantz_GM ++ACCESS STRICTLY DENIED++
  460. Josef uses his MIU to connect to the door and opens it.
  461. Rosenkrantz_GM Inside, mounts and weapons racks line the walls. All, however, entirely empty. Whatever was once here was taken.
  462. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Looks like you missed the party Diana.+
  463. Rosenkrantz_GM +Commander, Consequence reporting a fast-approaching blip on etherics.+
  464. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Is it hostile?+
  465. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +If so, kill it.+
  466. Baine_Mort +Fuck looks like the pirates are back+
  467. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Sounds like they need me out there, good luck gents."
  468. Makh_Chomun +Commander Friedrich, I'll leave you to deal with the pirate scum, we'll continue in here.+
  469. Rosenkrantz_GM +Commander, scans reporting a voidship-sized object.+
  470. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz gives him a sharp nod and a salute, then runs back to the fury and prepares for liftoff
  471. Rosenkrantz_GM +Hezeroth-class raider, sir. Macrocannons... lance weaponry.+
  472. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Any fighters?+
  473. Rosenkrantz_GM +Impossible to detect in this debris field, Commander+
  474. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Inform the Consequence Immediately, prepare to intercept.+
