Kaorin Sakura: 	The day is sometime during the Garden of the Gods.
The time is sometime during the Playtime of Gods.
The Weather is random as almighty hell. There's been Sun, Rain, Sand, Shadow, Blackness, Hail and some other random crap like stardust and what-have-you. I can't predict the weather anymore!
The location is Viridian City.
Kaorin Sakura: 	Cass and another new arrival have just been successfully transferred to the Viridian City. They arrive at the Pokémon Center at the same time. Cass expectantly came through a trade transfer from the app Cepheus has and given free roam with her team. Unexpectantly, Zuki arrived in the same manner from Vermillion City. This being her only option and a lot of hacking involved to get her here. They find themselves in the trading room and find it empty.
Usually, there's a Pokémon at the very least stationed here to deal with wireless transfers.
Kaorin Sakura: 	We find our heroes in the lobby area of the Pokémon Center as they exit the transfer area.
	Nurse Joy: 	* Nurse Joy turns slowly as she hears the lobby door open, a grim look on her face.
* Carol turns quickly reaching for her Pokéball.
	Hilton: 	"...Is that, Cepheus?"
	Hilton: 	"Hold yer horses everyone! They're Human!"
	Carol: 	"Can we be sure...? Where'd they come from?! I thought the comms system was still down!"
	Hilton: 	"It is down."
	Hilton: 	"But they somehow made it in..."
	Carol: 	"The Husks have been showing increasing signs of intelligence. And new ones keep popping up all over the place. This could be a trick."
	Cassiopeia: 	"...I'm not Cepheus, but that was a good guess. ...I'm his sister."
	Hilton: 	"New or not, we have to take that chance."
	Nurse Joy: 	"...How's Cepheus...?"
	Nurse Joy: 	"Hilton, Cepheus has captured this woman. They're friendly."
	Cassiopeia: 	"He's alive and well. Bit winded from a few dramatic encounters, but otherwise fine."
	Carol: 	"That's great! Are there more reinforcements?!"
	Hilton: 	"Quite the change in tune, eh?"
	Carol: 	"I can't help it. Too much is unpredictable these days."
* Carrie takes a seat while everyone talks.
	Zuki: 	"I have a Suicune, Haxorus, Chandelure, Tyranitar, Abomasnow, and Lugia with me. The Lugia was trained for helping air-lift people out of emergency zones. Are there any people stuck outside still?"
* Nurse Joy looks down.
	Hilton: 	"Right now? Gary's out doing his clean up."
	Hilton: 	"We just got finished teleporting folks to his lab.
Avara: 	brb real quick
	Cassiopeia: 	"And they'll be safe there, right? How long can they hold out?"
	Hilton: 	"Our Pokémon are exhausted so we decided to take a breather here."
	Carol: 	"Safer there than anywhere else."
	Carol: 	"After some incident Gary refuses to tell us about, he's made that place nearly impossible to get out of or into without his word."
	Hilton: 	"Ingenius really. But, it sadly relies on him being alive. That's the part that worries me."
	Cassiopeia: 	"...he's taking quite a risk going out there on a regular basis then, isn't he?"
	Carol: 	"A building with a Repair Matrix installed and harder to break through than an Aggron's hide protecting its young. It's almost as if he knew this day would come..."
	Hilton: 	"Aye, it is a risk."
	Hilton: 	"But then, he's the strongest in this city."
	Cassiopeia: 	"Is he alone?"
	Hilton: 	"At the moment, yes."
	Hilton: 	"But, we made sure there weren't many left for him to clean up."
	Cassiopeia: 	"Where?"
* Nurse Joy checks something on her wrist.
	Nurse Joy: 	"He has a single husk left. Normal one."
	Nurse Joy: 	"He should be here soon."
	Zuki: 	"Alright. I guess I'll report to him, then."
	Cassiopeia: 	"Good; hopefully he can bring us up to speed."
	Hilton: 	"You cleaned out the dying ones, right?"
	Nurse Joy: 	"..."
* Nurse Joy slowly nods and looks away again.
	Zuki: 	(explanation? i'm guessing it's "people husks kill come back as husks")
	Carol: 	"Wait! I thought we were still researching a cure?!"
	Carol: 	"If they were still ali--"
	Hilton: 	"We don't have a cure."
	Hilton: 	"But we know the results."
	Hilton: 	"If they're infected and begin showing signs of it, they have to be put down."
	Hilton: 	"Half the city was lost to trying to find a cure."
	Hilton: 	"With what's left we can't run that risk."
	Hilton: 	"Don't get infected is just as important as not getting stabbed in the heart."
	Cassiopeia: 	"...so either a cure doesn't exist...or it does, but the risk for it is too great. ...hm..."
	Nurse Joy: 	"..."
	Zuki: 	"Hopefully Scion can work out a cure. Until then... we're stuck doing what we have to."
	Hilton: 	"I hope Scion is standing."
	Carrie: 	"Scion, huh?"
	Carrie: 	"Either they're doing amazingly well, or they're destroyed."
	Carrie: 	"I couldn't imagine a Husk of a Splice."
	Zuki: 	"Last I heard, it was. But I was shoved into the trade network a while ago. They're at the head of genetics research, though, so I doubt they're defenseless."
	Cassiopeia: 	"You think Splices might be immune to becoming husks, then?"
	Carol: 	"They've got a Gym Leader and Maria in the research and technology development. I doubt they'd go down easily."
	Hilton: 	"I don't think anything is immune to the infection."
	Zuki: 	"That was probably more... fear of what a husk splice could do."
	Cassiopeia: 	"Ah, I see."
* Gary enters the Pokémon Center.
* Gary immeditely moves to take a seat.
* Gary looks exhausted, as if he hasn't slept in almost a weeks time.
* Gary reaches up and wipes his forehead with his forearm, revealing the sheen of sweat along his body.
	Hilton: 	"Professor Oak. You...you really need to rest."
	Gary: 	"Ain't got time for that..."
	Gary: 	"The infection. It's taken physical form."
	Carol: 	"Did-Did it get you?!"
	Gary: 	"No. But avoid splotches now. They look hideous. You can't miss 'em. Looks like a purple puddle with eyes or something..."
* Gary looks at Cass and Zuki.
	Gary: 	"When'd you two get here...?"
	Gary: 	"Wait, Ceph...?"
	Cassiopeia: 	"Just recently, only a few minutes before."
* Gary narrows his eyes at Cass.
	Gary: 	"No, female. I apologize."
	Cassiopeia: 	"I'm his sister."
	Zuki: 	"Kato. Zuki. reporting for duty. We just traded in. Vermillion's lost the docks, but was otherwise alright when I left."
	Cassiopeia: 	"It's all right; I'm not offended. I figure since you're the head of the team, you're more familiar with my brother."
	Gary: 	"Quite. He's a brilliant man."
	Megacool: 	"Yo, Gary. You look thirsty. You want a glass of water or something?"
	Gary: 	"That sounds great."
	Megacool: 	"...Can someone hand me a glass?"
* Nurse Joy holds out a glass to Megacool from behind the counter.
* Megacool hops up and takes it.
	Megacool: 	"Thanks."
	Zuki: 	"... How are you holding that without hands?"
* Megacool points one of its arms at the glass, releasing a jet.
	Megacool: 	"Here you go. Don't worry, it's not tainted."
	Hilton: 	"Gary...you need to be at 100%."
	Hilton: 	"They're tiring you out. We need you in top shape for the city."
* Gary takes the glass and smiles to Megacool.
	Gary: 	"Thanks, man."
	Megacool: 	"And what do you mean I don't have hands? I have hands! Two perfectly good ones!"
* Gary quickly downs the glass of water.
* Megacool waved its two hands.
Avara: 	neither its sprite nor its image has hands
	Gary: 	"What else should I do, Hilton?"
	Megacool: 	(its image has its hand on its hip, and the other one pointing up)

* Megacool took the glass and gave it a refill.
	Gary: 	"Just sleep while everyone I know and love dies around me?"

	Hilton: 	"This isn't the Rayquaza, Professor Oak."
* Gary takes a gulp from the refilled glass.
	Zuki: 	"... I guess the great Gary motherfucking Oak doesn't think he needs anyone else's help."
	Hilton: 	"You can't hope to thin their numbers."
	Gary: 	"...Surge is still kicking, I see."
	Cassiopeia: 	"Brief us, please. We're here. We can help. Whatever capacity we can, we're willing."
	Gary: 	"Good. Fool's too stubborn to die."
	Zuki: 	"If you were actually listening to me, you'd have realized that already."
	Zuki: 	"I told you I'm here to help, and that Vermillion only lost its docks when I left."

* Gary looks down for a moment.
	Zuki: 	"Do you think he'd let himself die before his city was saved?"
	Zuki: 	"Do you think -we- would let him die?"
	Gary: 	"No. But I'd expect him to die so his city can stand for five more minutes."
	Gary: 	"And I'd expect him to boot you all onto a boat or something without so much as a 'get offa my shore'."
	Gary: 	"But, it's good the old man is still around. The city needs 'em more than ever."
	Hilton: 	"Gary, why not let these ladies take your place?"
	Zuki: 	"Can't really do that without a dock, now, can he?" She smirks a bit, before shrugging. "Listen, you have backup now. Don't act like you have to do everything yourself."
	Hilton: 	"You need to sleep."
	Cassiopeia: 	"We can take over for you if only for a little while. Please."
	Cassiopeia: 	"I might not be my brother, but that doesn't mean I can't help."
	Carol: 	"Can they take the place of Gary?"
	Megacool: 	"...And I'm no Lightning Hero, but I can still fight."
* Carrie hops from her seat.
	Cassiopeia: 	"It's not whether or not we can..."
	Carrie: 	"Count me in. I ain't lettin' no one take Gare's place without some aid."
	Cassiopeia: 	"It's more so we might have to."
	Carol: 	"..."
	Hilton: 	"Professor. Go back to your lab. Rest."
	Zuki: 	"We have a job to do. That's really the end of the question. We have people to protect and an army to fightl. We have our purpose and we chose to pursue it when we came here."
	Hilton: 	"Nurse! Could you look over the Professor and make sure he gets uninterrupted sleep?"
	Cassiopeia: 	"My brother sent me back here because he knows I'll be the most use. I'm here. Put me to good use. And I won't take no for an answer."
	Gary: 	"...It's not that I don't need help or don't want it."
	Gary: 	"I'm..."
	Gary: 	"I'm afraid to sleep."

	Gary: 	"I've lost contact with Mewtwo a little while ago."
	Gary: 	"He attempted to board a Sky Ship or something and was blasted. Everyone saw it. It was a beam nothing of the likes we've seen before."
	Gary: 	"The 'Hero', the Rayquaza, hell, that giant Black Rayquaza - none of them ever fired a blast that huge."
	Zuki: 	"If you sleep, there's a -chance- we'll lose, but you can still save the people in your lab. If you don't and we lose you, you take all those peoples' lives with you."
	Cassiopeia: 	"...so that's why he was so anxious to board a Sky Ship as a group."
	Gary: 	"...I'll rest."
	Gary: 	"I just hope Mewtwo's alive somewhere. I can't take the time to search for him."
	Nurse Joy: 	"Gary. Let's get you home."
	Megacool: 	"Mewtwo probably doesn't even have 'death' in his vocabulary."
	Megacool: 	"Worry never helped anyone, anyway."
	Hilton: 	"Leave me in charge."
	Zuki: 	"Psychics are always too stubborn to die. Just focus on getting rested so you can help out your city again. Do you need a lift?"

	Megacool: 	"Guilty as charged."
	Gary: 	"I can make it back."
	Nurse Joy: 	"I'm with you. There's nothing left here anyway..."
	Nurse Joy: 	"Oh wait. Hilton, spread this out, will you?"
	Megacool: 	"But we don't hold a candle to Steel-types. JEEZ. It's like they DARE people to kill them, knowing they'll fail."
* Nurse Joy turns to Hilton and leaves him with a briefcase.
	Hilton: 	"Understood."
	Gary: 	"See you guys in a couple of hours."
	Cassiopeia: 	"Sleep well."
	Hilton: 	"Carol."
	Hilton: 	"We could use your technological skills."
	Hilton: 	"I know you're scared, but will you help or are you going to the lab?"
	Carol: 	"...Nng."
	Carrie: 	"I hope she does."
	Carrie: 	"I almost break Pokéballs using them. I couldn't imagine trying to do something like repair a comms system."
* Carol facepalms.
	Carol: 	"How do you almost break a Pokéball using it? All you do is throw it!!"
	Zuki: 	"Squeezing it too hard when you hold it."
	Cassiopeia: 	"Throwing it at breakneck speed."
	Carrie: 	"I give everything my all."
	Megacool: 	"Like in baseball! ...You guys watch baseball in Kanto, right?"
	Hilton: 	"Just keep losing and dying out of that and we'll be fine."

* Zuki turns to Cassie. "Do you know anything about technology? You might be able to help with the repairs."
	Hilton: 	"We lost all communications yesterday."
	Hilton: 	"We were slowly losing it since the invasion."
	Hilton: 	"But, we lost all yesterday."
	Hilton: 	"The city is safe for the time being but there's likely husks along the routes waiting for repair teams to be sent out."
	Cassiopeia: 	@Zuki: "Not very much. I could try, but I'm not really familiar with things like that. I'd be okay at best."
	Hilton: 	"We have a comms system in both Route 1 and Route 2. Hopefully Korvin strays out of the city long enough to give aid."
	Zuki: 	"Better than nothing. Maybe you could try helping between attacks. Just do what she tells you. Unless you'd be better off doing other things?"
	Hilton: 	"They're underground and from all the explosions were likely knocked out."
	Zuki: 	"... Knew I should've taught someone Dig."
	Hilton: 	"There's suspicions that Husks have intelligence. I don't believe that's true."
	Hilton: 	"Our comms were likely knocked out by the explosions Husks sometimes do when they are killed."
	Cassiopeia: 	"Maybe, Zuki, but are you sure you'll be all right out there, just the two of you?"
	Carol: 	"We should all trade TID's for some sort of way to communicate."
	Zuki: 	"We can get air-lifted out if we can't handle it. Then it'll be a last stand at the center."
	Hilton: 	"Unfortunately, radio towers are out. We've lost any way to communicate once you're out of the city."
	Cassiopeia: 	"...That should be prevented at all costs."
	Zuki: 	"No walkie talkies?"
	Cassiopeia: 	"I don't even want that to be possible as a fallback plan."
	Hilton: 	"All manner of phones, internet and intranet are out."
	Zuki: 	"Walkie talkies use their own internal system, I thought?"
	Hilton: 	"Within the city, Pokédex's work via wireless communications but they don't go all that far. Once you hit a route, they lose you from its radar."
	Cassiopeia: 	"They do, yes."
	Hilton: 	"Pokédex's are your sorta walkie-talkie. But even those have range limits."
	Hilton: 	"Feel free to use 'em among yourselves however as you leave the city."
	Hilton: 	"But, here's the problem."
	Hilton: 	"We need both comm systems up."
	Hilton: 	"Once you get one up, the Pokédex's will be able to triple in its range so we'll be able to communicate then from longer distances."

	Hilton: 	"Once the other is up, we can use the computers again to communicate with other towns."
	Hilton: 	"We're sitting ducks without knowing the situation with other towns and planning with them."
	Zuki: 	"So, the mission is survival and protection, primarily."
	Hilton: 	"Believe me when I tell you it feels like there's no end to their minions."

	Zuki: 	"I... yeah, that's pretty much how it feels."

	Zuki: 	"... Hm. Maybe if we froze the entire area above them, the husks wouldn't be able to explode over them anymore." She looks at Carol, "I don't want to be rude, but... is there any way to boost the signal enough for you to contact us from somewhere safe? With a camera and the pokedexes or something?"

	Carol: 	"It's not as quick as anyone who can repair tech themselves, but it'll repair hardware problems if you give it enough time to run diagnostics.
	Zuki: 	"Ah, that works pretty well!"
	Zuki: 	"If we can set up a defense and just work, then we should be alright."
	Zuki: 	"The bigger concern is keeping them from getting to you guys."
	Zuki: 	"Will you have something to protect you if they attack from the other directions while we're out?"
	Carrie: 	"I have a few Pokémon with Arena Trap."
	Carrie: 	"That could buy us some good time."
	Zuki: 	"How about earth-making or earth-moving capabilities? Stuff you can make a wall with."
