- “Hey, whoa, focus,” Letter said, watching as her hands began to tremble again. It took a moment to gather herself, but Yellow focused, right on Letter’s eyes.
- “Is he telling the truth?” Letter’s concern grew into regret, accompanied with a deep embarrassment. With their minds linked Yellow got the impression that he was trying to decide what to say, which led Yellow to interject. “The truth. Is he telling the truth or not?”
- Letter didn't meet her gaze. "I've lost a ton of power, but... as far as I can tell, we're the last ones left in this universe." He looked up expectantly, waiting to see the signs of another traumatic episode, but instead he saw Yellow's even stare, a cold burn hiding behind her eyes.
