Charlie finally had it. Her usual happy and bubbly mood was currently replaced with a seething anger. It would take a lot for her to reach that intense level of fury... and someone had pushed her over that threshold.

She stood perfectly still, closed her eyes and folded her arms before taking a deep and exasperated breath. She then opened her eyes and glared at whoever it was that caused the dam to break.

“I put up with a lot of bullsht every day...” she started; “... and most of the time, I can handle it. I’ve learned how to take all of this negativity you constantly heap over me and turn it into something good. I have forgiven a lot of crap you’ve put me through, and I always am willing to give you a chance to better yourself...”

The more she spoke, the angrier she got. She could feel how her horns were slowly revealing themselves. She continued:

“I always feel that, no matter how awful you make me feel about myself, there will come a day when you surprise me and do something that shows your true colors... and yet, you constantly disappoint me. Today especially, you’ve done something that made me more furious than anyone has ever made me...”

Her eyes were glowing.

“Let me tell you something... as long as you are under MY care, I don’t want to hear you say that ever again, understood?! I forbid it! Don’t give me that look; it’s for your own good! I don’t care if you end up hating me for the rest of your afterlife; I HAVE to put my foot down and tell you the one thing I should have told you a LONG time ago!”

She pointed at the mirror.

“Charlie Magne, you are NOT worthless!”
