  1. [19:50] <NomDeNarrateur> [Er, so last time, on what probably counts as a game]
  2. [19:50] <NomDeNarrateur> [Ng Mui and Laure set off a bomb in the premises, killing some well meaning folks and probably setting stuff on fire. Good stuff, ladies.]
  3. [19:51] <NomDeNarrateur> [Ng Mui was also making up her mind about this door. Not a very honest woman, apparently.]
  4. [19:52] <NomDeNarrateur> [Laure is now a terrorist and is probably being hunted relentlessly, but ineffectually]
  5. [19:53] <NomDeNarrateur> [But before we get to all that, thrilling though it is, let us turn back the clock a bit, to the antics of Millie and Ashra, who were at some point pushing a cart. As maid-spies do.]
  6. [19:55] <Crix[Ashra]> Well, do we knock? Or pretend to know exactly what we are doing.
  7. [19:56] <NgMui> [I think you did, in fact, knock last time. Not knocking will create a time paradox]
  8. [19:59] <NomDeNarrateur> [And then maids from the future will have to warp in and fix it. It'd be terrible]
  9. [19:59] <DrKleine> [Don't do that, Snake]
  10. [20:01] <NomDeNarrateur> [Well, just work with me here]
  11. [20:02] <Crix[Ashra]> I mean, when we get to the door, what are we gonna do? I've never done this beeefooooore.
  12. [20:06] <[Atai]Millie> We're gonna serve drinks. We're pushing a cart full of alcohol and alcohol supplies. What else did you have in mind?
  13. [20:06] <Crix[Ashra]> Eating. I like that.
  14. [20:08] <Crix[Ashra]> I guess we'll just stroll in
  15. [20:08] <[Atai]Millie> Pretty sure this ain't something where you stand around and eat; you stand around and be attentive and give people booze and accept tips. And don't worry if they grab your ass.
  16. [20:08] * Crix[Ashra] pushes the door open and holds it for the cart.
  17. [20:09] <Crix[Ashra]> How crude..
  18. [20:09] <[Atai]Millie> Welcome to catering, kiddo.
  19. [20:10] <NomDeNarrateur> [ANYWAYS. The door sure is open now.]
  20. [20:10] * [Atai]Millie pushes the portable bar into the room, through the doors, looking about the place as she does so.
  21. [20:12] <NomDeNarrateur> Millie + Ashra (Mishra?): In the centre of the room is a very long conference table, packed with politicians and VIPs, each clustered in their own little clique, and doing a lot of arguing.
  22. [20:13] <NomDeNarrateur> Millie: You spot at least one man who doesn't seem very involved in the shouting and paper waving. He looks familiar, and would probably talk in blue.
  23. [20:14] * Crix[Ashra] closes the door and steps behind Millie "You're the bartender"
  24. [02:45] <NomDeNarrateur> [The cart is in the door. Repeat, the cart is in the door]
  25. [02:46] <[Crix]Ashra> Well, you're the bartender here, not me.
  26. [02:47] * [Atai]Millie pushes the portable bar into the room, and sets it off to one side of the room where she won't have to do a lot of walking to and from people at the table.
  27. [02:47] <[Atai]Millie> And that's why I make the big bucks, kiddo.
  28. [02:47] * [Atai]Millie smirks as she looks around the room.
  29. [02:48] <[Crix]Ashra> I uhahh....
  30. [02:48] <[Atai]Millie> Thaaaaaat's why I make the big bucks.
  31. [02:48] <NomDeNarrateur> From last time: Millie: You spot at least one man who doesn't seem very involved in the shouting and paper waving. He looks familiar, and would probably talk in blue.
  32. [02:48] * [Atai]Millie murmurs this last mostly to herself.
  33. [02:48] <[Atai]Millie> ...Hmm.
  34. [02:49] * [Atai]Millie gestures to Ashra, and hands her a notepad and pencil.
  35. [02:49] <[Crix]Ashra> Oh? What am I doing with these
  36. [02:49] <[Atai]Millie> Start taking orders.
  37. [02:50] <NomDeNarrateur> Man: "Gentlemen, cool yourselves. Have some drinks."
  38. [02:50] * [Crix]Ashra looks around to those who aren't having a good time, and in extension, obviously need a drink.
  39. [02:54] * [Atai]Millie takes one half of the table, and starts getting orders. She gives a little smile and a wink when she gets to Mr. Blue.
  40. [02:57] <NomDeNarrateur> Man: "Thanks, sweetie. I'm in charge of keeping these hooligans watered and satisfied. Not an easy job."
  41. [02:58] * [Crix]Ashra walks over to Millie with a full notepad, completely ignoring that she is already in conversation. "Hey I'm dooooone"
  42. [03:01] <[Atai]Millie> I don't envy you, Mr. Lee~
  43. [03:01] * [Atai]Millie takes Ashra's notepad, glances at it for a moment, and then pockets it.
  44. [03:02] <NomDeNarrateur> Man: "It pays well, and the hours are good."
  45. [03:03] <NomDeNarrateur> The man looks over at the notepad Millie takes
  46. [03:03] <NomDeNarrateur> Man: "What does the bill look like? I'm covering catering on behalf of the minister."
  47. [03:03] <[Atai]Millie> Go get out a bottle each of rum, whiskey, vodka, gin, and bourbon, as well as one of soda water and cola.
  48. [03:03] * [Atai]Millie turns back to Lee
  49. [03:04] <[Atai]Millie> Nothing too horrendous yet, sir.
  50. [03:04] * [Crix]Ashra shuffles away to grab bottles out of the cart
  51. [03:05] <[Atai]Millie> Maybe it'll startle you and raise an eyebrow, but nothing to peel paint with or cause heart attacks.
  52. [03:06] * [Atai]Millie looks back at her notepad.
  53. [03:06] <NomDeNarrateur> Man: "Ugh. No good can come out of letting these politicos touch the bottle. They'll let all sorts of things slip."
  54. [03:06] <[Atai]Millie> ...Unless I go get that joker four seats down the eggnog he ordered. Then it might go up a bit.
  55. [03:07] <[Atai]Millie> Ah, that would be mighty unfortunate.
  56. [03:08] <NomDeNarrateur> Man: "Wouldn't it just? But I'll take care of that on my end. You can just keep doing your job."
  57. [03:08] * [Crix]Ashra stands over Millie's shoulder "I got the bottles, and some glasses too. Oh hey it's that guy at the bar is he asking you owwwwuuut?
  58. [03:11] <NomDeNarrateur> Man: "Well, thank you both for your hard work. I'll ring for another round if our guests get cranky again."
  59. [03:11] * [Atai]Millie throws a spare notepad at Ashra without looking
  60. [03:12] <[Atai]Millie> You're quite welcome, Mr. Lee. We're happy to do our job.
  61. [03:13] <NomDeNarrateur> Man: "Aha. Hopefully it's almost done now. Here's something extra for yourself."
  62. [03:13] <NomDeNarrateur> The man takes out a fat envelope and tosses it onto one of your serving trays
  63. [03:13] * [Atai]Millie smiles and bows deeply.
  64. [03:14] <NomDeNarrateur> "Enjoy. Now we better--"
  65. [03:14] <[Atai]Millie> You're far too kind, sir.
  66. [03:14] * [Crix]Ashra straightens her hair after being hit in the face with a notepad
  67. [03:15] <NomDeNarrateur> OOM
  68. [03:15] <NomDeNarrateur> Ahem
  69. [03:15] <NomDeNarrateur> BOOM
  70. [03:15] <NomDeNarrateur> [At this point our plots catch up to each other. A loud explosion rocks the conference room and some of the VIPs are thrown out of their seats.]
  71. [03:16] * [Crix]Ashra grabs onto millie for support "ARE WE UNDER ATTACK?"
  72. [03:18] * [Atai]Millie grabs the envelope and stuffs it tightly into her pocket. Survival is fine, and maybe there's things blowing up, but there are certain things that take priority in life.
  73. [03:18] <[Atai]Millie> Maybe?
  74. [03:18] <NomDeNarrateur> Ashra, Millie: it feels like it came from directly below you. The security staff jump into action, which basically is just shouting out colour codes at each other. There sure are a lot these useless mooks.
  75. [03:19] <[Crix]Ashra> W-what kind of level of terror is burnt sienna?!
  76. [03:19] * [Atai]Millie looks over at the table.
  77. [03:19] <[Atai]Millie> Probably a bad one. I thought going by colors was kind of stupid. me, I'd have done it by grades of cat.
  78. [03:20] <[Atai]Millie> Level Tabby, everything's fine.
  79. [03:20] <[Atai]Millie> Level Lion; get in the car and drive the hell away.
  80. [03:20] <[Atai]Millie> Oh, right. Is everyone okay?
  81. [03:20] <[Crix]Ashra> I like that.
  82. [03:20] * [Atai]Millie looks around again.
  83. [03:20] <NomDeNarrateur> Ashra, Millie: Meanwhile, people run around you
  84. [03:20] <[Atai]Millie> Mr. Lee, you good?
  85. [03:21] <NomDeNarrateur> Millie: Mr Lee, true to type, has been disappeared
  86. [03:21] <[Atai]Millie> ...Huh.
  87. [03:21] <[Crix]Ashra> Shouldn't we uh...wait I wasn't here during the security seminar..
  88. [03:22] <[Crix]Ashra> Oh your friend left, did you get his address?
  89. [03:22] <[Atai]Millie> I guess we go. Grab a bottle of something that looks expensive and-- Oh, fuck you.
  90. [03:22] <NomDeNarrateur> As is the case with many VIPs. A lot of them are still sitting around or crying or praying but a lot of the big wigs have been surrepstitiously spirited away. Most likely by the few security boys paid for IQ.
  91. [03:22] * [Atai]Millie looks to the doors. Why aren't these people booking it?
  92. [03:23] <[Crix]Ashra> I don't think people want drink anymore.
  93. [03:23] <NomDeNarrateur> Millie: Good question. The answer is that the doors have been barred and a ton of guards are standing around it. The place is in lockdown.
  94. [03:23] <[Atai]Millie> No, I mean for you.
  95. [03:23] <[Atai]Millie> ...Or... not.
  96. [03:24] * [Atai]Millie eyes the mooks.
  97. [03:24] <NomDeNarrateur> Millie: the mooks have moved on to waving their arms around
  98. [03:24] <[Atai]Millie> ...Stay here a moment, would you, Miss, uh...
  99. [03:24] * [Atai]Millie looks at her nametag
  100. [03:24] <[Atai]Millie> ...Ashra?
  101. [03:25] <[Crix]Ashra> Oh you can read?
  102. [03:25] * [Crix]Ashra puts on a smug smile for her
  103. [03:25] <[Atai]Millie> Drink the absinthe, I hear it's good for you.
  104. [03:26] * [Atai]Millie With that, Millie walks over to the people in front of the door.
  105. [03:26] <[Atai]Millie> I don't suppose we could.... you know. ...Go?
  106. [03:26] * [Atai]Millie points at the doors.
  107. [03:26] <[Crix]Ashra> I told you I was hungry, not thirsty.
  108. [03:27] <[Crix]Ashra> STAND ASIDE, AS HEAD CULINARY TASTER I NEED ACCESS TO THE KITCHEN
  109. [03:28] * [Atai]Millie 's head slowly turns, as if on a swivel, as she looks at Ashra. What the fuck. Is she even trying?
  110. [03:29] <NomDeNarrateur> Ashra: the room surprisingly quiets. There is the distinct feeling of a lot of stares, like how Romans might watch a Christian eating a steak in the lion pit.
  111. [03:30] <[Crix]Ashra> Ahem, as I was saying this is an EMERGENCY, there could be people dying of hunger out there! What good is shrimp cocktail without any sauce?!
  112. [03:32] <NomDeNarrateur> A few of the security staff start approaching you carefully
  113. [03:34] <[Crix]Ashra> Oh good, we get escorts this time, as proper for such classy server as ourselves.
  114. [03:35] <[Atai]Millie> ...Hey.
  115. [03:35] <[Atai]Millie> You should probably /shut the fuck up/
  116. [03:35] <[Atai]Millie> Just a suggestion.
  117. [03:35] <NomDeNarrateur> It's interesting, how they start to circle you. Surely, they understand the dangers of vicious metaphorical beasts, but at the same time these Christians are just too loud and should get back to weeping and praying.
  118. [03:35] * [Crix]Ashra frowns.
  119. [03:36] <[Crix]Ashra> I'm blaming you for this..
  120. [03:36] * [Atai]Millie is aware of this circlage.
  121. [03:36] <[Atai]Millie> Me?
  122. [03:36] <[Atai]Millie> What did I do?
  123. [03:36] <[Crix]Ashra> You are the one who wanted some help so I OH SO GRACIOUSLY OBLIGED.
  124. [03:37] <NomDeNarrateur> Millie: you are blamed for this by association. Religion is pretty tough.
  125. [03:37] <[Atai]Millie> Man, I don't even know y-- Hmm.
  126. [03:37] * [Atai]Millie thinks for a moment.
  127. [03:37] <[Atai]Millie> Okay, maybe in a broad sense, but not this, here.
  128. [03:38] <[Crix]Ashra> Pfft, unimportant
  129. [03:39] <[Atai]Millie> Unimportant?
  130. [03:39] <[Atai]Millie> Bullshit.
  131. [03:40] <[Crix]Ashra> You didn't seem very phased by that explosion, possibly because you detonated it!
  132. [03:40] * [Atai]Millie snorts derisively and rolls her eyes.
  133. [03:41] <[Atai]Millie> Are you ... are you actually serious, or.. No, really. I can't tell anymore.
  134. [03:41] <NomDeNarrateur> SUDDENLY!
  135. [03:42] <NomDeNarrateur> Mishra: The door bursts into splinters at this rather opportune time. A couple of the guards are actually send flying. All heads turn.
  136. [03:42] * NgMui shatters the "door" to bits.
  137. [03:43] <[Crix]Ashra> I'm saved! Wait.. Was I ever in trouble?...
  138. [03:43] * NgMui looks around for... what was it? Documents? Yeah, those.
  139. [03:43] <NomDeNarrateur> Let us have a moment of silence for the door, which served a session and a half faithfully as an obstacle, and was, without pomp or circumstances, obliterated by an impatient Chinawoman in one attack
  140. [03:44] * [Atai]Millie closes her eyes and turns away from the doorsplosion.
  141. [03:44] * [Atai]Millie turns back, and blinks.
  142. [03:44] <[Atai]Millie> Well, see?
  143. [03:44] <[Atai]Millie> The problem got solved for us.
  144. [03:44] <[Atai]Millie> Oh, wait.
  145. [03:45] <[Crix]Ashra> Who's that?, is that your paid assassin?
  146. [03:45] <NomDeNarrateur> Ashra: heads slowly turn back towards you
  147. [03:46] * [Atai]Millie jogs back over to the portable bar, and nicks a bottle of rum and a pair of lime wedges, and begins munching on a third as she slips the bottle into her other pocket.
  148. [03:46] <[Atai]Millie> Paid what?
  149. [03:46] <[Atai]Millie> Why would I pay for an assassin?
  150. [03:47] <[Crix]Ashra> Well, that is the norm where I come from anyway.
  151. [03:47] <NomDeNarrateur> Ng Mui: you see...a lot of guards. Some have surrounded some girls in the centre of the room. Some have surrounded you. A lot of them are milled around the room. It's hard to tell what else is here.
  152. [03:47] <[Atai]Millie> Man, if I was going to pay someone to do dirty work, I'd hire a drifter to put a shiv in 'em.
  153. [03:47] <[Atai]Millie> Not...
  154. [03:47] <[Crix]Ashra> Not a ninja?
  155. [03:47] * [Atai]Millie gestures at the door-smashing chink.
  156. [03:47] <[Atai]Millie> ...all that.
  157. [03:47] <[Crix]Ashra> Right, the ninja.
  158. [03:48] <NomDeNarrateur> Mishra: you aren't helping
  159. [03:48] <[Atai]Millie> Whatever.
  160. [03:48] <NomDeNarrateur> Everyone: everything happens at once
  161. [03:48] <[Atai]Millie> Whoa.
  162. [03:50] <NomDeNarrateur> The Oriental isn't about to be slowed by a reinforced door. In a floor of action she sets upon the guards nearest to her. Did it even take a full attack? It's hard to tell, because the guards crumple like sackdolls without much opportunity for analysis
  163. [03:51] * NgMui One fist. Three blows. Mui applies the philosophy to her adversaries repeatedly until they stop getting up.
  164. [03:52] * [Atai]Millie points to the raging chink.
  165. [03:52] <[Atai]Millie> Hey, fellas? Might want to take care of that.
  166. [03:52] * [Atai]Millie is speaking to the guards around her and Ashra.
  167. [03:53] <[Crix]Ashra> I didn't join the security team this isn't covered by my contract!
  168. [03:53] <NomDeNarrateur> Ng Mui: the mooks in your general vicinity have been obliterated without a sweat. Those near and left standing are backing away, reaching for their weapons. The security chief is wide eyed in disbelief, but he is no amateur
  169. [03:53] <[Atai]Millie> ...Not you, doofus.
  170. [03:53] <NomDeNarrateur> Security Chief: "Get them all!"
  171. [03:53] * NgMui pulls her thumb out of someone's eye socket and looks to Millie. Then turns her attention to the other rejects.
  172. [03:54] * [Atai]Millie ponders the unpleasant implications of the word "all."
  173. [03:54] <[Atai]Millie> ...Huh.
  174. [03:54] * [Crix]Ashra whispers to Millie "who's side are we on? Am I on your side? Did you brush your teeth this morning?"
  175. [03:54] <NomDeNarrateur> At the word, the security chief flees to the back of the room...and everyone jumps
  176. [03:55] * [Atai]Millie looks a little put-out.
  177. [03:56] <[Atai]Millie> I'm on the side that's going to be getting potentially violent, soooo... may wanna stay over by the corner, or something. Go have a drink; the bar's decent cover.
  178. [03:57] <[Crix]Ashra> ah-ah ok, but only because I left my sword in the kitchen
  179. [03:57] <NomDeNarrateur> Mishra: mooks attack!
  180. [03:59] <NomDeNarrateur> Funnily enough, none of them really go at Ashra. All four's course home in one Millie
  181. [04:01] * [Atai]Millie notices the attention she's drawn.
  182. [04:01] <[Atai]Millie> ...Aw, for fuck's sake.
  183. [04:03] * [Atai]Millie drops into a crouch, and yanks out a sword from... fucking somewhere. In the same motion, she unsheathes the blade and swings in a wide arc at the oncoming guards.
  184. [04:04] <[Crix]Ashra> Woah, that's like so cool!
  185. [04:04] * [Crix]Ashra is behind the mini-bar cart in the corner
  186. [04:06] <NomDeNarrateur> The security chief looks in dismay as the room turns into a whirlwind. His men are diced, sliced, mashed and served on platter. It's made a mess, but the bartender and the Chinese have made a large serving.
  187. [04:07] <NomDeNarrateur> Understandably, the mooks are quite spooked.
  188. [04:07] <NomDeNarrateur> "
  189. [04:07] * NgMui is a paragon of martial arts prowess - slender limbs stronger than steel and faster than a whirlwind(fuck you, I wrote that first) turns her adversaries into lumps, chunks, and a fine red paste across the floor, walls, and occasionally the ceiling. Her arms form claws that sear through flesh, bone, and sinew all the same, her legs shatter bodies into disfigured lumps held together by skin...
  190. [04:07] * NgMui ...and fat, and her mind shoots every single one of the mother fuckers.
  191. [04:08] * NgMui then looks for the documents
  192. [04:08] <[Crix]Ashra> S-she's a demon, oh no they've found me and they're gonna take me back.
  193. [04:14] * NgMui looks around for that guy. The boss or something.
  194. [04:14] <NomDeNarrateur> Ng Mui: All other mooks shrink away from you. Or perhaps it is the room itself pulling back, so terrifying was your assault. You see papers on the desk, certainly. But which ones are important? There are a lot of them, as each VIP knew that the one who makes the decision in the end is the one who manages to write it down first.
  195. [04:14] * NgMui oh. Just takes them all
  196. [04:14] * [Atai]Millie breathes once, slowly, and returns to her feet. She flicks the blade sharply to the side with a quick motion of the wrist, then replaces it in the sheath.
  197. [04:15] * [Crix]Ashra pops up next to Millie again "Oh teach me how you did that!"
  198. [04:15] * [Atai]Millie looks down at the dead people.
  199. [04:16] <[Atai]Millie> "...Sorry, fellas. We got jobs to do."
  200. [04:16] <NomDeNarrateur> The security chief is quivering in the corner. And he smells funny now. But he -is- a professional.
  201. [04:16] <[Crix]Ashra> But my job was to feed those dead people! Unless you mean my other job, I can't talk about that, It's a secret you know?
  202. [04:17] <NomDeNarrateur> Chief: "Everyone get the chink! I'll take care of the other one!"
  203. [04:17] * [Atai]Millie looks suspiciously at Ashra.
  204. [04:17] * NgMui takes a good, hard look at "everyone".
  205. [04:17] <NomDeNarrateur> Let us also have a moment of silence for the security chief, a very brave man, even if very foolish
  206. [04:17] * [Atai]Millie recalls her saying something about a sword, too.
  207. [04:17] <[Atai]Millie> Hmm.
  208. [04:18] * [Atai]Millie looks back at the chief.
  209. [04:18] <[Atai]Millie> You sure about that, mister?
  210. [04:18] <[Atai]Millie> I mean... we really didn't need to do all ...this.
  211. [04:18] * [Atai]Millie waves her hand at the carnage.
  212. [04:18] <[Atai]Millie> Me, I just wanted to leave.
  213. [04:18] <[Crix]Ashra> Just think of the clean-up costs!
  214. [04:19] <[Atai]Millie> So did the candy-ass smartmouth behind the bar.
  215. [04:19] <[Atai]Millie> Probably.
  216. [04:19] <[Crix]Ashra> I mean look at this carpet, do you know how long it takes to get blood out of a carpet? It isn't fun.
  217. [04:19] <[Atai]Millie> The batshit gook, though... uh...
  218. [04:19] * [Atai]Millie takes a good look at the aforementioned gook, unaware that this slur is incorrect.
  219. [04:19] * [Atai]Millie looks back at the chief.
  220. [04:20] <[Atai]Millie> ...Yeah, I don't know about her.
  221. [04:20] * [Atai]Millie looks back at the oriental.
  222. [04:20] <[Atai]Millie> Can we help you, miss?
  223. [04:21] * [Crix]Ashra sticks her tongue out at Millie when she has her head turned.
  224. [04:21] <[Atai]Millie> A drink? You after somebody in particular? Or is it just kind of general mayhem with you...?
  225. [04:21] * NgMui is too busy training the eye of the dragon on anyone foolish enough to oppose her further.
  226. [04:21] * [Atai]Millie chews idly on another lime wedge.

  229. [04:22] <NomDeNarrateur> Millie: no one seems interested in a drink. Perhaps because the Chinese is crushing their minds into jelly from sheer mortification

  238. [04:25] * [Crix]Ashra starts pushing the cart towards the door, then trips a bit at Millie's suggestion, quickly walking away and giving a nervous smile to the supposed ninja.
  239. [04:26] <NomDeNarrateur> Everyone: You hear another loud sound from below you. Not an explosion per se. More like something is...collapsing.
  240. [04:27] <[Crix]Ashra> This place is a dump! I'm surprised that it hasn't just caught on fire.
  241. [04:27] <NomDeNarrateur> Ashra: you smell smoke
