First Spar with Raibaru and Hyun

(Raibaru managed to deliver a little pat upon Iko's shoulder as she walked over towards the area with Hyun. Now, the heterochromatic took the time to scan her opponent - Sizing him up and trying to determine how much of a struggle she might face.

"Just don't break my fingers, okay? I need those.")


(Hyun would quickly remove his notes that he had taken out from his backpack, placing them off to the side. A cursory glance is given before he tries to adopt the written down instructions, creating an extremely sloppy replica of Sekito's own stancing. He keeps his left hand tucked by his side, while the opposite neatly aligns itself along his rib-cage. Exhaling nervously, he'd return the eye-contact given and smile nervously!

 "Okay! Please don't punch me in the face!"

 And with that, his right foot plants itself upon the tiled flooring, attempting to deliver a relatively slow, but potentially strong punch toward her shoulder area!

 Clearly, he wasn't trying to hurt his partner. Or he had an aversion for violence.)


(Raibaru somehow managed to take a slight step off to the side as she saw the punch coming her way; It narrowly flew past her shoulder and practically grazed parts of her hair and clothes. Lifting up both hands to the best of her capabilities to guard her face despite how she seemed to value her hands more currently, the teenager sent forth what may have been the sloppiest kick ever to be seen delivered towards her opponent's legs. In fact, the movement itself almost caused the ginger to fall flat on her face! Dang!

"As you can see, I'm not that good either. What's - Hmph! Your name?" Confessed the Heterochromatic, with a thin smile and an inquiry after in the middle of her strike.)


(Hyun had not expected his half-assed punch to miss, stumbling partially as his eyes widen! Attempting to make a desperate block, he winds up being struck along the leg, nearly losing his balance as he manages to right himself! It would appear they both had done terrible in their first exchange, but it seems to inspire some sense of confidence!

 He wasn't the only one who was practically hopeless, and it'd give him the motivation to try his best!

 "HYUN!" He yells out, his voice partially cracking as he attempts to go for a full on tackle attack! He remembers what their instructor had told them, and grappling would appear to be his best bet!)


(Raibaru is either the most unfortunate individual in existence, or just -really- inefficient with Taijutsu! It almost looked like their fight was moving in slow motion because of how terrible they both appeared to be. Seeming about ready to toss a jab of some sort, suddenly the ginger found herself in a particular predicament - She was mid air in the midst of being nailed to the ground. Flying back a good foot or two, the student hit the ground with a bit of a 'thump' and it was obvious that it caused the breath in her lungs to come flying out.

Dazed for a moment but not completely out of it just yet, Raibaru, while laying on the ground, sent out a pair of knuckles and attempted to slam and dig them into Hyun's side just below his rib cage. It might miss, it might hurt or it might even tickle!

"Oof! Raibaru! Rai works!" Shouted the ginger as her beanie fell off her hair and rolled onto the hard tile somewhere. This ground really did pack a punch.)


(Hyun had managed to tackle Raibaru straight into the ground, an audible impact resonating within their immediate area! Hyun felt the rush of adrenaline and exuberance as he manages to bring his opponent down, at least once! As she's tackled downward, he would manage to briefly pin her, before a punch is thrown his way. Adopting the 'chicken wing' arm manuever, he manages to parry her strike from his side area, and stumbles back to a stand!

 Shortly after, he'd adopt the sloppily mimicked fighting pose, before attempting to dart around Raibaru's person and deliver a stern kick into her own ribs!)


(Raibaru watched as her attack miserably failed! Just as the young woman was about to take a stand she felt a foot wedge itself right against her ribcage and it definitely caused a momentary spasm and a gasp out in pain. Dang this floor was super uncomfortable, to make everything worse. Slapping a hand against the ground and pushing herself slowly to a stand soon after, assuming she'd even be allowed to, the oddball exhaled roughly as she tried to manage her footing. Speaking of footing, a right leg would suddenly provide a swooping motion over towards Hyun's own stance in hopes of causing him to topple over towards the ground just as she had moments prior.

"Ouch! You said you weren't that good. I can't tell if you were lying or if I'm just that . . . Bad!" Stammered the medic-to-be inbetween hefty breaths. Should her attack actually make an impact this time, it looked as if she'd aim for a follow-up pin just as the boy had before her.)


(Hyun had found himself stumbling back to a degree after the kick had impacted her person, a sensation of guilt prodding at the back of his mind. He had not intended to cause her an excess of pain, as this was merely a learning environment for them both. Crushing one another when they barely knew what they were doing was the last thing on his mind, after all.

 Her right leg abruptly sent itself outward, attempting to topple him to the ground, though he'd manage to react in time! It was a close rush to see who could strike out first, but he would manage to catch her leg, at the cost of being struck in the side! Wincing for a brief moment, he'd attempt to push her back down to the ground, using her extended leg as a means of disrupting her balance!)


(Raibaru found herself missing... Again... Then she found her vision suddenly skyrocketing back towards the sky. What the heck? Two fives in a row? Kevin Gates was this girl's opponent, and she couldn't even give him the jail time that he might have deserved! But, hopefully, this next attack might actually have an effect. Having hit the ground, hard, once again, not only did the ginger hear some sort of crack which probably only gave an indication of how sore her back and butt were, she didn't even have the time to inhale before she found herself roughly jabbing out yet another leg.

Lots of leg attacks came from the little inexperienced heterochromatic, but that might have simply been because of the fact that she's constantly being floored by her opponent. A filthy liar is what her opponent was. Inefficient at Taijutsu? Not a good fighter? A phony! The strike that followed from the redhead was still lacking in hatred and desire to kill but it did at least contain some ferocity this time. Who knew if it actually had any effect, though!

"Agh!" Breathed the teenager, feeling the pain.)


(Hyun was not sure whether he was lucky, blessed as a competent fighter despite his doubts, or if his opponent was just...really bad. Either way, he felt some form of pride in his ability to contend with his peer, even if she was a bit smaller than him! She struck out with a lot of leg attacks, and it was hard to discern where they'd come next! He became over-confident, however, as the desperate strike of her person is unleashed! Stumbling backward, he'd fall upon the ground from the weak strike, his balance momentarily lost!

 Releasing an audible 'oomph', he'd blink several times as he briefly loses focus. He could see Ryohei moving off to the side, the exclamation of being 'expelled' drawing a small frown.

 "..She cut your arm and didn't get in trouble? That's just as bad, isn't it?" He inquires, extending his right arm outward ot prevent Raibaru from continuing their spar.)


(Raibaru finally managed to stick herself up to her feet! It only took about . . . The entire sparring match. Pausing regardless as instructed however, the youngling took a few steps closer towards Hyun but didn't make her move just yet. Instead, the ginger found her gaze attached in the direction of Ryohei and the spar they had just been halted from continuing. Both a blue and a brown eye found themselves directed over towards Shizumi and Kana with a light frown playing onto her lips. Panting and determined to catch her breath however, the girl only made a few creeping motions closer towards her target on the ground. Perhaps trying to gain a slight upper-hand while they were distracted?

"W-When are we continuing?" Asked the eager individual, apparently trying to resume the butt-beating she was receiving. In truth, the fiery student was just trying to improve her score and her own physical capabilities.)


(Hyun frowns notably, taking in the stark difference of treatment between both parties. He glances over at Raibaru, before shaking his head.

 "That's bull. She disobeyed orders just like he did, and didn't get expelled for it. I didn't think they'd play favorites." He states quietly, attempting to focus on the task they were given. He holds resentment for how that had gone down, but he had his own handful of troubles to deal with.

 Pacing back a bit, he'd adopt his sloppy stance once more, and nod toward his opponent. He was ready, if not a bit frustrated. With her knocking him down for the first time, it would be his trn to take the offensive! Darting forward, he'd attempt to strke out wildly at her, but his heart just wasn't in this, anymore.

 Injustice had occured, in his mind!)


(Raibaru had just turned her attention back to Hyun when she noticed the attack! In truth, the girl's emotions weren't conflicted in even the slightest. She'd seen Shizumi treating an injury and that captivated most of her attention. The art itself was beautiful, and the blood as it dripped from Joji's face? Even more incredible, in her eyes. Bodily functions and natural responses to injury were oh-so-interesting to this little weirdo, but it seemed those types of thoughts and interests would have to be paused as a strike was sent towards her once more.

This time, the ginger slipped away from the strike in an almost water-like and fluid motion; Befit of someone from Amegakure, rather than the Village in the Rocks. Now, the teenager wanted to try and settle the score as she found herself performing a full-on dive towards Hyun just as he had before. He seemed distracted, and that actually kinda irritated the female. How dare he be distracted and then try and participate in the battle again anyway? Does he not think he needs to show his full fighting spirit just because she's weak?

"Grrr." Growled the Extravagant, whom squinted both of her eyes towards her 'enemy' with sudden fierce determination. Unfortunate as it was, it was almost destined that this little one would end up losing the spar, but maybe she could put him on his butt a few times at least.)


(Hyun had not attempted to mar Raibaru's strong sense of pride, but he was highly conflicted with what he perceives as an injustice in the system! The girl who held no regard for their comrades left a bitter taste in his mouth, and she might just be the first person he may come to dislike. His emotions were in turmoil, and he found himself missing entirely as his eyes widen.

He couldn't afford to lose any sort of focus, not when he was in the same precarious positioning that his opponent had been! He releases an audible yell as he's tackled downward, leaving him to tumble along the ground as she manages to acquire the advantage. He's shocked, and it serves as a means of delay as he struggles to catch up mentally.

 Throwing his hand forward, he'd attempt to push her roughly in the chest, potentially causing her to tumble over!

 "Agh!")


(Raibaru found herself suddenly atop of Hyun. Whom was the victim now!? Straddling the boy's stomach and latching down tightly, a right hand was somehow able to even pin the boy's fist to his own chest as it was sent towards her in the form of a defensive maneuver. Who knew how long she'd be able to hold this position for, but the ginger was certainly going to try! Amidst her pinning of her opponent, the redhead managed to let loose a few spirited words. While they might have been heartless in the moment, the one blue eye she possessed did seem to have an inkling of concern within its depths.

"Pay attention to me and what's going on here. I'm your opponent. Worry about them when we're finished here." Declared the female with a grunt following; An elbow was sent forth in an effort of wedging itself into the center of Hyun's chest in an effort to release the breath from his lungs as well. Of course, the student did have a little soft spot for her fellow villagers but she wasn't about to let that interfere with her grades - Unbeknownst to her peers.

"You better toughen back up, before I beat you." Warned the young adolescent, with an oddly bland tone.)


(Hyun found himself appropriately pinned, and his inability to focus had surely spelled his doom! He struggles beneath her fruitlessly, frustration apparent as his arm is pinned to his chest neatly. As he tries to sit up once more, he'd be struck in the chest, causing him to lightly wheeze as the impact causes him to writhe beneath her in pain. He feels his head lightly bounce off the flooring from the knee-jerk reaction, and an audible groan of pain escapes his lips, his left eye closing tightly.

 "S...sorry." He offers, despite the fact that she had just struck him rather hard. He should have finished his spar instead of worrying about others, but this was merely one of his many flaws as a person. With the spars being called to a finish, he'd lightly tap her arm, hoping to be able to rise up as he coughs lightly.

 "Two...two." He lets out.)


(Raibaru found herself releasing her grip and almost reluctantly crawling forth from Hyun's pinned position. A feeling of odd power surged through the girl's form and made her feel like a true queen - Something she was not likely to be able to replicate considering the odd circumstances that followed the spar. First, the girl's butt was kicked and then she started beating up some poor distracted kid. Either way, she managed to satisfy herself by proving her worth near the end even if it did feel just a bit cheap.

"Right. Guess we tied." Spoke the teenager as she finished rising. A moment of hesitation was delivered before the girl offered down a right hand towards the boy beneath her in hopes of helping him stand. Soon after, the heterochromatic shifted her attention solely upon her current instructor with a grimace.)
