- Mark of a Guardian: Through touch, Pan marks her target. The next time she casts a spell that creates a shield, the spell also applies to whoever has the Mark of a Guardian on them.
- Regroup: Pan creates a shell-type shield, spread out from her 5' in all directions and 6' upwards from the ground. This lasts until she runs out of mana or drops it.
- Crystal Mirror: Pan surrounds the target in a shell that reflects the first attack that hits it. Some damage still reaches the target, however.
- Will to Protect: Pan casts a Strong Shield™ on a target, variably protecting either their back or their front.
- The Goddess's Wish: Pan surrounds the target in a shell that heals them continuously until it is broken. The healing is mostly to soothe the pain of the target.
- Backstory:
- Ever since she was born, people protected Pan. Her mother and father, noticing how frail she was as she grew, protected her from the dangers of the outside world, sheltering her. When she got picked on for being smaller and weaker than the other kids, it was Meridah that would come to her rescue, usually ending in her sister getting in a fight for her. Knowing that all of this was happening, Pan aspired to become the one that would protect others.
- Then, a month before her fifth birthday, tragedy struck. In the middle of the night, a mistake was made when Eliza stretched while facing her husband. This lead to her husband being pushed off of the bed, bumping hard into the nightstand as he woke up from sleep and instinctively tried to catch himself. This caused the nightstand to rock, and the candle fell from its perch, rolling into a curtain. The curtain was lit aflame, spreading from here, and soon the entire room was caught in a blaze. Eliza and Luis stood no chance in their mostly-asleep state, unable to escape the room before the fire had spread enough to block their path. Noticing the flames, their neighbors began to try to help as the flames began to ransack the rest of the house. It wasn't long before the flames reached the girls' room, but luckily, Meridah had stayed awake that night, reviewing her schoolwork.
- Meridah worked to awaken her sister as the flames engulfed the room, and once she was awake, began to lead her towards the door. However it wasn't long before Pan's small lungs could no longer get in enough oxygen because of the smoke, and the littlest Vallière passed out behind her sister. Meridah, however, refused to leave her sister behind, and attempted to drag her out. She barely got her outside of their room before her sister's weight became too much in the wake of the flames. She collapsed with her sister atop her, and all she could do was scream out for help.
- By this time, almost all of their neighbors had departed, off to get water to put out the flames. Only one remained, and luckily this man heard the pleading cries of Meridah. Looking around and seeing nobody in sight, the hero decided to take it upon himself to enter the house and help them out. He endured the flames and the smoke, dragging the two sisters out of the house. However, the flaw in his plan was that he took them out one at a time, figuring that it would be more likely for one of them to survive if he got them out quickly rather than the slower pace it would take to carry both of them. This extra time inside of the building allowed more smoke to enter his lungs, and by the time that he got Meridah outside his throat had swollen, irritated by the smoke. He fell atop Pan, Meridah unconscious on his back while the man died, unable to breathe. Luckily, the two girls had avoided the majority of the smoke, since they had lied close to the ground when Pan passed out. This is the only reason they managed to survive.
- It wasn't long before the neighbors returned, buckets of water in hand. However, by now, the flames were so out of control that there was no chance that they could have put out the flames. So instead they tended to the two children, making sure that they were okay, rolling the man's body off of Pan. They had survived. Pan had, once again, been the one that was protected rather than the one protecting someone else.
- The man belonged to a strange church, one that took Pan and Meridah in until the man had been buried. The strange thing about this church was that they gave the children pieces of the man, to remember the one who had saved them. They made assumptions on what the kids would grow up to be based on how their bodies looked now. Noticing Pan's frailty, they figured that the small girl would become some kind of mage, and as such made the man's femurs into a staff for her. Meridah, meanwhile, had some budding muscles, even at her young age of 9, and because of this they determined that Meridah would become some kind of fighter. This is what lead them to the creation of the gloves that she now wears all the time, with the man's fingers woven into the fingers of the gloves.
- After these odd gifts were bestowed upon the children, they were promptly kicked out after telling the people of the church that they had been raised to worship Lilliah. They wandered until Pan's fifth birthday, and on the day they finally found a place that they could call home, a church of Lilliah. They were moved into the Rectory with the Luminary, along with one other child that the church took in.
- The Luminary was a kind man, one who took genuine interest in the children that the church took in. He could often be heard talking with one of the children into the late hours of the night, much to the chagrin of the Luminary of Kesi. He would talk at length with the children, learning about them. It was through this that he learned about the sisters' aspirations, and decided to help them reach their goals. He introduced them both to different teachers, each better suited to the individual sister. Meridah was introduced to a user of Chi, who showed her the steps of how to use Chi, while Pan was actually introduced to a retired teacher from the Royal Conservatory. It had been about 10 years since he had done any kind of teaching, but he was considered a master of the arcane in his prime, and it didn't take him long to get back into the swing of teaching. Meridah's teacher, meanwhile, was more at the adept level of using Chi, and as such, learning was slower for Meridah than it was for Pan.
- During all of this time, Pan and Meridah got close to the other girl that was being taken care of by the church, Georgia. Georgia had arrived quite a few years before them, and had lived that entire time without peers her own age. Unlike Pan and Meridah, Georgia had not been allowed to leave the Rectory at all during her stay, except for trips into the actual church. So, when the two Vallière sisters arrived, it was great for Georgia. She finally could meet people her own age.
- Family:
- Luis Vallière, Father: Deceased.
- Eliza Vallière, Mother: Deceased.
- Meridah Vallière, Sister: Living. Currently is off adventuring, unaware that Pan has left the safety of the church. She is trying to gain enough money to get a place for Pan to come and live with her. 16. User of chi.
- Luminary Paul Guata, Surrogate Father: Living. Currently still at the church.
- Archon Georgia Vallière, Step-Sister: As far as Pan knows, Georgia could be either living or dead. However, truthfully, she did ascend to become an Archon, and is very much still alive. She took the Vallière name, since they were the only true family that she knew. 18.
