The Hateful Eight

(A Tarantino Style bounty on a mass murderer)

The Rift is far from a nice place to live. There are enough wild beasts and crazy monsters which can tear your throat out before you know you're dead. Even in a place as lawless and dangerous as the Rift however, no one can escape Justice forever.
The bandits Sam and Soledad have ravaged the country side unopposed, until now. Recently, they made the mistake of targeting a nobleman's daughter, and after Sam savaged her and left her for dead, her father vowed to seek revenge.

There is a small fortune on resting on Sam's head, an even smaller one on Soledad's, and a much, much larger one for their safe live capture. Dead or Alive, they will be brought to Justice.

Of those hundred that have answered and sought the bounty, only a handful stand any chance of surviving an encounter with the killers. Eight of them, to be exact. They are...


Party 1: Dairiod - The Hunter
Name: Sairedan
Age: 170 (42)
A male Dairiod who has been stalking the rift for choice game. He doesn't care about the cash - only the thrill of hunting worthy prey. Though he is past his prime, he is a seasoned hunter, and an expert in stalking and waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Party 2: Tennegrin - The Caster
Name: Koyra
Age: 37
An assassin of the Sinedel clan of Karasan Tennegrin, Koyra is a mage of Eraldanet, blessed with manipulation of gravity. She is ambitious, and believes a high bounty like this will win her fame among her peers. The cash would only be a nice bonus.

A Redscale who flies over the Rift, hunting when she is hungry, resting when she is tired. She has caught the scent of blood on the wind, and is eager to follow it to the source.

A Jiraya Paladin in service to the Western General, when he heard of the monster terrorizing the countryside, he was compelled to seek Justice. He cares neither for the reward or the battle, but because it is right.

A warrior of the Wolf Canids, eager to prove herself in battle. She does not care for the cash, only the fame and renown she will earn in her own clan.

A seasoned bounty hunter, famous in the outskirts for bringing in the most high profile bounties of any bounty hunter. To her, this is just another contract.

Armory (1) A shard of Issateh, which manifests itself in the weapon she needs. It is commonly the form of two Greatshields she wields with two arms each.


Party 8: Wurm - The Tremor
Name: Ourea
Age: 154
A Greater Wurm who loves lesser creatures, Ourea spends her time basking in the sun, listening to the local population or giving them advice. She also occasionally grants minor wishes. In this case, an orphaned child whose parents were killed by the bandits asked her to hunt them down, and she decided to join the hunt.

Though they all chase the same target, they are not necessarily cooperating. There may be infighting as to who gets to take the bounty, or there may be two like-minded individuals who decide to team up.
One thing is for certain - it will be nearly impossible to escape all of the Hateful Eight.
