- Description: Upset that he was fired for overcooking some desserts at Forrest’s restaurant, Wilkins, with the help of Jones, ambushed Forrest and Alice in their carport as they returned home from a night out in Savannah. Both were shot in the chin and back of the head with .22 and .45-caliber weapons. The shots to the chin were up close, and the shots to the back of the head were with the assailants foot on the victim’s back. Forrest died at the scene, while Alice died on the way to the hospital. Jones reportedly bragged about the killings to more than a dozen people.
