54. The Joker has escaped from Arkham and Batman must once again bring him in - once and for all. Unfortunately for the bat, there is something even more sinister than the Joker waiting in the alley for the dark knight detective..
 55. Life isn't fair. The Joker escapes from Arkham Asylum. Bruce Wayne puts on his Batman suit, mask, and cape, and goes in pursuit. He's soon found the Joker and begins a fight to subdue the red-eyed, sneering villain. Then, suddenly, things take a surprising turn: the Joker becomes the least of Batman's worries. New enemies appear: it's as if he's found himself in another set of comic books. Can he hold his own?
 56. Batman: Dead End follows Batman after The Joker escapes from Arkham yet again. He searches for him and they eventually do battle in an alley way. While fighting though a certain Alien and its Predator join in. Will Batman survive? If your still reading this, than here's what else you need to know. 1. This is a short film: It was made by fans for fans and then released at San Diego Comic-Con and shortly after on the internet. 2. This was made to show of the director's directing skills: This means he put his all into this and the reward is some beautiful cinematography throughout the picture. 3: This is from 2003: When it was released, Batman: Dead End was critically acclaimed by Kevin Smith and Alex Ross (people of the comic book field) who both thought it was there favorite Batman film yet and the most true to the comics. Whether they still think that I don't know. My opinion: While it is not my favorite of the Batman films its still far better than Batman & Robin and for many people Batman Forever. My only complaints with this picture is that there's one beautiful camera angle of Joker's face but I feel that it wasn't used at the right time. It should have been used for buildup not mid-dialogue. Also the ending is mid-battle and it may disappoint you as it did me. overall though you can watch this for free on YouTube so why not? You'll probably enjoy it.
 57. I'll admit that I am not much of a comic book reader, but Batman has always been my favorite comic hero. I'm not loyal to the books but I have read a few graphic novels. I believe the story in this short film has been done in comics before, but I obviously haven't read it, so I was very surprised at what I saw during the second half of the film. Sorry, but I don't want to give that fun surprise away.

This is a fantastic short piece that could work extremely well as a full length feature. Standing as this lone eight minute scene, it is very exciting to see this comic-stemmed world portrayed more faithfully than it has been on film before. Batman's costume is more simple, and grittier than we've seen in all the recent screen adaptations. The Joker really does come off as truly insane rather than a bad guy who supplies comic relief. While there was really only one environment in this film, it established a perfectly dark mood that is once again, true to the darker nature of some fantastic novels and comic series that inspired this film. Director Sandy Collora has the visuals down as far as I'm concerned. Very impressive photography with a fittingly murky palette.

The only thing that I see wrong with staying true to the comic source is the dialogue. The style presented here just doesn't work as well on screen as it does in panels. That is the only thing that I feel would need to be enhanced for a longer production, aside from what a bigger budget could easily fix -- creature costumes, mainly, though they are very impressive for what they are. I'd explain more but, as said before, I'd hate to give too much away.

This really was a very exciting short film. In the age of talked-of Superman "revisions" and whatnot, it's so wonderful to see a beloved and classic character treated this fairly and faithfully. Even if this can't be expanded into a full feature, which, I assume, is the filmmaker's intent, I would love to see more of the same style Batman short features from Collorra -- hopefully expanding upon this one. Some sort of wide distribution of the shorts would be a given, as people really do need to and would love to see this and more of the same. Collora most definitely has it down.
