【剧　　情】

　　汤姆是一家电脑公司制作部主管，并且即将成为副总裁。正当他踌躇满志，准备大干一场时，老板却委任漂亮能干的美迪当副总裁，而她恰恰又是汤姆十年前的情人。更糟的是，这位新上司旧情难忘，不管汤姆已有家小的事实，在自己的办公室里欲强迫汤姆与其好和。第二天汤姆被老板叫去，说美迪要把他对她进行性骚扰的事做内部处理，但汤姆必须调任。汤姆申辩事实正好相反，但是根本没有人相信女会戏男。就这样，汤姆只得动用法律手段。从周一到周五，汤姆在电脑上一个署名“朋友”的人支持下，历尽千辛万苦，终于迎来了决战的一天。

　　故事场景是西雅图的一家尖端高科技公司，迈克·道格拉斯是未来副总裁的最佳人选，不料公司与大企业合并后，夺得此一高位的人竟是他十年前的同居女友黛咪·摩尔。摩尔以老朋友的身份邀道格拉斯在下班后到她办公室叙旧，不料却主动勾引他亲热。他悬崖勒马，但第二天公司内却已传出他性骚扰女上司的消息。为了挽回事业和婚姻，他决定聘请律师调查事件真相。

　　本片以热门的性骚扰为题材，但颠覆了男人调戏女人的惯常模式。剧情发展迂回曲折，对商业竞争手段的尔虞我诈有深刻的反映。导演利用虚拟实景的高科技映象作为男女主角斗智斗力的手段，在当年颇有吸引力。影片缺乏深刻的笔触，但道格拉斯遭到漂亮女人的性侵犯可谓是一大创新。
